  1. I agree with swampjedi, whatever it might be, it needs to be STRICTLY non-tradeable, and nothing that would effect your status ingame (like exp). If they sold gp for RL money it would only cause gps to hyperinflate, and if they sold xp, I guarantee you that some rich kid would get their daddy to buy them onto the top 21 overall.
  2. Better question, when have you ever not used a quest guide? I used guides for every single quest as soon as one was available. I try to do them myself when they first come out, but I usually end up throwing in the towel and pulling up a guide, so I can get back to skilling.
  3. I personally think that would be awesome. Great offensive prayers, and in exchange you can't protect item (assuming these prayers work similar to modern/ancients/lunar magic). However, for that kind of power, there should be some larger downside than simply not being able to protect item; and I think it should be something like having a skull 24/7 when you're on shadows. And to those prayers called "Flare" and "Ultima"... they should probably have more original names.
  4. http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... le_id=2691 look at the 4th and 5th spells. Those would be nice if they actually healed. Those are just a drain in reverse. You'd think that Jagex would make them actually give you or the other player HP since the spell costs that many runes... but of course, when someone has a great idea, Jagex has to water it down to make it useless.
  5. Alot of people saying One Small Favor... that's not nearly the most annoying. MEPII hands down.
  6. I'll have to go with edge bank as well.
  7. It's RuneCrafting, duh :| ... ~500k an hour for me (75+ rc) and at 92 it's ~1m+, easily. Mining is like 1m+ a day for 85+. Smithing... yeah it was one of the best in RSC; now... not even close. As for slayer; now that whips are down to like 1.5m each, I'm not even sure it's the second best moneymaker anymore, let alone the first. Woodcutting would probably be the best for most F2Pers.

Well right now I have a santa, most I've had at one time. I'm going to sell it soon, though.
  9. Just goes to show how much you know about economics. I'm not saying I'm a real expert either, but this is just common sense. A radical movement like that would more likely destroy the economy, than fix it; that's not to mention the other serious implications, like pissing off a bunch of slayers. Without all of the extra money coming into the economy, prices on rares would more than likely take a dive. There's a bunch of angry rare investors; gosh that would be like the Great Depression of RuneScape.
  10. I've had someone say to me "This is my dad's account, I got 99 range for him". Since he was being a dink before, like 20 people reported him. However, I checked on his name a few weeks later, and he wasn't banned. So I agree with some of the previous statements; They make it a rule so you have no excuse to complain if your "friend" betrays you. But then they apparently don't really bother to enforce it all that well, which serves to confirm that it's a rule to shut up those types of complainers, and little more.
  11. 1. Costume room. Allows you to have useless yet stylish outfits without sacrificing valuable space. 2. Glory and other teleports, especially the Canfis one (barrows) 3. Gilded altar. WAY better prayer training than ecto. Though it costs more gp, the huge amount of time you save obviously makes it better, because as the old saying goes, time is money. 4. Eagle lectern. One click, stackable teleports = very useful. Also, without them, using the Canfis portal for barrows wouldn't be as practical. 5. The house portals themselves. (although new teleports have made these shortcuts somewhat obsolete)
  12. Neither, I'll stick with a whip. I'm not 99 str yet, (plan to plow ahead for that sometime), but I'm still not going to train str with the scim; I'm just going to PC it, like I did attack. Doing things the "hard" way doesn't count for anything but bragging rights, which is practically useless because I don't have anything extra to show for it.
  13. Another one of these threads eh? :-s I'll have to say sawdust.
  14. Tough one. I've gone through lots of computers in the last 5-6 years. I'll say around 4 of my own, and like 8 different other computers at my home (parents kept having to send computers in for repair and getting rentals, and I'm going to count those). Then, maybe 20 different school computers.
  15. Yes, I used to get hit by chickens all the time back in RSC, through full rune and like 50 defense -.- But I can't seem to remember ever getting hit by one since RS2.
  16. Slayer, obviously, because it doesn't even exist... (yet) I went down the whole list of 99 slayers, and almost every single one of them had maxxed melees and/or 2100+ total. One thing's for sure, none of them had slayer as a sole 99 - and every single one of them had 99 attack :P And just so we're clear on how trimming works - I was wearing my cooking cape when I got 99 attack, and it was immediatly trimmed, right before my eyes. And then I wasn't given a choice wheather or not I wanted a trimmed cape when I went to get the attack cape. BTW, I have seen someone with an untrimmed 99 HP cape. You can do that with little effort really, just PC it. Also seen 99 agility untrimmed on a level 45 (while PCing ) named "the quickness*two diget number here*". Then of course for RC you have Larryr... but I've seen others besides him ingame.
  17. 99 cooking for my 78 rcing. After I make mills with rcing I'd easily get my cooking level back. If you meant two swaps, then I'd swap my 99 fletching for my 70 agility. I'd still be able to make yew longs so it wouldn't be hard to make the level back. But then I'd have the two most useful (in my opinion) levels in the game.
  18. whahaha ^^ Anyways I'm f2p so :( But I'm looking forward to hearing what the rewards are, and some of the hard achievements are really easy "craft a nature rune" -.- yeah but theirs ones such as kill a ket-zek.whos gonna go get that far into the fight caves without going for a fire cape. Me. I got through like 7 360s on my "Practice" Run in which I took a magic bow and steel arrows, and like 3 prayer pots. And BTW, there are like 32 360s in the caves... But yes, I do have a fire cape, that took me 4 actual "attempts". Speaking of capes, I wonder if they'll release an achievement cape for completing the achievement diary after they've added a fair few new areas with achievements to complete?
  19. If you die you will still loose your pouches. Not being skulled means you keep your three best items, not everything. In case you get into a pinch with a RC Pker, drop your pouches. Then glory tele to edge and pick your stuff back up. Bring telegrabs/teles/mage protection as some of the PKers just LOVE to waste more runes killing you again when you come back for your non-tradables...
  20. Well, to be fair, you have to factor in the dhide that a lot of people use. But even then, that's just 100k, so after 4k nats made with those bracelets you loose the same amount you would if you got pkd. And I've been pkd umm... twice? And I'm almost 78 runecrafting  If the glory is really that important to you, carry a one dose prayer pot and drink in case you get into a pinch. It will cost a lot less in the long run.
  21. I sure hope Jagex doesn't blame tip.it for the occasional RW item trading ad that comes across the banner from google... I recall 6 months ago seeing one of those ads on runescape.com :shame: . I have a pic to prove it if you don't believe me.
  22. Attack: 75 - That's assuming we're talking about fist fighting. If it's sword fighting, change it to like... a 20. Strength: 30 - I'm the kind of person that has never went to the gym, and spends a lot of time watching television or on the computer. No, I'm not fat. I have a high metabolism... or something like that. Defence: 10 - I can't defend myself all that well. I get backed into corners a little too easily if my opponent is really aggressive. Range: 1 - Never picked up a bow in my life. Prayer: 80 - I've been dragged to church every week of my life since I was born. Seriously. Magic: 10 - I know a few magic tricks. Construction: 75 - My father is in construction, and I've gone to work with him every summer for a few years. I'm also studying to become an architect. So, I know a thing or two about construction. Health: 50 - I deal with pain fairly well, but not under extreme circumstances. Like breaking my hand... I was down for the count... Agility: 60 - I'm pretty fast. Herblore: 1 - Don't know the first thing about medicine. Theiving: 1 - I have a strong sense of justice, and I would never take something that didn't belong to me if my life didn't depend on it. Crafting: 50 - I have gotten fairly creative with things from time to time. Fletching: 1 - Never carved anything in my life. Hunting: 1 - Never hunted before. Mining: 1 -- Never mined before. Smithing: 1 --Never smithed before. Fishing: 30 - I've only gone fishing a few times. Cooking: 80 - I cook my own food almost every day, and occasionally I make dinner for my family. firemaking: 70 - I'm the one who builds wood fires for my family during the winter. About every other day. Woodcutting: 50 - I sometimes have to chop the wood Farming: 4 - Only a tiny bit of experience with gardening.
  23. I think the problem here is because things like vambraces also go in the 'hand' slot, and well, you wouldn't be able to wear vambraces and a bracelet because they both go on the wrists. Rangers who can't use the RfD gloves may kick off... Yeah good point. And the dragon bracelet may help no-def pures quite a bit. And it looks like if that happens... killing a pure will be slightly more profitable  ... though I don't PK.
  24. Not that this concerns me that much since I'm currently taking a break from RS... (likely to be back during summer) ... but this is a significant enough update to comment on. Sapphire bracelet: This actually could come in handy. I needed teletabs every now and then, and this could provide a nice use (besides games necklaces... which I have 100+ of...) for all those sapphires stacked in my bank. Emerald bracelet: Well... I do play castlewars occasionally, and I DO have enough emeralds... meh I might make a few of these for getting that extra edge against those annoying flag guarders. Ruby bracelet: I can't honestly see myself ever using these. Show of hands, how many people actually regularly do something that carries the risk of catching a disease in RS? Not many, for sure. Though, it is useful for completing the Zogre quest. Ruby Necklace... wait, what the hell happened here? They made diamond, dragonstone, even onyx necklaces do something, but not ruby? I sure hope Jagex fills this hole soon. Diamond bracelet: Great idea, but a little conservative on the charges. With that few, only a complete coward would resort to using these. Diamonds aren't THAT cheap. Diamond Necklace: And who exactly would wear this in place of a stat increasing amulet? Dragon Bracelet: Only useful for its teleports. The slayer effect isn't really that great. The task is over when it's over, I don't need an update on my progress desperatly enough to sacrifice the awesome stats of barrows gloves. Dragon Necklace: A few cool teleports here... the effect isn't that good though. Big net fishing isn't one of my favorite ways to waste time. (I waste time with minigames :)). Onyx bracelet: The effect is nice, but it's not worth 5 mil. Onyx necklace: To be blunt here, the effect is crap. Would have been nice if it at least had a better strength bonus than the strength ammy, but of it doesn't even have that. It reduces your attack, and reduces your defense by a LOT... to increase the strength of obby stuff. Which hardly anybody uses... and the people that do probally can't afford this necklace. Also kind of dissapointed that the bracelet didn't have its own slot like the ring. It makes little sense that you can't wear gloves while wearing a bracelet. But don't get me wrong, I like a lot of things in this update. There are just some things that would need modification to make them useful. Okay, to be honest, a lot of things. But we surely have a lot more than we did before the update.
  25. Since most team-based wilderness action happens in F2P, yes, the team capes would be a hell of a lot more beneficial. Most P2Pers either solo PK or they PK with a small groups of friends. There are few clans that actually P2P pk that often. But in F2P, there are tons of groups of 30-100 people roving about looking for a fight. Speaking from experience; I find it kind of hard in run-ins to rifle through a group of people to find a person whom my team leaders have called out. It would be nice if I could just click near where all the shouting is going on without having to worry about attacking one of my own teammates. And, in a lot of instances, teams will run into each other that have the same capes on. This certainly adds to the confusion. Having 50 capes of different colors and designs would certainly help
