  1. Well we all know that the newest one is like Adamantite so following along with that we could guess Alcolyte would be Rune and then supposedly Partisan would be like Dragon. But that doesn't make sense because Jagex has constantly said "Dragon is the most powerful armor that does not require upkeep" so I'll bet Partisan will just be a level 50 defence. I'd want it to be a level 70 defence armor that's similar to Barrows. It could have a connection where a Temple Knight actually killed the Barrow Brothers and was working with the Evil Wizard who imprisoned their souls and whatnot. The armor could then be very strong but require an upkeep just like Barrows armor. Would be interesting to say the least (Bonus to fighting undead perhaps?).

  3. From reading Barihawk's post on how he found Paul just sitting around it makes me wish we still got personal insights into the Jagex world. It may have not had ANYTHING to do with the game but it was pretty cool to know more about the team and more about the company itself and its creators. It was that connection with the team, although never actually meeting them, I still felt as if there was a connection a greater feeling of being a part of something and not just being a consumer to a machine. Ah the good ol' days when Paul was up to 200 Sit-ups a day. I wonder how many he can do today?
  4. Really great blog you've got going! Plenty of interest and I have to admit, your sig drew me into it. :D
  5. Well I have all of those except for the fishing one... so I suppose I'd like to have 76 fishing. That way I'd be cutting, mining, AND fishing some of the best stuff out there.
  6. If you don't host a page and say "Play RS here instead of at Runescape.com!" I'd think you'd be good. If you just keep it as an .html file on your desktop, that'd be even better. It's techenically not using a third party software since it's still in the browser. You're good but still send in a query if you're not sure about it.
  7. That is disgusting. Same thing to the person who's trying to avoid their parents block of the website. Listen to your parents kids, they generally have a good idea on what's right and wrong and if you're spending too much time on something or not. Once you hit high school, that's when you can be rebelious, but be rebelious only to the degree where you can still talk to your parents about important matters (Drugs, Alcohol, Sexual relations). Don't disobey your parents when it comes to something as simple as Runescape. Show them the game, negotiate with them, prove to them that you are responsible and will still do well in school while still being able to play Runescape and going outside! On-Topic: My parents trust me in making the right decisions, they have very little to worry and as some of you know I've quit being a member to focus more on school work. Having them not barging into your room and leaving you be is called being able to trust them and they to trust you. It's easy if you get started on the right foot but can be a pain to earn back. Do NOT take these generally loving folks of your for granted. Listen to them, they have some great knowledge to dispense before their time is up with you. Once you hit college and you don't see them every day that's pretty much it except for the summers and breaks. Live, Love, and Learn from them.
  8. Good idea! I'm way too afraid of being destroyed up there and losing thousands in Runes. I think I'd do the exact same stuff I do normally but it'd feel weird, not seeing anyone yelling about how they pwn or got pwned or was watching some be pwned while pwning someone else (I spend a lot of time in the Varrock East bank for Rune essence on F2P worlds) would be so strange. I wouldn't feel lonely or anything, but it wouldn't be the same Runescape.
  9. Why? They are the number one, the biggest, the top dogs of Java programming! If they move onto something else they'll be nothing but common shills in comparison to the big companies like Blizzard and Sony. The game is just fine the way it is, it's netting the Gower's millions undoubtedly and therefore why fix something that isn't broken?
  10. Weren't you the one who had all of those beers? You had a sig picture with a bunch of RS beers and your character and some text (Yeah, I know, real vague, but it carries the message well)?
  11. He's got a point (and as many others above me have said) it's a bit tedious gathering up the soft clay and all, why not just have them there for instant use. What I'll be doing is setting up two rooms and have every single teleport except watchtower (because in the end my house will reside there). That way I can just teleport to my home and then off and away I'm going to whichever destination I choose. But you did come up with a good idea. It makes sense, especially if you're already making bulk teleportation tablets. If you've got the clay, then go for it.
  12. Dude ever heard of family problems? Some people lead sheltered lives :ohnoes:  But nonetheless, this is HIS event and he is the one who is ORGANIZING it all. Give him a little respect, this is a massive event that requires a lot of work and it is his right to be able to enjoy it, so if he needs to push it back, so be it. I'm sure you'd feel the same way if you were making an event and yet something happened to you that forced it to be pushed back :!:
  13. Cut wood, sell to members, merchant Rune items (start with Rune Scimitars, buy low, sell higher), use your skills (can you smith a full set of armor?)! You can do just about anything with skills, focus on that and you'll get your cash back soon enough.
  14. Everyone of course has to fall back on the DROW being Dark Elves! Why doesn't anyone point out characters such as Dalamar the Dark? Why does everyone focus the sterotype that a Dark Elf must be purple/black/blue skinned, white hair, and lives beneath ground? In Dragonlance, a Dark elf was simply an elf that was kicked out of the main elven civilizations and could never, EVER, come back. I'd like to see some disjected Elf Wizard heading up the Dark Wizard tower and working along side the evil person involved in the Plague Series.
  15. It makes sense in a way to be able to fail, eventually someone would notice you after reaching into their pockets again and again for an hours.

    Runescape Versus WoW

World of Warcraft is better in some instances: Amazing Visuals, Wonderful backstory that is known by millions of people across the globe (If you don't know what I'm talking about, you're younger than me), great PVP, unique spells, interesting armor/equipment, etc. The major one I want to bring up is their "Life Begins at 60" campaign. In World of Warcraft I got to level 13 in a matter of two days (I no lifed for those two days, but boy-howdy when I saw Hogger go down for the nth time I was so happy! Being a mage is very, VERY fun. But I digress (sort of) as many people know you can level up in WoW very quickly (you think it's very quickly but before you realize it, a day's gone by, but nonetheless) and they (Blizzard) KNOWS this. Since their game is played by so many and lots of people max out their skills (you only get two skills and your combat level and then other spells/abilities to use) they want to have their players who are maxed out to still have a good time. This is where RS and WoW truly differentiate. With Runescape being a free game and whose target audience is 13-18 and advertised as a "You can play anywere" game there are not all too many "High Levels" out there. I consider people 120+ High leveled. With the insignificant numbers of the upper class players we see little to no updates for them. That is where Jagex falls in my book. I know that they cannot focus all too much on their high leveled players because there are so few of them but I would like to see a level 80 armor set, a more diverse use of skills past 70, etc. If there were more High leveled players out there then we'd see these great and amazing updates and super powered boss monsters that couldn't be soloed or anything like that. I am eagerly awaiting two things that will help Runescape grow, a superior pking/clan system (with actual Clans, rankings, sharing of plunder etc.) AND the random adventures that you can go on with a group of friends. Personally I would love to dive into a randomly created dungeon with a bunch of people and just loot and pillage (See Diablo). Once those two things are out I would be very happy and some of the upper leveled players would be happy as well (Imagine if you will, 3 level 126 players diving into a dungeon and fighting an altered(Higher leveled, different look, can poison, etc.) Lesser Demon, more powerful dragons, and skeletal giants, all of it influenced by your level and skills).
  17. Sorry Rhino, but I don't think any updates have really killed a skill. They generally are improvements, personally I like it when a skill becomes a little bit easier, helps my total skill levels  I'm sure SOMEONE will argue that RS2 ruined Runescape but I AM NOT saying that.
  18. I think the idea is great! I wish I had used it before but I'm *out of luck* on this one (no more membership). I suppose during my F2P I'll try to get enough material for 68 Smithing! I can't wait for the free smithing xp to roll in! I could really, REALLY use an easier way to train Smithing. Edit: Oh yeah, I would favor this idea because of it's money-saving efforts. Training a skill to 99 is going to be slow, no matter what. I'd rather spend a few more minutes doing something and save myself a couple mil instead of wasting my vast fortunes of 2 Million gold! If that acronym meant what I thought it did you should know better, lol. -RAHK-
  19. Sound like quite a feat! Good luck getting those levels, also is your list in order of desire or just a plain ol' list?
  20. Hmmm... I can see Jagex actually doing that but I don't think it'd be a grand idea. Why not just make it difficult to get there and have to complete a hard quest for it? Do you have to die in order to create Death Runes?
  21. Well here are the few screenshots I got of my little party. Wish more of you showed up :( That's it, I'm out of Membership. I have EXTREME doubts that I'll be playing very often but who knows. I do know that if I'm playing I'll be mining Essence or Ores, or Crafting Basic Elemental Runes. I'll be sure to post my latest games in the gallery though (I've got some great ones in the making so far and my newest one is the MOST COMPLEX game I've made yet).
  22. Wow, thanks a lot Jon. Those are some sincere words. I hope you had fun.
  23. Hey everybody, I'm kind of there right now (just showing up a little bit early) but I'm very, VERY laggy so if I disconnect DON'T PANIC! Hopefully by the time we get to my house I'll have a greater control of the internet connection.
  24. I agree with that! The more complex the harder it will be for many people to coordinate with it. Since not many people like to "follow the leader" and generally just follow one person in groups and then people get cluttered and it just doesn't look good. But nonetheless I think your mad dash approach would be the best idea as it's just running through, no formations, easier to do it. I would LOVE to go to this but as some of you might know I'm running out of membership time :(
  25. This is my LAST bump for this. I've edited with my Username and I'll see you all tomorrow!
