  1. The agility potion is cheap. But it also boosts only +3. Something to keep in mind when gyou get the additional 2 levels, perhaps.
  2. I like it thus far... As I like to train different skills/activities at the same time (efficiency -> not really), I have fun since I: *Pick up vyrewatch corpses to enhance the pole arm + work on Morytania task as well *Get charms for summoning *Pick up shades to either burn or sell *Get snake hides when I have the space, they sell nicely *get snail shells for additional xp *The rewards are quite ok, I need xp in all the skills since I have no 99s except foarming. But I have to admeit, I'm half way to levelling both hard companions, and it's quite slow. I took a break a week ago, but I might be able to finish them quite soon. After that, I'll kill the remainder of the 200 vyres required for the bloom task.
  3. Do you have to log out completely, or just off to the lobby to make things work out? Also, does logging out reset the aura? I'm thinking of getting it, and doing what you did in order to get the taks done, but if it resets upon logging out, I might save my points for something more useful. I still have like 80% of Sköll boots left.... should make them usefull someday in the near future....
  4. To answer your question: No. Make it as short as possible, using Barbarian horn, Sköll boots (whena available)and the aura (forgot the name) and do it in short runs. Using pies is good (I did it as well), but I found it annoying if you are only level 85, as you already described. I did it from 2 levels prior for advanced gnome. Also, don't forget the circus, and if you really really hate it, use xp lamps on it.
  5. Since I got 99 farm, I cut down on herb farming (picked it up recently) and since I got temple trekking / livid farming, I neglected a lot of dailies. I ususally do staffs, JoaT (bought it recently) essence from wicked hood, Bork (every other day or so) and the vine. Also buy feathers (Lodestone teleport yay!) and unf bolts at slayer master. Y4es, still pretty much
  6. All of them or just the hard (weak) followers?
  7. The "shameless plug" guide is pretty good, I used a lot of it. I only do hard treks with the hard followers. The only difficulty are snake events, as they are hard to click individually for drawing attention away from your follower. Make sure you have good combat gear, and you'll breeze through them. I save up 50 vyre corpses at the time to level my blisterwood polearm, sell shade remains and shells/snake hides that I can take in my inventory. As I saves up baskets of tomatoes for farming payments (....) I ususally take 2 of them in my inventorey for the ghast starvation events (sack of cabbage might be even betterm but can't be bothered) in order t6o minimise banking. Complete all events ASAP, but levelling Smiddy and Rolayne is slow... lvale 40 for both of them roughly.
  8. But it is a european holiday. It is an (originally) catholic holiday (other christian religions might have it a as well) that officially starts february 19th this year. Ash wednesday (february 22nd this year) is the beginning of the fast period (sp?) 40 days prior to Easter. The official carnival "season" starts at November 11th (11-11, eleven being the fool's number) every year. Here, it involves dressing up, drinking, mocking the establishment and phony folklore marriages. The way it is celebrated here, it has some comparisons to the brazillian/carribean way of carnival.
  9. Got Hati equipment on the second kill. Killed Sköll solo, so I had to build the pyre myself (blegh) but it was a helluva fight. Thank God I got the drop on the first kill.
  10. Yes, I got it. Finally finished the tutorial, so I can go and play like a renewed n00b!
  11. Thanks for the swift reply. I don't have the paws/hat yet, didn't got around to getting them last year. Might give it a couple of more tries tonight.
  12. Why would you want a chain drop anyway, except for the sake of getting it? There are much better armour sets nowadays, some of them even cheaper than the chain. I'm sure there are better (xp, gp) ways of training.
  13. I tried to solo Hati (piece of cake) yesterday in order to get the paws/hat. After I killed him, there were only wolf bones, no paws/hat. Is this normal? I talked to the Fremmenik ouside of Rellekka after the battle, but he only mentioned stuff about Sköll. I talked to the Fremmenik outside of Rellekka prior to killing Hati. Also, how do I kill Sköll? I can't talk to the woman because Sköll always attacks me before I can reach her. Pray mage and melee armour? Thanks in advance.
  14. I'll try going to that shop hoping for "Anvil" to show up. I have been in tutorial mode 95% of the time spent in Burthorpe. I skipped the levelling up hints (Yay, get 5 level 5 skills!!!) all of the time. The Corothers guy said I could do tasks (kill trolls and stuff) and I did, but no other chat options...
  15. Hey, As I renewed membership, I went to Burthorpe to try the new tutorial just for completion's sake. At some point, I need to speak to Corothers about joining the order of the Talon. When I speak to him, there are 3 options, and none of them involves the order of the Talon. Am I missing something here, or is it a glitch? I feel pretty n00b about this...., I'm a pretty experience player....
  16. If you get one of the God books from "Horror of the deep", choose Zamorak vbook. It offers offensive bonusses only, which is good because typically, when combat maging, you'll safespot and don't need defence (as provided by Guthix and Saradomin books.) The pages needed for the books are treasure trail rewards, but I heard they are really expensive now (200k a zammy page when I got them....)
  17. It all depends on the sport, I guess. When I see players shouting at the referee in a soccer match, I cringe. The man is almost assaulted! For professional games (primary/secondary leagues, draw any line) I think there should be challenges available as there are in Tennis, Hockey and american football. As for your amateur matches, one could start off with getting "independant" refs. As a handball referee myself (10 years experience), I never ref matches for the club I play for (except junior league, kids <16years old). As soon as someone has comments on my judgments, that's a 2 minute time penalty for them. Any name calling whatsoever (also questions of me needing glasses, or having impaired vision) results in a red card, + a suspension. It's all a matter of keeping it tight, and the sports union backing you up with additional penalties for players who seriously cross the line. I think that is what lacks in soccer (lower leagues) mostly. I'm not saying I make every call right. On the contrary. But I always tell the players that I have to monitor 14 players in the field, by myself, and that 2 teams (20+ people) together watch me. Also, the amount of errors the players make is far higher than the amounts I make while judging them. Also, I do this as a volunteer (only receive minor expenses). I refue to get my joy in reffign spoiled by some hillbillies that think they can say/do whatever they want.
  18. You also lose 3 inventory spots, which might be not worth it when you are picking up drops/banking.
  19. Combined with my sad understanding capabilities, that's another 4 forum posts lost....
  20. If you do not purposely rely on society for your needs, I don't think you are a leech. If you can afford it to have no job/education/etc, and choose the play RS all day, well, up to you. Wether it is a smart choice referring to your future carreer possibilities, that's another story.
  21. ^^^^^^^ Which we men tend to like (or at leat the majority...)...
  22. As promising as the article may seem, they are adult stem cells from THE SAME PATIENT. This is not a generic cure for all of us. I do like the results, though Also, the advantage of a "true" stem cell would be that it able to repair all kinds of tisue damage, not just heart. Another side not is that, in other studies, the new heart cells died and the treatment only was a temporal fix.
  23. My point exactly. Abortion and the gay agenda have nothing to do with stem cell research, as myself and others have reasoned in several posts in this thread. I agree. Pretty much everyone's arguing from ignorance. Why did you include gay agenda in my quote? I didnt put it there.
  24. Dungeoneering is very slow at first, and also soloing is slow in general (look at my pathetic level...). Getting into good teams may be difficult, but it speeds up the xp considerably. I found that quests can give you an incetive to train specific skills in order to be able to do them. As you were absent for 4 years, there are tons of quests to do, and requirements to meet. Provided you like questing, I suggest you do them. They all have SOME kind of reward, mostly xp which you might find worthwile. The latest quest, "One piercing note" featured complete voice acting and very nice music. Even though it is a beginner quest with little initial reward, I strongly recommmend it.
