  1. A little progress... Inb4ruinedagilepurebutitsokbecausetheysuck
  2. 1) I'm pretty sure you can find un maxed players looking to box, although they may be a bit scarcer. 2) From my experience mage boxing... 99 mage is a definite must, 99 HP is very important, although less important than magic (no science or anything to back that up, just from experience) and I don't think defense is important at all. Magic defense isn't calculated by defense levels. 3) There is a strategy which will in theory guarantee profit. For this strategy, every time you lose, you double your next stake to cover the cost of the loss and to earn profit. The assumption is that in a game of 50-50 odds (fairly accurate for duals, mage boxing at least) you will win eventually, and if you've been doubling your bet each time you lose, whenever you finally do win you're guaranteed to earn back every thing you've lost and then some. However, this method is only truly guaranteed to work if the staker has access to literally unlimited amounts of GP, which is of course impossible. Furthermore, this technique should be used with caution, because the wagers will increase expenintially, making it painfully easy to have to stake more than your entire bank's worth to make up for your losses (for instance, starting at only a 100k stake, if you lost 10 times in a row you would have to make a stake of over 50 mill)
  3. I don't know if this helps, but whenever I need to recover an account in the "additional info" section, I talk about how I would like to renew my subscription, but only on the account I need to recover, and if I can't I'll have to move onto another game... works every time. Extortion ftw.
  4. Those were the days. I think also adding to the problem is that people expect things on the GE to buy instantly, and if they don't they just bump up the price. With new pures having access to their main's wealth through free trade, gp isn't as important as having a complete book to some, so they're willing to pay obscene amounts to get their pages instantly. Couple that with lowered rates for pages from clues, and it's no wonder why the prices have shot up.
  5. Yeah. they'll never see me in my polar camo.... Spot the glitch.
  6. d'you remember when fighter torsos got nerfed and everyone raged?... D'you remember when scimitars looked badass?
  7. erm.... I don't think this is good proof that jagex is doing something about bots, I think its more proof that some one writing the scripts for said bots dun goofed.
  8. Simple solution: Stake. Inb4cleaned
  9. Hi I like to keep posting the same joke everyone else has felt the need to post over and over again. Basically, to 33 you should do tears of guthix. Lol am I funny now? On Topic- Isn't it a bit sad that Jagex expects people to explain their game better than they can?
  10. I dunno if I'd say I "used" it, but I was inspired by it. I was considering that, but if I decide turmoil is worth it, I'll just get turm and become a zerker. Really, an agile pure intrigued me enough to want to try it out, but I'm not totally set on the idea forever. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm going to just become a zerker down the road, once I have the requirements for curses done.. then I'll probably give in and do defender of varrock
  11. Been a bit bored on Duggin lately, instead, this is what I've been working on. Agility came a lot quicker than I expected, I managed to get at least a level a day from 70 onwards, and after 75 ape atoll was a breeze. Working on barrows gloves and fire cape next.
  12. :ohnoes: By "some profile data" they mean "everything"
  13. You have a wikipedia page? If you've got information about yourself online, it might not be a bad idea to set random passwords or letters or something as the answers to your recovery questions, instead of actual information. Write them down or save them onto your computer, then you can have them but they'll be difficult to guess.
  14. It probably won't be a big deal, from 45 defense, I think you get something like 48-50 defense if you decide down the road that you want to unlock curses, which isn't a HUGE deal, it'll probably bump you up a combat or two, but really that's only a big deal to perfectionists. Functionally, you'll probably be okay.
  15. I'd like to think Jagex won't forget about untradeables, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did... Personally, I don't really like this update. Jagex seems to have been doing their best to "dumb down" runescape which is impressive because well.. it's runescape, which is already pretty dumbed down. Part of the risk of dying should be that you can't always keep the items you want. With this new system, there's no penalty for dying which I think is silly. Dying should have at least SOME negative ramifications, even if you DC or whatever, that's all part of the game. In fact, it's a driving force in the game, and I think it should stay that way. And, I'm trying to get some wicked sweet lootz from gravestones.
  16. Dyou mean like.. cool to everyone else in RS or actually... cool?
  17. Its not too difficult to notice a difference on a screen you see very regularly, so when he logged in I imagine the different IP stood out before he logged in.
  18. Its generally agreed that ahrims is better for bursting because the 30% bonus doesn't apply to all of the lobsters, it applied only to the single lobster you attack, which means over all, you're getting a smaller boost with void than with ahrims. However, a case can also be made for battle robes which when worn with an SoL reduce the rune use by approximately 50%, which is pretty good if you're worried about reducing cost. Either way, don't use mage void. From what I've seen, it's always worse than ahrims.
