Make a better guide on how to do the blast furnace game!
rft replied to Ignis's topic in Help and Advice
well you are clearly not looking hard enough. There are a few guides to soloing the blast furnace in the Archive of Wisdom, as well as a good guide on the tipit main site. To get to kelgadrim you need to have got through some of the dwarf quests (at least Giant Dwarf) I think. I wouldnt recommend using the blast furnace unless you are 60+ smithing as you have to pay a fee to get in each time, and you cannot use the anvil that is there. -
mace is pretty weak on all counts (although a mith mace bought from a general store was my first proper weapon) - the only advantage with that is the decent prayer bonus that you can get from it. Apart from that, the above poster is right. You are always trading off strength for speed with the weapon sets

I have always been a big advocate of high level armour, but not so powerful that it makes the game ridiculously easy once you hit level 80, say. It is already pretty easy to kill 'most' things in the game with 80+ melee stats, so I am hoping that there is a downside to these. I dont think that they will have repairing (like barrows/crystal equipment), they will either be uber rare, require killing jad equivalent to have a small % drop of getting, or hopefully be cursed in some way i.e. disable prayer/hp drain/stat drain/untradeable/HUGE penalties for mage (if melee armour etc). I guess that we will have to wait and see....

for the person who said ashes: they are incredibly useful for making serum potions to use all those tarromins. Dont want to waste my limps on them. I thought that I'd add vampire dust to the list. I haven't seen any use for them ever! And did anyone mention eggs that you get from nests? Although I suspect that they are going to be a high level hunter upgrade....

Auctioning myself as a slave - FOR FREE!!! [gamecube10074!!]
rft replied to rushrock's topic in General Discussion
count me in. I hope that you like mining ess! -
people have done it on much lower stats than yours, but they often required doing them with a friend to pick up their stuff if they die. Personally, I'd consider getting your att/def/mage/pray/str all up by about 10 levels. Either way, you will need a lot of prayer pots, super restores and good food.

The best place by far is the spawn in the elven lands. You just have to have started ME2 to get access to the town nearby. The next best spot is the near the red dragons in the wildy, but you have to watch out for PKers....Growing them yourself is a pretty slow way of getting them, unless you only need a few.
-
I'd say that Forgettable Tale was my favourite quest. The story line is fantastic and made me laugh a lot. I 'would' have said ME2 however, if it was not for those irritating shadow warriors, that mede the puzzle no fun whatsoever to solve.

as long as you have a remotely decent magic or ranged level you should be able to do lost city. you have to take on zombies to get yourself an axe, but that is about it. If I recall rightly, your prayer gets drained down to just a couple of points, just enough to protect from the greaters as you run past them. As posters above mentioned - there are safespots aplenty so dont worry about having a low combat. You just need to make sure that you have plenty of arrows/runes to take him on (and something to tele out with).

the point here is that if you only sell 4 stacks of unids, then people think that they are getting scammed into paying over the limit for guams, marrentils, tarromins and harralanders. If you sold 9 stacks, then they know that they are getting some high level herbs along with the usual low level herbs.

Continuously lvl6-Enchant in the enchanting chamber
rft replied to Magic_Shad3's topic in Help and Advice
The enchanting place is pretty quick for magic xp levelling. However, I found the alchemy chamber pretty phenomenal xp too. Also, in the alchemy chamber, you can get free mage xp (i.e. you sometimes don't use up your nats when you high alch). I guess if cost wasnt a factor then level 6 enchanting would be a great idea. I jumped loads of levels by the time I have finished getting bones to peaches there. The only down side is that the telekinetic theatre is so slow and painful that you want to scratch your eyes out, and the graveyard is pretty slow xp until you have bones to peaches (cos you have to use bones to bananas until then). -
20 November 2006 - Game-world locations renamed
rft replied to Idarodo's topic in General Discussion
well I think that this is a really good idea. I could hear the collective sigh of disappointment going round though, as it was not hunter being released! However, if they did this tweaking at the same time, or after, hunting was released, then noone would bother reading it. It will make me much more aware of which worlds lag the most for me, I might even have to reconsider changing my 'home' world from w71! Having said all that though, every world will lag when this new skill comes out! There wont be enough rabbits to go round lol! -
Best way for me to level thieving? Pyramid Plunder?
rft replied to normanbiggs's topic in Help and Advice
i'd say definitely go for it. Dont bring a lockpick (as you will get more xp without) and stock up on super antipoison pots. I tend to do 4 trips on 1 super anti and 10-15 lobbies. I then sell my stuff to the dude in the agility pyramid, bank in nardah, and repeat. You will get better xp at 61 theiving. -
you could always try killing experiments. They have low attack so dont hit you very often, and have high hp so you can train for a while on the same monster.
-
trolls are awesome assignments - whats your combat level? Make sure that you are taking on the ones on death plateau though.
-
Some people like using b2p for dusties as they cant use guthans to heal there. If your def is high enough, you can stay down there indefinitely. I also like using b2p on assignment for abarrent specters. They tend to hit me fairly often, and I can just jump down the chain and kill a few crawling hands to get my hp back. I also use b2p on bloodvelds as they often drop lots of bones. Its a nice alternative to guthans if you want to put the time in. The only bad thing is putting the time in for the telekinetic theatre - it drove me mad!!
-
wildy spot is by far the quickest imo. I always go there as people tend not to PK you and get skulled for your unicorn horns as I always 3-item when I go there.
-
I think that he equipped a rubber chicken so that he would never do damage to them. Otherwise you have to be the first to engage in combat, and you might do damage to them (then switch auto retaliate off). Why dont you just level your combat? There are so many pure skillers out there now.

i'm afraid that there is no such thing as a good PC world. As soon as lots of high levels go there, then low levels start to filter in and the high levels switch worlds. If you want to win lots of games, you need to join a PC clan like Affliction to get all those points. I recommend going to world 78 and trading people for high level worlds. If you are not a high level then you will probably struggle.
-
I never burthorpe bronzes (but I dont seem to get them very often at the moment). I tend to avoid irons/steels (I'll probably do them at 110 combat) as my attack doesnt seem to be high enough. I tend to melee them in full rune, dfire shield/pots, superset and 15-20 monkfish. This lasts me (including my prayer) about 20-25 dragons with no prayer pots. Some people prefer to wear proselyte and a have a pile of prayer pots. With a superset and plenty of antifire potions, you can stay down there for ages.
-
actually I have a different setup to the ones listed above. I melee them in black dhide, and have a pile of runes for bones to peaches - I just head down to the crawling hands on the ground floor - to get my health back. I drop all my herbs that are harralanders and below.

Does anyone buy flatpacked construction items?
rft replied to 123neopet's topic in General Discussion
I have never bought or sold any flatpack furniture. It is pretty easy to get up to level 50-60 in construction, and with the addition of tea (+3) and the crystal saw(+3), most items are well within people's reach. Noone is going to make a flatpack of anything that requires gold leaf or marble as the risk is too high if the buyer decides not to buy after all. Flat packing is only good if you want a nice house but can't be bothered with the construction levels and you have a mate who can make you lowish level furniture. -
Hi, welcome to the forums. questions should be directed to the help and advice section of the forum. However, as you are new, I'll post the link below (found from the main tip.it website) http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=new_members_P2P_guide.htm have fun in p2p!
-
I'm pretty sure that there isn't one. The problem with official PC worlds is that they get overrun very quickly by low level players and all the high level players leave. Basically, you need to either a) take your luck on W78, join an PC clan, or trade people on W78 for a new PC world (need high combat requirements though).

To be honest there is no 'good' time to become a member. It also depends on what you want to get out of the game. I became a member so I could do more quests as I found them the most fun thing to do in the game. Remember that there are more varied methods/places to train your member skills which makines training much more fun and sometimes easier. What I would recommend to you is to get 100k xp in all your non member skills (its about level 50 if I recall). This will set you in a good stead for maximising your fun in members so that you dont have to spend lots of time training things that you could do on f2p. Finally, there is a guide to becoming a member (i.e. what to do once you have got it - quests/skills etc) but I dont recall seeing one about when it is best as it depends on what you want to get out of the game.
