Need help raising magic...
Well, for HP earning spells consider this: Mind rune: Fire Strike averages about 19 per cast Chaos rune: Fire Bolt averages about 34 per cast Chaos rune: Crumble Undead averages abour 39 per cast Death rune: Earth Blast averages about 46 per cast. (Death rune: Fire Blast averages about 50 per cast.) So, The cheapest exp is to craft your own Mind runes and cast fire strike. A tradeoff between magic exp and cost is to use Chaos runes. Fastest exp is to use Death runes. In terms of magic exp earned per gp spent buying runes, Crumble Undead (Chaos) is probably your best choice. Death rune spells hit harder than Chaos rune spells but Death runes cost quite a bit more. The Strike, Bolt, and Blast spells can be autocast, but in F2P, Crumble Undead can't be autocast. If you do use Crumble Undead then try casting from the key room in the Varrock sewers across the water into the 4 zombie ladder room. It's always perfectly safe there because the zombies can't reach you and no monsters spawn there. It's multicombat so you will almost always have a target. It will take about 2905 Crumble Undead spells to reach level 59. 59 is the magic level that you need to be to be able to cast all F2P spells. If you decide to use Strike, Bolt, or Blast spells then try casting on the elemental wizards southwest of Fally. Use the kind of spell that the wizard himself is. That way, the wizard will last a long time. You will need good magic defense and food if you use those guys. Hope this helps.

Wine of Zamorak
Are you sure you can speak to the Monks? For them all I only have the Attack option... You could in RSC. Hmmm, but I don't think I've tried it in the present version of RS...

best place 2 train range?
For F2P, I always liked doing the 2 Lesser Demons on Crandor Island. Don't forget to "pull" them with a Curse spell first. That way, getting your arrows back is super easy. Hope this helps

Wine of Zamorak
Bring a friend or 2. IIRC, if you talk to them first they don't curse you before fighting. So, try talk-fight-kill then repeat. Hope this helps

F2P Pure Ranger...
Bronze: Power=71000, Pickup=17800 Iron: Power=70400, Pickup=17600 Well, almost any monster that has a fence, table, etc between you and it will work. You could try monks, jail guards, Al Kharid palace guards, wizards, barbarians, pirates, goblins, etc. For the monks you can shoot from behind the backyard fence (they will also heal you for free) For the jail guards, shoot from behind the fence. For the Palace guards, shoot from behind the low wall. For the wizards, wear your best range gear for the magic defense. For the barbarians, shoot from outside the fence gates. For the pirates, shoot from outside their wander range. For the goblins, shoot from behind fences. You could even try the white knights in their screen torture room. They have high defense but they won't normally attack you. So it makes fighting them easy if you shoot through the screens. Hope this helps

worst armor for magic?
Exactly right Well, -65 is enough for me, at level 81 magic, to always fail a Curse. If you want to wield an Earth staff (or water staff) then you should also wear green dragon hide vambraces. The Staff will add +10 to magic attack but the vambraces add -10 to bring you back down to -65. Hope this helps

F2P Range Help...
It is west of the crafting guild cow pen. Most rangers shoot from the cow pen area across the water. The trouble with that method is that you lose your arrows and you can get about 4 times as many shots from your arrows if you pick them up. So, if you can, you should try and find a monster that you can hunt that allows you to pick up your arrows. City guards, monks, south Varrock wizards, jail guards, Al Kharid guards, etc could work for you. Hope this helps

whats the fastest way to get mage lvl up?
Generally speaking, the fastest way to raise magic is to cast the highest level spells that you can. But that's also the most expensive way. How much money are you willing to spend? What is you RC level? Are you P2P of F2P? The most cost effective way is probably to cast failed Curses. If you have some money, then casting Crumble Undead is good. Look in the Tip It magic exp guide for more info. The average exp that you get is just "Exp gained" plus "max hit" (Btw, the Crumble Undead info in the chart is still wrong) Hope this helps

F2P Range Help...
Do you "pull" with a Curse spell first? If you do then all of your recoverable arrows are in the monster loot pile when it dies. It makes picking them all up really easy and safe because you take 1 step out of your safe area, get all of the arrows with 1 click, and then step back into the safe area again. I always liked ranging the 2 lessers on the top of Crandor island. There are safe spots to the north and east of their area. I would normally stay there for days and never bother to bring any food. I didn't need any because of the Curse pulling. You can actually range both at once (ping pong) so that they die almost at the same time. Then if you do have to run around their area, it's safe because they are both dead. I liked those 2 guys because I could almost always get them to myself. The Crandor Mossies are nice. There is a safe spot against the northern wall and just north of the west mossie spawn. Finally, your arrow supply could get you to about level 81 ranging. Hope this helps

Help me get to 40 crafting in F2P please...
Yes, a nice set of instructions. It should take you about 11 full trips to reach your goal.

Whats harder?
Well, getting 800 iron bars out of 1600 ores will require about 58 trips to the furnace "smelting" 28 on each trip But doing 580 steel bars will require 65 trips smelting 9 on each trip. So, it looks like steel would be faster. Also, smelting 800 iron bars will earn you 10000 smithing exp and the 580 steel bars would earn you 10150 exp. Getting 1600 iron ore could cost you about 160k gp but the bars could be sold for, maybe, 200k for a 40k gp profit. The ores for 580 steel bars could cost you around 260k gp but the bars could be sold for about 320k gp for a 60k gp profit. So it looks like steel would be faster, give a bit more exp, and earn you more profit. Hope this helps

200k Iron Arrows
133k arrows to 99 if you pick them up 530k arrows to 99 if you don't pick them up. The approximate max hit by Range level and arrow type is something like: Max hit with Iron = (Range+15)/9 Max hit with Mith = (Range+13.5)/7.5 Hope this helps

range question
If you don't pick up, then you can reach level 36 If you do pick up, then you can reach level 54. If you meant "Level 51" range then If you don't pick up, then you can reach level 53 If you do pick up, then you you can reach level 60 Hope this helps
-
200k Iron Arrows
If you pick them up, then 133k arrows will get you to 99 If you do not pick them up, then 200k arrows will get you to almost 89. Otherwise, 530k arrows will get you to 99. Also, cast a Curse on the monster first to pull it over to your safe spot. Hope this helps

Muddy Key
It opens the muddy chest at the end of the wildy lava maze. That chest contains stuff worth, maybe, 5k gp. This is what the Tip It monster bestiary says about the Chaos Dwarves Here's the location of the chest Hope this helps

Where to train my pure ranger
Read this post to compute arrow usage when picking them up. Approximately: ___________________________ 1. Number of arrows = 150914 Lvl 3-15 = 137 Lvl 15-30 = 408 Lvl 30-45 = 1200 Lvl 45-60 = 4082 Lvl 60-99 = 145087 1) Range exp is earned according to the hit that is done to the monster and not on the monster's level. So the monster that you train on doesn't need to be high to be a good training monster. I would select the monster based on loot drops, closeness to a bank, safety in picking up arrows, food required, etc. I used to train on the Crandor Island Lesser Demons mainly because I could get them to myself most of the time. 2) Cast a Curse on the monster first to pull it over to your safe spot. Then, start to range it. This way you don't run all over the place picking up arrows, they will all appear in the monster's loot pile when it dies. Hope this helps.

The uses of:
It's 1.5 times the general store "value" when no items of that kind are in stock. So you can easily find out the Hi-alch value of anything without having to actually hi-alch it. Hope this helps.

Just 3 questions:
No. The rune long has no special properties when used against demons. It is usually viewed the other way around. Namely, that the silverlight sword (made from weak metal) is just as effective as a rune long sword (made from harder metal) but only when you are using the Silverlight against demons. There is no "Best" weapon. The best weapon to use in any fight is the one that is most effective against the monster's defenses. For example, none of the weapons that you mentioned would exploit the weakness to Stab based attacks that all chainmail wearing monsters have. Another example, Ice giants are vulnerable to Crush attacks, so the good slash ability of the scimmy is wasted against them. But the crush ability of the 2h could be very effective. As you know, RS swords have different speeds, different accuracies, and a different strength bonus. In general, slower weapons hit harder than faster weapons. But with amulet, prayer, and potion bonuses, faster and weaker weapons can become very powerful. Many players prefer to train with a fast weapon like the scimmy with combat bonus devices enabled. They are not tradeable and you can replace a lost one from Diango in Draynor village. Hope this helps

''members items for non-members'' question...
IIRC, Colored gloves too.

what are the best F2P monsters?
Well, exp is earned by the hit done and not by monster level. For melee, you earn HP exp as HitDone*4/3 and combat exp as HitDone*4 in single style or HitDone*4/3 in controlled style. A Lesser Demon has more HP than a Moss Giant so it would give more exp per kill. But it would also take longer to kill the Lesser and you would probably take more damage yourself as well What really matters for training purposes is: "What is the melee combat exp earned per hour with this monster?" So Moss Giants might very well give more exp per hour than Lessers would. What you want to do for "fast" exp training is to constantly be hitting a monster(s) nonstop. Ideally, you don't want take any damage yourself or stop to heal with food. So that suggests that the "best" monster to train on is a monster much lower than yourself with weaker defenses that spawns often. If you trained on such a monster you could be constantly hitting (earning melee exp) and not taking much damage (saves on food). So you need to find some monsters that spawn often and are lower than yourself. You could try the pirates in the front part of the Blurite cave, the 3 low level fortress guards outside the Black Knight fortress, Al Kharid palace guards, Draynor jail guards, red spiders, skellies (everywhere), goblins, hobgoblins, etc. Also, know the defensive weakness of each monster. For example, any chainmail wearing monster (city guard) is weak to a stab attack. So a scimmy would not be the weapon to use against them but a long sword should work well. Ice Giants are said to be weak against crush attacks and fire based magic. Etc, etc, etc. Now if you wanted good loot then you should train on Greater Demons, Lesser Demons, Ice Giants, Moss Giants, etc. Hope this helps

60 defense without raising HP exp? Ideas?
If kbd's method can really get you to 44, then you will need 410 lamps to reach 60 Def.

Give me a rough estimation please: Silver or Cowhide?
Well, for F2P you have... Silver: mine in guild, walk to bank. Run back to guild. Repeat. Then go to Al-Kharid bank. Walk to furnace, smelt, "auto" craft. Walk back to bank. 52.5 exp per tiara Leather: Kill cows next to guild, short walk to upstairs tanner, craft while walking, drop. repeat. 35 exp per Hard leather Clay bowls: mine clay in guild, soften, shape, "bake" all on the first floor of guild. 33 exp per clay bowl earned in 2 steps. Silver gives the most exp but wastes a lot of time walking. Leather gives 2nd most exp but spends time killing cows and walking. Bowls is a close 3rd in exp and requires only short walking. I suggest that you try each method for 1 hour. Then do whatever method gives you the most exp during that 1 hour. Hope this helps

The uses of:
I'm not a noob; I know the normal Mort Myre snail shells can be crafted into helms, next time read the words Do you really expect people to try to help you when you snap at them like that?

crafting leveling
Silver tiaras give 52.5 Involves a lot of walking from the bank to the furnace. Silver is expensive and/or slow to mine. Hard leather give 35 Involves a lot of walking from bank to tanner. Hides are cheaper than silver but can still take time to get. You can craft while walking though. Clay bowls give 33 Very little walking involved. You can mine, soften, shape, and "bake" all in the first floor of the crafting guild. Hope this helps

60 defense without raising HP exp? Ideas?
Actually, it will take "only" 613 lamps...
