See that's a good reason to negotiate your pocket money ;) I finished in the top 15% of the state. :( Nobody cared really except me. Oh well. Maybe you could point out "positive reinforcement" to them. Tell them that it hurts your feelings that they don't praise you when you do well but they get on your back when you do poorly. Let them read all about it and discover for themselves that they're really screwing with your self esteem etc

I'm saying the exact opposite #-o I've already answered this question last time but you didn't get it. You don't understand the concept of being "anti" or "pro". If you are anti abortion, then that means you are marching the streets protesting, which leads to anger, hate, sometimes even violence. If you are pro life then that means you don't agree with abortion and would never do it yourself, but don't contribute to the negativity that is going on. Instead, you choose to peacefully forward your beliefs generation after generation. You would also seek other methods of peacefully resolving the issue instead of closing down the hospital. If you were against rape then once again if you are out there marching the streets protesting, contributing to the hate, negativity, some of it might even once again break out in violence you are yet again contributing to negative factors. If you were to be against rape and want to get your point across without making other people suffer then you would do something peacefully such as getting signatures to pass through parliament, you would be educating, you would be teaching moralities to your generation which is making a difference without the negativity. So it is not encouraging rape. You can be totally against something in two separate ways. You can be anti abortion, which is out there contributing to the negativity. Or you can be pro life, which means you are still against abortion but making the change peacefully. It works both ways you know, the people who are out there protesting for freedom of speech etc when they can just be "pro choice" by discovering other methods to get their point across without the negative attributes attached to it. That being said, we can now remove the "right" and "left" wing labels attached to it. Because it goes both ways. And it does seem to me that you are "pro life" because you do agree that closing down the hospital would be horrible and I don't think you are out there being all negative. So there is nothing to be defensive about, I just think you and I had a bit of a misunderstanding.

Many people agreed to the hospital closing down which is contributing to the threats/deaths and the other bs that goes with it. Many are also preaching that they are pro life. Pro life begins with yourself and your generations. Not out in the streets and taking it out on others over a government decision. They are not pro life, they are anti abortion. If you don't belong in this segment of people, then it doesn't even make sense for you to open your mouth in the first place :wall: By the way, no you don't know what I was saying because your answer in response was horribly incorrect and completely out of context with what was written. I could also be a b*tch and point out which of your posts are poorly worded (there are plenty), but I choose not to. This is thread about abortion, not any other nonsense. So you obviously have no clue what the difference is between "anti" and "pro". This clarifies a lot.

No. They aren't pro anything. Pro-life and pro-birth don't resort to violence or threats. Pro-life and pro-birth make the change silently within themselves, stick to their own morals, teach it to their generations and aren't out in the streets preaching to others or contributing to the mess. They are anti-abortion.

40 dollars for lunch? Where the hell are you dining? lol the only time I'd give my son 40 dollars for lunch is if I'm taking the family out to a fancy restaurant. 40 bucks can get food for the whole family plus change if you play your cards right lol (plus putting money away in his secret account each week until he turns 25 that he won't know about) that's probably why he said no. I do think it's petty though that they complained you got an 88 on your report card. I would reward my son for that kind of grade. What kind of a rant was it? If it was referring to the lunch, I agree with him. As for spending money on cigars and diet pepsi, it's his money he does get to decide what he spends it on, so I wouldn't even bring that up or whatever you're trying to negotiate isn't even going to be heard. It will just end off going in to some kind of rant about "this is my house, my rules, don't like it then get out." If you approach your family and ask to negotiate pocket money for chores, I'm sure you can meet at least half way. I got 20 bucks a week when I was a teenager and I didn't really have to do much for it either, some dishes and clean the bathroom once a week. Also got 20 bucks per A I got in year 10, sent my dad broke. Hell, even my fiance's 13 year old brother negotiated $10.00 an hour.

Multitask - I can manage both plus more : Not until he's 13 - Brent and I have already established this ;) Here is Raiden's 1st birthday present.... her name is going to be "mika" (meeka - Brent picked it)

LOL... I'm not going to share my thoughts but I don't think it's possible to think that your own child is ugly. Bias does get in the way.

Psychiatrically, anxiety works (although is not defined) like this: First you start neutral for example when sleeping, then something stressful happens and you deal with it okay, then something stressful happens, you start to become a little irritable, then something stressful happens, you start to become a little more talkative than usual, once again when you apply the stress you become a little aggressive, then the tiniest little thing that causes stress will then result in an instant SNAP (but at all times you are aware that things have been bugging you and you have no de-stressed). Then that person feels guilty, can't believe they did what they did, feels remorse, goes from being aggressive and back to being reserved. If it were a preexisting psychological condition her family nor her friends would have known, after all they're not professionals. Generalized anxiety is "shy", "reserved", "can't talk to others easily", "feels uneasy in social situation" etc they're symptoms of different type of anxiety. What I described, is exactly how all anxiety works (minus the added symptoms to distinguish between types). I know quite a few people who suffer from anxiety and I can safely tell you that unless you asked, you wouldn't have a clue. In some cases it can be next to impossible to pick it from the outside. They don't even mention this in most text books (as I'm sure you're aware text book knowledge and application of knowledge is completely different... as an example "insomnia" is a symptom of bi-polar disorder but it does not go in to deeper behavioural knowledge of application that it's actually insomnia for weeks or even months of a time of literally not sleeping at all). It's something you learn on the job and when you get in to clinical practice. It's much more complex than what you're taught or read about. That's why it is diagnosed by psychiatry and not psychology nor counselling. As recapped by someone with over 40 years experience. Depends which therapeutic stance you choose to use. Many cognitive behavioural therapists would argue that you can break the anxiety cycle by recognizing or unintentionally recognizing the symptoms. A person with anxiety can go through life with very few "snaps" by simple things in life such as meditation, yoga, tai chi and other calming activities. If there was an activity she engaged in outside of the childcare that she found relaxing, it would reset the triggering. For example, perhaps she was at the stage where she was becoming very talkative. Then she went home, engaged in a relaxing activity and so her anxiety was reset back to neutral. I also don't recall saying "she has the inability to cope with stress", if I have I apologize, that isn't what I meant. I do remember saying "If you have the inability to cope with stress, don't apply" but that is talking about people who can't handle stresses in general. I also remember saying she seems to have the "inability to cope well in stressful situations." Which are all very different from what you're saying. There is always a point before a snap where you realize something is bugging you. If you do not take advantage of that point, ignore the warning bells then you are definitely at fault. People who "snap" know they have problems and should sort them out. Even if they've never snapped before, it doesn't take rocket science to look back in to your history or feelings. It is installed in every person who walks this Earth. I could be wrong about something being pre-existing (I don't think either of us is actually going to know unless we happen to be inside her head) but I still think it is a possibility. And if it is a correct possibility I hope she is trialed fairly. Oh side note - you should try using super glue and touching the bed cover (no not literally but I did it by accident) IT BURRRRRRNNNNNSSSS! :( Anyway this has gone quite tangent and am more than happy to discuss it via PM. I'm glad I finally found someone on here who also has experience and knowledge in the field. I'm sure we could learn a lot from one another.

I can perform a 10 second cost-free swift kick to your nads to prevent you from having any if you like :P

Met a lady named Karylin whose father died today. Her mother is having a difficult time paying for the funeral costs so have offered to do a few jewellery parties with her friends and let her keep the profits. It won't be enough to cover the funeral but hopefully it'll be enough to make a bit of a difference :(

I agree with your concept if there is another hospital available within the community within a reasonable distance. But I don't think it would work with the law. And suicidal people want to die so that's not the best comparison.

Fighting murder with murder even when violence isn't presentable is still murder. You still have the same result, DEATH. If I had all the answers then I would be the new president. But it is well known that being anti anything creates more of what you're protesting about. You only have to look back on the centuries and centuries of looking at anti anything. Mother Teresa is a smart woman. She declared that she would never be seen at an anti war rally. If there were a celebration for "pro life" she would be the first person there. I'm not saying it is the answer, but something that hasn't been tried yet is an answer. They could still work in the hospital and ask not to perform abortions. Doing their part by sticking to their morals. It's perfectly worded only you just don't grasp the concept. If you're being pro something you would be pro it's opposite :wall:
-
No, I believe anyone who doesn't agree with something so strongly should fight for it. But fighting war with war or fighting murder with murder is NOT the answer. If you look at the world today and it's history, a 13 year old could come to that conclusion. Being anti ANYTHING creates more of it!!
-
Even for arguments sake it was murder anyone with half a brain knows that you can't stop murder by threatening to also murder (shut down their hospitals and leave their patients stranded.) At the end of the day they're contributing to the problem of murder 110% MORE. Refer to the above. They are either equally or more violent by retaliating or just damn right stupid. And I hope they know even if they do carry forward with this ridiculous threat, they will only find people who are equally as qualified who don't have a problem with abortion and the hospital will stay under new management.

^^ Brent got a fine, almost 12 months after his accident. And that's after they contacted him saying the investigation was closed and no penalties would be issued. Obviously, we're going to court to fight it.

Sorry but as far as I'm aware, that's the problem of the world. America just happens to be right up there. Please tell me you didn't just discover that this kind of stuff is happening in the world? That's why generation Y is an entrepreneur generation. Generation Y don't want to work for the rest of their lives, to retire at 65 years of age (45% continue to work and not because they choose to, 25% have already passed on from working themselves to death, 24% are relying on the government and do you really think they're going to help you? 5% have enough to live comfortably without government support and only 1% are financially free). Generation Y agree that working for "the man" is the real pyramid scheme. We're starting to learn that we can work for ourselves, we can be financially free and we can help others in the process.

The church SHOULD have to keep their hospitals open. It says in the bible that they need to care for the sick, how the hell is taking away the hospital caring for the sick? hypocritical religious people piss me right off. "Oh we don't agree with that law so we're going to make the entire nation suffer for it." Sorry but if your problem is with the government, take it up with the government. Don't [bleep]ing take it out on the people, selfish [puncture]s.
-
I'd like religion to get the hell out of politics. Yes. Religion and politics don't mix, end of story.
-
Perhaps you were so active and busy with activities and friends to disguise pre-existing life issues. Now that you're isolated and unable to engage in the favoured decoys you're left facing your unresolved issues. Work them out while you have time on your own. Being busy enough to forget about them can only last for so long.
-
It's about time this conservative crap was kicked to the curb. And if the religious want to shut down hospitals and hurt a larger population of the nation all over a change in the law, well that's not very religious is it? bloody idiots.

I collect butterflies, angels and dragons so you can find them all over my house, even the fridge magnets. That's all I can think of, my house is pretty boring, if I find it useless or irrelevant, it goes to the bin.

Get a diary and write down everything that needs to be done. Anything that is left over is for leisure, fun, etc My opinion is if you ignore what needs to be done that day, then it is no longer relaxation time but wasted time.

Ask her if the pair of you can talk about what's bothering her before she makes any rational decisions. But the sad news is if she's ditching you because you complain too much then you don't have the problem, she does. Her problem is she doesn't like your personality and expects you to change. The more she tries to change you and mold you in to someone you're not, the less she is going to like you and the more things she will find to pick about. It's also bad news for you as your self esteem goes down the drain for every time you apologize and attempt to change who you are. If someone doesn't love everything about you (even the parts that piss you off) then give them the flick. Depends what you're not caring about. How could it have benefited you?
