This is fairly awesome, except the fact it's a toolbar, ugh. I guess I'll have it enabled just hidden most of the time and check it when I need to. For those confused the GE updater tells you when YOUR ge offers have been updated, not when the GE has updated.

It was quiz master wasnt it? He doesnt give one. There might be others that dont aswell. I've had lamps from the Quiz Master before so it's not that. It's random pretty much.

Only one of the new rewards has any sort of use, which is the scroll of efficiency, could save quite a bit of money towards 99 smithing if you chose to smith instead of smelt. I guess the ring has its uses too but as I don't use specials while doing Slayer it's no good to me. Oh well, new floors should be fun when I eventually get there. Only 63 Dungioneering at the moment so it's not as if they're any use to me. Best part of the update is higher rate on the construction rocks, no more 2k planks to get both of them!

From Ice Strykewyrms again, that's Ancient platelegs for those not paying attention (I didn't notice at first until I accidentally moused over it). That's 3 Elites done now and 3 rares (Ancient d'hide body, dragon legs/skirt spike kit and now Ancient platelegs).

With the leak on the old Runefest website saying it was going to be at the Olympia it seems more likely that there was a change in the focus of the event to something on a smaller scale. This enabled Jagex to refund the ticket cost. I do not believe that this was the intention from the start. Players get irritated at anything Jagex do. A sign that they mess up at almost anything they do. I hate to admit it too, but it is quickly becoming more and more apparant. Just hope that they fix that real sharpish and get back to how they used to be :( How so? This is their first event, they had no idea of interest levels and it was always going to be a test for them. I'm sure they've learnt a lot of things from this which if they decide to do another event should improve that.

Going to leave them in a horrid position if they continue to do this next year. If they charge for it - people will expect them to refund it and thus buy tickets expecting that money back. Or if they just straight out give them out for free then they'll be gone straight away and a lot of people who have no intentions of going will get them, either to sell them later on or to get a free item.

I don't know how Jagex does their updates, but I imagine that they run each set of new content through on a separate server that JUST has the areas needed for the quest/skill/update or whatever, however much is needed. Then they later add this on to the full game in the week leading up to release, which then needs to be tested for a whole lot of other stuff. The game changes week by week, and usually a couple of times during a week too for a small bugfix or whatever. They have to compatibility test AFTER the previous update has hit the live servers otherwise they would have to know what order they're releasing the updates and every single small change months and months in advance. I imagine that's the reason why updates are delayed, not because they don't test them but because of the nature of the game and the way it's updated.

It's a Beta for the reason. I'm sick and tired of game companies putting out demos and calling them Betas, then when a proper beta comes around people complain that it doesn't work. That's not what they're designed for and it's a trend in this "generation" of gaming that really annoys me.

Yes, the official Runescape client from the Runescape website has Java built in.

No to an RP server. They're very strict with what you can name your character, things you can say in trade chat etc.

The compass ones appear to be at certain points though so there has to be a limit to the number there are. Sure there might be a lot of them but they aren't completely random and having a rough idea where it might be is always good. In reply to Ice_goddess1 - Each time you dig you will either get: A Guthix Wizard, a Puzzle Box or a Celtic Knot this is in addition to the Compass or Orb part of the clue. So each "part" of the clue contains one of Compass/Orb and one of Wizard/Puzzle Box/Celtic Knot.

I personally use Veracs for slayer, has decent defence + prayer bonuses and as I don't have Soul Split and occasionally on tasks I do need more healing than just a familiar I think that works best for me but I've never looked into it.

The random seed only applies to herbs and more often than not you get the same seed that you planted. So while it is possible to get a random herb seed back, it's not entirely random. I'd say 90% of the time it's the same seed.

It's NOT Bioshock 3 (As far as we know) and it's silly calling it so. Also, because it's placed before Bioshock 1 and 2 doesn't make it a prequel, we have no idea if the storylines are connected (I'd hope not) so I see it as a completely separate game more than anything. But we'll have to see when we get more information.

They aren't the same as Sara swords. The cross is slightly different on them.

I remember when I was questing on my Paladin, must have been 77 or so at the time. Killed three hunters at once (one 78, one 79, one 80) they just kept coming back and I just kept killing them until I got bored lol.

You have to add chemicals to make it the bottom of the left list (The one above that is what it is currently) using the things on the right to figure out what you need ot add. Allso need ot keep heat/power normal.
