First the Wilderness Ditch, Now This?(May Someone Lock This)
You do realise that some (I won't say a lot, though there may well be) idiots who get scammed and hacked gets bitter and start scamming/hacking themselves? Perhaps JAGeX is thinking along the lines of "Prevention is better than Cure", preventing people from getting hacked and preventing them from becoming scammers/hackers themselves. Though I appreciate JAGeX helping their players, I do not think that they should waste their time on people like these. No matter how hard you try, an idiot would still be able to pick at your faults, and there is simply no way to please them. They would just whine and complain and whine. Those smart enough to not get scammed/hacked, or are wise enough to shrug it off and learn from their mistakes, would likely won't need these protection updates.

Dragon armour - NOT SMITHING!
Exactly. Lots of dragon items are rare monster drops, and will stay that way. Besides, it will be unfair to Smiths. The best they could do is smith Rune armour and weapons, yet someone could have no Smithing levels and make something that is in every way, superior to Rune.

Idea. On Making Granite.
Some can be gained elsewhere. I believe the Granite Body can be obtained via the Barbarian Assault minigame.

Dragon armour - NOT SMITHING!
Considering Smithing already has Rune Plate on the Level 99 mark... there is no room for more Smithing, and having an NPC to smith Dragon is... well, it sort of disadvantages Smiths, considering that you could (indirectly) smith a powerful armour type without having high Smithing.

Multiple messages to friends Z0MG
Most other MMOs have this: a Buddy Chat option. And I don't see how you can use it to spam people, considering each person still receives the message once. After all, to a person who is being PMed, what difference does it make if everyone else is being PMed? I think the benefits outweigh the cons, really.

rethinking the "no returned items" policy
For me, the answer is quite simple: No. If they do, it would be a lot of hard work for JAGeX, and it would be heavily abused and lots of people would get stuff they shouldn't. Plus, people who had lost items in the past and don't get to have them returned because it was so long ago would be livid... though that's their problem. Anyway, the main thing is it is too much work and too easily abused. Face it: glitches don't happen that often, really; and if you got scammed you really need to be a bit more careful.

Runescape in 5 years?
you will be surprised about what that does to a game. Eventually all the good players will go because of the new childish behaviour. Bt like i said, it is possible that runescape will continue, however. It would take a miracle for teh decent community to stay. and eventually runescape will stop because of this indecent behaviour. rants and spam would flood the forums. Taking away the very use of forums and all the users who only go on them, not the game. the polls may not be useful for the game. And as jagex bends to every whim of the scammers and hackers and bots, they will realise it is al over. THAT will be the end of RS. You are forgetting one small thing. Decent players are not a majority. They could all leave and not one of the idiots would care that the community is horrible, and neither is it going to dent JAGeX's pocketbook overmuch.

F2p Mage Proposal *Read it now!* 105 supporters!!!!
Then why don't you direct your suggestion to the removal of dragonhide on free servers. I think mage is powerful enough, but range could be toned down a bit. But you won't do that will you... You know, I actually did think of that, but immediately dismissed it as it goes against common sense. Think about it: if you wish to balance something, would you nerf everything else to balance one thing? If it is one aspect that is overpowered, then nerf it. If one aspect is udnerpowered, you wouldn't nerf everything else to balance it. And besides, the issue is against warriors. Mages are meant to be owned by rangers. But what is taking away dragonhide going to change a mage's ability to fight warriors? Even without dragonhide to slap on, a warrior is still superior to mage in F2P. Empirical evidence please, to support your claim mages is powerful enough. And ranging, in my opinion, is quite balanced at the moment. At least it owns mages and (generally) get owned by warriors. Now now, stop making desperate, unfounded statements and start arguing rationally. I would like to see empirical evidence on your behalf, you cannot under any circumstance dismiss the argument that F2P is not the full version of the game. Jagex even say 'for the full version join members now'! So in that case I will stand by the argument that is the rock concluding that problems with the combat triangle in F2P are not a problem, because once you get buy the actual game all problems are straightened out. Dear me! Did I try to dismiss the argument that F2P isn't a full version? I hadn't noticed. How silly of me.

Some Granite items can only be received from Slayer Monsters.

Runescape in 5 years?
I think that in five year's time, Runescape will still be going good. After all, many players have predicted the fall of Runescape for many years now, even going as far as to say the developers are running out of ideas; yet in truth it is still going as strongly as ever, and is still growing well. Despite all the rants, people who rant only constitutes a very small part of the community: it only seems like there's a lot because they are the loudest, and contented players won't say anything. I seem to remember someone saying how sad Slayer is when it came out, and said that it proved Runescape is dying. How wrong he was. What I think is not going to improve is like people said, the community. The maturity and politeness of the players in the game. Most likely, it is going to decay, like all other MMOGs out there. You add more people, and things get harder to control, and people seem to think that it is okay to do bad stuff in a huge community where no one can chase you down. However, bear in mind that people who actually do care about the community are also a minority, the idiots and immature morons won't care at all: they simply care about inflating their little ego balloons and (in their perspective) have fun. So in conclusion: Runescape as a commercial game will go well, but Runescape as an ethical community will plummet. At least, that is what I see from the current trend.

small suggestion of mine: eating burnt food
I think what he meant was that if you catch a shark, you are guaranteed to get something that heals 10 HP no matter what. Poorly worded, and the logic is warped.

Brtihs, Deaths and Marriages
Nice one.

small suggestion of mine: eating burnt food
Maybe you could eat it, but after a year your character will get cancer and die. Sorry. Ignore me, I need my pills.

Brtihs, Deaths and Marriages
Actually, adding more spice to the game would make it more interesting, though admittedly I fail to see the point of something that certainly adds a bit of interest, but overall does not really affect gameplay. It needs to be more thought out. Also, I don't know but wouldn't recording all deaths and such eat up lots of memory? I'm no wizz at computing, but...

New way to stop autoers!
It creates too much inconvenience, and macroers will be able to evade it easily. It would be almost as bad as Pure Essence.

The 'Age' Arguement
A good thing about the Internet is that there are no age barriers. Everyone is more or less treated equally, regardless of age. People are judged by their essence, and not by their appearance.

No, the mage is severly overpowered in lower levels in fact I wouldn't complain if their powers were reduced at this level. I agree. But that applies to Members as well. Depends what you class as medium in pking terms but I agree when Rangers get to 50-60 ranged mage begins to fall back. And mages begin to lose their edge over warriors as well. Bind can be very affective in a team or clan and if you know what you're doing you'll realise how powerful it can be. Not as effective as it could be, and definitely quite useless when Soloing. Anything can be effective in large groups. Runecrafting... Craft Death runes for me. Or chaos runes, for that matter. Or are you suggesting we all fire strike our opponents to oblivion? F2P people do craft their own runes: airs and such. But they don't really cost much to start with anyway. Just the missile runes cost enough, much more than warriors and rangers have to pay for. That would completely destroy any hope of rangers and melee pking. Which is why this idea will never come to pass. Destroy melee? Mage was meant to do that. Destroy ranged? Have you seen an F2P ranger fighting an F2P mage? At higher levels, the damage of ranged and mage is almost the same, and range is way faster. Even with binding spells (which has no use apart from preventing people from running against rangers) and extra damage, it isn't going to make much difference. Think of it this way: maximum damage for F2P Ranged is 16. maximum damage of Mage is also 16. Mage is more expensive. Ranged is cheaper. Mage is slower. Ranged is faster. Rangers own Mages. Get my drift yet? A bit of extra damage and Snare is not going to do much against rangers, but it will allow Mages to actually own Warriors at higher levels. I mean, Warriors get 20+ damage, and they could simply not wear armour or slap on some dragonhide and a Mage stands no chance.

Really? Explain to me now why they gave F2P Ranging such a significant boost then. They obviously don't want to force people to play the game by making it faulty. And now, we see that F2P Mage is a faulty part of the PK Triangle, and it needs to be straightened out, just as they did for Ranged years before. Before that, F2P Rangers only had Oak Bows tops. It was seriously weak then. And now, with Ranging balanced out, Mages are now at the bottom of the PK line. No one cares about defense, Hardy. What people want is for Mages to do what Mages are meant to do: own warriors. The knowledge base said that a Mage's advantage is the ability to Bind. F2P Mages have next to no binding spell. On second thoughts, I realise you do not know exactly what the situation is in F2P. Let me explain it to you: At low levels, the F2P Mage is rather evenly balanced with the two other combat classes. At medium levels, Mages begin to fall back. At high levels, F2P Mages are basically useless. I mean, Maging is expensive, what is the point if it does not have the effects to pay for it? So you see, F2P does not need extra defense on their wizard robes - mages were never meant to have high defense anyway. What they do need is extra firepower: higher damage, though most importantly; a decent binding spell. Do you understand yet? Or should I go through it again?
-
Should F2P get skill capes?
I had always thought that F2P will get Skillcapes, so when they didn't I was a bit surprised, considering they are meant to show off the skills of a character and do not actually provide any major bonuses (at least, they aren't meant to). But either way, it is for boasting; and I really don't care for that.

Who said anything about Mystics in terms o plausibility? The main concern here is a new low level mage robes set, and maybe some extra spells, especially "Snare".

Then explain to me why they gave F2P ranged more stuff a few years ago. Also explain the Stronghold of Security. If they wanted security, they could do it in the tutorial, without all the new monsters and areas. JAGeX had balanced F2P ranged before. And they had good reason to, because if F2P players see something not working, like the Combat Triangle, they may get frustrated and quit. It would be better if everything works. And Mage, doesn't.
