It's been four days since the last post on this topic, I'd really like more people to respond to some ideas on this topic.

info on void set effect.(new range max hit)
If they touch castle wars I may have to quit. Oh, leave CW out of this. There's nothing wrong with cwars now, don't fix something that isn't broken. I will be very angry if jagex messes with cwars.

info on void set effect.(new range max hit)
Wow, I didn't even know they had new void knight helms! Time to get pc points ;) . I'm curious though, what are the stats of all three helms?

Odd happenings at PC
I've noticed this too, I'm receving a minimum of 300 damage per game, opposed to before the update when I was lucky enough to even get 300. Also, since when could brawlers teleport? :-s

Server rollback question
I have noticed several people ingame and on the forums are claiming to have lost some items during the server crashes(or whatever they're called). What I'm asking is, do you lose items that you just obtained, or does it go as far to delete items that you actually have equiped or in your inventory? I'm chopping willows right now with my dragon axe and I want to be sure I'm 100% safe if the server crashes. -Thanks, mario

Not the End of the World
You won massive internets. I'd be glad to donate over 400K to your training fund. You are god. I'd much rather read this story then anything else in the world. :P Just kidding I agree, people could be doing something more than rioting. To me their setting themselves up for a good long mute. They should have learned from past riots that rioting doesn't work, it's the rants that jagex reads on the forums and they will change it if they feel it is needed.
-
This Is Getting Out of Hand
Of course they have a right to complain, but as long as it doesn't break any rules. Riots are a massive spam fest, spamming = against the rules on both the forums and ingame. Good job player moderators and zezima for clearing up the issue.

This Is Getting Out of Hand
Any tip.iters who participated in this riot should be ashamed. That is no way to act when you are mad, I am especially displeased that this went on it tip.it's homeworld, giving tip.it a bad name. There's a handy forum called the rants board where you can riot all you want. Jagex will listen to you in the rants board, NOT when you riot. No one should be complaining if they got muted. EDIT: If I saw zezima I would personally thank him for settling that riot, that was very kind of him.

Official Pc World Now
Every world seems good right now because the update just came out today, and people are excited about it. Eventually, though, it will become less crowded and one big world will stand out. Keep it at 78 please, it's full right now so I assume most people still view that as the "unofficial" pc world. Don't make it 99, we don't want our precious tip.iter world crowded like our old world 9.

Ring of Stone - Jagex get with the times
People spend thier money of different items, please try to consider who you are insulting when you call a certain group of people "idiots." Last time I checked just because we choose to spend our money on something else others don't like doesn't classify us as idiots.

Servant bank/sawmill times
I can't give you the approximate time in seconds, but I can compare it with times building and destroying oak larders. Cook = enough time to make and destroy 3 larders Butler(I recommend this one) = enough time to make and destroy 2 larders Demon = enough time to make and destory 1 larder And no, sadly, you can't give your servant noted things and make him plank them all in one trip. They must be done in 2 trips; unnote, and then plank.

How about we test this out according to tripis' recent post for say, 2 days-1 week and see how it goes. I remember tip.it doing this in previous months- with the first "Events" forum, then they deleted it, and now it's back again. If all goes well, we keep this idea. If not, we can think of a new way or use previously suggested ideas in this topic. So far I'm going with tripis, but we might just have to wait and see how this all goes. I've realised now that picking out questionnaire topics is just like detirmining if a post is spam or not. There is no definate characteristic that marks a topic as spam. A moderator has to make a decision to whether he/she considers it spam, just like a moderator must make a decision to whether he/she considers a topic a questionnaire. So I say we give it a test. :-k

Ring of Stone - Jagex get with the times
Oh so I'm an idiot eh? Players like different things in the game; some like to hit the highest they can using powerful armor, some like to spend all their money to get 99 construction, and some like to be a rock! I actually don't really care what type of rock I look like, as long as I get to trick people into thinking talking never-spawnable dragon ore rocks will enslave the human race. Didn't jagex mention in an update that they were going to add some new features to the ring of stone? Or am I getting that mixed up with the pet rock?

What are the best Fishing methods?
Amazing find, I always love to hear discoveries that were once overlooked. I'll be using this spot from now on to train fishing. Oh by the way, prices aren't the only thing that comes into play when selling monkfish or sharks, you also have to consider the demand of buyers. Sharks are always in demand, it's the best and fastest food for pker, monkfish, or more cheaper, lobsters, are usually used for training.

computer games stole my son
In my opinion it's not all runescape's fault. One of my pet peeves is when parents rant about how their children are "addicted" to runescape, when half the reason they are addicted is because of the parent's lack of discipline. Ok, sure runescape is addictive, like every other game. I can't argue with that because it is entirely true. But what was said in the article- the kid wouldn't go school for 2 months? Isn't that the result of bad parenting? Slap your kid on the bottom for god's sake and teach him a lesson. Don't listen to him if he yells and screams at you, making threats to leave the house; the bottom line is it's for his own good. If I had kids I would NEVER let them play 16 hours a day. 16 hours of gameplay, 2 hours for meals, and 6 hours of sleep? That's insanely horrible for anyone's health. If I met that father I would slap him in the face. I'm quite disgusted of hearing parents complaining about their children falling into the wrath of runescape when it was really half their fault in the first place.

Naughty or Nice?
We are- well at least I am- doing something about the community here at tip.it. Don't assume all of us are whining no-doers. The tip.it community is going downhill due to the general boards and I am currently planning with several other tip.iters to fix this problem. The community is bad. If you ever played RSC you would know, compared to the classic era runescape today is horrible. That doesn't ruin my time in the game though, I still enjoy training my character and chatting with my friends. I've been reporting people a lot lately, both ingame and tif. The runescape community is gone, there is nothing we can do to save it now. The tip.it community, though, is different. Tip.it can still be saved from the flood of "rsof users." I care so much about this community, I don't want to see it fall into runescape's current state. Wookie- You shouldn't compare runescape to other games. Obviously runescape isn't the worst community, but you'd have to agree it's in pretty bad shape.

Purely Arrogance?
I assume he hasn't finished training his pure? That could be the problem there. It's not the skills you train that makes you ignorant, I think this is more of a case of detirmination. Your friend is very detirmined to train his pure, so he is ignorant to his friends because he is impatient to complete his goal(that being finishing training his pure).

Split the General Discussion board
You put effort into this, and that's good. Some choose the easy way, just sitting on the sidelines and saying things aren't working. (This is not a dig at anyone in this thread - it's just something I see happening in other topics at times.) It's much harder to suggest solutions and try to see how they could be implemented. You are actively participating and putting your ideas out here for people to see, and I really admire that. My difficulty is that nearly all of those titles could also be presented as a question (see green lines below), and I'm not sure that determines what type of topic it is. I mean, ALL of these things are about RS, it's not like they are talking about something else. And four of the topics marked for a "questionnaires" forum aren't phrased as questions. Quesitonnaires Non-questionnaires What have you learned in runescape today? The Future of Dragon Items - - - What is The Future of Dragon Items? You know you're old school when... < oh noes! not phrased as a question!> - - - - - How do you know if you're old school? Useless Runescape Facts**~~ 75,000+ < oh noes! not phrased as a question!> - - - - - Do you have a Useless Runescape Fact? The degrading community - - - Is the community degrading? Just thought I'd share this with you (black dragon bad luck) - - - Have you had bad luck at the black dragons? 20 lvl 2277s, is that just too much? Tip.it Times Presents: I have the answer, Mr. Runescape! - - - What did you think of the "Tip.it Times Presents: I have the answer, Mr. Runescape!" ? If Runescape was Real Life~ < oh noes! not phrased as a question!> - - - - - What If Runescape was Real Life?~ HYT - - - Did you HYT someone today? - Signs You Play Too Much RuneScape < oh noes! not phrased as a question!> - - - - - What are the Signs You Play Too Much RuneScape? What would you say to your level 3 self? I'm not trying to nit pick here, because I too tend to prefer the 'split' concept, personally. I'm just trying to say that there's no Occam's Razor presented here that simply, cleanly and clearly divides topics into the proposed categories ... at least, not so far. Hopefully we all can come up with something. You had me stumped on this for a couple of hours, I realise now that there is no clean cuts when it comes to separating questionnaires from non-questionnaires. But I just thought of this idea. What are we truly trying to seperate here? I've asked the tip.it community in my "The degrading community", and they want topics that start discussion and topics that don't. A topic that asks a question could be turned into a discussion, and vice versa. So I suggest a new 'cut'. We split those topics with discussion and those without. Thought this is just a rough plan, I think it could work. I am still a bit stumped on how exactly we detirmine if it's a discussion or not, perhaps a certain number of sentences on each page, but that seems way too complex.

What if we could choose the items kept upon death?
As well as the majority of pure pking clans, the rants board, and the economy(someone gave an example of this with barrows armor earlier in the thread). Jagex would never do this, they know that pkers are mad already at them, they wouldn't push them any further. Jagex may have their "bad" updates, but they would never release something like this.
-
What is YOUR money making method? =D
Runecrafting gets me a nice 380k per hour. I would do barrows but there are two main reasons I won't. First, it's all based on chance to whether you get a barrows armor and what type it is. I've heard people on dry streaks with 100 rounds and not a single peice of armor, on the other hand I've heard people getting a guthan's spear their fifth try. I don't like that risk factor, runecrafting is virtually garanteed a good steady 380k an hour. Second, I don't like training my combat that much, and barrows obviously gives experience to skills that raise your combat, I'd much rather stick with rcing where I only raise my rc, mining, and agility.

Split the General Discussion board
In my opinion, the debate club was one of the best changes tif has ever had. The amount of actual discussion that happens in the subforum is amazing compared to the "OMG I HATE AUTOERS," "NOOBS THESE DAYZ" threads in the rants forum. If you're furious about something you go rant up the rants board, if you actually want a serious discussion you go to the debate subforum. Sound familiar? This is exactly what we're planning to do but just to the general boards. Separate the general boards so we can make everyone happy. No thread should be called "chatty" or "serious", all threads deserve the same respect as long as their not breaking the rules. I don't want to go about calling them names like "trashy" and "non-trashy."
-
Split the General Discussion board
It doesn't have to do with a thread being trash or not. I don't see it as a subjective issue. The thread either deals with an issue with the game or it doesn't. I don't see what's confusing about that. If you're discussing something about the game you post it in one forum. If not, the other. It's not an issue of quality, just whether or not the discussion will be about the game. Don't judge a topic by it's title- try looking through it contents before you go on about how trashy it is. A good number of those topics I can see as being good discussion topics. We can't ban them, there's no where in the tip.it forum rules that say we can remove the questionnaire topics simply because we don't like them. We also can't go around calling them trashy, though I may dispise some of those questionnaire topics, they still deserve as much right to be heard as the other topics. Neither should we imply that these topics are "trashy," we don't want a once popular topic to seem as if it's been thrown in the gabage can. As adam stated, "it's not an issue of quality." Spliting the general boards will separate these two types of topics- and will please everyone. The question-asking topic lovers can enjoy their forum in peace, and those who don't like those types of topics can enjoy the other forum in peace. The tension is rising, tip.iters are definately noticing, and fast. Several topics are being made in the general boards about the problem in the general boards. Waiting won't help anything, in my opinion. It's obvious this is turning into a problem. Something needs to be decided soon, we need to lay-out a final plan. It could still use a few more responses, though, I don't think a one-page idea topic will cut it for a a final decision that will affect thousands of users of tif. Going along with the actual plan, I am still a bit hesistant about how you will separate these topics. I don't think game-related topics and non-game related topics will work. What needs to happen is a forum for questionnaires, and a forum for everything else. Here, I've re-done the list: Quesitonnaires Non-questionnaires - What have you learned in runescape today? - The Future of Dragon Items - You know you're old school when... - ~~**Useless Runescape Facts**~~ 75,000+ - The degrading community - The "Best-Skill-Cape-Outfit" Contest! - The "Clothes-That-Match-Skill-Capes" Thread (TONS OF PICS) - Items Kept to the death - Sandwhich Lady - Pure Evil? - Just thought I'd share this with you (black dragon bad luck) - 20 lvl 2277s, is that just too much? - Tip.it Times Presents: I have the answer, Mr. Runescape! - ~If Runescape was Real Life~ - HYT - Signs You Play Too Much RuneScape - What would you say to your level 3 self? Defining what should and should not belong in each of these forums wouldn't be a problem. All topics that ask a question to the community belong in one forum, all those that don't fit under that go in the other forum- simple as that.

The degrading community
That is exactly what I believe, thanks for putting it into better words for me. I believe because the "leaders" of TIF have left, very few have replaced them and there was thus a void. Since there was a void to be filled, you have what you see now, a new community/generation. I mourn the loss of Shiva. Truly a sad day when the community heard the news.

Sabre/Disciple Era
Actually I made this one, nothing to do with the autoer killling guide. I was just sick of hearing about people complaining about autoers. Ontopic: The sabres are still alive? Wow.

Ancients
Jagex probably did that on purpose, ancienters just have to accept that that is one of their disadvantages. The offense power of ancient magics is quite incredible. For example, the ice barrage spell freezes for 20 seconds(the longest time ingame), can hit a maxium of 30(and often with 94 magic), most of the time doesn't fail, and to top it all off it's a multi-hit spell!
