I don't mind helping people, and I also hate the autoers. I aslo see some pmods who suck at what they do, and think I could do better. So I wouldnt mind being one, but no loss either way.

Well, I didnt really see much point to the article either it was just like 'amjor activity going down next week, jagex getting tighter, duke got banned'. The stuff about duke is news to me, I dropped of rs again a few months ago now after major connection issues. I also dont think his name should be removed from the article, because unlike naming names on the forum about people who action hasnt yet been taken against, duke has been tried(lol) and punished for what he did, and its cquite clearly true he did it(although i read it as 'once framed, now shamed' at first). He's held his hands up, and unless he has a major problem with his name being in there, I think it should stay, it also serves to point out that rule breaking is taken seriously, even against pmods. As for you Duke, I'd like to say I'm dissappointed in you, but I don't really think I am. If you'd broken any other rules, I probably would be, but you were just trying to make a bit of cash for the real world, and money is one of my favourite things. I just dont think jagex like the idea of people getting rich off their success, and it does put some players at a certain advantage. I myself have contemplated doing it, but never wanted to in case of getting banned, and all the problems which may arise from it as well in the real world trades and stuff. I get a feeling this topic may turn more into a topic about you, than about the article, because I didnt really see much of note in there. (as a side note, I'm actually curious as to how much you actually made from the whole thing, you could PM and tell me if you want *nudge nudge wink wink*).

I stopped playing(again) a while before this update occured, but it is possibly the most sucky way of solving the problem. Jagex suck, I'd rather have the autoers 'ruining' essence than have this forced upon us. The tip.it article gave much better solutions to the problem, Jagex have no sense. Honestly, they need to stop opposing tip.it(well, dunno if its still a bannable reference), and working with them. For all the people they employ, they dont seem to have any half decent ideas at all.

hi, dunno if this should be hereor elsewhere(feel free to move it), but I'm wondering how this essence update affects the game now? Have prices changed and that? I'm too busy to play at the moment, and didnt much over the last month cos AOL were playing up and I couldnt get on the lost all passion for it. But even so, I will probably play again sometime. I'm wondering how this change has affected things, does it mean that pure essence is only available on members servers now for a ridiculous price?

wow, looks like you put alot of thought into this. were you procrastinating away from real work? I tend to come up with all sorts of useful things when trying to avoid real work lol. I'm liking it, would be cool to see it in a calculator too, although, you do have to make allowances for the rude people who steal your arrows(i was training with bronze yesterday, and some 92 was picking them up lol).

Not neccesarily, what if they limited it only to the elemental staffs? And equiping too gives you no melee attacks? Even so, 3/4 elements, I'd say the most important is the air, so you'd then need a ton of air and chaos/mind/death etc.

talkers dont bother me much, but I can see why they arent allowed. a. people who dont use talkers are less likely to sell their goods than those who do, as they cannot get their message as publicised, and talkers will push it fast off the screen. How to remedy this? let everyone use them; b. not everyone will find a good one, if at all, some will be better than others possibly. This avenue also opens up the way to scammers and crackers to steal people's info and pass. so, there we go, my reasoning as to why. Like i said though, I wouldnt care cos I doubt I'd get done by any cracker scams.

I think it is a problem on AOL's part, something to do with their proxies or whatnot. ok, im bumping this in case anyone else is having the problems. I like the way the pking system(the wilderness basically) was made, as it is a very rare occasion when you'll HAVE to go into the wild. So if you dont like it, you can completely avoid it. Don't complain about it cos you go there to do something quicker/easier, its the risks involved. In fact, if it wasnt there, the quicker/easier way probably wouldnt exist either.

I just tend to think that they'll keep that stupid attitude and end up losing all their stuff, so they get what they deserved. Although one time a guy did fall for the password censor scam, and I told him he'd been done(i couldnt help but go peek in his account) and to change his password.

I've been able to get on, but I get dropped connection every minute or so(connection lost, attempting to re-establish), when i used to have bad lag, it'd just freeze a bit, then everything would happen quickly. My internet is aol broadband, and it isnt slow at all, I dont have problems with anything else but Runescape.

i prefer karma, its not like the idea of god where you get punished for not being religious enough or stuff like that. It's more of an option, if that makes sense, just saying what goes around comes around.

Yep, I tried all of those, old javas new javas clearing java cache, clearing cookies, clearing exploerer cache etc. None of them improved it from what I could tell. So in the end i just left it for a few hours and it eventually seemed to load, but I'm getting worried if this is gonna happen every time they update runescape. The extra files take ages to update too, i'm feeling pretty sure its something wrong on jagex's side(i havent played for 3months, but even so the updates shouldnt take so long).

I would be willing to bet that Zezima used some sort of macro in his career, even if just an auto-clicker or something. No, because JaGEx would be keeping a constant watch on him. They probably thought the same thing. For a start, if zezima was doing his own scripts, it'd be harder for them to pick him up. Secondly, they werent as watchful back then, when it was lesser of a problem. Thirdly, as with everything, its harder at first than it is when you get going, so once he had autoed a fair few levels or got some skills to 99, it was easier for him to get to other 99s. Fourthly, would jagex dare ban zezima? They say time is money, to jagex, our time is their money. They dont want people macroing cos they may get bored faster, they might feel it takes the fun out of the game, and um...they like money? They are trying to turn profit after all, and it wont work well if a person only stays as a member for a month or two, or dont become one because they can make tons of money in f2p. Then again, if macroing was allowed, no one would have an unfair advantage and the economy would be a bit more stable.

oh god, schools suck so much on that front. They're like 'wear your full uniform to and from school, shirt tucked in and blazer on, so you dont give it a bad impression' then if you asked 'but surely if we didnt wear our blazer they wouldnt know what school we are to give bad impression' they're just like '...' 'shut up and do it.'. So they dont want us to give the school a bad name, but they insist we must walk around showing that we go to that school. IDIOTS.

i was a proper rebel in year 7, which spilt over into year 8, then fizzled out cos they told me to sort my [cabbage] out, and told my parents to sort their [cabbage] of a son out. I dont regret any of it though. Once got in trouble(with my mate at the time, we got into trouble together, and he usually got into more than me) for making spitballs(yeah, its gross, but it was like 11), then got a detention and told to clean up the p.e cupboard. About a week later got in trouble for stealing tennis balls whilst cleaning the place up(they were red ones!). Got in trouble once for writing on desks about each other wanted to perform illicit acts with mothers/teacher. It was found, funniest thing was the teacher taking us into the corridor then shouting it out loud at the top of her voice what it said. plus she was canadian(nothing wrong with canadians, but it was just a novelty thing in school). Once, i swear I got in trouble for nothing, and the teacher did the cruelist thing to me for detention. He forced me to sit and watch the clock until it was finished. I wasnt allowed to look away, or do anything else. He's a funny man though, had him later on and was wicked lessons.
