If you could change 3 things.....
1. GET RID OF STUPID TEAM CAPES!! and give runescapers a proper clan system. set it so that clan members can be tagged with a special symbol or abbreviation next to their name. clan members appear a different color dot on your minimap and you cant attack a clanmate unless you rightclick to attack. team capes are a horrible excuse for a decent clan system which is long overdue in this game 2. make the message system in the game so people can leave offline messages for their friends. either make use of a mail-man npc that would drop the note in your inventory, or you could visit the mailman npc when you get to the town to check your new messages, depending on the urgency of the message 3. perhaps letting f2p get to wear the colored capes and boots from canifis. i mean they can already wear the gloves, so whats he big deal?

will the 99 stat be the limit for all skills PERMANENTLY?
the problem is that people like zezima and others who are already well past 13m exp will already be at level 100 in most skills, and would hit level 100 in every skill in about a month. then what? raise all again? nearly all the players who have a lot of level 99's have been playing for 4+ years. if after 4 years youve exhausted everything the game has to offer, then, realistically, its time to move on. you're 4 years older, and you have seen and done everything. then, raising skills to level 100 make no sense. what could we possibly smith that needs higher skills than for a rune plate? the only thing that can be done is what jagex is already doing. expanding the game by adding new quests and areas. people that have 99 in all skills dont need more skills, theres no point to training and leveling beyond that. new monsters and minigame challenges, thats better than level 100 stats

Falador's er, nice change.
i think its a great update, even for p2p. one of the best thinks is the rebuilt barbarian village. theres no more fence on the west side so you can run from edgeville bank to the body altar or dwarf mines a lot quicker. the white in falador, meh, not really an improvement, just a change does anybody know if they got rid of the coal rocks near barb village? i know they put the tin rocks in the middle and took down the little lookout tower, and the coal isnt were it used to be. btw, the barbarians look awesome now. thats the best thing about the update imo

Your level history.
pre-game and tutorial island - totally fascinated by the idea of mining and smithing to make my own armor and weapons and selling to others. yeah im gonna be the l33t!! 3-5 died in al kharid mines to stupid scorpions. got help from an old friend and learned to use shops and spawn spots to be an independent noob 5-20 kicked some serious goblin butt. trained smithing and loved it. collected a lot of bolts and kinda liked ranging, but not really 20-45 wreaked havoc in barbarian village. picked up runecrafting and murdered some barbarians with fire strike. still going strong with the smithing 45-55 discovered that lazy people + cowhides = money for full rune!! made a killing with cows, literally. did all free quests, klled elvarg with my trusty crossbow! 55-75 trained ranging to 41, then realized that ranging totally sucks in f2p so totally abbandoned it. got my smithing up to a respectable lvl 48 and realised NOBODY buys full steel armors. damit. at this point i had totally exhausted everything f2p had to offer 75-88 (present) joined members, upped my runecrafting, smithing now at 70 thanks to gold mines in keldy. so much ive done in those last few levels. right now learning the fine art of fletching as a serious way to make money, for my whip

Guide to 1-Item objects (ed. Jul 2006) (AOW Discussion)
this is an excellent guide!! i'm a big fan of duplicating items. look in my sig i made a guide to going f2p fom members. duplicating your items does more than just keep your bank layout neat! i have an addition for you. Golden Helmet - withdraw your helmet and enough gold bars to make the amount of helmets you need. each helmet requires 3 gold bars. take a hammer and telegrab runes and go to any anvil and drop your helmet, then use a gold bar with the anvil. make a helmet , drop it and repeat. then telegrab the helmets off the ground, it wont let you pick them up nice work. this will be very useful for me

guide to going f2p with a full bank (AOW discussion)
well yeah, rune battle axe is my weapon of choice, but i dont really train melee in f2p. but theres still a lot that i do in f2p, like mining and crafting, or gathering materials. plus you never know when youll have to pull out that scimmy even if youd rather use the whip im back in members again, but i'm thinking i can schedule my jobs so that at the end of each month i can turn off membership for a while. right now my bank is near full but theres no real reason to need to clear out anything. plus, now im duplicating even my member items, because i'm really hooked on my bank staying arranged the way i like and dont like to sort things back when i take something out

Has Everyone Got These Types Of Sig.'s?
i like stat skills because at a glance i can see a players rsn and combat level, especially if i'm meeting them for a trade, this is useful to know. also, it gives you an idea if the person is a member, a pure, or what skills they are high in. you can also compare your stats to theirs, for the little ego boost it gives you to think your pixels are better than somebody else's :P

easiest to hardest skill to level up
i made a list of all the skills in runescape based on how many players achieved level 99 in that skill. my reasoning is that if lots of people have lots of experience in a skill, then its an easy skill to level up. if you disagree, state why here are the skills, in order of how many players are at lvl 99, as of today strength: 3106 attack: 2892 hitpoints: 2653 fletching: 2079 defence: 1950 cooking: 1761 ranged: 1312 woodcutting: 729 magic: 633 fishing: 276 firemaking: 250 smithing: 199 thieving: 170 mining: 149 prayer: 52 crafting: 49 agility: 35 slayer: 29 runcerafting: 29 herblore: 27 farming: 17 as you can see, strength is the easiest skill to level, in fact all the melee combat skills have a large number of 99 players. from prayer to farming are clearly the hardest skills to level any thoughts?

Woodcutting guild.
this is a terrible idea. arent there enough trees in runescape? you have every type of tree in seers village area, except maybe hollow trees. plus there are magic trees in gnome stronghold and yews in dozens of free and member areas. its not like mining where only one person can get ore from a rock, lots of ppl could chop at a tree and everybody gets logs. compare how many magic trees in the game to how many rune rocks. why in the world should wc be even easier than it already is?

elemental staves vs battle staves
a regular magic staff gives you 10 mage def and att bonus as well. on most occassions youre gonna use your staff because of the unlimited rune supply and magic bonus, not because youre gonna thump your monster over the head with it. you might as well pull out a regular melee weapon i suppose the other advantage is the speed which i didnt think about. it hits as fast as bare-handed combat which is always a plus, but not really that big of an advantage. i think ill stick to my regular elemental staff then....

gambling!
lottery works by combinations and probablity (strap on your math helms of geekness). there are 13 types of runes from airs to soul. if 5 are randomly selected there are 154,440 possible winning combinations. if you were to buy every possible combination at 20gp each, it would cost over 3.08mil. nobody will spent over 3 mil to guarantee they win 100k. not just that, but any noob with 20gp could just as easily get the winning ticket, so buying more would make your chances better, but not really actaully, you could easily increase all the prizes 5 times, making the jackpot half a mil. and it would still be profitable for the game

Fletching for f2p- a way to make this work
the only way this could work is if each person's clicks can be converted to member credits. so 20 clicks would mean 1 day membership, and so on. then you could click as much as you want and play as a member for as long as you have member credits. then you could "buy" more credit by clicking the ads some more the only way this will work is if the clicks force you to either sign up for something or buy something. jagex only gets a commission from advertisers when people click through and actually make a purchase. and making a purchase is going to require a creditcard anyway. so you rather buy useless junk like an aol subscription or diet pills just so you can play for free? you might as well pay the membership fee...

Fletching for f2p- a way to make this work
there are 2 kinds of worlds. member worlds, and free worlds. for each type of world there are dedicated servers that you can log into. you cannot use member items on free worlds, and you cannot do member actions or visit member areas on free worlds if you only pay for fletching, then you cant use your fletching items on a free world, since they are member items. you cant sell unstrung bows in a free world shop, for example. but your are not a full-fledged member either, so you cant log into a member server. this means that jagex will have to add partial pay servers in every city on the world select page. hundreds of new dedicated servers with limited member actions, simply for the handfull of people that only want to pay $1 or $2 per month think about it. this is will jagex lose money. why would they want to do this?

elemental staves vs battle staves
yeah but you dont use magic staves to do melee battle anyway. the rock golem example is a good exception, but if im going to melee i grab my d long or b axe (till i get my whip). a rune long is wack as a weapon, unless youre a pk pure with 1 attack, then a mystic battlestaff makes no sense at all as a melee weapon. for regular use, such as casting spells, there is no advantage to wielding a battlestaff over a regular zaff staff. you get same magic bonuses and defense bonuses, and as a melee weapon the regular cheap is not that bad anyway

from 1gp to a mill f2p
buy a bronze pick for 1 gp. then mine 25k ess and sell for 40gp each

Odd item combinations
f2p makes chocolate cake with choclate dust, in case you didnt know but seriously, you can combine cabbage with cooked chicken. anybody experiment to see what other foods can be combined?
-
elemental staves vs battle staves
what is the point of elemental battle staves and mystic staves? do people actually use them for melee battle? the regular elemental staves give the same magic offense and defense, as well as slash, crush and stab def bonuses are the same for all. whats the point of the expensive battle staves and mystic staves then? (besides lava and mud, of course)

guide to going f2p with a full bank (AOW discussion)
lol yeah i accidentally withdrew all my gp! one of those dumb things i warn people not to do. i let a clanmate hold it for me and i had to play out the rest of my f2p time moneyless. well i could alch a few plates or something if i needed money right away, then id buy junk at the store or drop the rest lol anyway im a member now but i might have to cancel soon so at least i have my gp back

top 5 POH features?
pick your own ammenities! cool 1 bank chest 2 range 3 anvil 4 spinning wheel 5 flax in the back yard
-
What do you consider yourself?
im a better thief in rl that in game. id also be good with my hands, crafting, smithing, and enough magic to enchant and high alch, but not necessarily a warlock. i'd be an adventurer when i wanted to take a break from my crafting/smithing work

more bankspace?
enchant your jewelry. unenchanted jewelry is useless (except maybe for some quests) i think we need a guide on replacing lost quest items, and maybe one on organizing your bank
