  1. yeah RAHK did a good thread on KC (got to 9999) and got the same rewards that you would if you got a KC of 30. It doesnt affect your chances of a barrows item though. There is a good thread by Leesters (about a month ago) which was very instructive abour learning about common misconceptions in the barrows.
  2. f2p definitely ernest the chicken. It's the reason that I found tip.it! p2p it is a close call between rat catchers and ME2. I would have had a go at the puzzle in ME2 if they didnt have those stupid shade-things attacking you all the time. It took me several hours to do with a guide!!! Rat catchers was just incredibly irritating - I cannot stress that enough. I hope that I never have to do another quest like that again! So rat catchers gets my vote as it really did seem like it was down to luck not skill.
  3. yeah, chuck your ham, quest items, plant pots etc. Organise your bank based on skills, then you will always know where to find stuff. Also, can some of those keys go on the keyring? If not, do you still need all of them?you should have 3-4 lines of bankspace free by the time that you have had a clearout.
  4. your range and prayer wont count towards your 126 combat. If you want to get to 126 combat, try doing pest control or slayer to break up your training. The hardest skil that you will have to level is prayer, it will most likely cost you an arm and a leg. At only 46 prayer, I am not sure that you appreaciate how difficult that skill is to level. Dragon bones+ecto/gilded altar seems the best way forward, or use the Pest Control points to get your xp. Just try to get your prayer to 73 (1mil xp) and see how hard that is. Then think that you need to get the same amount of xp 12 times more to get to 99. I'd reccommend getting your combat skills to 85 and prayer to 70 and see how you feel trying to get higher combat.
  5. will happen every time I'm afraid. As the reward is so nice, and the xp is so good, people would just camp out there if there wasnt a drawback to the chest.
  6. I'm the same agility level as you and I got 2k tickets in brimhaven to get up to 75. I cannot bear the thought of going back there again as it takes ages to get a decent amount of xp. I did the wildy course recently and still failed a lot, but have only failed once at ape atoll since level 74. Good luck putting all those laps in!
  7. I'd follow the tipit quest guide, although I think that there is an excellent guide in the Archive of Wisdom. Take each diamond at a time. Most of them can be felled with the right magic spell, asnd make sure that you have a ring of life just incase. By the way, I did DT at about your stats and I did die once, but that was due to my ineptitude rather than the guys being difficult. Make sure that you have plenty of prayer potions for damis, plenty of super restore potions for kamil, plenty of food for dessous and fareed is easy. Good luck!
  8. well IMO, I'd go to brimhaven as you will fail a lot at ape atoll. But I cannot deny that ape is better xp. I am level 75 agil and never fail at ape atoll, but went to the wildy course (at level 74) and still failed quite regularly. Stick with ape atoll I'd say.
  9. I think that I am going to remove my combat room to make space for the costume room. I am a little disappointed that they didnt add an extra couple of spaces for more rooms, but other than that I think that the new update looks really good. Its a shame that you can't store incomplete sets though... As noone else has mentioned it yet, the new potions using goat horns are now the best xp for using harralanders so no need for all those ground chocolates any more... I always welcome updates for herblore. Maybe we will see a "super combat" potion in the near future....
  10. i guess that it depends what you want to do in the game. Combat helps for a lot of skills and quests (which can make skilling and getting around easier). Nice slayer for your combat level though :-). You'll struggle to make a lot of money with your skills as they are at the moment. I'd say keep levelling your skills for a while, but personally, combat owns. You could try just levelling just one type of combat like magic (good for alching) and own in the wildy!
  11. my highest is 2! i tend to just delete them after a while and would only put them back on if they started hassling me again!
  12. There is another way of getting good farming seeds. Use miscellania. If you have cash to spare, just set 10 workers on maples and 5 on farming. You should get enough maples to make your money back (or get several firemaking levels), and you get LOADS of nests. You will get plenty of seeds from the farming workers, and between those and the tree seeds that you get, you should have plenty of stuff to get plenty of farming xp.
  13. I love quests - they are my favourite part of runescape. I used to do quests using guides because there were so many that I wanted to get them out of the way. Now I regret using guides so readily, I would love to go back and do them again off my own back. The only exception I'd say is the light temple in ME2. I would have probably had a go at it if there were not those really irritating level 15 monsters that kept hitting you and making you bank for food. I really needed a guide for that one!
  14. It took me about 15 hours+ to get 1k ticks in the agility arena at 67 agility. Personally, I'd stick at ape atoll. Just set yourself a task of 50 laps or something. Or set yourself little challenges as you go round, like how fast can you do a complete lap etc just to kill the time.
  15. so let me get this straight - you got lured once before for your fury and veracs, and then you thought that the next thing to do would be to take 2.5 mil and crystal bow into the wildy? The more you keep losing money, the more you will learn not to make silly mistakes. As far as making money goes, you clearly had enough to buy fury, crystal bow, veracs and 2.5mil. Just make your money however you did before. Or you could do barrows runs, fletch, runecraft nats, the usual money makers.
  16. I'd quite like to see some armour with penalties attached. Cursed armour or something. for example, to offset the really nice melee or extra defense bonuses, the armour could slowly drain prayer or disable protect spells, or cause a hp drain or something.
  17. well i did the same thing as you when i did it. I stole from the stall and regretted having to wait for so long before I could talk to him again. If I remember rightly, it was only a couple of hours or so, and logging in and out didnt really help matters either. Just do something else for a bit, then come back to it tomorrow, and you should be fine.
  18. agility - generally very useful, but wont make you any money. Handy for quests though smithing - if you can get it up to 60, the blast furnace might be a nice way to make a little profit (half the coal required for all bars). Not great at money making though, especially if you have to buy your own nats. fletching - the ultimate money maker. Good advice from ^^ about the willows. Once you get to 70, the money starts rolling in. herblore - this will almost certainly cost you money to level, unless you spend ages getting all your own herbs. I'd always say that its worth it though cos as soon as you can make supersets, the money comes rolling back in your favour again. ranged - definitely another good one to level. Combine it with a few slayer tasks, or just range hellhounds for level 3 clue scrolls. Apart from the cost of the arrows (you can smith them yourself...) this is a good skill to level. Personally, I'd concentrate on one skill for a bit, then when you get bored, do another. start with fletching to get some money in, then use that money to buy yourself a few levels in other skills.
  19. you need to have protect from melee prayer on at all times. Take about 10 prayer pots as your prayer drains fast. I maged him with earth wave, which finished him off pretty quickly. The most important thing is to keep an eye on your prayer level. If you let him hit you you are in for some serious pain. If you have any prayer boosting gear like prayer books, initiate/proselyte, then you might want to wear that too, just as long as you keep your magic bonus positive. Have auto retaliate off just incase you start attacking the skeletons and focus your efforst on damis. Good luck!
  20. feel fee to add me and hyt me. RSN: curanir1 I'm always on world 71 most GMT evenings.
  21. you have got a very nice agility level for a new to p2p player. the problem with blue dragons is that they are ALWAYS crowded wherever you go. In the basement of the hero's guild there is a single blue dragon who gets owned 24-7. I wouldnt recommend fighting them here. The bank is pretty close if you use a games necklace (enchanted sapphire necklace) to teleport to the rogues den (needs 50 agil and theiving though). Secondly, you could try fighting the im taverley dungeon. This is a popular spot and is also busy, but there are more dragons to choose from, so you have a higher chance of getting a kill. The closest bank is falador, using a teleport tablet is the best way to maximise on bank space and quick trips. As mentioned above, a mithril grapple will get you to the to other end of taverley dungon if you start from catherby, but you have to run past a lot of nasties to get to the blue drags. I'd recommend fally for banking. The final good spot is in the Ogre enclave. you need to have completed watchtower quest, and if you have then you will know where the dragons are. This is the quietest spot for blue drags, but yanill bank isnt that close. So take your pick of spots....
  22. well it took me about 15ish attempts at 68 agility. Just keep persevering and you will get there eventually. Its an exceptionally irritating part of the quest, as you have killed all 4 guardians, and you are wandering in to claim your reward, only to find another hours worth of irritation. Just keep your eye on the goal at the end and you will make it in the end.
  23. 1. I'd recommend doing druidic ritual (gets you started on herblore) and priest in peril (access to morytania). After that, you should have a go at lost city or plague city series. There are so many quests to choose from, just do whichever takes your fancy. I'd recommend training all your skills to at least 50 - it makes questing a lot easier (and you can do legends then too). Tears of guthix is pretty good as the minigame xp rocks. 2. I'd say later. Get a few levels early on, but dont spend your money on it just yet. You'll need millions to burn to get a good con level. 3. to make money, I'd recommend getting your rc level up to 44 ( for nats) and start making nats to sell or use for high alching the best bows you can make. (obviously good fletching is a prerequisite here, but is a great money making skill). You can make money levelling your thieving, or doing slayer, or even by playing minigames like Pest Control 4. Haven't looked you up sry, but you should just join whenever you can as p2p offers much better levelling opportunities. There is a guide on the tipit website for new members - look that up for some good advice. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=new_members_P2P_guide.htm
  24. the best place for picking flax is just south of seers village, and the best place for spinning is the lumby castle. If you want to do both at once, then i find that tree gnome stronghold is pretty good.
  25. you might want to get your prayer up if you want to avoid using loads of prayer pots. I use 0-2 doses per trip at 69 prayer and it saves me a bundle. If you are going to recharge your prayer after each run, then a house teleport+canafis portal is the way to do runs fast. Make sure that you have done the myreque quests so that you can get through the swamp fast too. Shades of mortton is very useful if you want to unnote supplies from the general store (although with the burgh de rott bank nearby, its probably not worth it) With regards to killing the brothers fast, make sure that you use a good mage spell on all the brothers except ahrim, slayer dart is best. Kill ahrim using ranged weaponry. the stats on the barrows items remains the same until they totally degrade, at which point you cannot wear them anymore.
