  1. I forgot abberrant spectres in Summona's slayer dungeon. Last time I checked, the can be cannoned with profit.
  2. Slayer tasks. The slayer bugs in Summona's slayer caves (forgot their real name) are good if you want effigies black demons
  3. Armoured zombies, unlocked after/during the defender of Varrock quest. They are in a dungeon in the wildernes, near an altar (dungeon is non-wildy) so you can train there using all prayers you want as rechrging is 2 mouseclicks away. They drop noted plaks as well, so you also get something while training. There's a guide in the AOW if I remember correctly.
  4. Why train on ghouls in the first place? There's numerous (better) alternatives, like gorillas, armoured zombies etc.
  5. You'd like to take a knife for snake events as well.... Don't know what snake skins are worth now, but I got some 20 odd off them in a few treks. I like how I can feed the sick people event guys with some excess tune I have. Can someone elaborate about the inventory of the escorted people? I stufffed them with tuna the first time I began a trek (either way) but now they don't have any more space, but I'm quite sure they ate some of the food.
  6. Yes, I agree on the fog thing. I don't like the green haze that is everywhere in Morytania. Seems to fuzz out everything. As for the temple trekking: I really like it, except for the new nature spirit event. I got it in 80% of all treks (I usually do medium path) and well.... I'm not much of a fire fighting afficionado... ah well. Otherwise a GREAT revamp. I like the new modelling, interface/intersection, the levelling up of people etc.
  7. Can't test it right now, but it sounds....fun! xp rates and money are supposedly abysmal, so it sound something I probably like!
  8. Can't you buy the urns? You only have to attach a rune to it in order to "activate it".
  9. Stewing has never been a friend of mine. To achieve elite seers tasks, I got the herb level-2 to be able to use a greenman's ale (m). But thanks anyway. I might feel lucky some time...
  10. "Wasting extremes" is ok, I don't have a wolpertinger (87 summoning). Might try to extrme-surge, since I don't have over loads as well.
  11. My magic level is 91. Is it possible/viable/efficient to keep it boosted with extreme magic pots to 95 and surge anyway?
  12. I got a slayer assignment of so-many Ice strykewyrms. I intend to mage them, but I cannot use the fire surge spell due to my magic level being <95. Since they are succeptible to fire spells, would it be better to use a lower level fire spell or a higher levelled surge spell (water/earth)?
  13. Offer assistance in both skills. Pick whichever comes first, if you like training both skills equally.
  14. Um, there are no smithing urns. Just smelting. >_> :wall::oops: :wall: you are right. :wall::oops: :wall: But they don't work when you smelt gold, so use them if you smelt something else.
  15. If you want to tran the skill, go ahead and make some money. Since it is (debatably) not the most fun, use effigies/lamps as stated and do something else. On a footnote, how come runes have (all?) crashed that hard?
  16. Not that allotments are bad or anything, but jesus - the exp the give are horrible (not to mention the time) The beauty of farming is - if you do enough runs with juju's, you should be able to get your strange rocks every week (it takes me at most two days to get them) Gold bracelets are slightly better exp - but that's a pretty great way to get some cheap crafting exp. To be even faster, bring some nats, and a bracelet mound - superheat/smelt your ores and craft them all in one go. Sure, allotments are quite bad xp (watermelons being quite decent) but a week of herb farming should provide enough for both farm rocks as well as herblore rocks when cleaning the herbs. If you want to get them FAST, do the allotments as well. I used tomatoes because the seeds are cheap, and the trade off is bad xp vs quite bad xp. If you have the tmie (say 1 week), herb runs should be enough.
  17. Some additions the the otherwise gresa list: Farming: farm ALL patches. Allotments gives a lot of products, and every product you harvest gives a chance for a rock -> maximising opportunities. Carfting: when I got the rocks for the statue, I crafted gold amulets because you actually profit, or can use them for string jewely. XP for getting the rocks is ususally crappy anyway, as stated before. RC: I just used the abyss, got to the closest portal available and crafted the runes there. Remember to alternate skills. I ususally combine 2 skills connected, for instance first smelt gold for smithing, then craft the bars for carfting. It gives the best chance for getting rocks. Getting 2 rocks of the same skill consecutively takes longer. For a little bit of extra xp, remember to use urns (cooking, fishing, mining, and smithing if you actually smith and not smelt) at the cost of only 1 inventory space.
  18. Fast money would be doing tasks. The lumbridge tasks require very little (if any) level, as well as some of the other cities tasks. Doing dailies (pineapples, sand, seaweed) and miscellania kingdom managing ears quite some good gp's.
  19. Bad habits include the aforementioned packrattitis. I pick up everything that lies on the ground. I search the seed piles droped by master farmer thieves in Draynor, random drop piles in banks/G.E. and coin drops other players leave behind Do I have a huge, cluttered bank? Sure do. The "worst" habit is inefficiency. I play for fun, in my case that involves a lot of (semi-)DIY. I hardly ever "make money" by camping monsters, my main source of income is slayer. I can't be bothered to merch or flip. Buying staffs, seaweed, sand and pineapples adds a little to it. Once in a while I spend some on herblore seconds, summoning seconds etc. I farm my own herbs for herblore, etc etc. It gets me nowhere, but at least I enjoy it that way.
  20. If you are starting from scratch, doing the Lumbridge tasks gives you a nice start-off with little effort involved.
  21. High FM helps when you use the hand cannon. The chance of blowing it up (random) is reduced when you have a high FM level. You also need 92 if you want to get an inferno adze to use for WC. Getting 99 is (equal to most other skills) not needed to get access to all the things of the skill.
  22. How about getting the levels you have banked, like prayer and firemaking? FM for the time you can stand it, altar the ashes, and/or alternate beteeen them and the herb runs. As sai, getting all skills to a certain level can be a goal, or some D&D activities. I found the shattered heart a nice thing to do, as it "forced" you to train all non-combat skils every week at least to some extent. Why are you so keen on making money, if getteing a certain amount of it is not a goal, and you don't have a spending goal? I never "make money" per se, I profit from the skilling/ slaying/farming I do. When I feel like it, I spend some money on armor, buyable skills and the like, then proceed as I did previously. Efficiency does matter very little to me as I can't stand doing the same things over and over again just to make enough money to do other things over and over again.
  23. As you know, AFKing is against the rules. don't do it. I think xp wise, pines is only marginally more xp/h than teaks. Depending if you are dropping the logs, you'd be better off with teaks because of the special logs which are worth quite some gps.
