New Players (NOOBS) Getting A Bad Rap? - Post here!!!
Well I personally don't use the word 'noob' unless the person I'm dealing with tries to scam me, or REALLY gets on my nerves. My problem with new players when they ask questions is when they ask questions when I'm obviously busy, and they get insistant about it. You really don't know the answer to the question, but mabye I really don't have the time to answer. I'll generally say somthing like 'I'm busy, can you ask someone else' (unless the question requires a simple answer, which it usually dosen't, it usually requires a 4-5 line explaination) and they usually get really upset about that, for some reason, when I'm trying to be as nice as I can about it. And I will answer questions when I'm not doing somthing that requires constant attention, like fletching-x or somthing similar. Not that hard to help when you're not constantly clikcing. But it is when you're stringing bows, or chompy hunting like during when I was working on getting my 5-feather yellow hat, and new players were out there 'exploring'.

which out of all 99 skill capes would you wear? with results
I don't know where the video went, but there was a vid of Mod Sarah wearing the cape and doing the emote. I am not too impressed with it; all it is is a kebbit shows up, and you drop a cage on it. Big whoop. If I had them all, I'd wear the RC cape. It looks awesome. Either that or the prayer one, that would be my second choice. Not because they're both hard skills; because their emotes look totally awesome.

Robert Rdam's 1700 Party. CHANGE OF DAY!
Gratz man, though I can't be there :( I'll be 1700 total soon too, don't remember, it's in the mid 1680s. And yes hunter was a big help there. Seems it was just a week and a half ago I got 1600. Oh wait, it was

Barrows with the new salamanders
Nice, that thing could potentially be useful. In very choice situations, barrows not being one of the more practical ones  And lmao at that nubcake praying melee on Karil :XD:

Thrilled about hunter rewards - Are you? - My thoughts.
Actually, salamanders is the easiest one of the bunch. You can kill a slayer monster found in lumbridge caves ( I think its cave slime) that drops 1-9 tar everytime. Let me check another thread real quick. EDIT: Yep, cave slime is the key. Easy to kill, just need 17 slayer level, a lantern, and antipoison. Getting 1-9 on every drop will add up very fast, and beats running around picking them up from spawns. I'm there :o

Thrilled about hunter rewards - Are you? - My thoughts.
Wow, didn't realize the weapons were so good. I'd dare to say that people might be using hunter crossbows in the caves instead of the karil one, as from what I've seen, the hunter one is MUCH faster (although I will still use my crystal bows for future attempts). And I think the bolts for the hunter bow are just about as hard as the karil bolt racks, especially if you get the tracking thing down to a science. As for the black salamander, i like the damage, I did like 23+, but the fact is that it most likely won't have much practical application because of how hard swamp tar is to collect. Harralanders are no problem, I have pleanty of them, but I doubt anyone could stand to run around the swamp and collect 300+ units of swamp tar (which = only 20 harras worth of ammo). Same story for chinchompas. They MAY be a good multi-target weapon, but they are difficult to collect, and monsters and players don't often clump together so that many are effected. It might be good for a P2P war in the wilderness in multicombat, but then again it would be much more effective just to use multi-target ice spells. Now if these can hit unlimited targets in its radius we might have a bit of a problem, tons of players + chinchompas = a helluva lot of quick ranged xp  (which is the same idea people keep having about ice spells when they only hit 9 targets  ).

anyone noticed this?
Yes that has happened more than a few times to me. Some NPC follows me, I use fairy rings, and they get 'teleothered' to Zaranis :) (happens most often with jackals apparantly).

99 Cooking Party - OVER
EDIT: Ok it's over now, thanks to those who came. Turnout wasn't great, but was expected to how well I planned it  Here's the pics: Ok I know this is kind of sudden, but I'm no good at planning events  ... and I'm too impatient to hold off getting it till some other time :P So I'm having it two hours from now, at 9:00 PST (5 AM GMT), at the cooks guild in world 99. Since it's impromptu I haven't planned anything like a drop party; if you wish to do somthing like that at my party I'd appreciate it but it really dosen't matter; so It's more of a simple celebration. I'd hate to get a level 99 without tons of spam, though :) I'll also let people into my house for a little after-party if anyone fancies that sort of thing. I have a simple dungeun downstairs and a few utilities. 72 Construction, BTW. No marble altar, sorry. So if you have nothing else to do, come on by and watch a passive skiller get his first 99

the reel cents of the word trust...
Yeah, but that was your friend. The person he spoke of was someone he had never met in his life  I might have been tempted to keep it just to teach him a lesson about putting your trust in complete strangers, not that I actually would need the 500k.

Best/Worst Slayer Assignments
Worst was like 150+ iron dragons. I burthoped it of course. My best was like around 180 dagganoths.

hunter stops
For lobs it's 68 with gaunts, and 94 for sharks with gaunts. Lobs without gaunts is 74 cook to never burn. And of course sharks don't have a no-burn level without gaunts, unless of course you use a chefs delight to go over the max. And... I don't think hunting level actually effects the chances of an animal getting caught in your trap. Must just be a cooincidence.

Hunter box is a little off...
Yes, because the entire development team worked on putting the hunter skill into the skill page  As someone has already mentioned, there have been no major bugs with hunter. As far as i'm concerned, i'd far rather see one or two very minor cosmetic bugs, like this one, than have to wait a week or so longer while people wasted our time searching over every inch of he game to iron out things that have no practical effect on gameplay. Jagex have released a skill that many people love to train and are having fun with, yet you have to come up with a ridiculously minor cosmetic issue to moan about. How pathetic. Excuse me, I came up with this issue? As I said, I noticed it, but I'm not the one who made the thread here. I'm just another person adding my two cents to an exising discussion :anxious: Be that as it may some people are enjoying it, this skill has very little practical application. It adds absolutly nothing to any other skill, except the relativly tiny application in agility (and no the gloves don't help traing theiving at all since there is already a WAY faster way of training than pickpocketing). The skill may be fun for a time, but it lacks motivation for training it. So excuse me if I'm not that enthusiastic about the skill in general.

Runescape Advertise Membership on Tv?
Oh god no! As if the maturity level isn't already low enough. I might be forced to quit if they made a commerical and a bunch of spongebob squarepants fanatics started playing. I get enough "per do ur cape emote!!!!! now!!!!1!!", "can i hav fre stuf", "pronix lvl????", thank you very much.

Hunting capes - info
Actually I think the spotty cape reduces 2.5kg, just dosen't show the .5. GJ getting the stats and weights, I wanted to know that.

Hunter box is a little off...
... Lol just goes to show how rushed this skill was. Didn't even get the box in the right place  It might not seem like that big of a deal, but when you're dealing with an entire development team putting somthing together, and every single one of them missing that when I even kind of noticed somthing was off when I looked at it; it just dosen't reflect well on them.

How Far Are U Going With Hunter?
Once the hype dies down, 66 for that cape. Then I'm never touching it again.

Is it possible to lose money at barrows?
Depends. If you have to use a ton of prayer pots, yes. If not, and you use a lot of runes that the chest dosen't replenish, yes. If you use very little ppot and use slayer dart - or some other method that has little cost, like guthaning - no, you'll problaly gain a little from the runes and drops. But keep in mind, even though you make money, it isn't nearly the best moneymaker anymore. Not by a longshot.
