  1. Getting RC PKd in the first few times I've done abyss. Haven't been PKd since (about 150k nats later), but it made me REALLY mad when I came back and the stupid little ice barrage pure was screaming 'LOLOLOL OWNED!! ROFL!!'. (oh yeah, and his friend tbd me.. and it took him like 15 barrages ). I've lost more money from a death, like pretty much every time I die at a clan F2P pk, but that one made me swear.
  2. That matters little as long as new posts are relevant to the topic and not just spam. Anyway, I have like 5 of each sandwitch lady sandwitch, like 30 strange fruits, and 30+ frog tokens; and also a few of each colored egg.
  3. Any item in my bank that I 'collect'. Strange fruits, sandwitches, colored eggs, frog tokens, ect.
  4. Not really. It's more because some newb on your team that you didn't nescicarily want on your team got to the flag first thinking he could score, the opposing team lets him outside, and then they get the jump on him and take their own flag. This has happened to me; I'm level 110, I know I could have scored, I was really close to getting the flag, but then it says 'TAKEN', and who runs out with the flag, but some level 53 n00b. Then shortly after the other team gets their flag. And no, by definition it's not 'cheating'; but it certainly is unfair, and I think Jagex should change it. When they get their own flag it no longer becomes a standard CTF game, but a game of 'kill the enemy flag bearer' - which is certainly harder than taking it from a stationary flagpost. Every other CTF game I've ever seen, when the enemy touches their own flag, it goes back to their base. That is a disadvantage to the other team - because they just lost all the ground they just gained - but not somthing that prevents them from scoring, which is what letting them hold their own flag (especially when in the hands of someone with a monster defense level and bonus) is doing.
  5. To be honest getting the quest cape at a lower level is a bigger accomplishment than getting it at a higher level... every quest is possible given you have the minimum skill requirements, no quest can only be done by a higher level. But at a lower level it is actually much harder.
  6. Edgeville is the only place that pures can PK. They're designed to 'own' players of their combat level; and if they move much deeper into the wilderness they'll have a tough fight on their hands. And even if you are like 110+ combat with well rounded stats, just about everyone tag-teams at the mage bank; pretty much impossible to solo without dying all the time.
  7. Well, enough to have two crystal bows and at the lowest recharge cost. So around 6 million. But the important thing is that I have my fire cape now, and I'll never have to set foot in that hellish place again (never taking it PKing, dhraoking, or DKing, very slim chance I'll ever loose it).
  8. Yeah it pretty much has. But defeners were a lot worse; they took off a whopping 400-500k from profits. The number of 'good' untradable items has now gotten to the point of rediculousness... what's next Jagex an untradable weapon comparable to a whip? Pretty soon PKing will be as pointless as in WoW. And if that ever happens I guarantee a lot of people will go over to WoW; because the PvP is ALOT better; loss of items is the only reason people PK in RS, and if that every goes away thanks to these new items, so will a large portion of Jagex's clientelle, I promise you that.
  9. If by 'treasure hunters' you mean people that just sit at HAM or jellies collecting clues and doing them, I agree completely. More and more people are figuring out everyday what an enormous waste of time to attempt to make a 'living' off treasure trails is. The fact is, treasure trails has a considerably LOW chance of giving you good items, and it's not worth trying to make your cash that way. But there is no shortage of treasure trails items. It may be a complete waste of time to try to make ends meat in runescape off of treasure trails, but hey, if you're training your slayer, and your task monster just happens to drop a clue... why not do it? Truthfully, i'd say that 99% of the treasure trails items come from people just TRAINING that get clue drops, then do them. However, I'd say there is a bit less due to Pest Conntrol products training there instead of at monsters that drop clues.
  10. Yes you can, just do it the old way... Or... just use waterskins. It's not like granite powermining dosen't work anymore, it's still really fast, the only difference is you have to refill your water supply at the bandit camp every now and then (like every TWO HOURS...). And btw, I gained like 68-70 mining today after I heard about the update; and I think it's just fine.
  11. As said in the rants forum post, they made something a little harder for once, so I think it's a good update. You say a waterskin, is gone in 5 mins (I'll take your word for it). With 27 full skins at start, that would last you well over two hours without banking. With teleporting and carpet rides, you can get a fresh load within 5 mins and get back to mining again and stay out for another 2 hours. I don't know how long you play a day, but that would mean having to leave the spot ONCE during a 4 hour session. Is that really that big a deal to just give up on your whole plan of getting to 85 ? So, you're saying take 27 full skins and mine 1 rock, drop, mine 1, drop? That's ridiculous. Mine one, drop one, mine one drop one, till your first skin runs out. Drop skin, mine two, drop two, till your second skin runs out. Drop second skin, mine three, drop three.........oh boy, it takes effort ? Or take 20 instead of 27 skins...still gives plenty of time in the desert. As opposed to mine 28, drop 28, mine 28, drop 28 and continue as long as you possibly wish. Hmm, the latter seems significantly better. It's obviously much worse now which obviously justifies our complaint. Lol I don't see how mine 28 drop 28 is any better than mine 1 drop 1. That's what I have always done; kept one granite in my inv, then click the rock to mine and while i'm doing that right click one of the granites and prepared to drop it... once the other granite appeared in my inv from mining it, i drop that granite, then click the next rock... and repeat. I actually find that less strenuous than mine 28 drop 28.
  12. Lol I just realized how pointless all the complaining is. All you havet to do to remedy this is put 24 waterskins in your inventory mine, drop, mine drop, ect... and you have 2 HOURS AND 22 MINUTES OF UNINTERUPTED MINING. Then it takes like 5 minutes to go refill. Does it slow down the exp? Yes. Does it make granite mining the same as/worse than iron mining? No. It's still by far the best exp in the game.
  13. Noble. I could always go kill some black knights to get it to master... I mean, it's not nearly as bad as 4k chompy kills, which I did :anxious:
  14. Err... I was under the impression that you didn't need 2 refs anymore. I got in without being reffed. Have they started the whole referral thing back up again?
  15. ...please don't tell me this is the same at the bandit camp  (I could care less about mining... hate the skill)
  16. Sign up at http://www.heartunit.org It's a group of 100+ PCers; they switch worlds like every 30-45 minutes to filter out all the noobs. BTW, if you get in, and you leak to ANYONE, I will find you, and I will kill you  (well not me but the admins of HU). Oh yeah, and no bringing your pure :shame: BTW please use help and advice for things like this in the future.
  17. I use it for longer stays at monsters without having to bank. I don't mind having to use food, but I'd rather stay at the training spot and not have to leave. Also, with all your 'food' in four slots you have more room for drops without having to waste food by eating it to make room.
  18. Please remove my name from the list. As of today, 01/16/07, I am the owner of a firecape. 8-) ...oh yeah and I'm 109 now anyway :P
  19. Lol I was going to say that there are 23 skills, but then I looked at the date... 2 years old  I knew 87 was a bit high. Anyway it's 75.78/99, P2P
  20. ham, definatly. I did mabye 30 of them when the new tt items came out; and it usually only took like one inventory of junk to get a clue. But don't expect somthing good. Best thing I got in those clues was a zammy page. BTW, full ham outfit helps with pickpocketing them. There is definatly a difference. I get caught like 50% less with the outfit.
  21. Wow and I thought my RL friend was bad. He's the one who introduced me to the game, and he went on with anecdotes like about how he went to 99 wildy and got killed by several KBDs (believed him because I was a noob). Well I went into the wild myself to explore, hit the edge; and realized he was lying. I asked him about that, and he says he dosen't remember telling me that... He's told me so many lies like that, and I have believed him, because of a lack of experience. Now when he tells me somthing 'too good to be true' (not about runescape... i know almost everything about RS now...) I don't believe him. But yours, wow that's just sad... that's about as believable as someone claming they have a level 231 main.
  22. I don't think it's a good idea. More HP + more strength = 100+ hits on players with Dharoks (yes the max is currently 99 but if it was raised obviously you would have more than 100 HP). And, why would they do that when we have 99 capes? Personally I think 99 is hard enough to get, let alone level 120+ (that's like 105m somthing xp). Check the highscores...there are less than 500k people with 30 rc -.- Yes, and there is only a handful of people over 100 with 99 runcrafting. Around 120 people, and you can imagine how hard it would be to get level 200. Hmmm, and that would also force Jagex to make a new maximum amount of experience. 400million? 500million? Level 200 is actually 287,416,243,706 xp. (yeah that's 287 billion).
  23. Well at least attack and defence levels actually help past 70. Someone 99 attack can hit a lot more often than someone with 70, and someone with 99 defense is much better protected than someone with 70. The higher your prayer the more you get out of prayer pots, and the longer your prayer lasts, and with woodcutting you can cut logs faster. Firemaking... TBH that skill is so useless I don't know how you could impliment anything good for it. My point is, hunter is a skill in which levels don't affect your ability to catch things any better (that I have seen), so having the highest level hunter animal at 71 makes it a pretty shallow skill.
