  1. *puts the above poster on ignore so that I never accidentally get into a dungeon with such a lowlife*
  2. +1 I'd rather have a 45 min dungeon that is fun and relaxing with nice people than a 35 min dungeon that is stressful, nervy and full of bickering. false dichotomy you can have fun and relaxing fast dungeons with nice people, and you can have stressful nervy slow dungeons full of bickering. Where did I say you couldn't? I was saying that a dungeon being fun and relaxing is more important to me than it being a few minutes faster. A few minutes? More like 30+ minutes faster. Read the posts in the quote chain. I wasn't talking about the difference between a 30 min floor and a 1 hour floor for identical floors.

Where did I say you couldn't? I was saying that a dungeon being fun and relaxing is more important to me than it being a few minutes faster. edit: to clarify things, I will do whatever the keyer says for me to do unless I have a good reason to be doing something else, in which case I will say what I am doing. This could be making the keyer some armour to help them or making food for the team as well as ggs teleing to guardian doors. From my PERSONAL experience I have found that the best dungeons tend to be around 40-45 minutes. Which fits nicely bang in the middle of the two poll options. I don't ever stop for more than a couple of seconds doing SOMETHING that will help the dungeon along. So I'm not a typical non-rusher like the people here seem to describe them as. But on the other hand I've never been in a dungeon under 30 minutes, and those that were close seemed to be pushing at the limit that I could find a dungeon enjoyable. it's not possible to put an upper limit on this figure as it depends a LOT on the dungeon - how much food you find in drops (which determines how much fishing you need to do if any), what rooms you get and when (ferret rooms and vine flower rooms can slow dungeons down a fair bit, as can rooms where you need to make potions - sometimes you will make the pot, do one thing, then find you need another pot for the next part of the room), and when you find the boss and what the boss is (thus enabling you to decide what stuff to make for it - necrolords generally take longer to prepare for than flesh spoilers for example)

  5. To be honest that's as much players being scared of going into the wildy to kill green drags as the drop in botting
  6. It goes up to 140k xp per floor on AVERAGE? wow...
  7. Who do you suppose is posing a threat for her if she'll only last that long until knocked off this list? No one in fact... she will then pass Erw J for rank 14. In fact I see no new faces in the top 15 for the next 3-4 months at the pace everyone is going right now. At what stage do you expect skiller 703 to enter the top 15? (Presumably for Erw J?) Or is there somebdoy closer to entering the top 15 that I've forgotten about? At current rates, Tg is expected to be the next to enter the top 15 from Erw J in about 16 weeks time, though he has slowed down a bit recently.
  8. Nice, though I object to you saying this is one of the cheaper methods. Rocktails make a profit. Still cheap for that xp rate though
  9. I said that would happen but got scoffed at by people claiming that these companies reopening would somehow force up the prices of nats/laws...
  10. For anyone who cares, and just because of the convo earlier, my effigy dry streak just ended after 35 tasks (with a 26 task dry streak before the previous one) with my first ever effigy from nechryaels.
  11. He will be appalled at how easy this game is. Now that rc is half buyable. Although that might not surprise him And rc was very much buyable back before he quit. So why should that appall him?
  12. figures on my log so far from the monsters on that do list. I cant kill ice strykes yet, never had a mith drag task, not had any black drags in the log and forgot to record data for my only steel drag task (didnt give an effigy). bloodveld 0 from 770 black demons 1 from 681 hellhounds 0 from 1113 aberrant spectres 1 from 1160 dark beasts 2 from 387 dagannoth 0 from 735 iron drags 1 from 203 abyssal demons 0 from 210 Hmm doesnt look ALL that bad actually, well so long as you stare at the dark beasts figure anyway. However there are 700+ each with no effigy from basilisks (very good slay xp but seem to have been left behind the door when the effigies got handed out), banshees, nechryael, fire giants and cave crawlers as well as the ones on that list, plus various rare tasks that havent given any either.
  13. I would never betray someone for items lol. Though I had a friend betray me for a robin hood hat back in 2007. Obviously he valued that more than a 2 year long friendship.
  14. It's been in the 260-270k region a very few times. Almost all of which are actually SINCE the ge came out to all those people yelling about the glory of pre-GE. I think the most I've ever seen was slightly over 270k. Doubt it has been over 275k, and anyone who says anything much over 280k is talking bs.
  15. Tbh I'm getting rather suspicious of this whole 100k slay xp per effigy thing. I've got over 1m slay xp now since my last but one effigy. And thats with spirit mages blocked btw. edit: I'm not saying that the actual rate is 1 per million slay xp. Clearly I've had a streak of ridiculously bad luck. But it does two things: - Firstly, it shows that it's ridiculous to say "x player has y amount of effigies as they have gained z amount of slayer xp" which people seem to be doing here quite often - Secondly, even my long term rate is FAR above 1 per 100k slay xp (it's about 1 per 300k). Now factoring in that I havent been cancelling tasks based on the chance of them giving me an effigy, and perhaps there are other factors that increase your effigy rate (I can't use kuradal for example, but on the other hand I can get several tasks that Kuradal doesnt give that allegedly have good rates). Say for example that the actual rate is 1 per 120k. This is close enough to 1 per 100k that people would be able to accept 1 per 100k as a true rate in general. However, the difference from 1 per 100k to 1 per 120k comes out as 333 effigies getting to 200m from scratch. That's 333 less effigies. 333 less dragonkin lamps. Almost 46m less xp. I would say 1 per 120k is probably more accurate than 1 per 100k (note that even excluding my recent streak from the statistics completely that's still about 120% faster than I've been getting them), which would throw off the calculations a lot. Though my sample size isnt particularly huge. Would be nice to hear from someone who's done a VAST amount of slayer since effigies came out to see what their ACTUAL rate is. Edit again: if the rank 2 slayer kept every effigy between the update and the vid where she showed 300 effigies (which it seemed to imply she had) then her rate was about 1 per 140k xp, which would mean 1429 effigies in total from 0-200m slay xp (rounded up). Over 78.5m less xp from effigies than has been assumed.
  16. He has barely begun to play the game yet.... Unless he has another account that actually has somewhat decent levels in all skills he doesn't know what he's in for. Yeah, he's doing agility first then RC, not the best idea! In other news a guy that used to go to my elementary and high school just maxed his skill total Why isn't that the best idea? 99 Agility helps with RC so you don't run out of energy, whereas RC doesn't help agility. On your other news, do we care? L. Wow, you know someone in real life that's maxed.. big deal? He's not just getting 99, which he is already way past (and incidentally you dont get any boost to run beyond level 95 agility). He's getting 200m xp in both. Rc and agility being 2 of the 3 main stats that effigies are used on. Plus fishing can give quite a bit of agility xp if you do heavy rod fishing, and agility and rc are arguably the 2 biggest no-brainer choices in the effigy pairs.
  17. Oh god thats not infecting here as well is it? This happened several weekends in a row after dungeoneering came out and has happened since then too. Not a particularly notable event tbh.
  18. Another person on rsof going for 200m everything Quick find code: 154-155-457-62178846 States that he doesnt care about efficiency so probably won't be in the running for first to 200m everything (seems to be doing things in the most stupid order imaginable for a 200m everything goal), especially as he is currently level 1 in several stats. To be honest this seems like a pipe dream but he IS in the top page agility and going up ranks reasonably fast in that so does have some dedication.
  19. No the votes for it is somewhere between 897000 and 908000. Still a while before 1m votes in favour :P
  20. cannonballs used to be 180 - 200 each. Now they are well below normal price at 300 each. Cannons could always be used in the wildy - just most people didnt as it essentially said to pkers "I have a lot of cannonballs on me so would be very good to kill. Please do."
  21. Law world was w66/99 but I doubt it could go back to how it was. Laws used to be more than double their current price and used to need a quest to do; ess was about a quarter of its current price.
  22. i can see you are well intentioned but i don't really agree with this order. youre using the same reasoning as most skillers which although is intended to be constructive is ultimately terrible for a team. it should be: ggsing for skill doors > doing skill doors you're at <> (depends on the situation) GD's > (gating doors) > etc. wasting a set of logs is NOTHING compared to having the keyer wait at a skill door and probably die. Feedback taken into consideration. To be honest the situation with skill doors (whether the one I am on or the ggs one should have priority) depends on: - What door type it is that I am doing. Most skilling doors are so fast that it is actually faster to do the one you are at and then ggsing than to create a gatestone, drop it, and then ggs. On the other hand some puzzle rooms take ages (the vine room being by far the worst). Though if you are a few seconds from being done you may as well do it first. Sorry but the keyer will just have to endure an extra hit or two. - Whether or not I already have another door/farming patch/good room for fishing spots on a different part of the map gsed/how close the door I am being asked to do is to me already. As for the cooking one - it really depends on the situation. Such as: - how scarce logs are in the dungeon - how many more fish you have to cook (seriously if you've only got 1 more to cook you may as well do it) - how urgently the food is needed (sometimes, particularly after a nasty monolith, food is in VERY heavy demand and is more important than anything else imo - after all, the most important thing is to ensure that people dont die, which is also the reason why you wouldnt want to spend ages cooking while you are needed for a door I guess :P) - what floor you are doing (logs are more valuable in occult floors as people may want bows for necrolords) Plus its so frustrating to drag yourself away from a fire just after you've lit it, with an invy stuffed with raw cave morays :P But I guess I shouldn't be taking that into consideration. :P Although I've just had a thought - for some skill doors if you gs the fire if you've just lit it, then ggs, you can do the door and then gs back and cook most of your food before the fire runs out. :) Never thought of doing that before. :P I'll have to try to remember that (can't do dungeoneering here - dodgy internet connection at my parents' house so have to wait until I go back to uni)
  23. Personally I go at whatever pace the rest of the team seems to want me to go at. Sometimes you get teams that want you to go fast, sometimes you get teams that want you to make people armour. My stats are heavily inclined towards skilling and I will skill to make anything the team needs. I think of myself as being good at skilling in dungeons and not so good at the combat elements. So I spend a lot of the time making pots/doing skilling doors (I will often do these while other people are doing gds, particularly ones that take a long time like the vine room) or fishing and cooking food, which there is ALWAYS a big demand for unless some idiot has spent all the teams cash on food. Of course if there is more than one person doing this then it slows down the dungeon a LOT. But my skilling stats are almost inevitably higher than anyone else in the team's so it is usually me that is wanted for that sort of thing. I DO ggs for gds if not doing something important at the time. My very rough priorities (adapted for the dungeon): Finishing cooking once I've lit the logs (so as not to waste them - doesnt take long anyway) > Doing skilling doors I am already on (except vine room where i will make gs and come back :P) > ggsing for skilling doors > making essential items for the boss if the dg is almost done > ggsing for doing rooms > making altar > making pots > fishing > other skilling If for any reason I don't ggs immediately I will ALWAYS explain why I am not. The only things that annoy me are: - When people waste all the cash on stuff like fish when it is wanted for more important things - When people hoard items that they arent using - When people dont talk to each other - When people just stand around completely wasting time ^ those four are what cause dungeons to fail imo.
  24. If someone offered 100k per run it wouldnt just be noobs that it would be the best money for lol...
  25. I dont know where you were looking at for a 4m slay record - people have got far higher than that before.
