A new spin on an old trick
Swamp tar is always in pretty good demand. Most people run around and around lumby swamp to collect it. What if I told you there was a faster way for p2pers to get swamp tar? Requirements: The ability to start Lunar Diplomacy, Seal of Passage, light clothing optional, teleport out optional. How to do it: 1. Go to the west dock in Relleka. If you have not started Lunar Dip, you'll have to listen to a bunch of jibber jabber about the island. 2. Ask him to take you to his ship. 3. Go to the level of the ship with the dock. 4. Before you get on the boat, you will see barrels: one containing cooked apples, the other containing swamp tar. Guess which one to click? Pros: Any idiot with the requirements can do it. Sit and click. Very easy money. Stackable meaning very few trips to the bank. You can do it while doing your homework. Easy to get away when randoms appear (ladder is just north). Cons: Could take a while to respawn Very repetitive P2P only. Tips: This is VERY boring, but you can make good profits off it because it it stackable. Unlike snape grass, you don't have to teleport every 28 pieces, just keep clicking! There are several barrels of tar on the boat, feel free to run around going to the different ones between respawn times. You can get anywhere from 1-10+ tars per spawn. The barrel refills every 10-20 seconds, depending on the world you are in. Play music, watch tv, open youtube, go to a clan chat, find some way to distract yourself. At the time that I wrote this, swamp tars are 200ea in grand exchange. Pictures hopefully coming soon. Conclusion: This is meant to be a long term money maker. If you want to make 100M now, then you're SOL. This won't make you 100M, but its good for about 50-200k per hour (depending on how dedicated you are and the world you are in). If you want some quick cash, this is for you. If you are in a clan chat, time goes by faster. I don't deny that this is boring, but there are benefits to using this method. I hope you guys try it, I'm sure a lot of impatient people won't like it :b but that's ok.

Should i bother getting RC and Farming up?
Farming is a great moneymaker if you know how to use it correctly. If I knew your farming level, I could help you out. The great thing about farming is that you can plant something, go do something else, check the plant, go do something else, then pick it and sell for profit. Especially true with herbs. RC can be the same way. With the "Runecrafting Guild" coming this month, I'd get it up (if for no other reason) just so you can see what the guild is like. And laws are extremely easy to craft, no harm done!

Member mining question
Currently 61 mining, wanting at least 75 or so to speed up gold mining. Money is not an issue (with mining you don't really spend money I guess lol). I can do the Az Gold Mines, so I was thinkin that would be a good place to train (close to bank). Or is iron still the standard for powermining? So, to sum it up, member wanting 61-75 mining. Any advice is appreciated.

cost of 60 prayer
Or go to a "House Party" world or whatever they're called.

Desperate times call for more money.
You could steal silver ores.
-
p2p money?
Mine gold ores. Trust me, prices are very high for some reason. I made about 150k an hour doing the "Between A Rock..." gold mine.

I have a boat load of Maple Longbows (u)
Agreed, just any general store.

Crafting to 99
Battlestaves are good because they can sell back for a good amount in GE. Coifs are slow, but good xp. Nobody buys em though. Dhides are a good idea, bracelets, if you kill the yaks you can craft their hides.

F2P: How to make money and runecraft, mining, and magic exp!
Out of all fairness, you DID bump your topic waaaaaay too many times. I agree, gold ore is a GREAT way for newer players to make money, but there are also much better ways to make money f2p. 3/10 You might want to put xp per hour and gold gained per hour.

98/99 craft and broke
If you are desperate, do Snape Grass. Collect by crafting guild and sell in ge

Made My First Million :) How did you make yours?

RS: scientific vs. relaxed approach
Calculated. I gather ideas from several friends, do some testing, then stick with whatever works best. Usually its whatever gets me more xp per gp I spend. Or if I'm makin money, how much I need to start with to get profit.

f2p merchanting?
Heres the thing I've learned about merchanters: they don't like sharing their secrets. If more people use their secret, that's less profit they can make. You gotta find your own way, its tough, but if you get it, its very profitable.

Peterpan538's Guide to Achieving the Skill Capes
Oh and for smithing, you can buy mithril ore: 175, and 4 coal : 768, for a total of 943, and sell the bar in the ge for 1.1k. The same can be done with steel bars. EDIT: Woodcutting There's a teak tree southwest of castle wars. Equip your axe and ring of dueling, tele to castle wars, go south of castle wars and continue to move west. You can't miss it. Usually not crowded, I've only seen 3 people there max.

I need 1.6 mil
Are unicorn horns f2p? If so, that'd be a good place for you to train combat and make a quick buck
-
90 - 99 magic
A) Highest teleport you could do, not very cost efficient, but its fast. B) High alch stuff you make. C) You could enchant stuff I guess D) Whatever you want to do E) It all depends on if you want to do combat or not. If you're wanting that Hitpoints bonus, then definitely do combat.

Question about santa hats
Why have the prices been shooting up like crazy lately? Any ideas how much more they will go up? Is there some new update I am unaware of?

Peterpan538's Guide to Achieving the Skill Capes
I have a suggestion for crafting. When you achieve 66 crafting, you can make Air Battlestaves. As of right now, the current price of an uncharged battlestaff in the grand exchange is 8434, and an air orb is 888, for a total of 9322. Air battlestaves can be sold in the ge for 9044, which is only a loss of 280gp give or take. Air battlestaves give you 137.5 gp, so you are getting approximately 2gp/1xp. Not a bad price if you ask me. The only down side, you can only get 100 battlestaves per 4 hours, so if you want a big order (1k or so) it might take a few days.

Cockroach Soldier guide:killing the big boys. 2500+ Views!!!
I agree, use tuna. Especially since a lot of people drop tuna or sell at Volcano general store cuz they want the swordies.

Make 1 mil in 48 hours after "Learning the Ropes" - f2p
Rune sets have become hard to merchant ever since the word got out. This used to work very well, I profited about 2k off each set! Now, I'm happy with about 800 per set.
