  1. Well, I have been wondering why my pixle art is not the same quality as my hand drawn art, and it hit me, Most pixelers take weeks or even months to finish their peices, and it takes me a few hours at most. I was not taking my time. I would get lazy and jsut try to finish as soon as possible, which greatly hurt my quality. So, I am making a new peice, that I am taking my time on, and seeing the result, so far I am very pleased. My anatromy is not perfect right now, but it would smooth out during the singeutre making process..o.0, I will be adding legs next update  anyways...... Update, changed the anatomy and fixed the sheild. Added legs  , character 2 too come once character 1 is perfect...then background. Not sure what it is, I'm wrestling between two torags warriors standing like body gurads next to a person in the generic rich person stuff, with a pile of riches, but tha seems a bit cliche, or some sort of fighting scene.... anyways... Update, I fixed up anatomy, and added some texture to the armor, changed the arm, used alot of GS's advice to fix up anatomy, fixed boots... Added a few more colors... coming along nicly, might finish by the end of the week, doubtful though.. Update, messed around with anatomy now, much more realistic I'm thinking.. I am having problems making the armor look more like armor, but i textured a bit more anyway....I also fixed (our) left foot, it looked odd...I will probably start character 2 soon... I have been pixelling alot today, which is why there are so many updates.. Update.... I added a dragon  ..I have decided the background will be an arena, where the torags person is preparing to fight the dragon..... This is just the starting on the dragon, It will be finished soon.. Update.. Walls! I have added the start of the arena background, the bricks are a pain, but they look nice so it's worth it, havent pixeled much today, so I havent done much... I also fixed some small anatomy problems. if you read this post, please at least leave a comment, I would really like C/C.

  6. these scenes are perfect ofr an RPG game..make it and i will totally subscribe :P , looking great and im suprised at how many your are churning out..o.0
  7. amazing, and it is good to see you back at TIF, I love your work and dont see uch of it on pixelation...at least the posts i look at I dont
  8. I would make the feet smaller, the character looks kinda like a kangaroo right now
  9. well, I like the signeture, and I like the colors. but some of the brushing around the render is too harsh, it does not fit with the rest of the brushing and the render. I would not have chosen that render, becasue her face is a little odd, but its works wells enough. Also, please remember that Cad's guide, although a very good style, is not the only way to make signetures, try and expand your horizones a little. Anyway, an overall good job :)
  10. that signeture looks fine without a render, dont add one. for fonts, I use... Dafont
  11. Not my sprite... :wall: :wall: My sprite looks like crap thrown at a fan... I can only wish i drew that well he he, oh
  12. We do not mean to flame, we try and help you, but I guess you look at it wrong, and if you want to see my work, look around the gallery, look at all my posts........we aree not vultures, agian, we are trying to help you improve, do not post here if you are not prepared to take criticism.
  13. do not bite somebodies head off because they give you critcism, if you wanted a pat on the back, with your art looking like that, do not take it here, possibly take it to a preschool teacher or something....do not get offended when people post C/C, its there to help you improve, not insult you... now for my C/C Anatomy- The anatomy on these pictures are barley resembeling human. This may seem harsh, but it is true. None of the characters have necks, and their arms are to short. Arms usually fall near the mid thigh, not the mid chest.... Study an online anatomy guide or book, these help tremendously, I say this alot, but it is true. Shading- The only shading I see, berley constitues pillow shading. A small line of darker color around the edge of a image doe not constitue shading. Look at something in real life, and study how the colors shift from one to another, and try to mimic that in your work. Use lighter and darker shades, and use them in a way that looks realistic. Do not jsut go from lighter to darker to the center of an image, this is pillow shading, and it does not show much effort behind the work. Chose a light sorce and shade in occurance to that. If none of this makes since, look at some of Tip.It's guides in the Gallery FAQ, or google a pixeling guide. Linework- Work on the smoothness of the lines, and the resembelence to real life. A mans arm is not squiggely, it is smooth. In this art, you define muscles as a horizontal line across the chest with a vertical line through the center. This might be acceptable for a robot, but not for a human. I will draw a little sketch of a little bit more how it should be (agian, a anatomy book will help) I fixed up anatomy, it is not perfect, but it shows you the basic idea. now, practice, practice, practice, and you will improve :) and by the way, I am 13, and I DO NOT do art like that, age is not an excuse.
  14. hey Nazgul, I see you finally got the sprite down  , nice linework, dont mess it up with crappy shading.
  15. I was not very happy with the hand, or the eyes.......I didnt notice the mouth though, so thanks :)
  16. yeah i tohuhgt that too......
  17. uhh either "straps" in refernce to the armor, or the muscle between your shoulders and you neck..or both :D
  18. made some changes from LG's suggestions, added alot more dark shading so it would survive scanning, and messed around with the face, still not sure if i got anywhere..anyways...
  19. add a moat, what good is a draw bridge without a moat filled with vicous crocodiles? edit- upon further inspection..you do indeed have a moat  but still no crocodiles..o.0
  20. well, get maybe...5 different blue colors that are lighter and darker than that one, and shade normally, except with your lightest tone being very light, as to replicate..shiney-ness....and dont dither metal....jsut learned that this week...it rduces the "shiny-ness" of the metal. I doubt i explained it in way that makes alot of sense, and Im sorry, its kinda hard for me to explain :x
  21. Ahh the wonders of bordum, jsut decided to draw Naruto, no reference used.....C/C please? sadly...the shading was pretty much lost and the quality was lost a bit in the scanning  but you can still see what it is...so C/C please...agian  \ \ X2.....
  22. Alright, I guess, but there are multiple things I can point out.... -Anatomy- this is a huge problem for like...everyone :x , look at anatomy books, or guides online, that will help you get a basic idea of human anatomy. -Anatomy in detail- the arms, they look more like sausages rather than arms. Try adding more shape, by adding muscles, and elbows. There is no muscle defination currently, which makes the character look like he is wearing a shirt under the armor, which assuming you followed the usual guidelines of veracs, is not so. The hand holding the whip, it does not look like they character if actually holding it, more like clenching it between his thumb and his index finger. ill do a quick sketch of how I would have draw it... now this is far from perfect, but it should give you a basic idea of how to draw it.... -Shading- there is none of it in this picture, if you do not like shading with colored pencil, you can always shade with a normal pencil, using different pressures on the paper, you will get different shades, which is good for shading practice. Or, you can just practice shading with colored pencils.. Thats all my C/C for now, good luck :)
  23. ha ha nice avvy Ter, I saw it on Pixelation, but I didnt comment.....sorry for off topicness..o.0
  24. Thanks
