  1. you can make three inventories (3 sets of 4) of overloads per log in/out, while maintaining a bank pin. it's reliable enough that i do not use a clock while doing it, while i do for any other potion (or other skill ability) that i stew for
  2. you get a good amount of cut diamond, rune weapon/armour, and charm drops as well. i'm not sure if they pay for potions though because i've stopped selling them after each trip the question of whether or not killing tormented demons is 'worth it' is a hard one to answer. is it worth it to kill one? almost certainly not, because the time it takes to gear up and run down there is likely to result in an 'average' drop which won't pay for the time spent. what you have to realize is that over a long period of time, you will tend to accumulate an average amount of each drop, and from what others have reported, on average, dedicated tormented demon hunters make a good amount of money by regularly killing tormented demons. so, if you keep at it long enough, you are likely to profit. here are some key points: tormented demons are easy to 'welfare'. the minimum gear required to kill tormented demons is really very close to the 'best' gear you could use to kill them. karils offers no real advantage over black dragonhide, neitzoit helm is better offensively than verac's, whip is perhaps equal to or better than godsword, etc. secondly, when you do get lucky, you've got a thirty-something mil drop. that's pretty nice. oh, and i've got a rapier too and it works well there. though, i don't have a longsword or maul so cant' compare them. still, people who claim 'rapier is trash at tormented demons' must, i think, be greatly exaggerating, because i can do 45 kill / hr not including banking, which seems to be close to the current reported upper limit of tormented demon kill rates
  3. it appears in grave, and it doesn't lose any charge
  4. i've encountered probably five of them so far but no hood. i don't think their that rare... obviously five is too small a sample to tell though
  5. I've seen bots that push the outer limits of that definition. Basically, the user first instructs the bot of there the mouse locations are on the screen and picks if it will be a left click or right click. Once that is done, all the user has to do now is just click spam or key spam and the script will run through all of the pre-recorded positions. The user is still technically inputting all of the button presses, but all the mouse movements are done by the bot. mapping the action of moving the cursor to a specific location on the screen is against the rules. mousekeys move the mouse relative to its current position, which is why they are allowed
  6. there are at least two versions of this program, one of which is illegal, and i've not used either of them. i suggest just learning how to use regular mousekeys.
  7. transitioning to tding with a titan can be difficult, as previous to the titan your familiar was, in some way or another, a source of food. how experienced are you at tds? woox has a (mini) guide which is very good. it can be found i however, am not able to survive the full trip (40 minutes) with just five brews, and instead take seven. this means i can only bring nine prayer potions, which i completely use up if i last the whole forty minutes. i'm experimenting with taking the falador shield (4) because it is in theory a more efficient source of prayer points per inventory spots. for your first few trips, you should probably take up to ten brews to maximise the time you'll be able to be there practicing the new methods. best place to kill: the spot woox uses is what i use, and unless you can handle the south eastern hell hole, it's the only viable option if you plow through TDs like you should. you can kill three different spawns from that spot fairly effectively. i guess you've only been killing one spawn before now? killing two or more spawns requires that you be attentive and waiting for other tds to wander close to you, so you can lure them. this is very important for two reasons: you want them close so that when your td dies, you can start immediately on the next; and if you don't lure them, they could wander into an area where it is hard to lure them to a convenient spot, making them a liability and endangering yourself. it is possible to have three tds in a triangle formation in that spot such that two are attacking you, which eats through brews very rapidly. basically, you should lure tds when appropriate, as soon as possible, so that they will get stuck behind your current td. technique: it's very important that you figure out where the titan can stand to attack. under certain circumstances, it can attack with melee instead of ranged, which is the opposite of good. pay attention to where woox stands to call his titan, this is the most commonly used spot. edit: in regard to the above post, a note on soulsplit. i do flash soulsplit when they are using their magic attack (i'm less willing to do so if they are using their ranged attack) but as soon as they engage with melee, i turn soul split on and leave it on, until i am at full health. they will then continue to attack with melee and occasionally fire off a magic attack which i protect from. when my health is full i turn off prayer and only have turmoil on. if i lose health i resume soul splitting. if their health is low enough that soulsplitting won't yield significant health to me, i protect from melee (and hopefully kill them before they go to range or magic)
  8. i have the rapier, it works very well at tds, but the cls would probably be somewhat better. what matters most though, is the skill of the tder.
  9. i don't consider my td trips complete unless i make and consume a hamburger during it. not but uh... i mean i can go to the bathroom and wash my hands in under a minute, but i'd never go back to playing without clean hands :???:
  10. you can't achieve a +6 boost for herblore, or at least it's so rare that it is for all intents and purposes impossible. so you'll need 87 herby
  11. it's not just about money saved by using the soulwars cape. as obtaurian said, there are places where you don't have enough inventory space. i use soulwars cape at tormented demons because i need seven or so brews (though this number varies greatly... sucks). i'd love to use ardy cape or firecape but i don't want to use super prayer pots because grinding bones sucks
  12. that is not my statement. his statement was (correct me if i'm wrong), that tds are weak to stab. he did not provide any evidence. now, let's take a step back. if someone asserts an unverified claim, and i say "you need to verify that before i believe it" i am not saying that the claim is false. i'm saying we don't know if it is true or not. i am saying that "tds are weak to stab" has not been proven. this does not mean that i am saying tds are not weak to stab. i own a rapier, it would make me look smarter to have chosen it if tds are weak to stab.
  13. i've thought about this before, though not against nomad. it's just helpful in general to not have to pause in combat. the thing is that brews heal about twice as much as a rocktail so you'd have less wiggle room. you'd still want brews because sometimes he just gets in several good hits and you have to heal as fast as possible. i wonder if you can rock/brew/swallow-whole? also i see no shame in doing this if it is effective. it's a clever way to use the bunyip.
  14. That's not how burden of proof works. If someone claims something to be true, they must provide proof to back their claim. Until they can prove it to be true, it's untrue. Thus, Sir Armadyl's claim is untrue until he provides proof (preferably something other than a few links that simply state his claim to be true rather than with EVIDENCE and TESTING). Do you know what Devil's Proof is? Basically, there's no evidence that they're not weak to stab and there's no evidence that they are, which makes it true until it is tested. It's like saying that light orbs carry electricity within wires - there's no proof that that's not true until you look it up or test it yourself, which mean both truths exist at the same time. are you serious? this isn't schrodinger's cat if someone makes an untested assertion which can be verified, then it's not okay to say that it's true until it's tested. it's just unknown. oh and lack of proof against a position does not prove that position. i think i can point to russell's teapot or something here?
  15. ah yes, alching the fish is easier. do you know how to compress your screen? that makes it less likely you'll misclick the fishing spot
  16. you should do what's in my signature. mousekeys not required. dropping normally will make it less likely that you drop too fast and thus cancel your alch. it's also faster than fishing a full inventory and then dropping all the fish. alternatively, you can fletch sets of bolts while fishing or something like that, but it's hard to also drop fish as you catch them. i'm unsure of the xp rates at 71-91, and haven't been keeping track of them that closely for the few levels i've been there sorry =\
  17. last time i wanted just a +2 boost i had horrible luck getting it on just one dose and gave up. now i just use three doses all the time >_> something to consider is that you basically can't get a +6 boost from 3 doses anymore
  18. if you are mining concentrated gold, you might as well be superheating the ore as you get it. about how many gold do you get an hour? could you be using the time saved by superheating while mining to either make money to buy nats, or rc them yourself?
  19. i have my doubts about this software, because in some of his videos he has shown that you can bind a key to move the mouse to a specific location on the screen, which is not legal. i've never used it though.
  20. remapping keys is not something that jagex should be able to detect, and they should have no problem with it. some people have broken keyboards or obscure keyboard layouts that really force them to remap keys. that being said, make sure all you're doing is remapping keys. on a side note, i play on a laptop that doesn't have a numpad, yet comfortably use mousekeys + stickykeys. i'm curious as to how your keyboard has its numpad integrated into it
  21. zarfot has, and he says you can survive doing that.
  22. price of onyx had better crash in a year...
  23. what exactly are you trying to do? why do you need autohotkey if you can already do it with mousekeys? if you can figure out exactly what you want to use autohotkey for as opposed to mousekeys, then we can figure out if it's legal or not
  24. i think you mean onyx (i) http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=mobilising_armies.htm#rewards
  25. well, you need 300 rank for imbued onyx or fremmy rings. 200 rank will get you dragonstone (i) which is a very good ring. you can gain 12 rank per hour (capped limit within the game itself, not just an estimate) so 300 rank takes about 25 hours. most people have enough reward credit to buy imbues for their rings by the time they have the required rank. so, you should probably start off just trying to gain rank. a popular method is suiciding the seige scenario. use light units, attack the castle, and kill yourself at 26(?) minutes with the cannon special attacks.
