Father named child Adolf Hitler, and asks for tolerance
IGoddessI replied to Bloodredsword's topic in Off-Topic
Yes, it's just a name but do you realise how many years go by before you realise, it's JUST a name? 16 years of abuse in the classroom before anybody gets that it's JUST a name, could screw poor little Adolf up for the rest of his life. Ironically, apparently the real Adolf's life was so full of bullying and teasing, people debate that's what made him "snap". Hairy ball sack is just a name too, but for crying out loud, why the hell would you put your child through the trauma to prove your point? Yes kids will make fun of most things, but I think I would rather make fun of mr hairy balls over Jack the kid with one eyebrow. How completely selfish. By the way, the cake maker might actually not have anything against the name, he just probably doesn't want his [wagon] sued! -
Find common grounds. Many introverted, shy people have lots to say about subjects they like. Find out what she likes, compare it to things you like and talk about the things you have in common. If you want her to open up then you're going to have to find out what she's passionate about. The more you talk to her, the easier it will get.

You're right to be upset, nobody can tell you how to feel but It's my personal opinion to believe you did the wrong thing. If you knew you had an exam the next morning and couldn't hand it in, this isn't your professors problem. That problem belongs to you. So by over coming your problem you should have then figured out closing times of the reception and made sure to hand it in before home time. This is called planning ahead. If you did not do this, then it is your problem that the rest was not delivered to your professor on time and your problem that you didn't get marked. If you did hand it in on time before the hours of reception closing and she went home early then this should be brought up with your professor and dealt with appropriately. In this one circumstance, it would be the receptionists fault. However, you could have also avoided this by making sure you were at the reception with PLENTY of time remaining. In future this will avoid further disappointment. If you're lucky your professor might be generous. If he's not, learn the lesson of planning ahead. As I already mentioned, you have every right to feel upset but who should those feelings really be directed at? The professor, the receptionist, or YOU? Since the test was OPTIONAL, I hope he has a little Christmas spirit. Be thankful this wasn't worth 20% of your final grade!

Father named child Adolf Hitler, and asks for tolerance

So long story short, man names kid Adolf Hitler then says it's just a name, while also requesting swastikas. 1+1 usually equals 2 in my books. -
Sorry but when did two lesbians or two gays reproduce? :wall: By the way I find it discriminatory that Les-be-friends is bleeped out but the word gays isn't. Edit: My bad if you add an "s" to lesbian it's bleeped out.. And so I find that discriminatory to lesbian multiples

No she probably likes you even more now because she couldn't have what she wanted. Isn't that what most teenagers want? lol Explain that when you told your friend that you "like" her, that he took it in the wrong way. He thought you liked her as in liked her more than a friend and you don't. And if she thinks you're lying then add in.. "in fact... I actually like *insert another girls name*". If that's too humiliating then make up a name and a different school.

Cheerful? Neva!!! 'Tis all part of my evil plan bwahahah

Well no, it's a quick run down on the conception of personality tests. You've just read too far in to what I'm saying and adding in extra things I haven't gone in to detail about. While it remains quite simple to create a test, it also remains quite simple to compare to others. Difference being, collect a larger data sample. It's also quite simple to then use it in jobs to figure out the extent of which personality is likely to work where and likely candidates. By the way your second paragraph just reinforces what Ginger has been trying to say. If you want to get in to political correctness, your short run down on personality test misconception, is a misconception too :(

See I must have been Japanese in a previous life. Just the other day I caught a fly while closing the lid of the wheelie bin, it almost amounts to chop sticks... Just pretend okay.

Anyone can create a semi accurate personality test (nothing will ever be spot on). Just basically re-ask 20ish different questions rephrased a few times over that revolve around the most common personality traits. If you've ticked in 5 boxes that basically say "I'm shy", then hey, chances are quite likely you're a shy person. OMG test is right! How did it know! :P That being said, it's always fun to do ;)

Advice... can't seem to avoid it but not necessarily a negative thing either.

Blowing air out of my nose randomly and sounding like a whale. Smelling my armpit to make sure the deodorant is working. Pulling undies out of butt in public. Laughing really annoyingly loud. ... I also slurp my pasta. Mmm mm mm

Visit http://www.transformhomelessness.com.au and help raise $1 to help transform the lives of the 105,000 Australians who are without a home every night! It won't cost you a cent and will take only a minute of your time! All you have to do is create a pair of butterfly wings Mission Australia's symbol of positive transformation of your own. For every butterfly created, Bayer will donate $1 to help Mission Australia transform the lives of some of the most disadvantaged people in our local communities. We're aiming for a $60,000 donation* and that means we need 60,000 people to create 60,000 butterflies. So spread the word - once you've added your butterfly, ask your friends, workmates and family to do the same! It's Christmas! So be kind

Just that he's such a clever boy. He will roll over and put his own dummy in his mouth, he can hold his own bottle, he can sit up by his self and support his own head. He likes to watch Dr Phil with me on weekdays ;) But yeah at 6 weeks old that is pretty amazing I'm so proud of him! He's currently starting to copy facial expressions. When I make a kissing noise he puckers up his lips for a kiss and when I laugh, he has the funniest chuckle it almost sounds like Woody the wood pecker

Surprise :o : Rai wanted to pop in and say hello to all our friends. He's now almost 6 weeks old

It's a restaurant, it's pretty freakin obvious that people are going to eat, a hell of a lot easier to tell than the possibility of breastfeeding. Was it worth making an argument for that? lol Speaking of "highly opinionated" A few days ago you and I agreed to different views and dropped the subject. Then a few days later you came to express the very same ones and started the whole debate again. Very hypocritical for someone preaching "social etiquette" as his main argument. What you're so highly fighting to prove and what you do are two totally different things. No offense but I'm not going to pay great amounts of attention to 2 board trolls who follow you around like a bad smell to agree with you.

I'm not angry Jesse I'm trying to point out a different angle for you actually. What if your friends claims aren't true? You stated they were hired out of sympathy, you do not know this for a fact and neither do I. Therefore what you stated isn't necessarily true. I was offering you an alternative angle and a much more positive one at that. If everyone has missed your original point then perhaps you've written it in a way we don't understand? Written text often can't convey the emotion, hidden or deeper meaning of thoughts and processes in your own head. This is why when people take things for face value, you try again so they don't miss your original point. You can't blame other people if you've written something misleadingly. Take responsibility for your posting.

Face the wall to eat your dinner and give me some privacy. You can't see me feeding my child then and I don't see a single problem with it at all. This has already been answered if you took your own advice and learned how to read.

The stories of his friends and from his father are ignorant. This might not make them ignorant people overall but they're still ignorant for what they said. It would be my bet jessy87 that you spend too much time listening to other people and a lot less time going out and making judgments for yourself. If you don't know where you got all this from, I'm seeing a trend. A lot of your experiences and judgments have been made by people influencing you with their stories rather than incidents that you've actually been in.

Who the hell are you to say they don't hire on quality. Do you know the physical strength of someone who has down syndrome? Or the learning capability of an Autistic person who loves their job? The memory capability of someone who has Aspergers? The creative genius and sometimes the associated 130+ IQ of being a bipolar person? There is a man down the street from me with 1 hand and 2 fingers, he can work the cash register faster than anyone I've ever seen. They have qualities that are better than you in many ways so don't even attempt to limit them. Perhaps whoever is doing the hiring knows a lot more than you apparently do. Especially if they came through hiring agencies who have experts in their fields. Don't believe everything your father/friends tell you because their opinions seem pretty ignorant. / rant
