  1. Hello once again everyone! This is Tefda here showing off a brand new flash game! Druids Workshop. In this game you take on the role of a druid who is trying to work his way through the ranks of the druids. Use A,S,D, and F to add a secondary ingredient to each potion as it comes along the line. Look at the instructions on the page as well as in the game for a better understanding. Also if you make it to the later levels please tell me if you think it's too fast or not. For me it seems fast but I'm not that quick either sooo.... Thanks for viewing/playing/commenting!
  2. Yep, 'tis a bug. It's definetly with the costume room.
  3. Au contraire Mon Fraire! (Do the French really say that?) Anyone can get a group together all it takes is a few dedicated people. If I may critique Fenarox's post though. So long as you have at least four people building with mid-ranged crafting levels 50+ then you'd need less people to defend the temple. The MOST IMPORTANT part is actually building and maintaing the temple. If you can get the rate of repair and maintenance to be greater than the rate at which the Shades attack then you don't need anyone to attack at all. Just be careful, about every hour you're there the temple falls again and so you'll have to make some quick repairs when it does, it'll drop down to 80% or so but do not panic, just keep on maintaining, if your repair rate is better than the shades destorying then you'll do just fine. In case you're interested here's a link to my Shades of Mort'ton Mini-Game. It has a few good tips on how to do things.
  4. Shouldn't there be more RSC players here too? Right before Launch of RS2. Had to take a screenshot to make sure I had an accurate account of my levels back in the day.
  5. Love the idea. More portals would be great. But the Lyre idea, BRILLIANT! Why not mount a Lyre? It's just like a glory amulet! We should be able to mount the lyre. I'd be fine not having a Lyre accessible to me and it only in my house. Then again if you're desperate you can always move your house to Rekella. :?
  6. Generally at most two hours a day in between classes. I hate having great long breaks in my schedule where I have to go back to my Residence hall and do nothing aside from looking at notes or playing Runescape.
  7. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=477 ... c&start=51 Heh, I just bumped it not long ago. Anyways, Jagex plans things years in advance. Recently they went through how POH's have been being worked on SINCE RSC. It's a huge project to do anything in the worlds largest Java based game. Think of it this way, Jagex is a factory making machines. The machines are made of many parts, not just one person each part, it requres multiple people on an assembly line to put everything together, if one person alone was doing it it would take even longer. So Jagex is a factory and their employees are putting together their machines one piece at a time BUT they each have to do something or it wouldn't be made. Understand?
  8. Jimmy, might I make a suggestion? Add a link to your BLOGscape! Also use This for your times.
  9. Some of you are complaining about the Costume room and whatnot. I think it's definetly good. More clear bank space is always a good thing, but I think that this is an update for the few members that switch back and forth between F2P and P2P as well. For example, I'm currently F2P and have been P2P previously. My bank is 100% full (F2P size) and then some. If I had a costume room I could store that Splitbark Armour that's now just sitting there. There's undoubtedly ten or so things that I could possibly place into a costume room and would give me a better chance of having more space in my bank. Now what about those goats though? Anyone tried doing anything with them, seeing what they look like, trying the new potion?
  10. Ah! Thanks for that, like I said, I'm no expert at Dungeons. I'll edit that in soon. Thanks :D
  11. Okay, here's the deal, I just Supped up my POH Designer. It now has accessibility to a Dungeon. UNFORTUNATELY I know NOTHING about the Dungeon system. If you wish to add anything else just post here please. I've honestly been working on this code for about four hours, revamping everything, testing it out, double checking, AND debugging all of these dang flaws that suddenly showed up. Now, to Saam. Just like Before you're advertising on someone elses thread. Why not just make a thread for yourself? Secondly you can tell, in the least, that my Designer was first based on post dates. Look at mine, June 5th, now look at Convenes, June 15th. 10 day difference. Again that at least proves mine to be the first displayed out here. I'm not going to debate whose is more accessible (Yours, Mine, or Convenes) because I don't want to spam my own thread! It's 11:26 PM here in Illinois. I've been at this for four hours. It's time for sleep (after I edit the main post). Good night everyone, hope you enjoy the new and improved POH Designer.
  12. Whoops! Sorry for not editing my first post. My RS files were moved to another folder on my site recently so I had to edit the post and change the file extensions. SHOULD work now. :D
  13. GREAT JOB! All of them look great! Firemaking, though is a bit lacking. That was going to be my first 99 (I still want it to be, but it's a lot of work AND the cape isn't going to be as awesome as I was hoping for).
  14. BUMPDATE! Just added in the costume room for those that are interested. Just in light of recent events I thought that the first EVER POH Designer should reflect the changes. EDIT: I've got to get going to my classes, please leave any comments or criticisms.
  15. The game always did look fun but it's so far away! It looks fairly intricate and thus would be a put off to more people.
  16. Some of them are debatable (I'm looking at you Stilev) but for the most part the things I listed as not done are not done. -More pets and followers with different properties and abilities. (The Current Rock and Goldfish have no properties or abilities) -In game versions of our boardgames such as chess and draughts. No Chess, I should have broken it up. -Using the farming skill to grow herbs and plants in the grounds of your house. Build your own private party areas and shop areas, and more! You cannot chop those trees, you don't have herbs yet -Randomly generated scenarios, where a new adventure is generated for you and your friends each time you go on it. Form an adventuring party and go on your own personal quest. Burgh De'Rott you CANNOT go with your friends. A quest would have a storyline and not just a single mission of "Get this person out of here". [/rebuttal]
  17. Hey, Nice organizational pattern you've got there. Very helpful when your Blog gets really big.
  18. A bit of a bump from the back of the page. First off I've just completed the first of my goals. I now have crafted 1k of each elemental Rune. Unfortunately I'm stuck carrying 3.5k Earth Runes because I have way over the f2p limit of items. But aside from that I just want to give a little rant. Miners Respect. Back in my day (Wow, I feel old saying that!) when you were at the Mining Guild you would never, EVER mine a rock that someone else was mining or got to you beforehand. If you DID then the generally accepted rule was to offer the ore to the other person (which you of course, being the decent being you are would decline). What the heck happened? Did I miss something between the transition of RSC and RS2? As I'm starting my coal mining extravaganza, even at 1 AM Central Standard Time, a Chicago server has about ten people in the Mining guild. Not a single one of them followed the age old traditions set down by their forefathers. When I first joined the Mining Guild back in RSC I learned two things, it's not right to enter with a Dwarven Stout AND you do not steal someone elses ore! You learn this by the polite interactions of others. For example "Hey, do you mind not mining the ore that someone else is mining?". Something simple like that and with common courtesy people learned how to act down there! But I suppose with this massive influx of people joining the game, it's become more competitive. Look at it this way: the minimum level to get onto the Mining High Scores is 53  . That is ridiculous! There are just too many people trying to get these ores! The solutions to this are many. One, increase number of servers, two, create alternatives to the Mining Guild (i.e. the Mining Carts), three, create a higher level guild for those with 70+ mining. If Jagex really wants the Higher Leveled players to be happy, give them better training options, make it so that you must complete a series of quests with various high leveled requirements and then spoil these players. Jagex has already decreased the learning curve for RS because of the tutors, now those little newbies who didn't know how to fight or use magic and didn't have the common sense to look for help from fan sites are now starting to gain levels and get "up there". They've spoiled the incoming crop of players. They, Jagex, has created many, many quests tailored to the mid-ranged player because that's how far most of their players have gotten. They are now taking steps in the right direction by honoring the players that have had great accomplishments with the "Achievement Capes" that are planned to be released this month. But that is by far not enough. Reward players who have reached the upper levels! Give them a break when it comes to reaching those few last levels, make it not as TEDIOUS! Mini-games are a huge thing for higher-leveled players as it's a break from the norm. But they deserve something more for being such diligent players! Lastly I believe that we should have some sort of creation date for each of our accounts so we know EXACTLY how old our accounts are, just another thing to show your age/dedication to the game. I feel like such an old fogie when I talk about RSC. There are people out there who are purely RS2 players and have reached levels far beyond anything that I've reached. But I at least have known the game for years more than them, I experienced when the Developer to User communication was more personal and less proffessional. But times they are a changin'. In four years from now Runescape will still be around but how many of "us", the original players, the few, the scattered, the Classic players? For every player that is covered in cobwebs, who weeps for the loss of a world once shared by few, who fades, slowly but surely, away from the game and the community that he once belonged to and swore by steadfastly, there arrives tens of new players, each being only a shard that fits irregularly into the place left by the archaic player. Few of them reach a level, a figurative level, that is similar to that of their predecessor. Yes, I belive that the RS community is degrading, but I cannot say that everyone is bad, in fact far from it, I've had fun with hundreds of these new people, I've made some good friends with young newbies. But if they do reach a point in which their ineptitude shows, I cut them loose. I belive eventually there will be a HUGE divide between Higher-levels and lower-levels. The maximum a player who is only a shard will reach is around fifty, enough to have beaten Dragon Slayer. From there they will settle and simply brood and debate where he/she fits into this game and whether or not to continue it (for example move into the members worlds). But many will not. Which will cause a great gap to exist between the mid 50's and the upper 80's. Those who are in the upper 80's are generally accepted by the elite class of 100+. These higher leveled players will form their own websites, their own forums, they will share game secrets, assists you in mini-games, aid you in quests, your success will be dependent upon them and you must integrate with them or be cast out. Of course there will be the few that will browse website like Tip.it and still aid the lesser caste. What of those caught in-between these two sides? My best guess is they would not want to associate with those of the lower levels and will strive, as best they can, to level as fast as they can to the higher ranks. Then we have the ones who will not become members and yet are still 100+. These will be very outspoken people, they will be on forums constantly demanding update for F2P, telling people not to be so divided! I could not tell you how their struggle will turn out. In summary here is what I believe is happening now. Currently everything is just fine. But in a few years as our pseudo-famous forum members start declaring their retirement it will set the stage for new people to arise to similar internet fame. These new high-classers will be todays normal players. Generation Two (Gen 2) for ease. Gen 2 will be alright as well. I believe it is Gen 4 that will be the problem. These will be the players who have only learned from the shards of well-fitting pieces. This will begin the seperation, more and more players who only reach the level 50 mark will be playing in the F2P world. As more of them begin to exist, the higher leveled players will start migrating further towards members. I'd say it will take about four years to reach Gen 4. At this time I'm sure that internet accessibilty will have greatly improved. People will be able to make websites with their eyes closed and one hand tied behind their back. Groups and organizations will begin to form requiring Combat Levels above 70, 80, 90, etc. When people begin to seperate themselves from the newbie generations they'll begin to develop the same ideas, act similarly towards the lower caste of players. And then the mid ranged players will have to decide if they want to belong with the lower caste OR work their way to the higher levels to join the elite forces of RS. Held up high behind password protected forums and websites these higher leveled players will be comprised of late teens and young adults. They will find it neccessary to only associate themseles with each other, train with each other, quest with each other. By then the Higher level content will surely have been increased and they will be satisfied. WOW  . This was honestly supposed to be just something to say "Hey, I completed one of my goals!" and it turned into a rant and an "End of the RS World as we know it" tirade! Sorry if I've offended anyone. I guess I do not see the peace of Runescape lasting for much longer. It does make sense for people to band together with people similar to them. And groups like that are already forming, I can guarantee they'll be more prevelant in the future with Clan-Support and Random Scenarios that will come out some time soon (hypothetically). Again, sorry if I offend anyone. I think that everyone here on Tip is pretty much made of good material. It's just those that follow in the next four years, I cannot say. I'm pretty sure that I'll be one of those high levels in the future complaining about the low levels and hanging out only with those who think similarly. I know it sounds bad but if simple traditions as Miners Respect cannot remain in RS, then perhaps a mass exodus of high levels should take place? It is not for me to know, I can only make an educated guess. I can't wait for four years from now and see what it will be like. Discuss if you wish.
  19. So we can have heat-seeking auto-cannons but we can't have a primitive 15th century arquebus? I am personally expecting firearms from the Eastern update. The Japanese were the first to perfect the matchlock as a weapon of honour, instead of the peasant's tool. hehe, Barihawk, so defenisve of your idea (which I thought was very nice). On-Topic: GREAT JOB! Look fantastic! Those new skill icons look absolutely perfect. The text box size probably wouldn't be THAT big but nonetheless, looks great and I think you've probably got it down. They'll probably never put in a scroll bar (except in 2010 when there are another four skills released).
  20. Sorry for bumping this old-ish topic, but I think that this is important to remember. Look at that! Here's what's left -A large 'frozen lands' area including penguins, mammoths, polar bears and more. -Summoning spells - summon skeletons, demons, etc...! -More pets and followers with different properties and abilities. -Many new monsters such as Orcs, Lizardmen and more. -In game versions of our boardgames such as chess and draughts. -Using the farming skill to grow herbs and plants in the grounds of your house. Build your own private party areas and shop areas, and more! -Clan support, to allow you to optionally form your own clans with your friends. -Randomly generated scenarios, where a new adventure is generated for you and your friends each time you go on it. Form an adventuring party and go on your own personal quest. That's 24 different items. They've completed 16, leaving 8 things left to do. In little over two years they've managed to complete 2/3 of their list, that's quite an accomplishment! Keep in mind that POH's are included in their list, and we all can agree that POHs were an amazing update. Personally I'm looking forward to the Randomly Generated Scenarios, clan support (I'm interested as to what that will develop into), AND the additions to the POHs. Also we know that Jagex works YEARS in advance. Carpentry/Construction had been in progress since RSC for goodness sake! I can wait for these updates, but I'm pretty sure that they'll be coming out within the next year or so. Discuss what Jagex has done (hopefully people will read through this thread and at least see their current checklist). Edit:I didn't realize it but I did the same exact thing with a checklist when this thread was first posted. . Not much has changed apparently :anxious:
  21. Well, this has been going on for nearly a year now! He's one skillful dude
  22. OMG! SWEET! Sorry for not posting a picture but I have to say that Valhalla's here is AMAZING looking.
  23. I'd just want a slightly larger file size. Any particular reason why it's limited to 30Kb? I'd LOVE to have it to be 35 or 40!
  24. But doesn't Jagex put in sometimes obscure references to TV, Movies, and Books into their game?
  25. There's also the pharoh's sceptre. It looks similar to the Rings that the main enemy (The egyptian people, can't think of the name) used to teleport and whatnot.
