I love it!! The colors of the terrain are veyr nice...not too saturated and bright enough to keep your attention. I like how the characters contrast with the background...the black outlining on them is nice, too. I love how you have comic book / RPG expressions like the (!) and (?). Great!!

im guessing your not working in tiles looking through your progress, I personally think working with tiles is loads of fun and breaks it down into easy to do chunks.. looks like a great interpretation of runescape all the same. :

These games usualy have better storylines and community than the overrated ones such as *cough*runescape.

Seeing as GS got the idea for this pixel from a past stlye. (the bajillions of top down games)

 

 

 

Even if eckered did get the inspiration to try to do it from seeing GS's piece, the product would still be from the top down game genre.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And observe and try to manipulate it through his own workings is exactly what eckered is doing.
