  1. I think if a skill dosn't have any real content after level 80-90 it shouldn't get released.
  2. Hell Jumper2 Im lost without you, Our world is failing, Please say something.

  4. Wow Tarromin are looking like a really good investment, they have been going straight up for over a week now..... Also can you please update the new prices?
  5. Before i can talk about rares i have to explain what is happening to alot of the higher priced ones: All Party Hats have been Static for at least a week now, there are reasons behind this: >>>> When Jan 2nd update came into affect Jagex updated the GE prices to what they thought were correct levels. >>>> Jagex over estimated these prices quite alot - in some cases by as much as 20-30mil gp. >>>> Unfortunatly with the new GE levels people saw Party Hats as being overpriced so demand for them reduced to 0%. >>>> The GE system is flawed in the fact is does not allow for demand at 0% - If on a certain day, there are no sales on the GE for a particular item, the GE price levels will remain the same. >>>> This creates a catch 22 senerio where Party Hats are over priced but cant come down because there are no sales on the GE - There are no sales on the GE because Party Hats are over priced. ANSWER to Problem: Modify GE system by adding a rule where: If on a certain day there are no sales for a particular item, the following day the prices will automatically fall by the maximum 5% - This could even be increased to a special 10% reduction. Any thoughts about this?
  6. Ouch, my eyes are still burning!
  7. The G.E will now be where 90% of trades will take place, yes i do beleive we are going to hit a period of unstability with prices. Will the prices deflate or inflate? well this very much depends on the item and its uses. Yew longs are on the Jagex list of things to be sorted, so i would expect to see the price floor on that item lowered sometime soon. Anyhow why dont we all just high alch Ruby Bracelets? Anything to do with summoning will sore in price, Rares i beleive are in for a beating unfortunately.
  8. I had a small exploration to see if i could get into the new area, it would seem it requires a grapple to get across the water to the new area. Also i saw out of the corner of my eye a strange figure, its a person that looks like he is an explorer, he had light blue clothes on and a explorer hat, he was also wearing a backpack. His name is Longramble and his Examine reads: He'll go anywhere as long as it's forward.
  9. Shop signs???? What do you mean by that? Each animal will have its own shop???
  10. looks pretty cool, i am all for better graphics......even be it just on out skill tabs
  11. I feel the same about runescape as the way you do, many years ago.....back in classic days i was an avid player, any free time i had i poured into runescape, rs2 was announced and my addiction grew. i played throughout the years and all summer, mostly focussed on making loads of gp merchanting. soon it was september and i had finish my 6th form, time to find a job. so i found a job and poured all my free time into that, working long and hard, just playing runescape occassionally when a good update was released. now we are in august, nearly one year on and i feel hardley drawn to play such a basic game, but that said i have poured countless hours, time and effort into my character and i could never just not play at all. If i play a game now it usually is halo2 on xbl, soon it will be halo3 and that will have my free time.
  12. I am amazed to see how many people have posted a response without actually thinking this one through..... There are a few things that will directly affect the starting and long term prices of the Dark Bow: 1) Firstly, what are the stats on this thing going to be like? nobody knows, they can only hypothesize - I would like to think they would be around +90 range bonus. 2) Whats the drop rate going to be? Perhaps something like the time it takes to get a whip maybe? This drectly affects how how many bows will appear on the market on the first day and subsiquently enter the market in the long term. 3) How many people have the right slayer level to kill the dark beasts? How many still play? How long do they play each day? This point ties in with point (2) 4) What alternatives are there to the Dark bow? How do they compare in price and power? This is a tricky one to evaluate as we dont know much about the Dark Bow at this time. 5) Whats the demand for this item going to be like and how much are people willing to pay? Yes its true people have more money now - but what value do they put on a high end range bow? lvl 60 range to use suggest quite a high demand for this item. So there are many points to evaluate before putting a price tag on the Dark Bow.....some people on this thread have just picked out a number in the sky others have thought about it a bit more . Also i think we should stop comparing the Dark Bow to the Whip as although it is a slayer drop it has very different markets and is being released into the game in a completely different way. The first whips were only obtainable by a few people, this time we are looking at maybe 3000+ people.
  13. I like to see people using their brains to come up with some interesting ideas, unfortunately upon creating this one i think you didn't think about a number of other factors. The only clear thing i can see happening nothing much at all, blood rune prices may fall say 50gp or so. High lvl runecrafters are limited to crafting what their runners desire, and runners desire x2 natures. Nats: (300gp x2) = 600gp per essence Bloods: 500-550gp per essence But as with everything, only time will tell
  14. when granite muals were 750k each......hmmmm, that most have been when they first came out - after returning to find your granite mual is worth 75k , i dont think you should be very suprised. invest only in rares - hold on to them long enough and you cant go wrong.
  15. I think that 95% of runescapers find new skills fun......well until the novalty wears off after 4 weeks or so. I personally believe that recent skills like hunter and construction have been under-developed and 'rush released'. The hunter skill lacked useful products that we can make, with the skill stopping at lvl 71...... Conclution: Every has different ideas of fun, so someone will always be happy with something and others will always disagre.
  16. I dont know if some people are misunderstanding my thread or are just plain not reading it before posting. i am suggesting that jagex is overdoing it on the updates...... quality over quantity
  17. Has Jagex lost touch with its gaming cummunity or have i come to expect different things from jagex as i have matured over the years? My thread is asking is jagex just releasing content for the sake of it with no actual deep thought about how it will benifit the game?. Are they doing this because people have come to expect weekly content updates?
  18. Is Jagex Over Cooking Runescape? I have been playing Runescape for a number of years nowÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ. in fact since the time of classic, the general feeling back then was that the community welcomed more frequent and regular updates to the game. Updates were usually weeks apart and of solid content, by this I mean that Jagex generally put a lot of thought and effort in producing something that would enhance game-play and make the game a more enjoyable place to be. Over the last year, particularly the last several months I have drawn tired of the consistent pattern the game updates have been taking, Jagex seem to think they have to update the game every week with something new. This is coming at a huge price to the game, Jagex seem to be happy to add game content that has no meaning or reference that 95% of gamers could really do without. The game is starting to fill up with pointless quests and a huge number of useless items that should never have been released. Hunting - A skill that should never have been released: This skill brings nothing to the game and was abandoned as soon as the novelty wore off, leaving us with a bank full of useless items. Really Jagex what was the thinking behind this one? This skill was rushed and should have never made it into development. Barbarian Assault ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ A minigame that also should never have been released: This minigame was flawed right from the beginning; the rewards did not reflect the time and effort it took to obtain them and players grew tired of the repetitive tasks as soon as the novelty effect wore off ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ leaving Barbarian Assault deserted. Players look for ways in the game to show off their skills and display their power as a player, in this minigame they couldnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t do either. This minigame was pointless and is another example of Jagex releasing under developed content. Quests ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Jagex seems committed to releasing new content that is unappealing to a large proportion of the community. The quests of recent have been at best palpable. Runescape is being overcrowded with too many quests that add nothing to game play and are a bore to complete, filling our bank up with yet more useless and unwanted items. Rewards seem to make or break a quest; a quest should always be drawn around a useful reward. Instead we see an under developed quest rushed out and released with a half hearted reward such as a lunch box. These recent quests seem to be poorly thought out and released just for the sake of it. JagexÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s lack of understanding of the community: This is a big one, it seems that Jagex is misunderstanding its customer base. People play the game for many different reasons and people keep playing the game for many different other reasons. People will continue to keep playing the game as long as they have something to aspire to, a goal they can aim for, it might be a new set of armour or weapon or it might be a new skill based ability. Jagex have been aiming all there recent updates at low to mid level players (lets say around lvl 20 ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 80) these updates are appealing in the short term to these kind of players but once the novelty wears off the new update 95% of players abandon the update in question. What appeals more to these low to mid level players is high lvl updates like for instance barrows armour that they can aspire for and work hard to achieve ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ this is the true secret to keeping a loyal following in a game. This kind of update keeps high lvl loyal players happy as well. This thread focuses on the recent update pattern and the type of updates coming out of the development room, I have plenty more to say about this subject but this thread will have to do for now. Is it me or am i the only player that is thinking this way or are there other players who think this aswell?
  19. I dont like the idea of putting people into catorgories, people skill for many different reasons. Everyone is an individual and will play the game in an individual way, enough said.
  20. Party hat prices are stagnating, this is because the p hats can only sustain a price rise as long as there is new money and buyers coming in from the bottom, from the lower price rares. At the moment there is a 100mil gap between a red mask and a purple p hat, this gap is too big and people arn't making new money once they reach a red mask. This has caused p hat prices to stall and more recently a price drop has occured. This price drop has created a feel of pecimism around rare owners, which will inturn intail a price drop - sort of a self fulfilling prophecy. What will likely happen is prices will drop until they reach a comfortable level, then we will see the prices rise but with masks rising quicker closing the gap between them and p hats. this statement is all based on guess work and not based on actual fact
  21. We must remeber that all the BA armour rewards (penace armours) are non tradable so if u loose any its back to BA for another 12 hours =P so thses armours are just good for pc or cw really, if they are any good at all.
  22. Runescape has always been about 2 things and always will be: 1) Money 2) Skills
  23. i spent about 15 hours there the first day: soon as i got 500 points it was the high gamble for me, hoping for a d chain....if not maybe a d2h? or d med?......neither all i got was 45 bloods! ok so i think gamble doesn't work what else is there?......i look..... ahh a fighter torso, wow a +4 str bonus, that seems like it will be worth getting and maybe it will be tradable? So i spend the next 10 hours getting 375 points in each class, 8 queen kills later and i have enough points to buy the torso. I get the torso! Yes the fighter torso is quite a cool item +4 str, but at what cost? a massive def loss!, thats what cost -and not tradeable So then i look around and think what else is there to work towards? the answer to that is nothing, i mean u dont even get any training expierience from the game. in my eyes once u have the fighter torso never return to this cheap mini game again, i certainately wont be for sure.
  24. on the 167 day of the year the kq drops a black party hat between 9 am and 10 am gmt with a 1000/1 chance :^o
