God everyone is so lucky :x Best thing I got was veracs brassard, sold that for 1.9m or somthing. From a deathpile, best thing I got was 1k yew longs (~600k at the time). From a drop party, I've gotten like 300k+ in items. But you guys are all about the robins it seems... better than all those put together

Are you a "Old Timer" or a "RS2 product"?
Peronix replied to lordkrohn1626's topic in General Discussion
"Old Timer" you could say; I started around the latter half of the year in 2001, and before RS2 came out I managed around 900 some total and 64 combat, and 103 questpoints. I had around 750k networth (money was harder to come by then; small rares were around 400-500k and party hats ranged from 4-16m). Now I'm 1740ish total and almost 110 combat; I don't play anymore/less than I used to, just that things are easier now. And that dosen't bother me  -
I have. I have been keeping up with new quests (doing them the day they come out) since I did devious minds.

Yes, the +15% attack and defense bonus is only activated during slayer tasks. It's strength, the black mask doesn't give +15% defence. I found this on the KB in combat quest items: Good find :o So based on that info with 99 str + str bonus items and dagger (69 str bonus total) + pray + pot + black mask bonus the normal max on the dagger would be 36, and on kalphites and scarabs, 108. EDIT: OOPS :x Like an idiot I forgot the strength ammy gave more strength than the fury amulet. So actually the max hit would be 111 according to the calculator. Sorry! #-o

Jagex' new rares? - 3A vs discontinued - PRICE UPDATE 7/2
Peronix replied to Ts_Stormrage's topic in General Discussion
Really, these new third age items are just an extreme version of dragon chains, legs, or any other new 'rare' item. They will continue to increase, and only after a long while will they start to fall, unlike the other 'rare' items which started falling earlier due to more supply, but definatly unlike true 'rares' which have no increased supply. -
Pure essence was a complete disaster. It seems like anything Jagex does to try to prevent autoers ends up that way. Randoms are one example. Whenever Jagex releases a new random event, autoers quickly update their scripts rendering the random useless, and then over time people post horror stories of how that random did somthing to them when playing the game innocently. Go on the official forums. Some really intelligent player (everyone is saying "OMG lol using such big words wat r u using a dictionary?"... lol...) was ranting that the evil bob random kidnapped him right as he was about to finish off the dagganoth mother in the Horror from the Deep quest, and when he came back the mother was gone, and he wasted all those runes, food, and pots for nothing <- that was the most rediculous example of how random events do nothing but hurt innocent players. I've heard of people getting dragon drops, burying the bone first, and getting a 'teleport' random for burying the bone and they loose their drop. Really, the 'teleport' random need to be taken out, and randoms need to be taken out of combat and the wilderness alltogether. But Pure essence, that went completely beyond inconveniencing players. It dealt a big blow to the ecnomy, and a devastating blow to an entire skill. It tripled the price of essence, cutting the profit of the best moneymaking skill in the game by like 33%. And what did all of these horrible consequences solve? Nothing. Auoters don't need rune essence to get GP to sell for RL cash. There are pleanty of other resouces in F2P to be mined. The only reason Jagex singled this one out is because it was easy to create a bot for it; and they assumed that autoers wouldn't bother to 'train' their skills for other resouces. They were foolish to think that. Within weeks, a bunch of level 60+ woodcutting autoers showed up at the yews, and some of them payed for members to take advantage of the MASSIVE increase on the price of pure essence. What is 30 mining to get for the average player? Nothing. What is 30 mining to get for an auoter? Less than nothing. And the worst part of it all is that Jagex fails to acknowledge that what they have done has done no good and that they need another solution. Randoms don't solve the problem of autoers, yet what do they do? They just release more randoms to annoy the average player and make auoters lift a finger to incorperate them into their scripts. What has all of the ranting done about pure essence? Nothing. Jagex has said nothing on the matter since they took down the sticky in the rants forum. What I think we need is a good old fashioned riot. In the end Jagex only listens to mature players, just like they did with the SS issue, but really, the riot itself is the only reason it came to their attention. I don't think those mature players would have had a chance to talk to those Jagex moderators if they had not come down to take care of the riot.

Dreaming about RS has nothing to do with playing it too much... just playing it too late at night and then going to bed. I've had quite a few RS dreams going to bed at 11 playing RS right before that (even if it was just for an hour). One time I had a dream that I was in World 2, except in real life... I had a big bag of money with me, and with it I purchased full dragon (odd because I would never purchase dragon in real RS... I find it to be useless, and just 'pretty'). Anyway, I put it on and got my whip... and I don't remember anything after that, I think I woke up.

Just tried out the monsters; pretty terrible TBH. They all appear to have the same drops which include: Gems - so probally half keys and left halves; but lots of monsters have that, 15-60 Coins (like 75% of the time like so many of the wonderful monsters in RS...), Rune arrows (7) and/or Adamant Arrows (16) (I've had both at the same time), Marentill Tar (6), Raw Bass, Cooked Bass, Blood Runes (5), Fire Runes (37), Battlestaves, Herbs, Mithril Kites (why do so many monsters drop these?! :|). That's all I've had so far, but judging by that, and the fact that you have to pray on them 24/7, I'd say they're horrible monsters to train on. Too far spread out in the maze, too densely packed in the cavern below the maze (and multicombat with all three classes, so you'll get owned quickly if you wander out into the open parts and stay for too long). They might drop somthing unique, but I'm doubting it. If you want to explore this, prepare to use up a lot of prayer restore potions, or a whole lot of food. I'm hoping to god that the slayer masters don't assign these :ohnoes:

That quest was painfully easy. Here's a guide for it right now just to show you how easy it was. Talk to high priest and listen to all his ramblings, then go talk to the guy near the temple to the ne of the city, go down the trapdoor, then go down the next trapdoor, then go find the first any ladder, turn pro mage + steel skin on before you go down, RUN all the way to the southwest, go up the ladder, go the the ladder directly north, check the body, talk to girl, tele to al karid and talk to osman, meet him outside of the city, tell him about the passage, do the maze again, turn on pro melee and own the boss, pick up dagger, talk to high priest again.. DONE. Not the most detailed guide but you could probally do the quest with it - as long as you remember to bring armor + weapon, food, light source and tinderbox, and a tele, mabye pray + super pots, you're fine.

Laughter is the brain's response to humor. When we laugh, the brain pressures us to conduct both those activities simultaneously. When we laugh heartily, changes occur in many parts of the body, even the arm, leg and trunk muscles. ^ Googled :P Why do people play online games?

Anyone Ever see a Famous RS player? Post your pics!
Peronix replied to WolfhunterXZ's topic in General Discussion
OMG i was there! i had a pic but was deleted. World 99 right? Lol I've seen wakka like 15135 times  Anyway I've seen Lover Romeo and Uloveme, and I have the pics; Also seen Zezima but I don't have the pic anymore. Both in W99 Edge btw  -
To be perfectly frank: We're worth $5/mo to Jagex no matter what our level is. And since the bulk of Jagex's clientelle is mid-lower levels, that's what most of their updates are aimed at :(

Pretty much any item I see noobs wearing all the time. Snelms, low level cwars armor, mjolnirs, team capes, tyras helms... ect.

LOL I don't know about stress relief; some tasks in RS are pretty stressful; but then again I don't play RS for stress relief, I play it for fun
-
Nope, never have, probally never will :?

Yes you can fail a 99 skill. You can fail it by getting bored and just giving up. And BTW, if you macro a 99 skill, chances are you'll be banned (probally before you reach 99). And really, all's the fire cape shows is that you have a reliable enough computer and good reflexes. That two hours of combat really isn't challenging; the only hard part is Jad, who can either surrender the cape to you or force you to do another two hours of combat.

Why is rune miners pkers not that hated as RC pkers?
Peronix replied to Ghost-Knigth's topic in General Discussion
They can still snare, normal mages are the most deadly. Only jump them if you don't have a skull, I usually only jump them if they poisoned me and let me die in my house. Which then I come back with my rune and a whip they log out. So sad.. Well yeah of course modern's are more deadly than ancients. But really, the times they have attempted to kill me, I have gotten away easily. If they entangle first I just tele. If they teleblock first I just run to the mage. If they manage to teleblock+snare, I usually get away anyway. It's the tag teams of ancients + modern mages you have to watch out for  So what you're basically saying is that since we don't spend 100+ hours training a boring skill in favor of a faster, less-risk moneymaker we're immature? Yes, because of the rather large crowd of nat crafters (approx 100k of them) there are a lot of whiners, but usually those are idiots that can't handle it. That's why at 76 RC I'm ~rank 4500. And I don't whine about it, I rant about it. There's a difference. And really organizing a group to protect you isn't taking it too far at all. It shows that you have the maturity to deal with the problem instead of sitting around complaining about it. And BTW, the PKers that sign up for these groups like it; because of how easy the average abyss pker is to kill.
