  1. As Venomi said, dithering was a technique developed to reduce colores, while still having smooth transitions in shading. It is usfule to smoothen out transitions in tone, but not always nesscecary, use dithering where is is nesscecary in a peice to smoothen out the transitions, and use normal shading when it is not nesscecary. Now, do not do what I have a tendency to do, and go crazy with dithering (I tend to forget it's not needed, and jsut go wild  ) use it here and there. Also, dithering is a good technique to add texture to things. Look up the different types of dithering, because there are many. EDIT- did some mess with the filter to change "t" "h" "e" to teh? :x EDIT EDIT- the the the the yep, it appears that way :x EDIT EDIT EDIT-nevermind, april fools is t3h suxz0rs k@y nu85?
  2. Please tell you are are a new account on TIF for R2P....cause if not..that is the worst rip ever.
  3. The face could be ALOT more symmetrical. The lips are too small, the nose is too big. This looks like it could turn out nice...Keep working on it..
  4. If you actually made that, excellent. Is it made in Terragon?
  5. Well, I finally bouhgt a tablet, and needed to get used to it....3 minutes..not really very accurate, but it was jsut a fun little doodle \ ... I need to work on my signeture.
  6. Mmmm I like it, I make the farther back mountains less opaque to make it look like it has more depth. But, seeing this really gets me excited, I can almost afford mine
  7. You got hacked? that sucks.. add fatal--fear, if you're on in the next hour or so. I'll give you a little bit to help you out...
  8. Not much to comment on right now, maybe do a little more beofre asking for comments...
  9. The trunk is very nice, but the leaves are terrible. It looks as if you took an already done tree, and added a hideous green color ontop of the already colors leaves. Which, might I point out, seriously makes me doubt you actually made it. IF you did, apologies. In reference to the leaves, don't use the suqare brushes in paint, they aren't good for finished peices, they are decent for blocking out colors, but not completed works. Also, I like the fadatar..
  10. I do appreciate your imput, but I do not plan on changing the pallete, I am trying to keep a low color count, and the rest of the colors I will need I am saving for AA and the hair. IN fact, I am quite fond of the pallete, but I still apreciate your comment.
  11. Yeah, ALOT of dithering
  12. The messed up head shape, is my hair line :-P...I have'nt done the eyebrows yet, or the hair, they are going to be the worst parts. Anyways, comments, advise is welcome, thanks :)

  18. Been a while since I posted any work here, so I decided to post my most recent peice. I've been working on it for about a week now, and I am loving how it's turning out. It even looks a bit like me! :P Anyways, here it is, I am dreading doing the hair :x not to many colors, but I lost track of them...
  19. excellent. It made me laugh :)
  20. Did you intend to attempt A/A? ANyways, pretty neat for a first, but the character looks a little flat.. and the whips look like coils of rope..
  21. mm the giraffe looks more like a girelephant. anyways, nice job so far.
  22. Ah HA! its not jsut me
  23. now that the armor is all metal, make it look like metal! Anyways, I think changing to rune was a good idea, considering the texturing of all that granite would be aggravating..
  24. apologies, I edited this to look like steel...but it does show contrast, and if you want to convey rock, texture it, but lumps and make it look not smooth, like a brick.... I fiddeled with the pallete and removed some unused colors (you had far to many colors for the dragon helmet). If you cannot tell the color is there when you zoom out, it is not nesscecary.
  25. your peices still lack contrast, if you dont mind, Ill make an edit to show you what I mean...
