What's your combat level? The average Abyss Pker is in the 80-100 Range so if you're below that by about 9 or so levels you should go right under their detection. If you're doing Chaos Runes you don't even need to use a glory amulet. Just go out the exit of the Chaos Altar and then run back to edgeville and bank your chaos. A little tip is to go 180 degrees in the Abyss because that is where the Entrance that requires no skills lies. That way you can bring your 28 Essence if you don't have any pouches. Chaos Crafting at the Abyss is very easy so long as you bank and don't mind losing some Essence every once and a while. Bring low level equipment if need be (i.e. A Bronze Pickaxe or Bronze Hatchet)

Great Answer! :shame: On-Topic: I think it would be very nice if there was an autocast option for them. It'd make attacking far easier, but I know from the Iban staff that you've only got about 120 casts on it and then it's broken (You can't cast the spell anymore). I'd like to see an easier way of recharging the Iban Staff before there is an autocast for it. Maybe something in the Magic Guild, but an auto-cast for the god spells would be nice, but Jagex probably reasons that it would be too powerful seeing as they're strong for their levels and they don't want Uber powerful mages roaming around destroying everything they see with five or six god spells casted quickly.
-
I'm sure Jagex has thought about that... It was probably made so that you can't go there without going there the original way first... like they'd make the Teleport Ring simply place you 3 spaces away. But do you recall the Canifis teleport from the Player Owned Houses and the portal room? Jagex does make mistakes. We'll know for sure when someone posts "Z0MG I got into t3h PlacE!!1!!" or when someone disagrees with a fairy ring list.

Obsolete :P Not absolute :shame: Was just going to say that. On-Topic: I hate the Abyss! I only hate it because I'm the target level for the Abyss Pker's upper 80's, lower 90's. If I could do that quest, I would be doing that method to get my 20k Pure Essence made into Nature runes. But alas, only level 50 Herblore

New method of training Herblore (from Fairy Tale II quest)
tefda replied to kwimbob's topic in General Discussion
Gorak claws are a 100% drop Protection prayer do not work against them. They are lvl 145. 145 and no Protection prayers eh? Guess I won't be doing that until I'm level 126 Combat. Alas, I can wait, it might take me that long to get to 57 Herblore  . -
See, that's what I don't understand. You "worked" for your postcount? Is visiting the boards so mundane, bringing yourself to post and bless us with your prescence is "work"? :| Whoever said "Get Rid of the Ranks" (I think it was Ghostranger) I'm with you on that. They're pointless, and you get a "How do u get hier than goblin armor plz" thread every week. Down with ranks! Down with ranks! We all know that many people just spam the threads with one liners saying "Wow, nice" or "Lol!" in effort to build up their post count. You and I as well as many, MANY others do not do that, our posts are often thought out and or intelligent/witty at least. The quality of our threads and or posts are greater because we're responsible posters. It's taken me years to post over 1.000 posts and I'm happy with it whereas others have taken only months to get up to 500+ and that can be seen by the quality of their posts. Removing the ranks would be beneficial because of the bias put behind it. Sometimes I believe people go along with me or smile at my posts just because I have a high post count, they think that agreeing with someone who's well-versed in the forums will give them an edge, an advantage (I've seen it directed towards lots of others where they directly make jokes with and go off-topic because of a person who they have had little interaction with will notice it) over others because this high-post count person will recognize them. That is just a strange way to live their lives, it's like trying to rub shoulders with a celebrity while firstly doing that does nothing to benefit them and probably actually embarresses the shoulder rubber more and secondly we're not celebrities, we're just people who are active on these forums. I post here because I'm interested in the game and if you saw me in-game you'd never think twice, if you saw me sitting in a Resteraunt in Chicago you'd never even notice my face, just because I have a post count doesn't make me someone extremely important. There is a grand bias based on you when you post on forums with post counts because if you've got a high one people will look to your post with more interest. Either they'll agree with you fully or they'll take the opportunity to make light of your lack of knowledge on the topic. It's a dangerous game which we play every time High posters make a new reply on the threads. Removing the post-count would be the best idea as it would make us all equal and thus a "newbie" to the forums would be treated just as a veteran would be. To those who've "worked" for their post count that means you've been actively trying to increase your post count and that's not really what a forum is for. This place is to discuss, entertain, and relax you during the day/night as you surf it, it isn't meant to be a contest to see how fast or how high you can get your post count up. Personally I like being able to see how many posts I've made over my time here. It's refreshing to know exactly how active I've been. I would suggest perhaps a ranking based on your Join Date, but that would only further the bias based upon your post. Thus that is a bad idea. If anything your post count should be placed into your Profile so only people actively searching should see how often you post. Hopefully they can judge whether or not those posts are of a decent quality or not, but the average thread reader isn't going to be looking into the Profile of everyone just to see their post count. Hopefully this poll will NOT be swayed by those people who desire a post count and believe it to be their E-manhood  . It's just a number, a number that can be changed and removed. The quality of your post is mightier than the number of your post count. EDIT: Also I think that this poll is unfair. Think back to the recent Presidential elections (sorry for you non Americans). Ralph Nader could NOT go to the Presidential debates because he would sway votes AWAY from John Kerry. This poll has the third party voting against the SIMILAR GOAL! The poll should have two options, keep the post count and then remove post count(Actions to be Determined) and if the former wins then another poll is held to determine which action is to be taken. Right now you are spreading the votes of the "take it away" voters to thin! They aught to be combined and decision of the removal action should be taken at another date!

Here's what I find strange. Many people, tens, maybe even hundreds of people complain that Jagex releases "Easy" quests, quests which experienced players run through in minutes both because of their simplicity and their low level requirements. Now when a truly difficult, non-combat related skill requirement is needed for a quest people take it as a con! Isn't that what they wanted? A reason to train their skills, a need for a challenging quest! I've seen pictures of what you're supposed to decode and I'm amazed! It looks really tough if you're not using a guide. I'm glad that the requirements are high, now I have a new reason to train Herblore, to be able to complete this quest!

D'oh! Wrong thread. #-o

Hmmm.... I know sometimes with a Staff you'll be holding it vertical and then when you're attacking or something like that it'll be horizontal instead. I don't think they're being held different so it's probably just a quick little glitch. Unless of course you log out and then log back in and he's still holding it the same way even after you walk around a little bit. Then GOOD FIND! Otherwise BAD FIND! Eitherway HIDDEN UPDATES THREAD! :P

You mean Macromedia Falsh? :P You mean ADOBE Flash  . If you want to make little cartoony movies, stick with Flash. If you want something more serious and realistic, stick with Flash. Great program, if you have talent that is, it's a great program if you can draw and make use of it's intricacies then you'll do well with it, if not, then stop with the program all together and find something better suited for yourself. Also, are you saying that the first character is wearing Rune? The armour is green and looks like Adamantite armour. Am I missing something?

Godwars Please? The Dwarves and Goblins fight as well now in their home near Baxtorian Falls. Jagex said they were trying to improve their NPC vs. NPC methods/code so a lot of people believe that to be a new Mini-Game in which you take sides, Saradomin, or Zammorak. But that's pure speculation.
-
Hey everyone! I've been updating this guide whenever a new thought occurs to me and have been reading it again and again to make sure it's all down and a complete newbie to the mini-game could understand and do it with an expert's skill. I just got 90 Combat from Pest Control and so I'm going back down to Mor'ton to start Shade Slaying starting with the Loars, seeing as they're the easiest :D . I'll be posting up some more information in the next couple of weeks regarding Chests and whatnot.

Your option as F2P is to go to Al-Kharid and Mine the three Iron rocks and drop them. Not exactly the best thing, but that's what you've gotta do as F2P. Personally I'd rather mine all that I could at the Lumbridge Swamp Mine (Mithril, Addy, and the Coal) and walk it back to the Draynor Bank, that's what I do when I'm a non-member. When you get back to Members you've got a bunch of options. You can go the Cave goblin mines and mine the Iron veins there and sell to Mistag (the one-armed goblin) to quickly get rid of your ores. If you're really into purely power mining (Mine, then drop) you'll want to get down to the Granite Rocks in the Desert (Where you start the quest which nets you the Camulet, can't remember the name off the top of my head). That's by far the greatest XP because of it's fast respawn. I'd say, don't Power mine while F2P, just gather up some real resources occasionally, because once you go to F2P from being a member nothing is as easy as it was. When I jump back to F2P (coming up after 33 days) I just gather up Raw Materials for skills like Smithing (Coal, Mithril, Adamantite, Iron), Crafting (Silver Ore), and Runecrafting (I make Elemental Runes from the regular Rune Essence).

So they did! That's pretty interesting, perhaps that means they'll have more lands to the west. I hope not though, I just want the Elf Quests to be finished with, maybe throw in a couple more that explore the lands further north of the Elf City and that's it. The Plague City questline has been going on since time Began! Let it finally be ended for goodness sake! Plus there's much more land to the East, then they'll probably have an entire continent to the north and the Ogre Lands can be developed Further South, then there's a whole slew of Island that can exist West and East, North and South. If I were designing the world map I'd stop going west, make continents North and South (Sort of like the Poles of the earth, we know that Gielinor is actually a sphere) and then continue South of Ogre lands and Desert, and continue East in Mortanyia. Also they'll probably add in the "Eastern Land" with Ninja's and whatnot as we've seen the Samurai guy in Port Phasmatys.

That bites about the Salve amulet :( But at least you've got some powerful hits with the mask and all that you wore! I suppose this will be a useful tool for all Slayers. Edit:I'm just wondering, for those with 99 Slayer, do you still go on Slaying Tasks? I know I wouldn't, I'd just kill the monsters for drops from then on. Not having to do any slayer, what a world that would be :D . Slayer is hard for me as I don't fight alot.

The following is a guide to the Shades of Mor'ton Mini-game. Data collected has been gathered by various members of the Tip.it Community and the progress of that collection can be seen Here This guide is still a Work in Progress! Premise: The Temple in Mor'ton is overrun with deadly shades who attack the temple. It is up to you to repair the temple and kill the shades around the temple for great rewards. The reason why you're down in Mor'ton kiling shades and rebuilding the temple is so that you can earn Fine Cloths which can later be used for Splitbark armor. Quests needed to have completed: Priest In Peril Shades of Mor'ton Quests that are a great help: In Search of the Myreque Nature Spirit In Aid of the Myreque This guide is broken down into multiple sections: General Information, Getting There, The temple, Slaying Shades, Burning Shades, Splitbark Armour, and The Afflicted General Information: The goal of this mini-game is to accquire fine cloth from the Shade's tomb. To do that you must repair and or defend the temple against shades. Doing either of those tasks will net you "Sanctity". Sanctity is what allows you to create Olive Oil into Sacred oil. After getting the temple up to 100% repair state with the group of people you're with you can then light the Fire Altar if it appears sanctified (a message in your chatbox will tell you if the altar is ready to be lit or not, so keep an eye out for it). The Temple must always be at 100% Repair State if you want to be able to make Sacred oils! You can light the altar with a tinderbox (which gives you 10xp towards firemaking) and then you can use Olive Oil (or Serum 207) on the flame. To turn your Olive Oil into Sacred Oil you will need to have at least 10% Sanctity (in actuallity you need 14% sanctity to actually make a sacred oil as it draws away 3.5% of your sanctity when made). Simply click on the Olive oil and then click on the Flaming Fire Altar. Map of the General Area: Getting There You'll need a Druid Pouch (attainable at the Nature Altar in Mort Myre Swamp) and a Blessed Silver Sickle is a benefit (to protect you from the Swamp Disease) Get to Canifis whichever way you can (Teleport to it via Kharyll teleport, teleport of Port Phasmatys and run to Canifis, Run to it from Varrock/The temple on the Salve) and now you have a couple options, firstly you can go south through the Swamp and risk attacks from Ghasts who will rot your food if you do not have a Druid Pouch. If you've completed the In Search of the Myreque quest you may use the secret tunnel south of the Canifis Bar but you still need to run past through a swamp area with Ghasts. If you bring along the Ring of Charos and want to ride back on the boat (and brave the swamp again and go back through the secret tunnel) you can do so for free, otherwise it will cost 10 gp. It is my suggestion that if you are serious about doing Shade Burning/Slaying you complete the In Aid of the Myreque quest to unlock the Burgh De Rott Bank and thus eliminate any need for travel through swamps. The Temple: There are two roles at the temple. One is repairing the temple and the other is defending the temple. -Repairing the Temple: Items Needed: Swamp Paste Hammer (or Flametar hammer costing 13,000) Limestone Bricks Timber Beams -Tips about Supplies: -If you have not used Serum 207(p) on at least Razmiere the General Store owner it would be wise to do so during your first run. -Using a chisel on plain limestone which you can mine or purchase from the Builders Store is a cheaper way of gathering Limestone Bricks -Swamp paste can be made by using Swamp Tar with flour and cooking it on a range. Making large quantities and bringing them with you will significantly reduce your expenses. Repairing the temple requires you to have at least five swamp paste, one timber beam, and one Limestone Brick. The more you have the greater your resources. When first building or repairing the temple you will run through your physical supplies very quickly but your Resources number will remain high and you can "feed" off of your resources percent and continue to build without any physical resources until you reach 0% resources. If there is no temple at the time you will need to click again every time you lay down a new brick. Otherwise it's simply click once and you will continually build until your resources reach zero. To be effective in building you should have an even amount of Timber beams and Limestone Bricks and then five swamp paste for every Brick/Beam that you have. If you keep one chisel, one Hammer, and only have Bricks, Beams, and Paste left for your inventory the max you can hold is 12 Beams, 12 Bricks, and you'll need at least 60 Swamp paste and you'll have one slot open. For every Resource percent you use you'll receive about 72-76 experience points in Crafting. -Defending the Temple: The Loar Shades are only level 40 so most people can handle these shades. If you're going to be fighting the shades hand to hand then put on your best armor and weapon. The key ingredient to this would be the Salve Amulet. It increases your damage and accuracty against Shades and so is extremely effective to use. The Gadderhammer is said to be extremely effective as well but against the Loar Shades a regular weapon will suffice. If you plan on Maging it bring what you can that will give you good melee defence as well as allow you to cast your spells effectivly, again the Salve Amulet is all too important here. If you're set on maging than this may be a good opportunity to use the Crumble Undead spell. Since you'll obviously be taking damage you'll be needing food. You have three options to get food. Go back and forth to Canifis through the Myreque Shortcut, be sure to bring the Ring of Charos for a free boat ride deep into the swamps. Go to Burgh De' Rott bank if you've completed in Aid of the Myreque and lastly take a large supply of your food noted and sell it to the general store and buy it back for yourself (the least effective method, do that ONLY if you've not completed in Search of the Myreque). While doing all of the repairing and the fighting you should be gaining Sanctity and thus using it to make Sacred Oil. Here is a generic route that is fairly effective. Step 1.) Gather your full amount of supplies or foods. 2.) Repair the temple or Fight Shades and earn Sanctity. 3.)Once you reach 100% sanctity and your supplies are gone (not neccessarily your resources percent) or your food is gone run to the Mor'ton General Store and buy as many sets of four as you can (At most 24 total). 4.)Use one Olive oil(3) on the other three olive oils in your row thus making rows of one empty vial and three sets of Olive Oil(4). This will allow you to use your sanctity more effectively and you are not wasting it on an extra vial. 5.) Create Sacred Oils at the temple. 6.)Run to a bank (or if you are unable to do so or wanting to use them right away, drop the empty vials and slay some shades and bring them out and burn them) and deposit them. 7.)Go back to the Temple. Now repeat those steps until you have as many Sacred Oils as you want. --Slaying Shades There are several types of Shades. Each one increasing in difficulty Loar, Phrin, Riyl, Asyn and Fyre Shades. The Loar Shades are located around the Temple in Mor'ton and are the weakest. The rest are inside the Shade Tombs which is under lock and key. Keys are given by the Shades after burning them (see the Burning Shades Section for more Information). The tomb is fairly large but is completely open ground and no safe place for Ranged or Magic attack. The most widely used method for killing shades is melee. Inside the tomb you will find doors which are various colors: Bronze, Steel, Black, and Silver. Each door can only be opened by their assigned key as well as any key above them. For example a steel door can NOT be opened by a bronze key but instead can be opened by a steel, black, and silver key. Certain Doors lead to treasure rooms in which you will use up your key by opening a chest. Other doors lead to the further depths of the dungeon. No DOOR will use up a key, only using a key on a chest will remove the key from your inventory. To fight the shades you have to take in account their level in relation to your own. It's just like fighting other monsters, but now you want every single drop they give. It is important to keep the right amount of food so you're not wasting any food. You could be killing the monsters very easily and be forced to eat a piece of food to pick up their remains. Actual combat wise you should take your best armor, the food that is needed in relation to their level and yours, the Salve Amulet as always, AND a set of Monks Robes for prayers. The Protect from Melee prayer is a very useful method for getting in a few last minutes shades with no risk to yourself. Using your prayers frequently should only be done if you can gain access to the Nature Altar in the nearby Mort Myre Swamp. I cannot give exact advice to each person, but think it as just regular combat, because that's what it is. If you're twice the level of your enemy, you know that you'll have little need for food, if the enemy is twice your level you know that you may rely more on Prayer than food. The overall advice would be bring your best Melee armour, some food (dependent upon the monsters level relating to you), and if you have 43 Prayer (Protect from Melee) bring along Monk's Robes and if possible a God book. If you're going on a prolonged amount of Prayer then bring little food but more Prayer Potions, if you've completed the Rum Deal Quest you could bring along the Holy Wrench to add to the prayer points a Prayer Potion gives. Training: Many people consider this place to be a great training spot. The lower level shades (level 60 Phrin) are aggressive towards anyone who is level 120 or below and are easy to kill without taking too much damage yourself. Fighting here until you run low on food and then concentrationg on gathering their remains for a shot at getting Fine Cloth can be a profitable venture. Here are the Various Levels of the Shades Loar Shade (40) Phrin Shade (60) Riyl Shade (80) Asyn Shade (100) Fiyr Shade (120) --Shade Burning Shade Burning can net you only two things: Keys and Coins. The coins are always helpful but we're really after the Keys. The Keys allow you to open up chests in the Shade Tomb and get various items, coins, and most importantly Fine Cloth. The best way of doing this would be to stock up on Sacred Oils/Pyre Logs of your choosing and the Shades Remains and then go for an all out burn fest with them. A Word of caution. Be sure you bring EVERYTHING you need, if you leave the pyre that you've already set up then whatever is on it will be gone. To prepare your Pyre Logs you will need your log of choice and the Sacred Oils that you've made. You cannot use multiple single dose Sacred Oils on the Logs, which is why creating 4 dose oils is the best way to go. Making hundreds of pyre logs can be tedious, but if you set up your inventory properly you can get it done much faster. Logs/Oak Logs (2 Dose Required): In this setup you go log, vial down a row, log vial. When you get down to the bottom of the first column it will then go vial, log and the last column you will need to click log, vial, vial, log, log, vial, log. One space remains open unfortunately. Willog/Maple/Teak/Mahogany Logs (3 Doses Required): I haven't found a GOOD way of setting up your inventory for preparing Pyre Logs while using 4 dose Sacred Oils. Your best bet would be to plan ahead when getting Sacred Oils, if you're going to be using Willows or not. Yew Logs/Magic Logs (4 Doses Required): Simply go Vial, Log from first row to second row. The last row goes log, vial, log, vial. To burn the Shades you require Pyre Logs, the remains of the Shade, and then of course a tinderbox. Funeral Pyres are scattered around the edge of Mor'ton (See Map in the General Information area above). You will need to use the Pyre Logs on the Pyre and then the Remains on the Pyre. Once the two have been placed on the Pyre you will need to set it a blaze by using a tinderbox on it. A short animation will play as you see the Shade's spirit/soul is put to rest/destroyed. Then a puff of smoke (Such as how an Imp appears) will appear over a small pedestal around the Pyre and you will receive your Key or Coins. An Interesting Note is that the Shade Spirit you see from the Pyre is actually an NPC for a brief period of time, one with no interactive uses except for an examine but it becomes a yellow dot on your Mini-Map. A reason why I bring this up is because if you're going for speed with the burning you can sometimes instead of using your Pyre Logs with the Pyre itself you will still use it on the Shade Spirit and thus disrupt your pattern. The only solution is to wait a few seconds before using the logs with the pyre. Keys From Shade Burning When burning the shades you can either get a key or some coins, the coins are negligible as you're really after the keys! That's what leads to treasure! The value of the Type of keys goes as follows. Brown, Steel, Black, and Silver. The value of the Eyelets(Handle) goes along these lines. Crimson, Brown, Red, Black, and Purple. Here is a list of what Shade Drops what type of Key. Format: Shade Name: (Eyelet/Handle Color) Type Loar: Phrin: (Black) Bronze, (Purple) Bronze , (Crimson) Steel , (Red) Steel, (Brown) Steel. Riyl: (Red) Black, (Crimson) Black, (Brown) Black, (Black) Steel, and (Purple) Steel. The stats of the Splitbark Armour can be found in Tip's "Guide" for Splitbark. To get your Splitbark Armour you will need your 11 Fine Cloth, and along with that, 11 Bark from Hollow Trees and 77,000 gold pieces. The trees are located in the Haunted Woods. The Woodcutting level is not extravagent, but there are aggressive monsters in the Haunted Woods, so dress for trouble. You'll see the Wizard Dressed in Full Splitbark talk to him and select each item individually. Once you've done that you'll be a proud owner of Full Splitbark Armour. I must attest from personal experiences with the armour that it is decent against fellow mages, you will be hit less often by magic and when they resort to attacking you with their staff you're more likely to take less damage than wearing other Wizardly robes. --The Afflicted Down in the Mor'ton Village the good citizens have been afflicted by the evils down there. They are walking Zombies but still alive, we know that they are conscious of their affliction and yet are helpless to fight against it. We have helped Razmierel, the general store owner so why not the other locals as well? I've decided to add this in seeing it as a useful tool if you're new to the area. The afflicted in Mor'ton are ranging in levels from 30 to 37. But we will not be fighting them. Using a Serum 207(Tarromin + Ashes in a Water Filled Vial) on them we can receive various items. Items: Herbs-Always Tarromin Coins (10-23) Regular Logs(1-5 unnoted) Waterfilled Vials/Empty Vials: 1-3 Olive Oil (Dosage of 1-4):1-3 Swamp Paste:8-10 Hammer The Drops from killing the Afflicted will be very different and you should consult the Bestiary for it. I am assuming that the purpose of being able to "cure"(That not being the best word as after about 60 seconds they'll become afflicted again) them is really only for people who did not come prepared for the quest, seeing as how they give logs, hammer, swamp paste, and herbs that are ALWAYS Tarromin, I'm guessing that this was for people who didn't bring any Money down but brought plenty of Serum 207's. Nowhere near as useful or as rewarding as the Shade Tomb though. //More Information to come! I think I'd be able to help out. I would Like to be: Dunno Combat Level: 89 I would like the part because: I think this would be fun to have a horde of people down in Ardougne Zoo as monkeys :D I can do a few screens before the event, I'll post some soon.
-
What happens if you get Ghosts/any Undead creature for a slayer task? Wearing both the Mask and Salve Amulet=One hit KO  ? I think that'd be fun :D
-
Which part? The hides? Not really, besides if you alch the Green Dragon Hides after making them (which I've just realized you can't yet) you'll make a small profit. The Shade Temple is fast but can cost a bit for your first round. Swamp Paste is what you'll need along with 1 gp Timber Beams (that's how much they cost) and Limestone which you can chisel for more Crafting XP. The Swamp Paste is the expensive part but if you do some Tomb Runs (into the Shade Tombs) you'll get plenty of Swamp Paste so you won't have to buy any and by the time you run out, you should have enough Sacred Oil to do another Run.
-
? That's not true at all. The only time armour that lets you avoid being caught better is HAM equipment against HAM members. I could wear full Dragon Armour and thieve just as well if I were wearing a pair of gloves. Your way makes LOADS more sense, but Jagex never put that into effect (except against HAM members) and I don't think they will ever. Edit:Bolded the info in Quote
-
Hides, lots and lots of hides, be they cow or green dragon, either way, that's one of the most money efficient. But if you want more cash when you stop I would suggest working on the Shade Temple down in Mor'ton, if you constantly sanctify your oils and then kill off Asyn Shades you'll be rolling in coins! I think the easier option is the first, but I prefer the second.

As of the moment, not so wonderous  . I was going to make an entire site dedicated to my experiences in RS, but this will do JUST PERFECTLY! So now I don't have to spend hours developing a site and I can just post and edit here :D . Latest Stats: Six Months of Stats: 11-30-06: Level 60 Slayer now! Runecrafting, Herblore, Construction, Hunting, and Farming are all that is below level 60! 11-21-06: I reached level 60 Fletching today! 8-23-06:80 Firemaking! w00t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 8-18-06:Today I achieved 66 Magic and completed two quests requiring it. Find more about those below. 8-16-06:Got Level 70 Ranged from Pest Control today! I might be working on getting 66 Magic from Pest Control as well. Only time will tell. 7-2-06: I have all Stats level 50 or more! Construction was the easiest to get up to level 50, all I had to do was spend money  . Herblore and Slayer were not all too bad but Runecrafting and Farming were much more difficult than either. --Construction: I made a POH Designer when it first came out and it had great success! Here's my current home minus the Throne Room, the Second Portal room, Bedroom, and the Quest Hall upstairs. The left hand corner is the upper portion of my house. I'm hardly ever in there, but one day I'll throw a party in there! Future Design: This is how I will have my house at level 60. Notice the way it's made, easy access to the portal rooms, the throne room, the chapel as well. Very important for when I try out Barrows to make some money. Also notice how the Formal garden is near the Throne Room, allowing for something to be underneath the formal garden (so I can use the Dungeon Enterance). Hopefully I will have this design up in the summer! The New Design will cost me: Workshop 10,000 Combat Room 25,000 Quest hall 25,000 Skill Hall 15,000 Formal Garden 75,000 Portal Room 50,000 Study 50,000 Chapel 50,000 Throne Room 150,000 Kitchen 5,000 Costume Room 50,000 -------------------------- Total 505,000 Gold Coins =( ------------------- Official Tefda Plan -First off I'm mining 4k Rune Essence to be made into 1k of each elemental rune.Completed -Next I'll be mining Coal until Winter Break. That's all for F2P Winter Break Membership (One Month) -I will be cutting down 731 Maple Trees and then picking Flax at Lletya. I will High Alch them as well. After that I will have 60 Fletching.Completed -Fish 656 Monkfish and cook themCompleted -Complete as much Slayer as I can with that food (60 Slayer)Completed -If I finish with time left over I will mine a great deal of Iron at Yanille or Al Kharid. Next round of F2P (Winter-4 Months) -I will still mine Iron ore or run for people who are power mining Iron ore. Second round of Membership (Summer-3 Months) -I should have at least 6,770 Coal now. If I do not have an equal or greater amount of Iron then I will mine Iron ore at Yanille. -Once completed I will Smelt/Smith all of the 6,770 coal at the Blast Furnace. I will then have 1,354 Steel Plate Bodies also 70 Smithing -Alch all of those Steel Bodies. -Cut down 2,218 Oak Trees and turn into oak planks -Smith one set of Mithril Armour -Build and replace 1,109 Mithril Armour Sets for 60 Construction -Replace my current House Design with a newer one, involving an underground now that I am at 60 Construction -Kill Chaos Druids and Play Pest Control for Herbs until 60 Herblore (Long Time) That SHOULD take me the three months. I can imagine the Cutting of the trees and the Blast Furnace wouldn't take too long, but the Herblore will take ages! That is my plan for the year. Hopefully all of my F2P time will pay off and I'll be rolling in upper level skills. Once all of that is done, I'll be left to Runecrafting, Slayer, and Farming as skills below 60. Recent Events! NEW:12-04-06: The hunting areas are very open in the mornings. Recent:- 10-30-06: Just in time for December.... So Very Happy! I just have five skills that are left to get up to 60. Hunting (Easy supposedly, Haven't tried it yet), Construction (Medium, I need to first get to 70 Smithing), Runecrafting (Hard, I have all the Pure Essence I need but still it's boring), Farming (Medium, I don't think this'll be too bad), and Herblore (Hard, it'll take a lot of Herbs!). OLD:- 10-14-06:I've set up a plan for the next few months. Since I will be playing sparsely, Mining and RCing wont be as boring as it would be in long stretches. I'm pretty sure I'll be following this plan as strictly as possible. I'm saving all of the quests that come out for one summer. I love doing quests but I hate having to wait a long time for them to come out. I figured if I just focus on increasing my skills for a great while and then focus on the skills. I love the skill experience you get from quests but I don't think I'll be missing out on too valuable of experience. My skills are fairly decent. Everything above 50, several skills 70+, I'm pretty sure Jagex wont release all too many quests with skill requirements greater than 60. Although I have seen a thread on the official forums for High Level updates. Pretty interesting. I've got to work on my stats to get everything 60+, then 70+. If I get ALL of my skills 70+, I'll start focusing on skills that I can stop doing and max it out, i.e. Construction, Herblore, Mining/Smithing. Once I reach 99 in those skills I'll pretty much never have to do anything with them again. But I can guarantee that'll be years from now. I'll need way more free time than I do now to even begin to get close to all skills 70+. - Well Today (8-23-06) I found that getting the Herb Packs from Pest Control is NOT a good idea. Sure it's nice to get 15 herbs at once but still it's a lot of points for 15 herbs. I spent about 30 points to get 45 herbs and it barely put a dent in my herblore level. I guess it's back to Chaos Druid killing for herbs. Also, I just so happen to reach my first 2 Million Experience in a skill today. That's right level 80 Firemaking! Only 19 more levels away from 99 Firemaking and of course another 11 Million experience points, but that's what Magic Pyre Logs are for! - On 8-18-06 I managed to get to 66 Magic and I completed two quests! I walked into the Wizard guild the first time ever! Here are my escapades in Magic recently. And the casual side of Adventuring - I have not updated in a LONG time(8-16-06)! I've been in Norway in case you wanted to know  but nonetheless I've managed to get to 70 Ranged with about 43 points from Pest Control. I've got 27 Days of membership left and then that's it. I wait for Winter Break to renew my membership. During my F2P Time I'll be Runecrafting thousands of elemental runes and mining lots and lots of coal, Mithril and Adamantite. I'm just preparing again for my next stint at Membership (I'll be doing the mundane things in F2P and then during winter Break I'll attempt Desert Treasure, Receipe for Disaster and any other quest I haven't done yet. Then after Winter Break I'll head back to F2P and prepare more ores and essence/runes. Then during the late spring and summer seasons I'll be back on Members for the three to four months until school starts again. Keeps expenses low) I've got 27 days and I need to make the most use of them! - 90 COMBAT FTW! Yeah, got 90 Combat today(7-9-06) from Pest Control. I think I may have gotten around 75 points in under three Hours I think. But I now am officially able to be a member of Affliction instead of just tagging along on their coattails! But besides that I'm heading back down to the Shade Temple in case anyone's interested in Joining me. - I've been sitting in a bank for the past hour or so, creating Pyre Logs for the Shade of Mor'ton Mini-game as I'm going back down there to Smite some Shades and then record their loot and finish up the Shades of Mor'ton Mini-game Guide I'm working on. After I finished making the logs, I went to relax with a game or two of Pest Control. I ran over to Pest Control on World 59 and to my surprise I stumbled on a decent group playing Pest Control, there were about 50 or so of them and so the wait time was little and we never lost a single fight. I (at level 89) saw most people as Orange, a few Green, and a few Red, but it was a pretty good group and I got another 20 or so points from them. But they're NOWHERE as good as Affliction! - Recently I've completed almost all of Recepie for Distaster and am at the Boss Battles, unfortunately I've got to complete Desert Treasure and I feel that I'm in no way ready for that. ------------------ Things I've Done/Am A Part Of Here you'll find my links to organizations and or Guides that I've created and or belong to!
