Gotta love that crazy RS economy...
Normals were always more expensive, simply because they are a pain to collect because of one log per tree. Willows are really cheap because they are a very good way of training woodcutting, and thus there is a huge volume of them in the market. Construction had little to do with the price on normal logs. Only newbie constructors use them because of the need for nails; if anything, construction made oaks actually useful. I used oak larders to powertrain my con level to 72; and I'm pretty sure that's what n0valyfe used to get to 99. (I copied my method from his online blog). The method is genius really; anything cheaper is just too slow, and anything faster is just too expensive; thus why many people use it, and why oaks are in such high demand.

Animal Magnetism complete (reward)
The +4 Range bonus in itself makes getting the accumulator worth it. The Fire cape was previously the only cape that gave ranged attack bonus; +1; but now there's somthing that gives more. Sweet Jagex. But it would have been REALLY nice if it automatically picked up your arrows...

A Personal Strive (long read)
I don't think it's nescicarily what we are doing to train that we like, it's the thought of the end result, and the encouragement of others, that keeps us going. Although that of course does have a few exceptioins; some people are strangely attracted to certain things. Like farming, I hate it, but obviously Season likes it enough to get 45m+ xp in it. I mean, you really have to like a skill to take it that far. Of course it is important to take breaks to do somthing else when you are dealing with a goal that involves somthing you dispise. My VERY long term goal is 99 agility; I get about 100-150k xp in it every week. At that rate it will take me more than a year and a half or more, but at least I won't be bored to tears when I get it. If it's a goal you want sooner than that, then you should try to make it more interesting. For example, at the moment, I'm training RC via abyss. It is already pretty interesting, but on top of that, I'm raising a cat at the same time. <- And that pretty much works for any skill tht involes making constant bank trips, or alching/fletching. Just buy up a bunch of milk from RFD chest.

What do I need to go DKing?

A Little Secret You Probably Don't Know
I knew your post would be condescending and/or sarcastic before you started typing it  Yeah... why is all his posts so rude? I knew this from the day achievemet capes came out too, but just by poking around this thread there are obviously those that didn't :?

What do I need to go DKing?

1700 Total Party - OVER
What's the point in seeing it? :-k

Why people still trying to get slayer 85? :-\
For the same reason other people get theirs to 65 and camp at dusties; good xp + nice drops. Abbys are like dust devils x3. They actually have drops you know you will probally get one of per day if not more, instead of a drop you would be lucky to get from weeks of training there that isn't really worth it anyway.

Are You A Famous Tip.It'er?
I don't know.. am I? I get a HYT like once or twice every other day, (days that I'm on the homeworld anyway), but I don't think I can really be classed as 'famous'. I don't go to alot of events, though I'm pretty active on the forums. I used to be quite the nubcake it seems. I went over threads I had previously made a year or two back... and I'm... quite embarassed now by a few of them  (don't post any links to any of them or I WILL kill you :P)

1700 Total Party - OVER
I will be having a 1700 total party at my player owned house in about an hour. I know I should have posted this yesterday or somthing but it slipped my mind. Anyway, here are the details. When? 10 AM PST (6 PM GMT), Today (Monday Dec 11 2006) Where? My Player Owned House (rimmington), World 99 What? I will be leveling my prayer to 70 (1 xp away ftw) and that will bring me to 1700 total and 106 combat. I will be having a small drop party of stuff I dug out of my bank. Nothing real special, but I'm too poor to be that generous. The stuff inclues: Rune Full helm, Rune Plate, Rune Platelegs, Rune Scimitar, 100K Cash, Dragon Longsword, Black (g) Kite, a Crystal Key, and some other random stuff. I hope you don't just come for the drops, because there won't be much. My house also has a gilded alter, eagle lectern, a smallish dunegun, and a bunch of other random stuff. No games room; I demolished that to make room for my costume room :( (which is top of the line :P) EDIT: OVER now. Thanks a million to all who came, and to those who dropped a few things of their own. It was a nice time. I'll have another party when I get 99 fletching (about a few months away probally), and when I get 1800 total farther down the line. Hope to see some of you there  Here's the two pics I took. Congrats Pic: Drop Party Pic:

~Peronix's Skilling Blog~Recent 70 Craft~Goal 99 Fletch~
OK, I have made and sold 15K more nature runes, and used the money to buy a gilded alter and enough bones for 70 Prayer. I have used most of the bones; I am 69 Prayer ATM. I'm going to hold off getting it until monday, so I can get 70 Prayer on the 1700 total mark, and have a few people be there when I do. So monday about 11 AM PST, I'll be getting 70 prayer, 1700 total, and 106 combat at the SAME time.

Gilded Altar...
To be sure... you don't need two marble burners to get the 350% bonus for the gilded altar, do you? Just about to go buy 2 marbles and 4 leaves but if I need 4 marbles I'm not sure it's worth it.

Dag Kings
Yeah, I'd like to go DKing too, but I don't have guthans and a good defense level, and any friends I could go with... but I just don't see why someone would steal a spear. I mean, if you take it, they'll never go DKing with you again, and probally nobody ever would. But if you stay with them you can get tons of good drops which ammounts to millions more than a stupid spear :?

dragon scimmy or long
Neither. I use whip for attack and defense training, and whip for strength training at PC.

the most annoying things people do on runescape
I hate when I wear my quest cape and then some noob walks up to me and says "niiiice 99 prayer emote plzzz!!1"... I don't wear that one anymore. I now wear my cooking cape. But then I still get emote beggars. I wear my cooking cape abyss RCing, and I get the occasional noob following me into the wilderness asking me to do my emote. Yeah, right, like that's going to happen

Theory: New Tradable Rares wouldn't be worth it
Yes, also there's the fact that the first rares, phats, were only dropped on ONE day, and the community was much smaller then. Now the community consists of millions of people, and Jagex usually extends it to two weeks now. And your theory is pretty much correct. On another online game that I play periodically, they release 'rares' every year. The first ones ever released are worth hundreds of millions. But the newer rares haven't gone up at ALL in a few years, since a lot of people have them.

f2p treasure trails rewards
All blessed armors, green blue and red, have the same stats as black dragonhide. So your answer is no :P (the colors represent gods; green for guthix, blue for sara, and red for zammy).

~is it fair...for pkers to get flamed to pk rcers in abyss?~
If I was the PKer, i would definatly PK the noob if he was idiot enough to open the casket in the wilderness, and then PUT THE ROBIN ON. Lol. And BTW, killing a RCer with a valuable item on is way different from standard RC PKing. Killing a noob who decides to wear his phat rcing is called oportunistic RC PKing; any respectable PKer would do it. You're pretty sad if you would sit there for hours trying to get a measly 50k-100k pk, but if I see a RCer with 1m+ on, I'd jump at the opportunity to kill them.
-
To 80 RuneCrafting! WOOO!
Well that's an optomistic way of putting it, because statistically speaking, you're only 1/1721th of the way there, but good luck regardless. My current goal in RC is 75, and I still have a good 44 thousand pure essence to craft
-
~is it fair...for pkers to get flamed to pk rcers in abyss?~
It's actually very simple - if they have the right to PK us, we have every right to flame them for trying to PK us. We have no control over wheather such an action (RC PKing) is legal, but we DO have the control over wheather or not it is respectable, and it's not. So if they put themselves up for RC pking, they knowingly put themself up to be flamed, so it's their fault. So if you don't mind being flamed, go ahead, RC PK. If you do, then just stop. Just like there is nothing we can do to control you, you can't do anything to control the people that flame, because flaming is just as legal as RC PKing. (unless you start using some pretty offensive language; but most just call them 'noobs').

~Peronix's Skilling Blog~Recent 70 Craft~Goal 99 Fletch~
Wow, I'm just making a whole lot of mistakes aren't I? I'm not too sad about that, though, since these mistakes mean I save more money :P (more money than I thought I was, that is).

New TT items/armour - Oh snap
Actually, some people don't even know about the KB! And the KB doesn't tell you the stats/requirements for the armour/items. Could you tell me what the 3rd generation armour from the level 3 clue scrolls from the KB? If you can, tell me so I can update this guide. Yes I can. Not too many people know about this, but in the mage, range, and melee skill guides, they show the stats of their respective armors.
