  1. Great idea, go for the version that isn't being updated and is reccomended against installing by the company that made it? :P
  2. I plan to mine and smith 750 iron ore, then smith it into something i can use to help get my range lvl up from 62 to 70 at fire giants. Which would be better, arrows or darts? I'm not sure how well i'd hit fire giants with my range level without the bonus of a bow... Can you pick darts up?
  3. Technically, it's all part of the Biohazard line of quests :) Biohazard - Underground Pass - Regicide - Roving Elves - ME1 - ME2
  4. Two questions: On the front page it says you need 130 combined att/str to get in On the forums a few people havfe said you need 65 att + 65 str Which is right? I dont really want to level past my 70 att/60 str atm :P Where can you buy black armour from? Other than other players.
  5. Since when were Chaos 250gp? :? They're 150 max, more like 120 on free worlds
  6. Definately the slayer level. When you get them, i found that a couple of fire waves was all i needed at 81 mage. I think range and melee are equally easy. This should be in Help and Advice :P
  7. If the game rollbacks, which i don't think in a million years will happen, i'll lose those horrible agility lvls, Underground Past and Legends, and i'll cry :P
  8. Assuming by SNL you mean Saturday Night Live, we dont get it in England :P Well, we probably do on some satellite chan somewhere, but it's not mainstream. Obviously it's still possibly a tribute to a random SNL sketch, but it's much less likely than the Monty Python/Austin Powers/etc references you find around.
  9. Absolutely hilarious :D Sure, i'm sorry for the people who lost valuable items and i hope they get them back, but the whole situation made me laugh. If it'd been me i'd have definately used the power too.. it's a once in a lifetime chance! I probably wouldn't have pked for items, but i'd have gone around killing a few people :P
  10. Get a level 123, then say it's not boring and is the greatest game ever. :P I had fun while it lasted, but I got tired of updates being "Hey hey, new quest suited for level 50's with a reward that isn't even an upgrade for them!" It's fun for what it is, but when you play WoW (if you haven't yet) it makes you not want to look back. Ever. :P I know loads of people who say they found WoW uterly boring after they got their character to lvl 60 :P
  11. Skull \o/ I'll change to Zammy in a few years when i get 70 prayer :P
  12. How can anyone say that Legends/Desert Treasure are harder than RFD, when they're requirements for RFD :? Ive not done ME2, so for me the hardest quest has to be RFD.
  13. I've had the mime once and i got gloves and legs. I'm pretty certain that there is no order to it.
  14. Yes. It gives details in the tip.it magic guide... surprisingly.
  15. One word: Glue
  16. I merchanted 400k when the skill came out, then ploughed it all into construction and i have my house fully kitted out at lvl 40 construction :)
  17. I don't really get why anyone would buy a flatpack throne :/ Rares are high prices because they're an investment. With full drag you can show off your wealth to everyone. The only people who would see/care about your throne are the mates you invite to your house, and they probably already know if you're rich. Theo nly thing i can see it being interesting for is both showing off your wealth AND your 99 construction, which you cant do with a flatpack.
  18. People are complaining because the value of their rares has dropped? Rares are a gamble. Their prices rise and fall. If they can't take losing, they shouldn't be playing the game.
  19. l83 with about 5-6m net worth here. I think the 15m guess is a pretty fair one.
  20. Does it sing when you press a button? :P
  21. Jesus this is a longer post than i thought. Sorry :P --Before i start, i know that the profit i made wasn't as much as many make, i don't consider myself to eb a good merchanter, and i could probably have made more money doing things slightly differently. I'm just happy with what i did-- The carpenter was the last straw for me. With all the info that had been leaked and all the hints Jagex was putting into the game, i was sure they were introducing Construction. Soon. I decided to think logically about how i coudl give myself a headstartm, and set about collecting a few things i thought coudl be useful. I made steel nails, mined granite and sandstone. I even collected an invent of planks, before deciding that if planks were going to be used Jagex would introduce quicker ways to get them than we had (either the spawn under Miscelania, or trekking thru the wildy). Then, today, it was released. Like everyone else in teh game i rushed to the estate agents, but then i gave myself 5 minutes and sat back to read the construction guide in the kownledge base. not everything, just giving myself a quick idea of what i'd need to do. I saw that saws were esssential, so i went to the lumber yard and grabbed 5, then went down to the portal. It was still very easy after the update, and there weren't many people around. I decided to offload my extra 4 saws, so tentatively started with a "selling saws, 20k ea". I quickly realised this was a bit too high, and lowered it to 10k ea. I wasn't particuarly there to sell and wasn't too bothered about the money; if people were interested, great, if not then i'd just drop the saws. Fortunately for me, everyone wanted one :) I got rid of the first 4 and noticed that people were looking for hammers as well. I'd taken my hammers (seemed like commen sense) and after a quick deliberation decided there was money to be made from lazy people, so i offloaded it with the last saw for 20k. Cue a quick tele to Varrock, to run up and get a few more saws. I think i bought 10 saws, then headed to the general store for some hammers. I'd noticed all the nails had sold out already at the lumber yard, so i picked up 500 i'd made earlier in the week too. Back to the portal and i started with "selling hammer and saw sets, 20k" A few people had cottonned on to the selling saw business, but i was still getting a lot of trades because i'd moved on and was offering the two most important items at once - saving people time. The important thing to remember is that the oprice of an item is goverened by supply and demand - and i knew that more people were going to start selling too, and that demand would slowly drop as the high-payers who were desperate to geet high skills got their items. The majority of the game won't pay 20k for a hammer and saw, even when a new skill's released. With this in mind, i lowered my price to 10k a set and kept up a steady flow of the trades. The lag was immense and it took a while while to get trades thru, but most people were understanding. I had 8 sets, and sold them all off quite easily. Then i turned to my nails. A few people had been shouting that they wanted to buy, the only question was what price? I knew i had two things on my side - a) i had quite a lot of nails (meaning less time wasted buying nails for skillers) and i was the only person selling them at the time. Having worked otu what the nails cost me in steel, i worked out what i thougth woudl be a reasonable profit. then i doubled it ;) I knew that i could always lower my price if noone was interested, but by starting high i might get lucky. "Selling 500 steel nails, 100k" I got a trade almost instantly, which surprised me. The guy offered 75k, which i thought about, but i figured he'd probably still be there in a couple of minutes if noone else bought, so i turned it down. he came back with the full amount :) Then i headed back to the bank, picking up my other 500 nails and 15 of my planks. Saws had already fallen to 2-3k and loads of people were selling, so i didnt bother going back for more of those. I sold my second load of nails pretty quickly, altho this time the guy offered 90k and i was lagging too much to argue. I decided to sell the planks in blocks of 5 - it'd be easier to sell them all at once, but i didnt think people would have that many free invent spaces. There were already some peopel selling planks, so i aimed fairly low (well, compared to the last sales) and offloaded three sets of 5 pretty quickly, for 10k each. Now, i'd noticed the stonemason in the kb, and i thought that may be a decent place to make a quick deal, as he had very low stocks of the best items. My idea was to spend all the profit i'd made on the top stone, then in a coupel of days as people started to get their level high enough to want it, i figured the stonemason would probably be sold out fast and it'd be much harder to get a large amount of it. When i got there and saw the stone cost 1m, i changed my plans :P At this stage, i decided i was bored of merchanting (ive never been that rich because i dont have the patience :P) and that i might as well invest my profit in the new skill. So far i've bought about 200 limestone bars (for later) and made 100 planks, and i'll move onto buying some metal bars soon. In the end, i made about 400k in under an hour. And all by having a little foresight, and being in the right place at the right time :) p.s. Some people dislike this kind of merchanting for some reason. I've no idea what their problem is. I didn't stop people getting their items just like i did, i merely offered a fast service if people wanted to pay for it. Opportunist? Yes, but why is that a bad thing?
  22. That'l be the 1k one then? :P
  23. Btw. This week i've been making nails, collecting planks, mining limestone and collecting teak/mahogany. :D
