Wow! Your comment changed the tides of the entire conversation  :P . But to further to our esteemed colleagues statement I would also like to agree with the fact that it's completely random. Firstly why would they make a pattern to it? They generally don't like to give free experience and that's what it would be if people could have a pattern that's 100% correct always. To me thinking about a pattern being run in the Agility Arena is like determining whether or not when a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it fall does it still make a sound (Yes I know it does but it's the principle of it)? If there is a pattern is it still running when no one is there? If not then it throws off the pattern and if so then you'll have a hard time figuring out where you are in the pattern if it's as complex as it should be (If no one out there has noticed a pattern then it's gotta be a long pattern before it loops). Making a loop is harder than making something random. The loop is harder because it's predetermined and forced into something, random allows for anything to happen. An actual pattern is very unlikely as Jagex wouldn't want to do it (as if someone figured it out it'd be far too easy of getting the tickets). As to your research project, I say go for it! If you can earn some free experience and have a fun time with it then go for it! Just remember to use cakes from Ardougne, keep hitpoints low (so you lose less HP), and always check which bride/plank you are crossing before following someone. A couple things I noticed, NOWHERE in the Kbase does it say that the Pillar selection is random  . So who knows, you could be right! Also has anyone else noticed that a lot of people on Karamja are entrepreneurs? It costs money to GET to Karamja, it costs money to get into the Agility Arena, it costs money to get into a Dungeon (Don't we normally get into those for free :? ). Karamja, Island of Robber Barons.

ZOMG! Only 2 Days left until el Party! Come one, Come All, the drops not be great but the Mort'ton temple can't rebuild itself :P . Currently I'm gathering supplies to rebuild it! Mining limestone isn't the most fascinating thing :? .

Once you hit a certain level in this game there is no longer a point to train (for example, 85 Mining, 76 Fishing, etc.). There are LOTS of people who have ascertained that level but there are not enough of them to make the game a majority or even a good percentage. Looking at games such as World of Warcraft(WoW) who has great things for their maxed out characters (Battlegrounds, epic abilities, etc.) a lot of people would be saying "Hey, why doesn't Runescape have great stuff for the level 126 players?" The reason for this is because in WoW I got to level 13 in two days of playing, not full days of playing, more so a casual five hours in total. It's just plaing easier for people to max out in WoW. In Runescape it takes people years to get to level 100. If you look at the XP formula you'll notice when you hit level 73 (and a little bit more) you'll be at only 1/13th of maxing out! It takes a long, LONG time to get up to those higher levels. Sure all of these high level people deserve a reward for putting so much dedication into the game but nonetheless Jagex cannot focus on THEM because these higher leveled players have very little voice in the swarms of people who are in the mid-ranged levels (30-60). There needs to be more people who have maxed out skills for Jagex to really start paying attention to that demographic. They need to make the majority of the users happy and then appease the rest of us occasionally to make sure they still have hold over the masses. So our best bet is to keep on training and keep on pouring our money into Jagex and make them hear us...eventually.
-
Oh indeed! Such as Flea Circus and Gold Mine. Those are definetly going to be needing a highly skilled developer :P . But seriously, Firzen is right, Jagex has a lot of games probably stashed away somewhere and if the game is "undisclosed" it's just not for us to know about right now.

Just a bit of a bump and letting those who have read my blog about my Super Cool Drop Party and other various things. I've officially gotten 31 Levels from playing with Affliction in Pest Control and I'm now done with Pest Control and I can start working towards getting supplies for my party (Limestone Bricks, Timber Beams, Olive oil, etc.) and I'm on the last nine things of my latest game  . It'll be out within the month of September (I missed August :( ) and while not being a member I'll have time to work on a new game each month as well! I'll still be active in these forums and I'll still showcase my games here for the viewing public (in the Gallery section of course). That's it. I look forward to seeing you all at my party!

Yeesh, I'd be scared just to go near the Chaos Elemental! Pretty snazzy stuff I'd say.
-
Another little bump just to keep people aware. Only 4 days left until the event! I've been at a Family Reunion for the past few days, thus my innactivity :( .

Actually that's really interesting. Good job for finding this Rhino! As others have been saying the time had to come from somewhere, so why not where Jagex is :P .

Void Knights Are Guthix Followers... Or Are They?
tefda replied to Headnazgul's topic in General Discussion
Going along with that, aren't most Saradomin followers fanatics? They see everything as Black and White, good and evil. Such as the Temple Knights. They're theoretically followers of Saradomin and yet they go around killing people in hopes of making the world a better place (Yes sometimes they are evil but we still don't know all too much about them). Saradominist are the mainstream religion and you can see a temple for him in just about every Human run town. Any other god is practically a lesser god in comparison of devotion. Remember Armadyl from the Temple of Ikov? Her followers were highly spiritual and respectful of her whereas certain followers of Saradomin are inept at their job (i.e. Father Lawrence from Romeo and Juliet quest and the priest in Lumbridge from The Restless Ghost quest). The monks at the Monastary near Falador/Edgeville are about the best you can get for Saradominists, they're the only ones that perform real services in Saradomin's honor. My favorite Clergy-men of any diety is the Nature Spirit from the Nature Spirit Quest. With our help a former druid actually became a part of Nature, that just shows the dedication that the Guthix followers have to none other than Guthix! Now here's where I finally tie this into the topic. The diety sending in the waves of monsters is obviously Zaros. Only he would have the true powers to open portals to the Abyss/Underworld to summon forth these creatures. Zammorak has Mages who can maintain a portal that is already opened into the Abyss. So it would be in Zammorak's best interest to have several followers go off to this "staging" island and then remove the threat of Zaros' army creation? Why not get these gullible adventurers to join up and off them gold and combat training. Why would the followers of Guthix offer us training in combat? Why not instead give us advice as Juna does? These minor inconsistencies are leading up to one big conspiracy  . -
Void Knights Are Guthix Followers... Or Are They?

I am TERRIBLY impressed by this! You've really thought this through and taken time to write this post clearly and add in some excellent graphics which gives it a touch of stupendous! You've brought up a great point and you may be on to something. We all know that something going on with Temple Knights so why not another conspiracy with the Void Knights? Perhaps there will be a quest related to our beloved Mini-game in the near future but until then I will still keep on playing Pest Control and getting all those oodles and oodles of Experience points :D . -
Just a bit of a bump for this thread. In case you haven't noticed I posted a pic of my little drops :P . I've just hit 60 Prayer and I'm now working on getting 70 Mage at the moment. Go Affliction!

I always look forward to a continuation of a storyline! It's always fun to have a huge story play out in front of you each month or so. Hopefully they'll release something big next week (That's my last update)!

:D After I end members I'll still cruise the forums occasionally and display my latest and greatest stuff in the Gallery Forum. Also I want to keep up-to-date on the members stuff so I don't have to make a post saying "Hey guys! I've been gone for three months what have I missed?". B, I'll still be on RS but a whole heck of a lot less often (Even though I'm averaging about an hour a morning as of late :? ). We'll still chat it up :P . Also at Eckered if you click on the "5 PM (Central Standard)"/Time section you'll be directed to the World Time and Date Clock, then just look for New York time (or any other major Eastern City) and you'll find the time. See you all there.

Update again: It's all over, thanks to those who came, wish more of you showed up, but nonetheless, that's it. Thank again! UPDATE: Sorry for this guys but like all well made plans there's a problem in them. I didn't anticipate the amount of people using the 'net at this hour. My roommate has said that at 5:30 it clears up. So check back then. If that's the case then I can extend the party if everyone else can do it. Hey everyone this is your ol' pal Tefda here. Some of you may know that I'm now in a University and if you've seen me online recently you'll notice that it's been in the early hours of the day (Central Standard). That's because I've been extremely busy at school and balancing going to classes, doing homework for these classes, and playing this game that I love so much is very difficult. I've got 11 days of Membership left and I'm using them to best of my ability to get 500 Pest Control Points and get 60 Prayer and 70 Magic. So far it's not going so great but nonetheless I WILL get 60 prayer in that 11 days. Now onto the real reason why I'm posting this little thread. For those of you who don't know or don't remember I hosted a sort of Shade-Temple World Movement and I made a Guide for it and I'm happy with it. Although I'm looking to catch a few more screenshots so I decided that to end my career I'd finish up with those shots and go out with a bit of a bang. So onto the information. Tefda's End of Membership Party! Date: Friday September 8th Time: 5 PM (Central Standard) Duration: 2 Hours (1 Hour Shades of Mor'ton and 1 Hour House Drop Party) Where: Starting at the Shades of Mort'ton Temple on World 59 and then going to my House (Rimmington) What to Bring: Refer to my Guide for Shades of Mort'ton and then the House Party all you need to bring is yourself! What we will be doing: There are two halves of this party. The first part we will be down in Mort'ton (Which is involved with a Quest) and we will be working at the Temple and getting all the oils, fighting shades, etc. etc. I only ask for those of you who will be running back and forth between the Shade Tombs and making sacred oils please, PLEASE check to see if there are enough people slaying/repairing the temple before you run off and make your fortunes. For those of you who don't know ANYTHING about Shades of Mort'ton try referring to myGuide and if you haven't done the Quest yet this is a golden opportunity for you. Once we've had our fair share of working with the temple (An hour, if more people come and want to then maybe more?) I will head back to my House and you all are invited to come with and I will be dropping a portion of my members items (which includes many Unids over Avantoe, several Elf Crystal Seeds, a few higher than I can use seeds, and much more). Edit: Within my house I have two different combat rings (The anything goes one and the swordsman one). I have a well stocked Kitchen, a portal room, a games room, and in my bedroom you can make yourself look pretty! It's fairly simple and I don't expect you to come for the house, but instead focus on me dropping free stuff for your entertainment! I will post a screenshot of the items I'll be dropping once the University internet connection will allow me to get onto Runescape. Also one last thing is if you'll notice Tefda does not appear in the Hiscores! That's because I've pulled a Bloodveld! I'm not going to release my REAL Runescape Username until about a day before the event. I released my AIM once before when I just released some of my games and I was bombarded by messages on it! I just don't want to go through that again. I look forward to seeing all of you at this little Shindig I hope you guys come out and get some experience from the Shade of Mort'ton temple and I hope you all enjoy the items I drop as well! Edit: Ladies and Gents, tomorrow (Friday, August 8th) I will be celebrating my end of membership and I'd like you all to join me at the Shades of Mort'ton Temple to rebuild it AND come to the house of..... ...Gone... There you go, see you all tomorrow!

They're NOT trying to kill fansites! Honestly people! Why is it that Jagex is making the Kbase? Because they want to stop people from scamming other players by going to PHONY websites! Jagex loves people having communities and groups about Runescape they just want to make sure people are not directed to fake or scam websites. If more of these gullible people look at the Kbase instead of saying "How I mine 4 phish?" and receive an answer of "Go to Scam SiteXYZ and type in your RS Username and Password and it'll give you all the secrets of the game" nice and good people can say "Go look at the Kbase" instead of risking the chance of being banned by saying "tip.it" and by telling them of the Kbase you're still helping them out and teaching them a valuable tool in RS. If people are looking for a RS community or fansite they'll look for a fansite on Google or their preferred search engine. If they're looking for quick and impersonal information they can go to the Kbase. Tip.it is still standing strong after years and years of being the best fansite. I think they can handle a data competition with Jagex.

Advice - Best and quickest way to train theiving
tefda replied to bandit_loz's topic in Help and Advice
Also you could steal from the Fishing stalls and then cook what you steal in the great hall (where the chief is). You also rarely get Lobsters from the stall as well! -
Yeah, I realize that. I was just making my own opinion known to the masses that will look at this board. Perhaps inspiring others to achieve something like that.

Non Combat Pest Controll Awards: Worth 'wasting' points on?
tefda replied to Taito2004's topic in General Discussion
I've only gotten the Herb packs so far and the possibility of getting lots of good herbs is there but I think it was just my luck that I got mostly Toadflax :? . I've never seen ANY data on Seed packs or Ore packs. If anyone wants to post a bit about that that'd be helpful. But as of now (with my 15 or so days left of membership) I'm rushing my way to get about 500 points to get 70 Magic (from 66) and 60 prayer (from 58). Which means only combat exp for me :D . -
Interesting. You could do a lot with that. But there is still the fact that you're only getting your one servers audience and not all of Runescape in one fell swoop. If they wanted to be taken seriously perhaps they should go ahead and get an actual domain. It's only $10 for a domain and $7+ a month for servers. That would make it all the more respectable and probably more widely used.
-
Chompy hat because for two reasons. One being that very, VERY few people have it and secondly because if you die you can get it back for free :P .
-
Yes. Not a lot of people fight them because they're big and dangerous, plus are Granite Legs really that good? Surely there is better equipment out there (i.e. Barrows).

The main idea is pretty good (by author). ANYTHING to make Smithing easier/faster would be great. The above idea is a better alternative to mining it. If you're mining a "Pure" form of coal (sounds too close to Pure Rune Essence and regular...) why not get it from the coals itself? Make it a percentage chance to mine this better form of coal but make it to a similar number as gems (a diamond is just super-compresed coal after all) but it's unaffected by the Amulet of Glory? If you "refine" the coal then you're still burning it up and this new more "pure" coal seems to be just a more powerful coal so burning it up doesn't seem right from a reality standard although this is Runescape so anything goes :P . One last thing is what would happen if you're making steel? Would the super-coal have a cumulative effect (Meaning if you are making 10 steel bars you'd only need 10 super-coal)? Would it be usable only with itself (meaning you couldn't mix and match regular coal and super-coal so you have one super and two non super could you do a bar that requires four coal)? But I do like this idea and the fact that you took into account the Blast Furnace and made it so that it evens out in use.

Alright so just making a little bit known, I'm going off to University tomorrow morning. This'll be my last post for the night and after that I'm putting my computer in storage and the next post I make will be from my College Dorm room. I, like many others, am holding off on being a member for the next few months and instead am going back to F2P but not before I go out with a bang. If my schooling is doing alright and nothing in the real world is happening, then I'll be holding a party event in two locations. One at the Shades of Mor'ton Temple and then after maybe an hour or so of that I suppose we all can head over to my House and have a good ol' time and I'll be dropping lots and LOTS of stuff in my house. It might be considered junky items, but it's a drop party nonetheless  . So on September 9th (if everything with me is A-Okay and no TET events are scheduled for then) I'll be hosting a Mor'ton/House/Drop party. I'll be posting more details closer to the date in General P2P.

Good point! Everyone thinks that there will be a big war between Ardougne and Camelot because Lathas hates them up there (Although I've never seen anything to say that so if someone could cite something that'd be awesome). Also didn't they mention improving NPC vs. NPC combat (i.e. the Gnomes vs. Khazaard troops) right around the time one of the Plague City quests were released. Perhaps September will hold more for us than we expect!
-
Exactly! But going back to the helmet, we "killed" Tyras, I don't think a lot of people in his camp would be glad to see us again. It'd make sense to hide your identity from them until you get into their good graces or maybe you're on a mission from the Elves in the camp near the city (not Lletya) to "infiltrate" the Tyras camp and find out more info and THEN you start helping out the good guys again. Like Mc, up there said, they'll end up twisting it backwards again  .
