  1. I'm sure he'll be so offended now he's double pwned.
  2. Here's a remedy. http://www.abc.net.au/tv/chaser/war/video/default.htm Eh, worked for me. :P
  3. Change - Deftones
  4. Good question. :? Hetfield is pretty good for a rhythm guitarist. Adam Jones from Tool; he rarely plays lead but his rhythm and songwriting abilities are insane. Oh and whoever out of Willie Adler and Mark Morton from Lamb of God is technically not the lead guitarist. They are both awesome. Listen to the rhythm in Ashes of the Wake. In my opinion it containes one of the best metal riffs ever. 8-) Oh, and, uhh... me. :P (I generally don't play lead, just rhythm and songwriting).
  5. Sarcasm I hope...
  6. Yeah, most of the time when I'm thinking about the politics of this country, I'm not thinking for myself because I've got it good (thankfully). Rather, I'm racking my brains because we still have silly problems in a country as rich as ours and those less fortunate than me are genuinely doing it tough. I find it sad that we have our own phrase for the somewhat neglected in this country - the Aussie battler. There is one thing that effects all of us, though - the water crisis. At least there was a descision made and hopefully the pipes and recycling plant will be up in time.
  7. Nuclear power would be great, but it won't turn up under Howard either. He promises a lot and genreally does the opposite - remember the GST? As for my beef against Howard - everything. The only people who have gotten any benifit from Howard while he's been in power have been the rich suits of the country. Every one else always gets the short end of the stick. Howard wouldn't know that of course since he's like some of the admins of this forum: totally out of touch with the people. If he actually had to survive on the income of your average working-class citizen he'd soon realise what a raw deal he's been given them all for a long, long time. Can't argue with much of that. As I heard someone put it: Rudd is on the global warming bandwagon but against nuclear power yet Howard is supposedly for nuclear power yet dosen't buy global warming. How convienient for us thinkers eh? :wall: About being out of touch, yeah, it does seem that way for Howard and a general slab of the politicians around the place. All it is with Howard these days (if you've ever watched parliament question time from the house of reps) is how great the economy is. It dosen't really reflect much when the wealth isn't being shared to the people who vote and make the country a friggin country. I see something worrying when I get to a position of voting for the lesser of two evils. :wall: While I'm cointinuing in the same complaints and grievances vein, the condescending nature of Costello's budget erks me. Don't get me wrong, I like that he's spending some money for a change instead of letting it accumulate in a bloody vault but anyone with two to rub together knows it's at least partly a vote grabbing excercise. Politics hey, whatcha gonna do. -.-
  8. It's a lot easier if you just read this. English taught in schools fails to actually teach practical application of punctuation to a point where people end up using whatever they think is the correct mark #-o This is a tad embarassing, but I only learnt how to use semi-colons and colons correctly in year 12. #-o
  9. Intolerance - Tool
  10. I recently watched the 'Some Kind of Monster' Metallica documentary and I have to say I don't think thier new stuff is all that bad. Compared to thier old stuff you could say it's a slip in quality, but in my opinion it's still worth a listen.
  11. The oldschool 'Doom' games and the show 'Cops.' Oh, and iced coffee - I'm drinking one right now - 3 coffees, 1 sugar. =P~ :anxious:
  12. Gonna vote for Rudd? This is a good a time as any: what's you're beef against Howard? And just to clarify, no, I'm not for Rudd nor am I for Howard (at this stage; still evaluating). I'd personally love to see nuclear power in this country which it seems at this stage won't come under Rudd.
  13. Bravo I shall share my skittles with you. If scientology involves jumping on Oprahs couch like an ape, I'm all for it :P Didn't you know? That's like thier pilgramage to Mecca. :P

Heh, ok. I've fixed the problem I had with the game by the way. I've now finished doom 1, 2, the ultimate doom add-on to doom 1, the first wad file on final doom and have around 3 more levels to finish on the second wad file. =P~
  15. I've only played THPS, THPS2 and THPS3. I think I owned all of those at one point or another. Great games. :)
  16. If you can't tell a good story in 1.5 - 3 hours then find another job. I just don't really see the point to sequals unless it was written to be a trilogy or two.
  17. Engaging thread gets engaging answer: old.
  18. Dimebag is definately top in my 10 musicians of all time. Incredible grasp of the fret board and he could always write some of the best riffs. Pantera were pure gold.
  19. The fact that you can look back today and say that these are minor, or aren't really, issues isn't the same thing as they weren't issues when you experienced them. Argument is a strawhouse; You had just as many issues when you were younger, they were just of a different kind, just like your future issues are likely to be of a different kind than your current ones. You still can't disregard the first decade of human life as something insignificant. I'm not saying they aren't issues nor am I saying they have no impact on a 12 year old's life. If you look back at it retrospectively, sure, you won't feel it's as significant as it was back then, but contributing to that, I believe, is the fact that you have experienced so much more in depth issues since then. When I originally said I've had 100 times more issues in the latter thrid of my life, I made a mistake. It's not the quantity I was trying to propose to you, it's the intensity of the issue with respect to your life. A 12 year old has issues. An 18 year old or an adult have life-altering choices. In my mind the bearing that a 12 year old's issues has on his/her life is miniscule, however much he/she can't see that yet. I appreciate that you can probably see that this has deviated from the worth of a 12 year old's opinion by now. :P
  20. Generally, you lose the vast majority of memories of anything below age 10 because of hormonal change. You can remember specific events with clarity, but five years ago for a 12 year old and five years ago for a 20 year old in terms of recollection ability is vastly different. This doesn't mean you spent the first decade of your life living a sunny existance without issues that played a major role in forming your character. Oh sure, the events - even if you could remember them, which you can't, due to biology - wouldn't seem that big a deal today, but they were definitely issue's back then. Denying this is like claiming you grew up as a potted plant without thought or emotion, an appendage to the unit of your parents rather than as a person. Which is [cabbage]. A 12 year old has issues, a 12 year old has thoughts, idea's and opinions. Discarding them as insignificant because they have "insufficient experience in life" is silly, not to mention deragotry to the person in question. "You should be more humble in presenting your opinions, because you havn't experienced what I've experienced so your opinions aren't as well-formed". Sure, a physic's degree gives you more clout when it comes to related subjects. Living for six more year's is not a carte blanche that makes your opinions more thought-through, more valid, or more worthy of careful consideration. I'm not going to argue against the biology but I will argue that 12 year old issues stop short in comparison to more teenage issues, which, in turn, stop short of adult issues. You can't compare your 12 year old friends calling you fat to drug abuse as a teen or relying on government payouts so you can exist as an adult. Granted, I'm generalising and extrapolating though I still think my argument is valid. As a response to another aspect of your post, I wasn't asserting that a 12 year olds opinion is less valuable than someone with more life experience. Quite the contary, actually. Expanding on what I mean by mature: Having an informed, thought out, valuable and founded opinion.
  21. I have no idea how old you are Bubsa, but does 12 years constitute less or more than 50% of the time you have lived? If you're getting at what I think you are, that's very misleading. I can say with complete honesty that I have lived through 100 times more issues in the latter third of my life thus far than in the former two thirds (I'm 18, the math is easy). I'd say this is true of most if not all people.
  22. Haha, those were funny as. I spent this whole afternoon just watching Chaser vids off thier site. Totally hilarious stuff. :P
  23. If that isn't the biggest double standard ever I don't know what is. You were annoyed that you got the blame for something that you didn't do but when you got revenge and hit her with a banana, some other guy got in trouble and you're ok with that... Think about the guy who got in trouble for what you did. Karma will come around and kick you in the [wagon]. If it dosen't, Chuck will.
  24. Don't look at it emotionally. Yes, the Sheik reacted rather scarily but what Julian did was not harassment. It was a direct response to a comment Hilali himself made about taping his own mouth shut if he ever said anything else stupid or something to that effect. What it basically was, was a comical response to a very real issue which drew out a rather scary response from Hilali, which shows alot about his character.
