Hey there! I'm looking to decide as to whether or not complete the Swan Song Quest and the Lunar Diplomacy Quest. I have 27 Days of Membership left and I want to use it to its best. Now I've only got 62 Magic but I can easily train it using Pest Control up to 66 (the necessary level for Swan Song). I just need to know if completing those two quest are worthwhile (meaning would the rewards be worth the trouble of raising my Magic level from 62 to 66?) Here are my most current stats. It's either work towards completing those quests or do some MORE pest control to get Herb Packs and Seed packs to level up those other skills that are lacking.

Closed house!!! Level 80 construction! thanks all!
tefda replied to mad4beanies's topic in General Discussion
Edit: Problem Solved  Also well done on getting up so high! You've gone really fast, I remember it like it was just yesterday when the skill was brand new. Ahh those days... -
You've been mislead. That particulat "Abyss" is not one used for Runecrafting. All it is useful is for collected pouches and killing Abyssal Demons.

But don't you find guys playing as girls slightly more weird? I know it's not an extension of a persons real self but the things you do in the game can reflect upon who you are outside the game. To me the only difference between a "Dragon Skirt" and "Dragon Pants" is the name. They both serve the exact same function with the exact same results. Just because one is different than the other doesn't mean anything. The smarter man (or women) will wear the skirt as it costs less and does the exact same thing. If ever I got a Dragon Leg Drop I'd sell it and buy myself a Dragon Skirt, thus giving me a lot more money! Don't worry about the "fashion" choices of the other players. Do what you think is alright. If wearing a skirt on a character in a game is wrong to you, then don't do it.

Kill off the Gorilla in the Temple, Kill a monkey archer, and kill a zombie monkey in the dungeon beneath ape atoll. After doing so and gathering their bodies (don't be worried if it isn't a corpse or a "gorilla bones", all they should really say are monkey bones). Then get three blank GreeGree's from the Magic Shop or the General Store on Ape Atoll, not sure which one exactly. Then go back into the dungeon where rocks fell on you and reach all the way to the gnome wizard and have him create your greegrees. As simple as that  .

Few people trade axe handles or the blades of an axe. If the axe head is better than one you currently own then try chopping trees until the head falls off and then place the better head on your newly accquired handle. You can always make a post saying that you're buying a handle in the Market Boards. Edit: I was talking about Woodcutting axes but it still has the same meaning

Is Jagex deliberately leaking new prayers?
tefda replied to RaggyTramp1's topic in General Discussion
It would be unfair on the mages and rangers to put them higher, that would mean that meleers don't have to raise their prayer as high. I do agree that their should be prayers higher than 52, no other skill has the highest option at 52 :xI'm not saying THESE prayers, just other ones, maybe new ones, seems that every year since I've been playing RS theres been another set of prayers. Looks like i'll buy able to use these prayers though But no other skill is as boring or difficult to train. -
That makes sense, so long as it doesn't recur in every Tzhaar conversation then it could be a unique word like that and we all can agree that the Jad is a uniqe monster. 8-)
-
Exactly. It's generally used to prevent people from selling YOUR stats or items on places such as Ebay. Place NFS on your pics that display your stats or you in expensive armor and you'll have prevented someone from buying a fake account.

World 66 where you provide 27 essence and get 27 Laws and the 27 essence back. World 99 where you provide 28 Essence and get no essence back but instead 28 laws.

You stole mine  ! But nonetheless I'd have to say that my goals would be (in the immediate future)... 70 Ranged 75 Attack, Strength, Defence, Hit Points 66 Mage And for the big ones.... 99 Firemaking 99 Fletching 100 combat 66 Smithing 57+ Herblore All Skills 60+ Primarily be able to do all of the quests and that's about it. As of now I'm simply training at Pest Control for those short term stats and then I'll be using Pest Control again to get loads and loads of Herbs.

a tears of guithix experiment- all done results inside
tefda replied to ashozzy2's topic in General Discussion
I'll bet that's it seeing as a lot of Construction gives a third or a half of a point. Either that or as DarkDude said in their code they just run through it and the last one it hits would get the xp. I'll bet in the code it goes through it alphabetically and so Runecrafting would be the last one. That's what I would do at least. -
Jagex has never made a dramatic change like that (The new level requirements for the prayers) ever. I don't think they'll start now. But then again I've got a feeling in my gut that says Jagex is trying to make their game harder and therefore would be for a rewrite to the protection prayers. But no harm no foul to me, I've already beaten Legends and with my current stats I'd have enough for Protect from Magic and I could still do the Mage Arena Mini-Game and get a god cape!

Tears of Guthix MINI-game guide -info needed!
tefda replied to iwatake's topic in General Discussion
If you'll look at the Lumbridge Caves Map you'll see by going into the Basement of the Lumbridge Castle and using the little shortcut you've got a straight shot to the cave and no Wall Beasts are about. Also you might want to include the fact that the Bullseye Lantern is the best as it will never go out. All the others can be destroyed/explode/run out of gas(Not sure on this one) also it's important to bring a tinderbox to avoid another message when entering the caves. -
Holy Crud! How did you guys find them already? That's pretty snazzy, well done!

The Gower Bro's never thought of Pures, they didn't want people to be Pures because it upset the balance of the game and they rewrote the game combat system to try to make up for it. Prayer is used to give those with it an advantage over those who have refuted that skill. I would be very happy to see a horde of new prayers that give us an advantage preferably a distinct advantage and not just another +5% defence.

~KING OF THE ISLAND~~ HUGE F2P FIGHT PIT EVENT !! {AUGUST 5}
tefda replied to Oryx80's topic in General Discussion
Why does no one know how to USE THIS!? Good luck to those who show up! Sounds like a heck of a fight. -
Your post gave me an idea, what if (when using a stat boosting prayer) your weapon/armor glowed? :o *has no idea how you got that from his post* Anyway, I doubt they'd do that as I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Elemental Weapons some time this/next year which would probably have a glow depending on what element they are. That'd be interesting. A little bit of other game history here, before City of Heroes came out you could preorder the game and by doing so you could choose between a variety of extra features for your superhero. They consisted of a glow or something radiating around you as you did your super-stuff. I just thought it was really cool to have this perpetual glow around you that set you apart from the crowd. A high level prayer that gave you a glow would definetly make you noticeable in a crowd which would be pretty darn cool.

Sticking around in Taverly is a great place to start, you've got a few quests and the start of Herblore there. It's an introduction to membership without going too far from where you're familiar with (Falador and the F2P lands). Also the Fishing Contest Quest is paramount to anyone's success in the P2P worlds when they first start out. Crossing White Wolf Mountain again and again become very tedious. But yeah, Darkdude's got it right, take a step back and look over what we've got and start to assimilate it into your Runescape knowledge. Welcome and enjoy!

Well what do you want to do? Before you became a member you should've looked through all of our content and decided on what you wanted to do on your first day. If you're a high level combat person try Pest Control, great fun and fast experience. If you're level 90+ try joining up with Affliction for the best experience you can just about get (link is in my sig). For now, take a moment to look at quests you can do and different areas near the F2P worlds I'd suggest hanging around in Taverly and doing the Fishing Contest quest.

FuBai! Great connection! That's really a good job on spotting that. I don't want the demons to change! They look alright to me. The Giants and dragons could change I suppose but I've been happy with them, they're up to the Jagex Standard (You can take that as a bad thing or a good thing) but I can't stop the change, alas!

Jagex has been hiring a lot lately. Also They have toured Schools in the Past primarily for hiring purposes. Off-topic: After looking over Craven's old post about that I think we aught to have some sort of Runescape Weblog of the happenings behind the scenes and the intricacies of the Jagex workplace. Basically the Nintendo Power for Runescape.

Sicko You just get used to the fact that runescape is monotonous. lol i didnt mean it that way FIX THE QUOTES... for goodness sakes... sorry for the spam

Got it from some1 else and t-shirt...didn't know it was illegal to resuse lines  Think it might have something to do with the crate you hide in to fight that like vampire in a certain quest (where you get in crate to go to their house cuz it next to water or something) It's not illegal it's just a bit scandalous  . On-Topic: The time you hide in a crate to get to a castle was in the Merlin Quest where you had to get into the LaFaye keep via the Candle Shipment. The crate you hide in is next to the candle shop in Catherby and when you get in there you'd be taken to the back of the castle. Maybe you're talking about a more recent quest (I haven't done a couple of the higher up ones such as Desert Treasure or the Fairy 2 quest)?

Now my advice is dependent upon what you want to do with your skills. Are you looking for fast combat levels, extremely large sums of experience thrusted upon you about every two hours of dedicated time, are you ready to lead a life of quick pace monster killing? If you've answered yes than I would suggest joining up with Affliction. Click the link in my sig and you'll be setting sails to the Void Knight Outpost with the finest and some of the deadliest players in all of Runescape. Now granted you need to gain one more combat level but if you consult the Tip.it Combat Calculator you'll find what you need to do to gain that level. Now let's say by some obscure chance that you say no to the heaps of gold and experience gained by joining up with affliction and playing fast paced (and thus a need to be dedicated to that time period of gameplay) Pest Control games than you need to think about what you want to make of your skills. When training combat BEFORE Affliction I would train it on what I wanted to work on, for example when I wanted to train Herblore I would go off to the Agility Dungeon and kill Chaos Druids for herbs. Slayer works exceptionally well with this as well. You just need to look for opportunities to increase your combat skill while training other skill (or preparing to train the skills). But really, gain another combat level, come on over to Afflliction and you'll be extremely satisfied with it all.
