  1. What i really like about the brutal greens is the potential they unlock. Lots of people like higher level non-boss monsters, and as more people get to the higher levels more people will be looking for them. Brutal Dragons are a whole new breed at the top levels that gives us a lot to look forward to in that respect. Having said that, i'd rather they introduced addy and rune dragons first. Wonder when Brutal Rune Dragons will come out, and what level they'l be ;)
  2. That's 13m xp, which equals dealing 13m hp worth of damage. In 24 hours, that'd be over 500k hp an hour, which means you apparently did 150 hp damage every second. Your lying is so poor it's comical.
  3. I think this thread has to win the award for highest number of people posting what has already been said a million times before them :P
  4. For a start, you can never rely on wikipedia to be correct about any one thing at any one time. For all you know some random nutter made that up a few minutes ago. Secondly, how can you manage to read the article and miss the fact that even wikipedia suggests numerous meanings of the word dependant on the context? It doesn't specifically and solely (if at all) mean "a 12 inch false man"
  5. I hope the 'high level quest' needs about 50 combat, just to annoy all the arrogant high level players around :)

I think guth is slightly overrated tbh. I have Torags, B2P and 80 def, and i don't remember the last time i had to bank during a slayer assignment (eating monks) I guess if you're going to sit killing something in an awkward place for many hours on end it's useful, but that's not really my thing. I'm no expert on the fight caves, but i'd say muggi is, and he thinks it's much easier without guthans :P
  7. Being the utter genius i am, i turned one of my crystal bows into a shield, so i'm forced to use Karil's Xbow against Jad. Question is - will 500 bolt racks be enough? I can kill everything up to hit with my one crystal bow, altho i'd rather switch for the double 360s. 72 range
  8. Kidnapped by the evil white knights! I love conspiracies :P
  9. I always used to be a saver, focused on getting the most for my money etc. Then i decided i wanted 70 prayer and a fire cape, so it all went out the window :P
  10. I find it interesting that a fair few people are celebrating 'Christmas' on the 24th. Why? There's not a chance in hell i'll be on RS over Xmas. Christmas Eve will be a chaotic night out so Xmas morning will probably be peaceful recovering and slowly opening my few presents, then heading off to relatives for a massive meal and an evening-night of talking/games/drink. I get on really well with my extended family and look forward to spending a few days together. Boxing day will be more of the same with different relatives and i'll probably get back on RS the day after that :)
  11. chenw, you made at least your money back on the herbs alone :D profit should be easily over 5m It takes 10% every day. Which means if he didn't top off the coffer, the second day would've been .10(7,475,000) or 74,750gp. Given that isn't awfully much, but after 100 days, that could really add up... Give me a sec and I'll see how much he'd actually end up spending if he didn't top it off... [sorry for the punctuation, bust kb] firstly, i think you missed off a 0 as 10 percent of 7475000 is 747500. secondly, it only takes up to 75k a day. thirdly, 75k for 100 days gives 7.5m :)
  12. all the quests in order, best to worst imo [sorry for the lack of caps, my keyboard is bust] Recipie For Disaster: superb quest. hardest requirements of any quest, longest, most to do, most new content into the game, best rewards. Royal Trouble: an inspired quest that changed the chance to own your own kingdom from a pathetic novelty into a fully workable and entertaining sideline Swan Song: a fun quest, that introduced a great new fish and developed the update i'm most looking forward to in the future - summoning Lunar Dimplomacy: an annoying crafting requirement which is still haven't met, but any extension to mage is welcome to me My Arm: disease free growing for my high level herbs? cheers. Fairy tale p2: finally, a quest with a serious herblore requirement. the fairy rings are a useful addition, although not the most convenient teleportation. perhaps im a little mean, but id have prefered the rings to only be open to people who earned them by finishing the quest Slug Menace: the quest was poor but the armour is a welcome improvement to initiate and suggests further improvements in the future Enakrah's Lament: entertaining quest, and the teleport to near the ancients temple is nice Cabin Fever: entertaining quest, and opened up access to cave horrors - which also brought those lovely slayer masks Enlightened Journey: the reward is only 'ok' but enjoyed the puzzles - something we've not had in a quest before Elemental WOrkshop II: not done it yet. i guess the reward is a reasonable update to elemental shields Hand in the sand: not a terrible quest, the sand is an ok reward altho im not a big fan of crafting Fairy Tale p1: i think the secateurs give a negligable effect and the quest was no better than ok Animal Magnitism: not done the quest yet. i dont like the idea of the reward creating an influx of steel and iron arrows - even though it will benefit me i think it may make range training slightly too easy Eyes of Glouphrie: ok quest, nice reward if you like crafting but i dont. Darkness of the Hallowvale: this could be a fun qeust but ive not done it yet so cant comment Rag And Bone Man: not really much of a quest. vaguely annoying Soul's Bane: if i was a lower leveled player id like this, but im not so i dont. the quest was quite fun but the reward is pointless for me. In Aid of the Myreque: havent done it, reward doesnt interest me Eagle's peak: nothing to the quest, pointless reward if you have fairy rings Death to the Dorggeshun: any queast that requires 2 sets of full HAM is pure evil
  13. Wow, how do you get the frog in? ;)
  14. Aaaa, but then why take verac? When i barrow it's just using my guthans. But he dds ahrim? You need 90+ str to do that? Verac gives a prayer bonus so his supers last longer than they would with Guthan.
  15. Where do you get this from? It goes completely against everything i've ever heard about rings of wealth.
  16. RFD (by far) Manage Thy Kingdom Lunar Mage
  17. He was just being nice. You can't get scammed by picking up an addy skirt :)
  18. The whole point was that it's meant to be hard :) Quasar889 figured out the letters and he used a Braille chart - no prior knowledge needed.
  19. As far as i can see in the relevant Act (the 2005 Gambling Act) there is no age restriction people gambling for something that is neither money nor "moneys worth". Mmm, having said that, if it was in a member's area then perhaps it could be considered 'betting' as the definition of a prize in betting is more general - "any money, articles or services". I'm not certain, but i have a feeling that if the gambling was a p2p element of the game you'd have to be over 18, and if it was f2p there'd be no age restriction.
  20. Yeah, i fing it prettyu easy to type without looking at the keyboard as well. I miss the occasional letter but for the most part it's really easy. That's what using a computer nearly every day for the past 10 years does for you i guess :) Tying with your eyes closed is also a way of testing your typing ability = slightly harder than just not looking at the kb :P
  21. I really don't see why legally blind people shoot, other than for the twisted kick of murdering something. How can it be a 'sport' when the only skill you need is knowing how to hold a gun straight? Oh, and being able to listen. Wow, the right to have your corpse dragged away and eaten rather than left in the forest. I'm sure the animals are just delighted!
  22. When a friend of my friend - a guy i'd never talked to before - heard i was into magic, he gave me a black mystic top (this was about a year ago, when they were worth far more than they are now). I didn't even have the defence level to wear it :P From then on i made it my mission, first to get 40 defence, then to save up until i could afford to buy all the other pieces.
  23. I finished putting things in my bank. The only reason i got members was because i'd filled up the f2p bank space. I dont think i even explored the members area for a few days after that. Lol :D
  24. Erm... 3rd Age Armour is better than Dragon, and doesn't degrade.
