The lineart is solid. But, the shading doesn't hold up to the style. Google pokemon sprite sheets, and study the actual style of shading.

Yeah, at first I hadn't intended to do any shading, just AA, but then I did a tiny bit, but felt to lazy to actually texture the thing. Thanks for the comments :D

the hair is pillow shaded, and the rest isn't shaded at all. Nice lines, though.

Right, it's been a while, but I have another peice for you all. Today I was bored, and I started doodling on paint. After 15 minutes or so, some inspiration popped into my head, and this little guy came about. He is very small, but he is one of my favorite peices to date. I used 5 colors for the whole peice. 3/4 of an hour spent on it, I will probably not go much further with this peice.

You use to many unoticable able colors, which in essence wastes them. Zoom out to 100% and look at the image, if you can't tell a color is there, remove it.

Anatomy, Saturation, Attention to detail, Shading, and Origionality, are all things you could use to work on. Look at other pixle art, and use that for reference to practice with. Practice your lineart, just do some doodles to get used to doing lineart. I would also recommend going outside of runescape forums for pixelling advice, if you want to be serious, find a pixling forum, you will get better critiques there.

More contrast would be nice, more contrast in all of your work would be nice...Alright pixle other than that, I suppose.

The first 3 are very nice, the transparent one, is painful. It looks like screap metal thrown across the signeture, I would suggest removing it. The rest of them, are quite nice, I sated before, though.

Nice, but the face could use more definition. Right now, it looks unfinished. Use a smaller brush and do touch ups until it looks perfect. Right now, it looks like you have the basic colors down, and you jsut need to refine the peice. You still have some work to do, but it's getting there :) EDIT- I jsut counted your colors, and came up with 229, not counting the text. That is alot for any peice. I would try cutting it down to at least 100, if not less. It can be done, all you need to do is remove colors that are almost the same, especially on the skin, I see alot of tones that are basically the same, get rid of those, nand maybe dither where needed to make up for those tones. You dont need as many tones on the guitar either. Or the clothes..jsut go through and eliminate tones.

The fire needs to be more saturated, and your peice in all needs higher conrast..the face could use another highlight tone aswell. EDIT:damn Terley beat me too it :oops:

1.Yes it is worth it. 2. Well, I use a Wacom graphire 4x5', it is small, but gets the job done, and the size is kinda irrelevent, because you can scroll the screen o.0, anyways a 4x5 is about $100 usd. 3. I got used to the pen within 3 minutes of downloading the software, the only real difference from conventional drawing on pencil and paper, is you are looking up at the screen instead of at the paper. 4. To digipaint, I use photoshop CS, but with a Wacom you get Adobe photoshop elements, which may work 5. It is not technically nesscicary, but it makes things easier. All in all, I reccomend getting one :)

The cars probably have had their colors redcued when saving in GIF, and dietokill has a bad record of ripping, constantly producing the same quality stuff even when people try so hard to help him out, and appears to not listen to anyone....

These appear to be screenshots of cars, with a monotone background, and a boring animation, put more effort into your work, if you want positive comments here, or any art related board, put effort into your work. I don't even know why people bother to C/C this, whenever we do, you rip a peice and say you "improved" but when you show your actualy work, it is the same bad quality.
