  1. So Duke, you've been logging the prices of rares for almost the past four years? And you've got logs showing the price changes of other items as well? Amazing :) Will you ever upload the raw figures so that other people can offer their analyses?
  2. Tbh, you might as well say "riding a bike ruined my friend's life"
  3. Just seen the fm cape emote - it's brilliant :D
  4. My first job was a 200 house paper round :/ I wasn't 'that' young tho, started at about 14/15. Since then i've washed pots at my local posh restaurant (nice fod at teh end of a late shift) but mainly worked in designing/creating/managing databases for businesses over the summer.
  5. It's depressing reading all these kids think they're too old to go trick or treating :( I only stopped when i was 16/17 and i looked at myself in the mirror, big black hoodie on, [Caution: Jagex Rule Violation] covered in 'blood' etc, and realised people would be genuinely scared :P Wish i had soem younger cousins or something so I could still enjoy wandering around on Halloween. Parties are still fun tho, ofc :D
  6. As far as the snapshot Jagex would have reeived is concerned: You offered to ID their herbs, but didn't give them back once you'd IDed them. That's worth a ban. You're unlucky that the snapshot didn't catch you giving the herbs back, that's all.
  7. Travelling halfway across the world to some deserted area, only to be told you need to walk all the way back to pick up some item you didn't bring in the first place, is incredibly annoying. If quests were just about the mental challenge, most of the time i'd be happy doing them alone, but wasting time trecking around for items really doesn't appeal to me so i only do quests with guides.
  8. None said they earn 32 million a year. TheLeader quoted their net worth, which is how much money they would have if they sold all their assets (shares in Jagex etc).
  9. There's no such thing. The best worlds are those with high-level pest control 'clans' in, and they change world frequently to avoid everyone else gatecrashing them. Questions should go to H&A btw
  10. Not sure what my agility level was but it was definatly under 49 as i did legends at 48. I took a couple of agility pots and potted during the last part (where you've got to jump across loads of bridges). I fell quite a few times, and it was annoying, but not enough to make me stop trying. I've just done regicide at 56 (with no pots), and had to go back thru the pass twice. I failed... 3 obstacles in the two runs so it makes a big difference.
  11. My only passtime on rs is improving my character - be it by doing quests, skilling, making money etc. ever heard of humor? i like helping noobs for some reason... (quitted 3 weaks ago) Discomonkey = owned by marlin and flame! and the crowd goes wild woot! I wouldn't say he was 'owned' because he thinks it's pathetic you get your kicks from annoying people
  12. Exactly. We've had the biggest quest ever and biggest skill ever introduced. The biggest ever engine change since RS2 came out. The third most played minigame (Pest Control, after Barrows and CW). An update to range as big as the update to mage last year... and a big update to mage. How you can say we've no had many big updates is beyond me.

I had a philosophy lecturer who i'm certain was stoned in every lecture. He's say something about "Locke's corpuscular theory of ideas" or something then stand there nodding his head, looking into the distance for a few minutes. :P Drew some awesome powerpoint presentations too, which he'd flash up on the screen then look at and say "yeah, i'm not entirely sure what i was supposed to be depicting on here..." The teacher who took the tutorial group next to mine hung himself while i was at the school... I once had an economics lecturer who was a) Spanish, with a strong accent and B) had a cleft palete. None us us could understand a thing he said, and we had to piece the work together from what he wrote on the board and our books :/ That's all i can remember atm
  14. Meh, most of these ads are the kind which are funny for a bit but get boring. The Guinness Surfer ad still sends a shiver down my spine every time i see it. Sadly, YouTube does not do it justice, you really should watch it on a Cinema screen for the full effect.
  15. Found out for myself - the mage shop on ape atol :)
  16. The RFD guide says you can buy greegrees from 'a monkey shop'. Which shop is this? If it's on Ape Atol, where?
  17. Pfft, my two recent 'expensive' buys were Torags and a Whip, and i love them both :P
  18. If you think the title might be misleading, it might be an idea to have a less stupid title. The fact it resets at midnight has nothing to do with egotism. If they based it on when you collected the supplies then a) They'd have to store an extra value for every player in the database, which is a waste of resources when there's an easier way to do it B) People would have to write down or remember exactly what time they last went rather than have an easy to remember international standard to reference and c) It would make it more inconvenient for no reason. If people want they can use the set time to collect two loads of resources in one quick run, rather than being forced to wait an entire day.
  19. Fav task: Trolls Fav slayer monster: Jellies I hate kalphites :/
  20. Quick tip - if you fight lessers in Taverly dungeon, there are lots of bones that line the walls, meaning you can use Bones to Peaches to stay there for any length of assignment even without guthans :)
  21. Shish kebabs seem massively impractical to me. Of course, i've had them on a BBQ at home but i can't imagine them ever been sold at a fast food place - too many people whould put their eye out after a night on the tiles. As people above have said, the Donner Kebab is probably the #2 food to buy at the end of a night out, after a box of chips. It's a lot more fun to eat than a burger. Btw, you missed off one vital part in your explanation of donner kebabs. Given that so many are sold, it'd be impractical to make shish kebabs every time and stick them in the bread, so large scewers of meat rotate constantly in the kitchen, the meat being shaved off when required. This is part of the strange appeal, as the meat invariably looks a bit dodgy and i for one would never get a kebab with less than 5 pints in me. It's an adventure ;)
  22. This are all the variables rite there. Actually, other variables include more people getting level 70 attack, and more people earning enough to buy a whip. I could go on... :P
  23. I find your reference to any particular civil war as 'the civil war' arrogant and inconsiderate. Nah, i don't really, but you should lighten up.
  24. The most boring skill to train is agility.
