That's a good policy. Moderators are not paid for their time, let them do as they see fit. Just be glad that you've got a nice place like Tip.it to be a part of and be appreciative to the staff for doing quite well already. I'm just wondering about Moderator time zone distribution. Do we have enough moderatorst that span all of the time zones and a surplus of mods for the busier hours? That is my only problem with the Tip.it Mods, occassionally there seems to be very few Moderators online but then again a great deal of the boards are dead at certain hours.

http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=478642 Don't worry about Post Count. It means absolutly nothing, it's the quality of your post, not the quantity.

Do what ever you want with this topic. Lock/Delete, up to u
tefda replied to Montezuma's topic in Art and Media
It looks like it's straight out of a comic book and you added some text. I'd say Batman or Green Arrow. It's definetly old and not from modern day comics (they're all so fancy with their details and whatnot. What happened to good ol' fill in the colors and do simple shading? Edit: Why don't you tell us if it's yours or not? Be honest, what's the point in lieing to a bunch of random strangers? -
Which is why it's looked down upon, BUT it's more common in the market forums, seeing as not everyone surfs over there. Be creative when you bump and say "I'm still looking for runners" and give a little bit of progress on it. Also I believe that posts in the Market Forums do NOT count to your post count (don't quote me on that though).
-
You simply add to another post. But keep in mind that bumping old topics is looked down upon, ESPECIALLY if you've got nothing to contribute to the post. But seeing as your thread there is actually calling out for a service you'd be A-OKAY to bump that up.

~ Big Profits at the Blast Furnace, 500k gp an Hour ~
tefda replied to NukeMarine's topic in General Guides
My only beef with this is that you want to use Runners. I don't like having to be dependent on others to get me my ore, but for those that are okay with it's super :D ! I'm thinking about mining a huge amount of Mithril and coal over the next few months until summer. I'd probably be using the Dwarven Furnace to cut down Coal amounts. PLUS if I just stick around and do my part to help out I can STILL get smithing xp. And some xp in comparison to no XP is better than anything! Can't wait until I'm a member again! -
Glee :D Also there's Convene_inc's http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=477257 Very good but needs to be downloaded I believe.

jwrm22's 99 cooking party... 4815th to 99 cooking
tefda replied to jwrm22's topic in General Discussion
Congrats! If I manage to be online, I'll come over and say Congratulations in person. Also, try this world clock -
What's the interface going to be like? Drag and Drop? Will there be a random button? Will all the eyes just be the lines or will there be variety? Just curious. They look great!

 But Bubsa, some people are actually looking for a career. Maybe a fully blown game might take a long, long, LONG time to do but at least if he trys he can take a step to computer programming. There are only TWO people I know of here that could POSSIBLY vouch for GameMaker, that is Bloodveld and Convene_inc. They're the top dogs of GameMaker and I'm 90% sure that they would say that GameMaker would NOT be good for an MMORPG. I'm sure they'd point out in some highly technical and descriptive manner that GameMaker would not be able to do it. So No. On-Topic: If you have all the time in the world then you are BOUND to create something. Whether it's good or not, we won't know, but it's still something! Take your time! Don't expect your project to be the best thing! Take the advice of these guys and keep it small at first and expand as you go. Also to future generations for those who search the forums with the keywords, C#, C++, Programming, Making Games, etc., what Bjbj said... is extremely smart! I never even thought about that, if you show a company you're applying for your examples you'll instead of just writing on your Resume that you're experienced in the language. Of course anyone who's certified in the language will definetly have examples of their own. Here's some more advice to those looking at this later on. If you don't major in a programming language but you've still experimented with it, DO NOT BE AFRAID TO PUT IT ON YOUR RESUME! Any knowledge of programming languages will be an impressive addition to your resume! That's it. Good luck Nazgul, in four years you have better made some headway and have at least a basic construct of your game!

Is it a really, really old topic? I think I might recall one from ages ago. But if you're thinking of one where someone noticed the Monty Python references in-game then I'd have to say that THIS thread is more-so for all of the references. A sort of list of the spoofs that Jagex has placed in the game. A thread like this (if it's comprehensive) is needed!

the tutors says different things in members world
tefda replied to Viv's topic in General Discussion
It makes total sense for the tutors to say something different to members and non-members! When you're a member, Karamja is by FAR not the best place to go. Therefore they should suggest to go to Catherby! I think putting in a different message for members and non-members is great! Very smart thinking, there are newbies in the members worlds too. Go Jagex! -
Try This. That should help.

Sure it's possible! I remember I helped out a person by walking with them through the Underground and killed the main enemy until they were about five health. The only problem is that you might die before you can deal five damage to it! But with a high level buddy you could definetly do it, you'll just need to be sure you can hit somewhat (Rings of Recoil is a good idea)

This is difficult to question answer. The amount of wood that woodchucks would chuck on a given day varies greatly with the individual woodchuck. According to a Wall Street Journal article, New York State wildlife expert Richard Thomas found that a woodchuck could chuck around 35 cubic feet of dirt in the course of digging a burrow. Thomas reasoned that if a woodchuck could chuck wood, he would chuck an amount equal to 700 pounds. source: http://www.raptureready.com/faq/faq50.html NICE! Great find  !

 I think it's pretty cool. Looks far more video-game esque than anything real (Not metallic and the fact that it's turquoise :D )

Alright! Just fixed that silly little "Avoid fighting monsters by clicking through the scroll" bug. Also one you guy didn't mention was that the Monsters health bar would change rapidly if they hit the wall and took out the Training grounds. I honestly don't know what is causing the battles to pop up "every second". Theoretically it's supposed to pop up every 18 seconds and be reset when you go back to the city and it cannot be shown when you have another menu up! I just don't know what would be causing that :x . I think we've worked out all of the bugs guys (except of course the one I just mentioned  ). If you've got anything else to say, please do and look forward to my next game some time later this month!

I've watched HardRock Hallelujah about twenty times now. GREAT stuff! Reminds me of when I sort of listened to Rock and whatnot (a little Ozzy/Black Sabbath) but not any more. Their songs are catchy and definetly not bland and worn out material that these other metal heads produce (But I'm no expert on the subject of Metal :? )

Yahoo can't give me personal insights. I figured the audience of Tip.it would be wide enough to encompass world traveling students.

Hey everyone, I'm currently a Freshmen in an Illinois College. I plan on studying abroad to further my understanding of the german language as well as to get a taste of what it would be like living there. I am a marketing major and I am minoring in German. I plan on working either in Germany or America for a Germany or American company. This brings me to my point. I am looking for other students who've studied at SALZBURG COLLEGE in AUSTRIA (preferably as Study Abroad students, but actual students would do just as well). I'm just looking for your opinions of the school and the program there. To any other Study Abroad students, if you want to contribute you could also reply with information about your trip to wherever you went and the positive or negative experiences. I've got over a year to plan for this so there's no rush but I'm trying to get as much planned for it so I can coordinate my schedule to this trip (Making sure I have at least 60 hours by my Junior year, making sure I've met the other requirements for getting into the school of business, whether or not to take summer school, etc.). Thanks for responding!

Yeah, someone noticed that and I THINK I said that I didn't want to change that, it's either that or I don't know how to (I think I do, but I don't know and I don't want to try). There's no real advers effects of being able to upgrade the buildings, whereas... SSSSHHHHHHHHH :anxious: :ohnoes: ! (Will Fix)

.:: Tip.it collaboration grid ::. FINALLY FINISHED!

I just have to say that everyone who's doing this you're doing a GREAT job! Looks amazing. -
Yep. That sounds so sketchy :anxious:

What he said :D . I was thinking about making the archers fire but then I was realized I would have to do trig for it and add in another element and have it test whether or not it hit the monster and whatnot. For the moment, they're not going to do much, they sacrifice themselves. Maybe later once I get a break from my other game I'll update with them shooting. Also it took me a couple months to make but if we're looking for cumulative hours I'd say about three weeks worth of time (including updating with this, making its page, updating site with it, etc.) I just had a lot of things to do in August and September that I had little time to work on Flash.

Yeah you need to press A, S or D to control them. Lest we forget. <-- -------------- You're supposed to find his one weakness. Aim for a target on his face. I'll give you a hint. Think of something essential and something that would be a target for a monstrous creature such as that. Remember in Myths and Folklore, Dragons have a much tougher hide than in Runescape (Normally a single warrior wouldn't be able to kill a dragon!)
