Although almost everyone here, including the OT'ers have played Runescape, lots of people don't play it at the moment, nor would they know about recent updates. It's OK to have RS-related in a general way, as mrmyk said, but not having the custom rank as a reward from a TET-like-event. I'm sure everyone here has a knoledge of what runescape is, even if they don't play, just by browsing the forum. I guess I couldn't get my point across. What I meant was that because some people don't play anymore (I really doubt that someone hasn't played) the contest shouldn't be directly related to RS in-game, like a "find me" event, or the like, while it could be related in a general way. In fact, it depends a lot on what you define as "RS-related". I can't really express any opinion on a general concept.

To my count there are: 9 admins, 6 supermods, 6 global mods, 12 local mods, and 13 mod trainees, along with numerous Crewbies and Researchers.

Just think about how much money you are actually giving to each person. 1k? Maybe even 5k? No RWT would do that. You have nothing to worry about.

If you are willing to take tips, be sure not to expect any results the first days or weeks. Losing weight isn't exactly something you can or should do rapidly. No, you don't need any quests to use the ZMI altar. However, this means you'll have to waste lots of runes (20 without pouches, 40 with pouches) each run. The most effective way to use the altar is using the Ourania Teleport to go there (needs Lunar Diplomacy quest and 71 magic), and teleporting back to a bank via dueling rings, glory amulets or the Moonclan teleport.

No, sorry, you are not able to use the assist system for quests (or achievement diaries). You'll have to get the levels yourself. Good ways to get those smithing levels depend on how much money you are willing to spend. Buying iron ores and rings of forging, and the making iron knives out of them leaves a small profit, but is somewhat slow. Buying steel bars and making plates will be really fast, but it will consume you cash in seconds. Also, remember you can use an evil stew to get a nice +5 bonus, so you'll only need to raise your level to 58. (I know you can get a +6, but this is a rare and unreliable event).

Hey, McGuff still plays, and isn't he like over 50 years old? Games aren't just for kids, and as long as you don't give out any personal information, being friends with an adult that plays RS is completely fine.

I'd say burn them. There are lots of easier ways you could recover the money you'd have got by selling them. You'll also get faster experience cutting/burning than cutting/banking/burning, because you save the banking trips time.
