i have the game, i am enjoying it aswell. There are a few problems with overpowerment example, the rebel artillery obliterates anything in its range strorm troopers, at-ats, even the imperials own artillery dont stand a chance. there isnt any resource collecting, you get money after each 'galactic day' depending on what planets your have and if you have any mines. A lot has been taken out of the game thats been found in various XML files and there are several mods being made that will make use of the content thats been removed. the space battle are where the game really is awsome. star destroyers, Death stars, Corvettes, x-wings, tie fighters, the Millenium Falcon and loads of other ships but no super star destroyer :( . And you can use the death star ingame (moves VERY slowly on the galactic map) if the rebels dont have red squadren to counter it then the planet and all your troops and buildings on it are as good as dead. The red squadren and death star become a game of cat and mouse towards the end of the game. i had a battle yesterday that lasted an hour as both teams had so many capital ships. And there is an awsome cinematic camare that zooms into the action and gives you awsome camera angles the land battles arnt really like any other RTS (with the exception of rome: total war) you have to move troops and tanks to a planet where you have space control, you can then land troops down and attack the enemy base. you can only use the troops you bring down in a battle, you cant build anymore, so you have to fight tacticly. As the defensive team you get a base that you have built previously (so if you didnt build a barracks or vehicle factory the only troops you can get are the ones that are stationary at your base. overall i would say that the game is good, not up there with AOE but its is still worth buying.
