Why is rune miners pkers not that hated as RC pkers?
Simply, because what RC PKers do is infinatly more pathetic. They sit there in the 'kiddie pool' of the wilderness, hoping to rake in a measly proft. Wheras people in deep wilderness are obviously more courageous; and also, unlike RC PKing, the miner dosen't get away nearly as much as the RCer, since you can't tele out of 40+ wild. Besides, killing a rune miner is almost a guaranteed 150k+ profit.

Success or Failure capes?
Well yeah TBH fire cape is more impressive than cooking cape. But I'm not saying cooking cape should have better stats, I'm saying that the combat capes should have good bonuses in the skill they are related to. Combat related capes are like 5x more impressive than a fire cape IMO; so like I said, attack capes deserves melee attack bonus, strength cape deserves strength bonus ect.... and cooking cape deserves somthing that will benefit the cooking skill; the one extra level is pretty useless when with gaunts you can already no-burn sharks. And even more useless in a skill like fletching...

fighter torso: further degrading player killing
Ummm... I realy doubt this will affect player killing in any way. For starters the way this is set up, it would take two days or more to replace, one long day tops with a really good team. All of the other strength bonus melee items can be gotten back with little effort or can be bought, but this takes an outstanding ammount of effort to replace. Though since untradable it is possible that you could run back and pick it up... but really, a +4 strength bonus is quite a small gain for the sacrifice of the armor's defensive stats. All around, it is like an adamant plate. (except in one stat where it is similar to a rune platebody). So even if you were able to hit slightly harder, your opponent would be hitting more often.

Hardest to lvl up?
Runecrafting. 27 airs = 134 xp per trip, but in the time it takes you to run back and forth to the bank you could have easily buried an inventory or two of big bones; I'd assume even if you had runners for the airs. Although prayer would easily be the most expensive.

Penance Gloves - New Lowest Weight
The boots weigh .5 kg. When you have them in your inventory like that it subtracts .5kg from your total weight, thus it shows as -4kg. I personally have a spotty cape, and with them in my inventory it shows -1kg, and when I dropped them it went to -2. And when I put them on it was -6. And no, they don't weight 1kg, because when you have the boots in your inventory and nothing else it shows 0kg. So it must be .5.

Is rc pking all that bad? how to escape rc pkers?
Yes, it is pretty low. If your argument is they do it for the money: why? Why would they sit there for hours in hopes of a single kill of around 100k when the very people they are attempting to kill make enough profit for that ammount of money in like 20 minutes maximum? And if they don't like skilling; they could easily make more money fighting REAL PKers; they're the ones carrying expensive items. If your argument is they do it for fun: Again, why? Why would it be fun to sit there trying to kill a defenseless target? I mean, isn't it a lot more fun to actually challenge yourself in a REAL fight, rather than using your skills to do somthing that takes no skill at all? That's my 2c And BTW, I don't hate them, I pity them. Kind of hard to hate someone like that when you always get away \ (seriously... out of 180k+ nats crafted... only 1 death... and that was in the first 5k...) And in the end, it's pointless really to get angry at them, because there will always be people low enough to do it; as my sig shows, it's just a fact of abyss RCing.

Purchasable skills
There are already 'buyable' skills. You spend tons of money to purchase the fastest training methods. But it still takes time. If you remove the time factor, every merchant with a party hat set in the game would be a zezima tommorow. You don't deserve prestige in skills because you had a sudden windfall of wealth, skills are about effort, no matter how much money you pour into them.

Old attractor vs New attractor
So it should work with rune arrows. So yeah, this could be a nice way of spending less money in fight caves; rune arrows tend to break a lot less than lower ones, too. Though, crystal bow still has a ton more ranged attack bonus; I think that's more why people use it.
-
Old attractor vs New attractor
I think it's awesome. I don't normally range things that are behind cages anyway; I do black demons, blue dragons, and things like that... and the 'safespots' you use on those involve the 2x2 monster getting stuck trying to fit through a 1x1 walk space... which means that the accumulator works in these instances because it dosen't block your path.

Success or Failure capes?
Yeah, I have always wondered why Jagex decided to make the capes, nothing more than a way to look 'cool'. The 'bonus' does nothing TBH. The fire cape is just a symbol that you had enough money, a reliable enough computer, and good enough reflexes to accomplish somthing; that took only a few hours. I don't know why Jagex decided to make the combat 99 capes have no respective bonuses in defense of a stupid minigame reward. I mean, the animation on the fire cape is good enough. Why can't we have melee attack bonuses on the 99 attack cape? Why can't the defense cape give the best defense of any cape in the game? Why dosen't the strength cape give any strength bonus? Why dosen't the range cape give a range bonus? For godsake, why isn't the magic cape at least as good as the stinkin' god capes; and why can't it be BETTER, when it takes like 60 times the effort to get? All of those above things certainly take MUCH longer to accomplish than the cape pieces that beat them in those stats; so why can't the achievement capes be worth wearing for their stats? And the little bonus just dosen't cut it... it dosen't stack with superpots, which people use most of the time anyway, so there is no point to it.

Getting all skills 70+... need a lil' advice
Unless she smelted the iron, there is no way she made a profit from making iron knives. Iron bars are like 220-240 ea, and knives sell for max 40 ea on forums; and each bar only makes 5, so that's 200. And in that case, I'd have 9650 iron to smelt AND smith. I'd rather spend 2m so it's 3x faster :-w - TBH I could probally make the money back in the time I save.

absolute fastest range xp?
Pest control TBH, but it's way boring and gets no drops or HP xp. I'd suggest dust devils if you have the lvl, if not fire giants, greaters, blues, or caged ogres.

Getting all skills 70+... need a lil' advice
Well I noticed somthing, similar to how I noticed somthing a while ago... Just about all my skills are 70+ now; like how before i noticed that just about every one of my skills were 60+. Well now all my skills are 60+, and I'm already itching to get them all 70+ Well needless to say it will be quite costly, just like how getting those... certain skills to 60 were. Anyway, here are plans I have formulated for these skills. I need to know wheather or not these are the right things to do. Smithing 63/70: 6439 Gold bars with guants. According to my calculations (that is if I actually manage to sell the bars...) it will cost me around 2 million. Any simi-fast ways of training this skill without all the defacite and the doubt that I'll sell the finished product? Mining 66/70: Planning to mine 6543 iron ores; could anyone suggest a better method? And does that mining helmet thing actually help? Herbore 60/70: I've worked it out so that I have an even number of supper attack (4) and super strength (4) when I end. I need to make 2440 super strength and 1470 super attack; I already have 800 super attacks (4). Any other potions worth making along the way? Slayer 67/70: Actually... TBH I don't need much advice on this one. I have guthans, black mask, and have been training it steadily. Farming 60/70: Plan is 28 papya trees and 84 maple trees (at a 3 maple to 1 papaya ratio, since fruit trees take 15 hours and maples take 5...). I will have no trouble getting the payments for these trees. I figured that yews wouldn't be worth it since they are approx 95k for the seed and the cacti thorns; way over twice as expensive as maple but bearly twice as much xp. If you can suggest a better method, I'm all ears. Hunter 64/70(prolly 71): Red chinchompas. Anything better than that?

Arrggggghhhh!
Anyone selling for way below the market price like that is almost certainly a scammer. I got that the other day; someone selling for 8.7, I tried him out knowing what he probally was, and sure enough spear pointing to the right. Then I finally just said 'buying full guthans 9.5' and got a legit trade.

Arrggggghhhh!
I remember trying to get a bronze spear from tribesman for a quest quite a while ago, then it said 'you have been poisoned!'... then I died from the 13ish poison because I forgot to bring a teleport >_< <-- Long time ago but I was really mad at loosing some rune, forgot which pieces it was. Heh i'm in the same boat with super attack (4)s... I have about 800 but nobody will buy any :x

should 99 cooking/fletching deserve respect?
To be honest; yes those capes are fairly common, but you really don't see to many 'noobs', by definition, wearing them. (yes you see the occasional level 3 skiller). No matter the 99 skill, it takes a LOT of hard work and dedication; does it relly matter that cooking and fletching takes a lot less dedication than a skill like slayer? That just means slayer is a more respected 99 skill, not that slayer is respected and cooking and fletching are not.

4th January- Barbarian Assualt
OOOPS looks like I neglected the str bonus on the warrior plate. That is FTW :D But all the helms, gloves, the boots, and ranger skirt, all rubbish :-w

4th January- Barbarian Assualt
Great... looks like all of the barbarian assault items are all worse versions of stuff we already have  (AGAIN!) Only thing remotely worth it is granite plate, or the chance at the d chain.

Things from other games that would and wouldn't work in RS?
A single boss monster NPC with multiple attackable targets (like a hydra with multiple heads that you need to kill).

All I can say is I hope their client is somewhat as good as SS, or it will solve nothing.

All discussion here: Jan 2, 2006 - Rule 7 and Rule 9 Updated
TBH I wish Jagex would stop reforming rules and doing these useless mass bans and actually do somthing so that these things wouldn't need to happen. Mabye design a decently good client so people don't need to use SS? All the official client is is a browser that only connects to runescape.com. How about make some useful ingame tools? But no, all they feel they need to make a rule against these third party clients, and make no efforts to do somthing to where they are no longer nescicary. Yes it would take just a little effort to compensate for the loss of SS utilities, but I really wish Jagex would move toward a more user-friendly client that wasn't exactly like IE or Firefox. I tried SS and I found it very helpful. Screenshot utility, stat lookup, chat, tools... made it all easier. I uninstalled it and I didn't continue using it for fear of malware, but I DEFINATLY would use it if it or somthing similar was an official RS program. So please Jagex, don't just take away that amazing tool without replacing it with somthing similar that's 100% safe.

Updates to come for 2007?
I'd like to see the continuation of the Plague City quest tbh. Kind of mean that Jagex put a huge closed off city in the elven lands just sitting there... taunting us... I want inside so I can buy the d plates, fullhelms, and crystal hallys plx. :P

Funniest Thing to Leave a Lurer?
Either 1k coins, red fez, or security stronghold book. Or all three

How many rune defenders do you have?
I have 3; a couple extra in case I die. Then I have like 6k tokens in my bank incase I need more... lol at one point I decided to start collecting them (tokens) and then I just got bored :-w
