  1. You're wrong.
  2. But people tend to DK and KBD etc. with friends, all it needs is one of them to bless it and that gives you 60 minutes to get back there, no where in the game takes that long to get, not even GWD boss rooms. You can probably get back to KBD in 5 minutes anyway, barrows would be pushing it but I'm sure unless you go on the most empty world when the servers are empty-ishh anyway that someone else will be there, and the chances are they'll see your grave and either repair it - renewing it to 5 minutes, or bless it giving you an hour to get back.
  3. If anything, it's now EASIER to get back and get your things, at barrows I'm sure it won't be 5 minutes before someone walks past and sees it and they'll most likely bless it or just repair it for you. There is no other reason for this update other than to stop being getting killed on purpose with a lot of gold on them as a way of transferring gold from person to person, a way which before was completely undetectable as far as I'm aware.
  4. On Thursday night I did a DK trip, with someone, in this trip he got: Dragon Axe, Archer's ring while I got two Seerculls, That's about 5M of loot for him and 300k for me. On Friday night we go again: I get an axe and a mud staff while he gets nothing, that puts me roughly 300k higher than him. Saturday night, we go to armadyl with someone else, While getting the 120 kills to get into the dungeon he got about 90 of these drop (The person who I DKed with) while I had about 10 and the other person had 20. Now, I fail to see how that works, but ok I wasn't too bothered, maybe I was just getting unlucky. We go in and kill the actual boss, We killed ~15 of them (60 kills in there between us), out of those 60 kills, I had FIVE of the "main" drops (1k, 1k, 3 mushroom potatoes, 3 mushroom poatoes and 104 rune arrows) with only one of those being off the 580. I also had about 8 of the feather or boens that they dropped. Out of the 60 kills, about 40 of them fell to the guy who I DKed with, and it wasn't until he got a godsword shard drop that the other guy started getting all the drops. Fine, the godsword shard sent the first guy "over" me in terms of loot value, however the other person has had multiple items via lootshare, for example a visage and multiple meds off KBD and I definatly didn't expect to average a drop about one in every 10 or so! So why was I getting the raw end of the deal? Before this I'd never gotten anything good from lootshare (And neither had anyone I'd been with before). Without trying to turn this more "ranty" than "questiony" I'm just glad this happened before the trading update has come in, otherwise I'd have been stuck with just about enough money to pay for my sara brews I used that trip... let alone everything else I had to use.
  5. Boss monster hunting will still be dead, even if Jagex find a way for us to "share" the loot. The reason being - Unable to "drop trade". All of the main bosses you're being attacked constantly and thus have little time to trade (Even so it'll be 3k, or so to be "up to 30k") limit. However it's VERY useful to just "drop trade" potions, food etc. between people in the team while killing the monsters. with the 3k limit we're limited to 2 sara brews and a shark per 15 minutes, it's impossible to trade prayer restoring items between ourselves (Well, we could trade in one doses!) and thus it gets extremelly annoying with people running out of food while the rest of the team has far too many, but there's no way to share it around. Hopefully the 30k limit will apply to these drops too, but even then it's probably not enough.
  6. Believe I had 24 whips before getting 85 slayer, my first ever abyssal kill got me a dragon med. Not worth pieing there until around 82-83 imo, you use far too many pies otherwise.
  7. 90% of the people with the cape shouldn't even be called rangers, bloody chins/cannoners. Us proper rangers got 99 range via the good ol' bow and arrow method. I remember when I used to be in the top 300 for range, good times.
  8. Had quite a good DK trip last night considering this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=s16LkNNJcOw happened! Did a trip the day before too, my friend got an axe and an archer while I got two seerculls. 5M each made in about 3 hours work there, not bad at all. Although I feel sorry for my brother (He maged both trips) and has yet to get a drop, I'm sure he'll get one soon enough though.
  9. I never even considered it could be an island, thought it was some kind of creature.
  10. I don't think there is a skill requirement for joining members. I remember when I first joined members, over 5 years ago now, I was level 27 combat and I believe my highest skills were fishing and cooking which were in the low 50s and I never struggled to do anything. Although back then there was no where near as much to do as there is today the quieter servers and larger area made it much much easier to raise my skills, one of the main reasons I became a member. I don't know anyone who hasn't enjoyed members and only know of a couple of people who became a member and had to stop and still manage to put with f2p after that time. Have fun exploring the members, if you have any questions about anything just add me in game and I'll be happy to answer them.
  11. Jagex took a very long time with construction too, infact it was in the game about 6 years ago as "Carpentry" however you were unable to level it, is was changed to agility when that came out though. But construction isn't rubbish. I'm sure a lot of their updates have had loads of planning going into them, which of course should mean that they're all good updates and thus not rubbish.

  13. Your resolution has nothing to do with Vista but a combination of your video card and your monitor. I'm on Vista however my maximum resolution is only 1024x768 cause I have a rubbish Monitor :( The only one to make Runescape "bigger" is to put it in 800x600 like people have already stated.
  14. Welcome back Socc! Will speak to you in game whenever I next get on.
  15. And remember with Fatigue people were complaining about having to walk to a bed and then Jagex "fixed" this by adding Sleeping bags, which made pretty much everyone happy, having to carry an extra item with you didn't hurt too badly. The same will happen here, I doubt any of the changes are going to remain as they are. I believe Jagex have already said they're doing something about loot sharing, they've been listening to comments on Clan Wars and I assume the new "wild" will be changed. People just don't have patience, they ARE listening to players and of course won't leave things how they are.
  16. And the fact you wouldn't be able to tan hides for friends after this update either. Pretty much all "Easy" money methods are out of the window, which is annoying for new accounts trying to get off their feet.
  17. Monster hunting is dead, and is one of the things I enjoy doing most in the game. You can not share loot you get from boss monsters and the lootshare system doesn't work, thus no one will kill boss monsters because you'll average a "drop" every 4 trips or so, instead of a share of one every trip, and even then your drop will probably end up being crap.
  18. Did you happen to get a screenshot of that? Getting potions from Clue Scrolls is extremely common, but has been around since their release. I've done countless lvl3 clues and never had potions as a reward.. Doubt this is true.. (Hope it isn't...I have my fair share of junk rewards already  ) Think he meant rare. You can get: Anti Fire pots, Super sets and Super Energy potions from level 3 clues, believe it's been like this since the first Treasure Trail "Update" (Skirts and gilded I believe)
  19. That's a good side to the update, fixes one problem but makes a whole new one, the one about not being able to fairly share loot.
  20. You guys have until January 2008 till the drop trade thing will be abolished. What's wrong with Party house? Well, other than the fact that everyone gets spammed that there's a drop party happening...
  21. The ONLY part of the update I don't like is the trade change and how it affects Monster Hunting. Monster Hunting is my favourite thing to do in the game, but that is now, ruined unless Jagex "fixes" lootshare to make it even. Or add something in the code so that the people that were in the "group" when the expensive drop was obtained can still get their share, no idea what they could do but something needs to be done. Other than that I'm a tad annoyed about the 3,000 limit on picked up items per 15 minutes. the 3,000 limit PER item is fine, but 3,000 per 15 minutes is annoying. For example at Dagannoth Kings you very often need to switch items around with friends, giving them an extra shark or two, or a sara brew or a super restore. Oh wait, Super restores can't be transferred, same with prayer pots... but you'll only be able to pick up about 2 sara brews and a shark per 15 minutes, not very good. Suggestions: Limit the item price limit to 10,000gp for dropped items and the combined price for 15 minutes to 30,000gp. Although that'll never happen and will make it possible for people to transfer 120,000gp per hour, so =/
  22. 3k PER 15 minutes. So that's 534*15 minutes or 133 hours...
  23. Harrington, do you actually kill boss monsters? For example, at GWD I've killed over 600 bosses total, and had 2 shards. While people on my team have had: 3 shards, 5 zamorak spears and various other items. Under the new system I'd only get those 2 shards, and exactly NOTHING from the other drops. This makes boss monster trips unprofitable and thus more people will go and thus prices of the items will go up and thus for people who DO go and for the ONE person in the team that gets lucky will become rich while the others get nothing and get annoyed at the system. Unless you kill thousands and thousands of monsters with the same people LootShare is unfair and if you only go with someone else to a monster once and they get a drop you'd have wasted your time. Horrid, horrid, update.
  24. Correct, but supposedly "lootshare" fixes this, which is complete and utter crap. I've been playing this game for 6 years, supported pretty much every decision Jagex has ever made... but not this, they've gone too far this time.
