  1. One more suggestion is to check the tip.it farming guide. They have a table of which "flower" will protect each veggie. Very useful when I'm growing veggies (like watermelon) that I don't want to worry about getting diseased. As long as I have that item fully grown in the flower patch the veggies never die! Also, ALWAYS USE SUPERCOMPOST when you can. Stop by different stores and purchase all the pineapple you can carry. Great for large yields.
  2. He also calls you his "number one" has captain's pips on his collar, etc. A lot of allusions to Star Trek.
  3. I just found balls of wool for sale in the Ardougne general store, west of the tele in spot.
  4. I don't have the level to cook sharks yet so I've made a few hundred tuna potatoes. They heal more than sharks which is really nice when I really need the extra. Not that hard to make either.
  5. About three weeks after construction was released I was nearly to lvl 50 when I decided to tear down my entire house and rebuild it. So I didn't waste money this time I started planning out different house designs. The three or four ideas I sketched out weren't as effecient and well designed as your layout so I copied your blueprint. Well done and thank you for posting this. I have found two or three other designs but yours is by far the best one I've seen.
  6. If you can count the number of pickled peppers that peter piper picked then yes he did. What's the difference between men and women?
  7. There are also a lot of iron ores to the north-east of ardougne that I believe are closer to a bank than varrock. You might want to mine there instead.
  8. I just read an awesome guide from a guy who trained a pure and got the fire cape at lvl 57!!! He had 1 defence. His name is I__Am_Rak__I. He posted a video of the whole thing and it is amazing.
  9. Did you 'use' the bones on the altar? They will burn up and apparently that's where you get the extra xp. I've only done it once with some big bones in my bank and didn't compare how much xp I got. That's the way I understand it should happen though. Should being the key word however.
  10. Probably one of the best ways I've seen to power craft (as an added bonus it costs nothing!) is to bring a couple of buckets and go to Entrana. Walk or run to the north-west side of the island to pick up an inventory full of seaweed. You can then go to the stove on the south-west corner of the island, fill your buckets with sand to the south of that house then go to the furnace across the road. Grab a glass-blowing pipe and make the highest level glass item you can then drop all those items to go make more. I would recommend listening to some good music or watching a DVD while doing this as it can get quite repetitive.
  11. I know it will take awhile to get your levels but here's the best way I've found to work the farming skill. Take your tree seeds, place them in pots and water them so they'll grow in your bank. Get the different items needed to pay the farmer to watch the tree, tele to the eight tree and fruit tree locations then pay the farmer there to watch your tree for you. Come back hours later (check the tip.it farming guide for the times needed) to wc the tree and use a spade on the roots. You can then plant more and pay for him to watch your tree again. Relatively fast xp this way!
  12. I enjoy training on hill giants north-west of varrock's west gate. You will need a key to get through the door or follow the varrock sewers to the end. They drop big bones which I usually bury right there to save space. They also drop limp roots which are good for my herblore skill. The varrock bank is close enough to run to and back without depleting your energy.
  13. I like the oak suggestion. I usually do that myself or if I am trying for speed I use teak planks. If you want to avoid any cost to yourself but don't want to go the clay route there is a limestone mine north-east of varrock near the rag and bone man. You can mine as much as you want, use a chisel on the limestone to make limestone bricks and make a lot of stone fireplaces.
  14. The store west of the bank in shilo villiage stocks up to fifty water-filled vials and ten vials. You might have to world hop to find them in enough quantity to make the trip worth it though.
  15. I have a couple of additions and corrections to the listing in the first post: dkr:East of edgeville, across the river and north of varrock djr and cjr:North-west of sinclair mansion ckr:Outside of shilo villiage (you can see the gem rocks) blr:Outside Legend's guild entrance bkr:Mort myre swamp (correction from bls listed above) bkq:Centaur valley-purpose and location?
  16. My lowest is 48 slayer and my highest is 77 mining. I really enjoy the smithing skill and usually mine most of my ore. I have been playing off and on for four or five years, more off than on though.
  17. I would agree with sijan about the closest potato field to a bank. Personally I don't use sacks because later I have to right-click the sack over and over to get them back out of the sack. Zyrkon, I submitted a fairly in-depth guide to making tuna potaotes a page or two back. Try reading that and either pm me here or in the game if you have further questions. My rs name is nephite11. Happy baking!
  18. I always use my genies on herblore. Imho it is more expensive than prayer if you use the ectofunctus for lvling the latter skill. Herblore takes forever to collect second ingredients, purchase or farm your first ingredients, craft or buy all your vials and put them all together. Always use genies for herblore!
  19. World 2 is also the "official" world for people needing to work on the Shades of Mort'ton quest or to bless their olive oil. You might want to include that in your listing.
  20. Check out this recent update by the tip.it forumn admins I guess I just timed my "bump" correctly! Thanks for the encouragement everyone.
  21. A little FYI: Butter can be purchased after starting the new Recepie for Disaster Quest. The Bank Chest in Lumby basement sells them but only at a max stock of ten. A little world hopping and you're good to go.
  22. Well, for anyone reading this far along in this post, welcome. I have now made over 400 tuna potatoes before stumbling across this post and would like to suggest a few things I have learned along the way. Probably the easiest way to get the most corn is to use a scarecrow in each of the farming patches and always use supercompost while farming (farm your own pineapple plants or watermelon. Alternatively you can head out to karamja to pick pineapple or tele to the grand tree to purchase pineapple there). Potatoes, tuna and corn are easiest to cook in Catherby where the bank is next door to a range. Catching tuna will also gain you a lot of swordfish for your personal use later on. Most importanly, you can now purchase butter directly from the new bank chest in lumbridge. There is only a max stock of ten once you finish all parts of the recepie for disaster quest so you might have to switch worlds to gain large amounts. As for the methods needed to make this great tuna potato here are the steps I follow: 1. Cook all needed potatoes, tuna and corn in equal quantities. 2. Tele to lumbridge and purchase all needed butter from the Recepie for Disaster Bank Chest (will require world switching to purchase all) 3. Purchase five bowls while there. 4. Place one knife, five potatoes, five butters, five bowls, five corn and five tuna in your inventory. 5. Use the butter with your potato. 6. Use the bowls with your corn. 7. Right-click either the corn or the tuna and use it with the other. 8. Use the potato with the tuna/corn mixture. 9. Rinse and repeat. I hope this helps you in your tuna potato making endeavors. Pm in rs if you have further questions. I am nephite11.
  23. I would be happy to be your friend. I am in college and manage a computer store so sometimes my life gets busy but if I'm ever on I would be happy to chat. My rs name is nephite11.
  24. I've seen him in the CW entrance twice but I still have yet to figure out what he is and what to do with him. Any advice would be great!
  25. You might want to add the blue dragons in the hero's guild basement. I've found them great to range and/or mage on and you get their bones and hides for prayer/crafting xp. Games necklaces are cheap as most people drop emeralds all over the place.
