  1. Pfft, Generic sigs suck! Put a little bit more time and effort into it and make your own stat sig! *points downwards*
  2. I do believe that mage(g) is just like normal wizard robes but with golden trim, I may be wrong.
  3. Sweet thanks. Someone else told me the same, so now I just need to find myself another plate.
  4. Firstly, whats the best way to get tokens in there? I haven't been in yet, looking for the advice first. Secondly, and mainly, I read on the kbase that there is a small chance of losing a piece of armour in the animated armour thingy, can anyone give me more details on this? Like how big the chance is, how often you have if ever lost a piece of armour, is the chance higher with lower metal armours etc? Thirdly, is there anything else I should know that isn't in the tip.it guide?
  5. 1. The clothes are clothes, they do what clothes do. The items, well some are useful and some aren't(as of yet, such as blue bird's egg), what items in particular are you talking about? 2. I hate you, you're an idiot and so is everyone who thinks like you, I hate them too. You're all missing the real value of the holiday drops. Drop your ring anyway, if your stupid thinking ways had been better and you'd paid attention to what was said or any of the drops since '03, you'd know you can always replace the ring by talking to a certain NPC, Diango in this case. As for the actual question; No, no it isn't, I'd bet my character on it. In fact, right here and right now, I promise you that you can have my character and all the stuff on it if that easter ring ever becomes tradeable. 3. Dunno personally, but the price check guide over at zybez.net says 650-800k at the current moment in time.
  6. Yep, port phasmatys is probably fastest although I don't use it and you need to have ghosts ahoy done to use it I think, may be wrong. My furnace of choice is usually al kharid for big jobs, or the blast furnace for steel+ jobs.
  7. Not entirely sure of the noburn level for those, but I would still recommend banking them all in edgeville, then maybe cooking later on. There is a range in edgeville too, but you may not have noticed or seen it because it's upstairs of the general store, it's probably still closer than going to a range in varrock.
  8. Indeed, people don't say 'selling rune full' because then people may think they're selling a full set of rune, as opposed to just a full helm, and nobody types out the full names of anything on runescape...ever.
  9. Well, I find no trouble selling lobs, but you're looking at 200 each for them. Good place to get a better price would be edgeville bank in a crowded f2p world. They're one of the more popular foods in the game, I managed to sell 6k the other day too. Like someone mentioned though, it's hard to break even if you're buying raws then cooking and selling on.
  10. Another high alching tip, it may sound really sensible and obvious, but I know of 2 people who managed to alch their weapons(one was a whip lol) during/after an alching session. So, if you ARE gonna alch and use a firestaff, make sure you put your weapon in the bank, usually I have nothing in my inv except natures and bows in the spot 'behind' the spell button. It's better be safe than sorry, so just don't take the risk.
  11. hmm, this means I'll have to draw a graph and work it out, not sure I even remember how to work out exponential formulae :? As for the ring of wealth, the thing is that everyone says it increases drops by 20%, but this probably derives from what jagex tells us, has anybody actually ever tested it? The people I've been debating it with, one of them got 2 d chains back to back dropped, and he wasn't wearing a wealth. Sure, he may have just been very lucky, but he actually seems to be a very lucky person, he gets lots of good drops and doesn't even wear a wealth anymore. Besdies, like I said, I could do with the stats practise.
  12. Firstly, do you play other games like console games and stuff and who buys those? Compare the price of one of those to the hours of play you get out of it, my working out says that for $5 a month runescape is like what; 17c a day? You could get at least an hour out of that, and even more on a day when you aren't busy. Secondly, are they in any way inclined towards computers, the internet, or gaming? Get them to actually play it somehow if they are, they might find they like it.
  13. I do believe you can also get tele'd for getting stuff wrong, such as the quizzes the certers give you about what item is it they're showing you, and wrong combination on that combination lock thing for the pirate.
  14. Ok ok, I know that tip.it has all the xp values for level boundaries on the site, but I can't for the life of me actually work out the formula used to calculate them(it looks like theres a formula to me anyway), and it's really bugging me. Does anyone know it? On another note, I've been having a debate with some people about whether or not the ring of wealth is actually effective, and am actually(yeah, sad and boring but I have alot of time on my hands and could do with the stats practise) considering testing it's effectiveness statistically. I'm gonna need to get people to help out though, such as a number of people wearing the ring and recording their drops from a certain monster, and a group not wearing it to contrast it to etc. Also, anybody who's good with statistics would be handy too, but I won't go into much detail here, as I think it would probably belong more in the P2P general forum. Just looking for some mod advice on where that would be best suited to going.
  15. Back to the original question at hand(i don't have a clue where the thieving comment/debate came into anything anyway). Here's something I heard but haven't tried, take a fly rod, tinderbox and hatchet(equip it to save space), and a good number of feathers, maybe around 300 to start off(will cost you around 1k from the shop maybe?). Then, go fish in lumby and when you fill up, cut a tree and light a fire to cook all you have, then pop over the bridge to the general store, sell all your fish and repeat. This will level your fishing and your cooking relatively cheaply, and fairly quickly compared to karamja fishing. If and when you reach around 70(I'd advise 74, because tip.it says thats the no burn), then start cooking lobs which you won't burn. You can buy these raw and sell on cooked, but it's quite easy to lose out on 50gp per lob. An alternative, but slightly slower method, would be to fly fish in barb village then bank your fish, bank it raw and cook it all later and sell it if you can. For both methods, use all the coins you get to buy more feathers from the fishing shop.
  16. I have some tiaras *nudge nudge wink wink* As for cosmic tallies, I remember when I first wanted one, and spent ages killing various things for them. Then a mysterious old man appeared and gave me one, about an hour later I fished one up in a casket, and a few hours after that I got one as a drop from something. Quite clearly, cosmic talismans are like buses. I'd have to say, I don't think I've ever gotten it as a drop from anything else, but usually from randoms such as the MoM. I think he's travelled runescape and hoarded them all.
  17. I didn't actually have much trouble with the demon, I cannoned him, it was all the stuff beforehand. I should have said it's the hardest quest ever if you don't know what you're doing, I had the help of some quest guides(a little shoddy and annoying though), and some people who'd done it already. I'd say ask some friends who've done it about it, if you do decide to that is. I'd recommend if you do decide to do it and use a guide, to use runehq's, it wipes the floor with tip.it's.
  18. Ok then, thanks for the advice guys.
  19. Just curious as to what people think I should train with, iron arrows and a yew short or iron knives instead? The knives are alot faster, but I'm wondering what is better in the tradeoff between speed and power.
  20. Consider if you buy the rings for 5k, you're gonna be putting an extra 35ish gp onto each bar's production cost. It's probably easier and quicker just to sell the ores instead.
  21. hero's is to wield d mace and dbaxe, to wield a long you need to do The Lost City, and for a scimmy you need to do monkey madness(hardest quest ever!)
  22. I method I have never actually tried, but ever considered abyss crafting chaos? You can just walk/run from the altar exit to the bank, and when you got through the chaos rift you end up right next to the dolmen thing, so you don't have to move all through the stupid chaos maze like if you entered through the altar.
  23. Well whats your stats, how much money you got, what weapons do you use at the moment etc? It's really more a choice up to you than anything else.
  24. Could try RCing as well, I think when I was f2p most of my income was from selling airs, it's slower than the iron method though. If however, you're planning to get memebers then it's handy to get 44 rc, which would be a byproduct of crafting airs for sale.
  25. lol. Ok thanks for the help guys, I'm gonna have to get big chompy hunting done soon then, but knowing my luck it'll require another quest I haven't done :(.
