What if they had upgrades to the spell like they do with the wands? That would fix this problem... I think. Like there would be 3 levels of the spell: bones to peaches, big bones to peaches and all bones to peaches. Yeah... that would be sweet I guess.

Eh... I don't know about that. There are so many stupid teaming pures on f2p now. You can't go out there alone and make it out alive... UNLESS you're like 80-90+ combat.
