prayer doesnt lengthen a fight in reality, all they have to do is switch attack types, hit and change styles again, the prayer guy cant match it as fast and takes damage.

I started runescape on 23dec04, as a member. $5USD is nothing, I figured if I didnt like the game after a month, I would just cancel. So I have never ever been F2P. There are a lot of adult players in the game. I belong to two adult exclusive clans. Maybe a lot more have started the game. I have had 7 friends in RL from work start playing just from hearing me talk about it. From an adults point of view, $5usd is no big deal, my lunch costs 3 times that. So if they start up a character, it only makes sense to have everything available to you. That was my reasoning, I do not like limitations, and wanted to be able to do and see everything. It is also getting close to summer time, most kids will be out of school soon, and logging on to play. Just another possible angle.

take the long walk and ride to khramja, go southwest of brimhaven to the dungeon symbol, voila.....dont remember but there is 8-10 or so gold ores and never anyone there...and then there is that one quest where you get access to the underground gold mine with over 180+ ores of gold, and a guy who banks them for you. I realize your a "pure" and may not be able to do this quest, but then I never understood pures unless it is for pking....which I have never done. the mining rudeness is runewide, they got "picked on" thus when they get a mining level advantage over someone else, they get to "pick on" someone else, like they were. it is a revolving situation. sad but very prevalent in the game, being a lowly 71 miner who (obviously) never does it, I know your pain. peace

Full Dharok, strength ammy, climber boots, berserker ring, and "barrows" gloves. However, this is a recent change, I trained to 124 using torags, whip, tzhaar shield, berserker helm, strength ammy, climbers and wealth ring.

True it is still an achievement, but one that is all to common now, how would you like it if you had a high level stat and were one of the first to get it, but then because you were limited on what you could do, everyone else cought up to you and you were nothing special anymore. We understand not EVERYONE is 99 hits, but try to look at it the way Richie and I do lol, hi by the way gee :P Completely agree, being a "RS2 product" who got to 124 in 14 months with 1600+ total, it is way to easy. I am happy to be where I am at, but I completely understand how frustrating it must be for the old timers, who worked their butts off to hit high level status, and then you hit a brick wall. I guess eventually it will be 10's of thousands of 123+ running around.....kinda pointless. I dont think there should be a cap. If there was a level 186 with 4.2 billion combat exp (just a number I pulled out of my behind) in level 56 wildy, he could not attack anybody lower then 130, thus he or she has reached an exclusive rank. It doesnt make it any worse for the lower levels, but it gives that person a feeling of accomplishment at reaching a rare and exclusive level. Flip side to that I guess, is the pkers will whine that he is untouchable, and can just wander throughout the wildy at his leisure, unable to be pked because of his lofty level....waaah, thats his reward for dedicating that much time to the game, want to attack him? level. With new players joining all the time, there will always be "lo-levs", yet with a cap in place, there will be a overwhelming percentage of "hi-levs", which makes the game become boring.....and no, that cute new quest with the bright purple and pink striped spear won't make the game more enjoyable (just an example, there isnt a quest like that yet)....it's about working for that next level that attracts most people, IMO.

Exactly. Legs are worth more than chain in any armor. Now if only the price actually reflected that, I might be able to buy the chain I've been saving so hard for :cry: My thoughts exactly. Same with skirt (which has same price as legs... why the heck would it be less to shop?) It's easy to forget that just because an item SELLS for more, doesn't mean that it's "worth" more, even though d legs are far easier to get than the d chain is (well, unless you consider dust devils). Dustdevils are in no way, an easy form in which to get a dragon chain. I've killed 23k of them myself and only gotten one chain. I got it at around 15k kills and am still wondering how I even got that lucky. 23k dusties? omg.....I don't know if I have the fortitude to do that :) What sickens me is my buddy got a chain on his third dustie assignment...sigh. :(

I have all the shields, like many others do, and I always always use Obsidian when training, along with climbers and fury with torags armor and whip. Makes for nice hits. With a high def level and high armor def, I gladly trade 10 def points for +5 str bonus. Then there is the fashion conscious. Reminds me of when I see ppl wearing blk cavaliers while training...um...why? Ya you look "cool", but I want to kill as many as possible in as little time as possible. So i wear whatever is going to kill the fastest, regardlesss of looks. Maybe thats why I "train smarter, not harder"..and made 123 in 12 months....meh. :P

eeeeeeeek I am one of the "unable to log in" guys.....hehe joyous. New treasure trail rewards sounds cool as I do 2-3 a day on average. oh just imagine the price of the new drag drop *rolls eyes* if the little wood cutter was 5mil or so....lol. *huggz his whip*. Like everything else, wait a couple months and price will stabilize...or get your own. I dont have much choice but wait it out and buy later, as I am a lone wolf.

Simple solution: add some aggressive level 45 monsters with high attack and strength that will attack you unless your twice their level. That should clear out the rabble.

13 months playing here, I agree the community is full of 12 yo's going on nine. However amongst the rabble I have met some really decent ppl, young and "old". I belong to a private adult runescape clan (invitation only and started by one of the top 30 players) who doesnt pk, and work to establish fun and skill building contests along with other things. so nice to be able to train alongside with someone who isnt giggling about body parts or gastro-instestinal noises. Outside of that, I have been a recluse, mining away in the arsinian gold mine, cutting magics in elfland, training on fires in the smoke dungeon, anything to be left alone..sad really, it is a mmorpg after all, where part of the fun is inter-acting with other ppl. Anyway, peace and happy life and all :)
