  1. There are very few F2P items that "you can get a good supply of" that are worth hi-alching. Probably one of the best items is Steel Plate. Lots of smiths make them to raise smithing. They Hi-alch for 1200 so if you buy a Nat for 300 and the plate for 900 you would just break even. Otherwise, use the Tip It Hi Alch calculator to select items. Hope this helps
  2. You can use almost any location if you use the right technique. Namely, pull the monster over to you using a Curse spell and then shoot it from a safe spot. I always liked using the Lesser's on the top of Crandor Island. there are safe spots in the SE and North of the area. I never needed any food and there was rarely any competition for the 2 spawns. If you used the Curse pulling trick then all of your arrows will be in the loot pile when the Lesser dies. Also, if you shoot them in a ping-pong style then you can kill both at once and after they die, there is no danger if you want to wander around. And, even though you said you didn't care, you will get the occasional Rune med. Finally, if you pick up your arrows, it will take you about 2400 bronze arrows to reach your goal Hope this helps
  3. Well, if you want to maximize the magic exp that you earn then you should attack a high HP monster. So, you could use the caged lesser in the top of the wizzy tower, or the lessers under the Karamja volcano, or the lessers past the Karamja secret door, of the lessers on the top of Crandor Island. I always liked doing the Crandor lessers since there are safe spots and, usually, they are almost always available. If you attack them right, then you can fight 2 at once. That makes getting the loot easier after they both die. BTW, you should earn about 950000 magic exp from those Death runes. Hope this helps
  4. Actually, once you can mine iron at level 15, it's 93034 iron ore until level 85 IIRC, the Al-Kharid mine has some iron rocks right at the south-east entrance. So you could try there. Otherwise, use the Tip It mining guide to select ore. Hope this helps
  5. Actually, it's more like 2.5 times as fast. You get 5x the RC exp for enchanting the Tiara compared to the ess but you have to have half of your inventory in tiaras and the other half in talis. So, 28 ess made into Air runes would give 28*5 = 140 But 14 Tiaras and 14 Talis would give 14*5*5 = 350 So the improvement is 350/140 = 2.5 times as fast I just wish that Talis were easy to get by the thousands... Hope this helps
  6. (2^31)-1 2,147,483,647 Because a signed, 32 bit number is what RS uses. It depends on how the Jagex complier of Runescipt handles signed overflow errors. Generally speaking, either it will crash or "overflow" to a large negative number. If you were working with a 4 bit signed number, you could represent numbers from -8 to +7 So, if you had +7 and added 1 to it (0111 + 0001) you would get 1000 in binary which is -8 in the number scheme used. That may or may not be noticed by the system. Consider what happens on old cars when they pass 99999 miles. The odometer rolls over to start back at 0. (The car that I ride in has already done that twice!) Another example, I had a Monopoly program that I used to play against. The max number used was 2^15-1 (32767) So I managed to get $32000 in my bank and then the computer landed on my Boardwalk full of Hotels and had to pay me $2000. So my total cash was $32000+$2000 = $34000 That is greater than 32767 and "signed overflowed" the number to -31536 At that point that computer saw that I was "bankrupt" and promptly declared itself the winner! #-o Lol Hope this helps
  7. Medium low level monsters. For good loot you fight high level monsters (Greaters, Lessers, Ice giants, Moss giants, etc) But for fast exp you want to fight frequently spawning monsters that you can kill quickly and that can't hurt you much. I would recommend monsters from level 20-39 That includes pirates, city guards, Hobgoblins, red spiders, black/white knights, etc. Use the Tip It monster list to select some. I got to level 100 in F2P by slaughtering thousands of Pirates in the non-ice part of the Blurite/Ice-giant mine. I didn't even need any food. Hope this helps.
  8. Yeah, making Bodies is better since Jagex removed the western wall in Edgeville and added the Barbarian village shortcut to the altar.
  9. Actually, it would take about 10500 Mind runes, 21000 Air runes, and a Fire staff. You mistakenly used the Max hit for Fire Strike instead of the average hit. So, using your own price values, that would cost you about 579000 Well, you could cast 6527 failed Curses to reach your goal. That would require 6527 Body runes, 13054 water runes, and an Earth staff to do. Using prices similar to the above, it would cost you about 360500 Hope this helps
  10. I'm F2P so I can't say much about P2P training methods but failed Cursing is very cost effective. Careful!... You just told us your RS name and that you share items between accounts. That is a violation of Jagex's rules and can get you banned! It's always a tradeoff between money and time. Keep in mind that when you are earning money, you are "consuming" time that you could have used earning Mage exp by casting. You could also try Crumble Undead, it gives about 39 exp per cast instead of 34 like Fire Bolt does. Hope this helps.
  11. You could also fail Curse in any multi-combat zone, that way, if you did "hit" you would have another target available. You could try casting from the key room in the Varrock sewers across the water in the 4 zombie ladder room. Or try the screen room in the west second floor of the White knight castle. It's multi-combat and you can cast through the screen. Hope this helps
  12. About 16000 failed Curses will get you, cheaply, to 66. You can make your own Body and Earth runes and then cast with a Water staff. Do the Knights (Blurite) sword quest first. Then you have a few options: -- You can buy coal and iron, make steel bars, and then sell the bars for a slight profit and slight smithing exp. -- or do the above and then smith some steel products. that will earn you 55 smithing exp per smelted/smithed bar. You will lose money though. -- or mine your own coal and iron and make steel bars. If you then sell the bars you can make good money but little exp. If you smith the bars you will get good exp and a little money. Very slow though. -- or mine only iron and then smelt/smith iron products. You will lose about half of your ore since you're F2P but you won't spend any time trying to get the harder coal ore. You could mine the iron rocks at the entrance of the Al Kharid mine, walk to the Al Kharid furnace to smelt the bars, and then bank and repeat. Or, mine at Varrock SE mine, bank, and then smelt in Al Kharid. Later, smith them at the Varrock west anvils. You can either chop and burn or buy and burn. Popular chopping spots are Lumbridge, Draynor, and Rimmington. IF you have a little money, then Willow logs are usually available in the Lumbridge and Rimmington general stores for about 12 gp each. Hope this helps
  13. The underground section is P2P. The above ground section is (mostly) F2P.
  14. Lol, I like the way that you think! It's kind of a Chicken-and-Egg situation. I usually pick a world "close" to me to limit connection/lag problems. Otherwise, I world hop if it gets very crowded.
  15. It split into 2 regions. The cheap ore is in the "old" SE corner and the "good" ore is in the SW corner. So, actually Mith and Addy mining there is now closer to the Draynor bank. It happened when the put in the new Lumbridge bank and other stuff. Hope this helps
  16. Well, I know for certain that you can do it by fighting bare fisted against random event monsters while heavily weakened. It's probably best to do this now, before you really "need" it. That way, you can always fix it if you do end up hitting too hard.
  17. My understanding of how it works is when you click to walk to a place in front of you, but there is an obstacle that prevents you from walking directly towards it. However, if the RS walking system sees that you can get there by going backward to get around the obstacle, then it moves you backward first and then forward. However, the whole time is has your character doing the forward walk animation, hence, you moonwalk for a short time. You can also do it by following someone (depending on your positions)
  18. Spend 1560 gp buying 130 willow logs in the Lumbridge or Rimmington general stores, and then, of course, burn them.
  19. Yep, and same goes to other combat stats too i think. Well, what the Tip It magic guide says is that you get 1 pt of magic exp and 1 pt of def exp for every damage point that you inflict The normal magic exp earned is Exp = BaseExp + 2*HitDone So it looks like you would earn exp (when training in Def style) as Mage exp = BaseExp + 1*HitDone Def exp = 1*HitDone HP exp is always HitDone*4/3 (except when fighting against Random event monsters)
  20. Killing random event monsters gives only 1/10 the normal exp. 1/10? Pretty sure. But it is a bit hard to test. Well it would be an effective value of 1/40 if you fought in controlled. So if someone wanted to get 1 unit of exp then they could get themselves cursed by the Zammy wine monks (or whatever) to lower their combat effectiveness, and then fight bare fisted against the random event monster. If they carefully watched their stats, they could run away from the fight at just the right time when they reached their goal(s) That's how I got my Atk, Str, and Def to all be perfectly matched. :)
  21. Killing random event monsters gives only 1/10 the normal exp.

Well, any place with a safe spot, fence, wall, table, etc will work. You could try the Al-kharid palace guards from behind the fence, Draynor village jail guards, guards in Varrock palace and city walls, fortress guards outside the Black knight fortress, Barbarians, Crandor, Island Moss giants, etc. Many monsters have a certain "walk around in" region. If you shoot from just outside this region then they won't touch you. Also, there are safe spots in the Varrock sewers, Edgeville sewers, Karamja volcano, etc that you can use. You should cast a Curse on the monster first to pull it over to your safe spot before you start to shoot it.. Hope this helps
  23. Well, obviously the Lesser since it has the most HP. Range exp is earned as HitDone*4 Btw, ranging in "Long Range" style splits that exp with Defense. But I suspect that you meant to ask "What is the best place to raise my range from 70 to 80?" Since most ranging is done from safe spots the choice of a monster to hunt comes down to things like: availability, loot, distance from a bank, respawn time, etc. I always liked ranging the 2 lessers on the top of Crandor Island. They are almost always available and there are safe spots to the North and East of their wander area. If you want to be efficient and safe, then cast a Curse on your target first. That will cause the monster to walk over to you and stand just outside of your safe spot. Then, and only then, start to shoot it. That way, you will never get hit by the monster (so you don't need to bring any food), and all of your pickup-able arrows are in the monster loot pile. I used to train for days at a time and never leave that island. Btw, it will take you about 16,440 Bronze arrows or 16,270 Iron arrows to reach level 80. Hope this helps
  24. If you want loot then train on Lessers, Ice giants, or Moss giants. If you want "fast" training exp then train on monsters around levels 15-35 You earn combat exp according to the hit that you make on the monster and not (directly) on the level of the monster. Lower level monsters are easier to hit and will hit you less often. As a result, you will be a more effective fighter against lower levels than against higher levels. Plus, you will need a lot less food and the fight will go faster. Finally, lower level monsters tend to be more available than higher level monsters. My last 4 million combat exp was earned using the Pirates that are in the front, non-ice part of the Blurite-ore/Ice-Giant cave. There are lots of lower level monster around, use the Tip It monster list to select some. Remember, high level for loot but low level for exp. Hope this helps
  25. There are 23 Yew trees in the F2P world. The official Jagex world map will flash their locations when you select the show "rare trees" button. They are located: 4 NW of Rimmington 3 south of Fally 1 North of Port Sarim 4 between Draynor Village and Lumbridge Castle 1 in the Lumbridge graveyard 1 south of Varrock 3 around the Earth altar 1 next to the NE Varrock church 3 behind the Varrock palace 2 in Edgeville The 2 Edgeville and 3 Varrock trees are usually the most popular. Hope this helps
