  1. broken petition skewed in favour of a result that will break the game and even the poll itself is tearing the game apart good to see that tip it has put up a nice announcement trying to encourage people to vote for RWTers
  2. pre frost dragon bones? lol... Think more along the lines of pre-ectofunctus, no gilded altar, little to no bone market, no ourg bones etc. and, in lilyuffie's case, no dragon bones either. I'm not sure if the reports of her killing all of her own giants for 99 prayer are true but I wouldn't be surprised if they were.
  3. While this is true, since the GE came out, all these players you mentionned have been in the same playing field as the current leaders. If they had kept the same pace, they would have more XP than the current leaders. XP/Hr is only good on a given short period of time, between major game changing updates. Old timers are at a disadvantage because they chose not to train fast skills, quit for some time or simply stopped racing with the others. I was talking about the xp/hr list, not the overall rankings. Not sure if you understood that or not from your post.
  4. Players who have been around a long time are at a distinct disadvantage - look at Thehate, Lilyuffie88, Ashley, Whitemagem, Samanthanz - all big in RSC/very early rs2 days, all near the bottom of the list. On the other hand only a couple of the top 30 were playing for more than a year before the ge came out, making runescape massively faster. And I don't think anyone on there above Empror1 had been heard of back then (pre-GE). Very impressed with how high up he manages to get as a longer term runescaper.
  5. Why cite a screenshot that is known to be a fake?
  6. Yes. If any alchable item is duped it would have similar effects. The problem is that they were introduced in enormous quantities in a small time period. You may say it's cheaper ranged, but no one is going to train with dragonstone bolts. Even if they fall to 2k each, that's still unfathomably expensive for training. Rune bolts were already like 900 each, and NO ONE used those for training. I use rune bolts for slayer tasks =\ But no I wouldn't even dream of using dragonstone bolts - far too expensive. And that isn't going to change. Even if it does that would force the price of rune bolts down a lot (given that making dstone bolts is one of the uses for rune bolts + cross elasticity of demand etc), thus preserving their comparative attractivenss.
  7. If the number of people with 99 strength reflects the popularity of pvp then that means that everything every pker has ever said is wrong - as the starts of the big increases coincide nicely with just about everything pkers dislike. I would instead suggest another cause - summoning. Lots of people started killing stuff for charms, which boosted their combat stats. Slayer also saw a huge (!) boost around the same time. Herblore costs a LOT more than construction at the moment :P
  8. If you look at the graphs I posted carefully, you'll see that until mid 2008, cooking WAS the most common stat. Here is a graph showing just strength cooking and fletching. Note that the y axis starts at 20000 (for added clarity):
  9. To put you guys into perspective... 99 slayer at soul wars takes about the same amount of time as 200m mining xp does. I really don't feel that soul wars devalues untrimmed slayer that much - although it makes it a bit easier if you are doing combat with slayer too. I know I would never ever soul wars slayer (the 4 games of soul wars I played to test the xp don't count). Saying that soul wars makes untrimmed slayer too easy is a bit like saying that making bowstrings makes crafting too easy - except of course bow strings is 5 times faster xp than soul wars is for slayer...
  10. I can't do that as I don't have data at exactly monthly intervals (the figures on the x axis were put in by excel and are not the dates I have figures for) - the actual time gap between the bits of data varies from 3 weeks to 3 months. However I could calculate the average number per day between each data set and do a graph of that, which would show roughly the same thing. Would you like that?
  11. Changes over time (dating back roughly 2 years): Note: all data collected and collated by me. If for any reason you wish to recreate these images anywhere please acknowledge this. I have all the individual stat data too so just ask if you want it. I don't come on Tip.it very often though so it's probably best to pm me in game as well as on here. :) Looks like not much has been happening? Well take a look at this. Here are the % iincreases in each stat ranked from most to least between the first and last data set (summon excluded): 1. Slayer 921.4% 2. Farming 816.5% 3. Construction 783.2% 4. Herblore 748.3% 5. Hunter 574.5% 6. Firemaking 536.6% 7. Smithing 527.5% 8. Runecraft 521.0% 9. Firemaking 483.0% 10. Agility 459.3% 11. Fishing 416.5% 12. Ranged 392.2% 13. Mining 368.4% 14. Magic 347.0% 15. Woodcutting 329.0 16. Thieving 317.7 17. Hitpoiints 297.7 18. Strength 289.3% 19. Prayer 283.1% 20. Defence 274.8% 21. Attack 216.3% 22. Cooking 210.6% 23. Fletching 198.0%
  12. 23 summon and it could well stay that way forever.
  13. This was shortly after hunter came out so the top page was a bit messed up. Hmm I'll see if I have any old highscores pictures... Edit: Oldest I have is only slightly older than yours (the day hunter came out). Here it is anyway though:
  14. Now that you've mentioned them you have to upload them. Please? Anyway there aren't that many to check through - jagex only kept 24 of the old pictures.
  15. Saving bandwidth was the only real reason they gave for deleting them. And thanks Fellony. Anyone else got any of them?
  16. Hi, As you may or may not be aware, back in February Jagex reduced the players galleries down to only a handful, deleting all the images other than a few of their personal favourites - which I must say do not coincide with my favourites. This did not bother me much at the time, for I had saved my favourites onto a computer. However, shortly after this time that computer broke. I had not saved the pictures onto anything else as I had assumed that they would always be available from the players gallery. It was a long time before I thought of doing this (indeed the idea was only triggered by the update today), but I am now asking for anyone who has any pictures that were removed with the players galleries changes stored on their computer to upload them and post them or a link to them on here. If you can then please give the original title and credit to the artist whose picture it is. I know that there are many other players out there who would love to have access to some of these pictures again too, so if you don't mind then could you please? Thanks, PlqX (P.S. apologies if this is in the wrong place - I don't use this forum very much as you can probably tell (lol at my join date and post count). I did a couple of quick searches and no similar posts were found anywhere on the forum, but if there is one out there with an obscure name and text then please point me in its direction. Thanks.)
  17. I always gave back just about everything I got from death drop piles, so not much at all... Perhaps a couple of shark? I got a lot of unids that way though.
  18. Assuming that I had unlimited cash, yet valued cash at the same amount as I do now: Minigame-obtainable: Fighter torso: 0gp - useless to me Penance gloves: around 40k - would have been more before the agility changes but nowadays I hardly need it. Full castle wars gold and blue decorative Armour with sword: gold castlewars armour? about 15m - I would put it in my house Expert dragon archer hat: well the very act of being tradable would devalue it, but with current valuations (this applies to everything else too) around 7m - I'd value some of the lower ones higher though as they look nicer. Vanity ftw. Full void knight set: 0gp - again, useless. Firelighter: between 500gp and 2k depending on the colour. Full rogues armor: around 300k Fire cape: 250k? I really don't value this very high. Full lumberjack costume: 90M - I like woodcutting and this would come in very useful. Shame I can't practically get it. Quest-obtainable: Magic secateurs: got but assuming I didn't around 250k Dramen staff (and thus ability to use fairy rings): got 7 but assuming I didn't around 50k - that would make it worth not bothering getting another Barrows gloves: 0gp - useless again Barrelchest Anchor: 0gp - useless and looks stupid Ava's accumulator: 10k Holiday items: Bunny ears: 10M Scythe: 4M Yo-yo: got but if I didn't, 1.5M Rubber chicken: got but if I didn't, 70M Zombie head: got but if I didn't, 700k Hats/carve: got but if I didn't, 150k-400k per set Puppet: 600k Easter Ring: got but if I didn't, 12M Other Skull sceptre: 50k - not really useful Giant pouch (without having to have 75 rc): got but if I didn't, 8M Flippers: 0gp Salve amulet (e): 0gp Ghostly robes (with shadow sword): 150k Agility arena ticket: 600gp Varrock Armor 3: got but if I didn't 600k Karamja gloves 3: 200k Big shark: got loads but if I had never had any, 70k KBD head: 350k KQ head: 450k Imp in a box: 1400gp Charms: Gold: 1200gp Green: 1000gp Crimson: 1800gp Blue: 2500gp Obsidian: 500gp Abyssal: 600gp
  19. 1903/82 = 23.20731707 Need 65 levels to reach 24... eek...
  20. Well done :) I know the person you were talking to in public chat lol :P
  21. Does anyone else find the idea of a female rabbit santa carrying a scythe a bit... odd...
  22. World 71 because it is the greatest world ever. By far. My other "favourite" world is world 60, which I log onto once a week for penguins - so about 80% of the times when I'm not going on world 71.
  23. Penguins>star (though I almost never find them)>tree>others
