  1. Why do people want other people's opinions about whether their play style is right or wrong. Have fun while playing the game. Or don't. Doesn't matter either way, it's all up to you! As an answer to your question, sure you can.
  2. If you speak of a skill as "uselees", don't spend money on it. I'd say buy fury and berserker ring, and use those to level slayer and/or make money. Getting 98 when 99 is your goal because you run out of money seems a waste to me. Use improved gear to make money faster, then spend it on that extra prayer level, or improve herblore for even more damage potential (extremes) to make even more money. 95 prayer is where the skill "ends". Getting 99 won't give you much advantages compared to 95. If you want the cape, get it by all means!
  3. Not to hi-jack, but the op is 87 so he can't do addy plates without boost. What other addy item is good to smith? Bolts ->fletch?
  4. Slow / expensive / boring skills are the way to go. pick your personal favorite from them.
  5. Are you 99 herblore? why not use them, or wait till another bxpw and get even more out of them? If you want to sell them, there is no sure way of telling wether they rise or fall. I'd wait a week or so, see if they recover. If they do, wait some more, if they don't, sell them.
  6. Why would you save money using somebody else's house? As far as I know, using another person's house is faster because when he stays in there keeping burners lit, the loading time is shorter. Also, building a gilded altar costs....erm how much? correct me if I'm wrong.
  7. What is your dungeoneering level? The start of the skill can be quite boring, as it is difficult to get into (good) teams. So you probably need to solo the first levels, it helps you to get the hang of it. It is recommended that you level up to level~50 or so using tears of Guthix, penguin points etc, do some solo's (rush) in between to get your prestige up. Generally, you rush the first 80% of all floor available to you, and C6 small/med the latter 20% (like 5 or so floors). Once you get to a higher level, you can get into teams much better and enjoy dungeoneering more. It was designed to be a team skill after all.
  8. My_eggs is right, you can have the court summons even if you just did one the same day. You just won't be able to do it right away as it is limited bt one in every 2 weeks.
  9. Seems like you got lucky! get your easy 21M now, or try to sell it for even a bit higher. I'd say cash it in if you don't want one for other reasons.
  10. All in all: get it if you want it. Enjoy, have fun and don't go out to get "respect" in a video game from people you don't know.
  11. Slayer is not fast money. You can earn it when levelling the skill anyway, but it is not a good source for "income". You earn money if you don't power slay (=using prayer, cannon etc). There are several (very) profitable tasks, Abberrant spectres profit even when cannoning, for example. Dragons are a good source for income, especially greens, but they are crowded with players and bots. Herb farming is profitable for virtually every herb, snapdragon being very good, but others like toadflax are not too bad either. Check seed-herb prices for more info, you'll get 6.5 herbs per seed on average, counting dead herbs as well. For optiman efficiency, you make money and use it to level the skill. I myself find it more enjoyable to take a slightly slower pace, and make money doing a skill. Example: barbarian fishing is the fastest xp in the game, but it is click intensive. I rather semi-afk monks, make some money and level a bit slower. Up to your preference.
  12. If you get lots of points, buy slayer darts. They sell nicely. I saved up to get ice strykewyrm, because I suck at getting a fire cape  :wall: If you ever going to `powerslay` or want improved efficiency, there are recommended block-skip lists available to get good xp-charms-effigies while slaying. They cost quite a lot of points because you might be cancelling frequently.
  13. If you already have 99 heblore and 95 prayer, combat 99s AND 100M, why do you worry about money? How did you get the 100M leftover in the first place? Also, if you don't want to do farm runs (little effors for a lot of money) what else is good enough? With your levels, I think all boss hunting should be possible. I have no experience in this, but most high-levelled player can't be wrong....
  14. ^ assumes slaying conventionally to make money to use for powerslaying later is fun. wut? You sure live up to your signature. Anyway, I said that he should either make money to maximise slayer xp by powerslaying. He then repleid that he does not like most of the methods for making money (though he mentions to "suck it up" - not fun IMO). As an alternative, I suggest he continues slaying at a lower xp rate, but profiting instead of costing, and powerslay in bursts. [/feeding the troll]
  15. Thanks for raising this one+year old thread from the dead....
  16. Either get money (the usual advice of green dragons and others can be extracted from any of the 3-4 money making topics on the first page of H&A any given day), or go for less xp/hr slaying conventionally, and make money slaying instead of spending it. Do this until you have enough for supplies and powerslay until funds run out. The next comment will involve opportunity cost mumbo jumbo from efficiency-afficionados, but I can't be bothered with it. Fun comes first.
  17. Most people use stews or potions to help them do their level when they are too low. I got 99 farming with a daily free assisting, 30k worth. So, using stews, you "only " need 93 smithing for a +4 boost, or for instance 92 cooking because a chef's delight(m) boosts +5 at that level.
  18. There is a guide in the AoW (IIRC) that involves chinning nechreals for profit. Skeletal monkies on ape atol are popular as well. Al for gear, maximise prayer and ranged, I don't have a setup at the ready atm.
  19. Pro-tip: Have fun! If fun involves efficiency, go ahead. If not...meh. Play however you want. I think the OP started this thread not not be über-efficient, just to avoid annoying G.E. trips just "because you are on ancients and have no tele options" and situations alike. My tip: get duplicates of items to avoid bank rows shifting. I realise for Torva and the like it can he a pain  , and some quest items can't be duplicated (I'd like another ectovial, plz).
  20. They both drop them, the occasional big dudes have a higher drop %. I think the defender drop rate is equal from bronze to dragon. Some have had back to back drops, some have spent over half an hour there just to get bronze. I got the dragon one in less than half an hour, actually both of them.
  21. Never cheated, bug abused, drop trade or anything of the sort. RS is just a game. Why cheat on something so trivial?
  22. So I got the challenge from Kuradal last night. I have never slain Jad before, not even reached him. Got wiped by 360s when completing the Karamja (hard) task a while ago, I sort of got lucky without much thought. Now I want to get that cape while I'm at it. I'm thinking of meleeing the bulk of caves, and range the 360s and Jad. Setup: FSH fury SW cape (have untrimmed skill cape or ardy 3) BCP Verac's skirt D boots Whip Dragon defender Barrows gloves For the ranging part, I have Karils top and skirt, rune c bow, zammy book (?) and diamond tipped adamont bolts. I plan to take EEE for healing, 2 extreme attack, strength and ranging potions (4). 6 brews, 6 restores, rest prayer potions. Advice/suggestions on either equipment or inventory? Would it be faster to range the caves? My stats are 97 melees, 80 prayer and 88 range.
  23. Cooking: you can use urns (made using the crafting skill, or bought, activate it with a fire rune) in your inventory while cooking for a bit of extra xp. I was cooking monkfish ome time ago, it filled with 2 full inventories of monkfish. Fishing: barbarian fishing is very fast Runecrafting: It is a slow skill. ZMI is faster, but with less profit (although I hear RC for money is pretty dead anyways). Steam runes is fast but costly. If you like BA more than agility, the horn is worth it. As I dispise both, I just make my merry rounds on ape atoll for my rocks, and do the circus every week.
  24. Actually, it is 1 token per 10 xp IIRC. It is rounded down, so 19xp would translate into 1 token still. When you get less than 10 xp per dungeon, you are doing something terribly wrong. Check the guides, your ring of kinship settings and make sure to get your prestige right.
  25. Sorry I have nothing to add, but I envy you. My bank is full (except maybe 5 spaces) ALL of the time. OW! Quest Items are nice bank fillers as well.
