  1. Basic idea behind crashing is getting the fastest kills possible using the least supplies. So basically if your team has no anti crashing setup (Normal Bandos teams nowadays should all have around 10 spec restores at least set up for when a crasher comes), you'll most likely get crashed. The best way to deal with it is to let them tank Graador. Stand away from them and if Graador walks towards his direction just flick protect from range on while killing minions. Unless they have actual solo gear (which I doubt, otherwise they'd be soloing) then they'd most likely will have to tele. Crashing at Bandos has been so common in the past year (way before free trade came out, starting with clans such as w77 Crash Unit) that people who gwd have to expect to be crashed at bandos. If you don't want to be crashed as much Sara/Arma are usually much better. Corp/Nex has almost no crashers at all if you have the level/gear requirement.
  2. Not bad, getting 120 dung by the end of this week then making money at frost drags. Also stocked up on 99 farm supplies since forever so this update is nothing but good for me. I smell Ka-ching! :) Only decision I need to make is that should I use the xp multiplier on training Agil or Farm (With Farming I'll probably stop playing for a whole weekend and only log on to maximize my used of the multiplier checking tree healths. With Agil I'll probably waste a lot of the multiplier that could be used into getting 300k xp/farm runs but gain around 100-150k xp/hr on advanced gnome course)
  3. Want to know my luck? My Bandos Hilt drop rate is 1/1032, my BCP/Tasset drop rate is 1/632, my Arma Hilt drop rate is 1/1392, my Sara Hilt drop rate is 1/742, Divine Sigil is 3 in 12k kills, Ely 3 in 12k, 5 Arcane and 6 Spectrals in 12k kills. I got my first shadow hood in dung at 102 dung. I never had a visage drop in 20k Frost kills and 99 slayer. I've gotten 1 SOL out of around 2k kills. I worked for every single GP I've made by either merching or Skilling, or just sticking to my goals. I had over 3bil bank, great stats, and great memories of every single bit of effort I put in to complete my goal. There's only one word I have for people like you. That is Laziness. EDIT: Someone should move this post to rants. It's got no discussion value and just because the OP happens to be on the Editorial team/15 minute of glory with climbing boots does not mean he gets special treatment. That is the main reason I didn't read any of the arrogant comments people such as yourself post[ed]. Personally, I didn't want to go down this road, but I must. Honestly, I dont give a [----] how you play the game, but if you are going to flame others, for having more luck than yourself, then at least don't make an ass out of you. You may of worked countless hours and days on that account, but I actually took my time to go to school, and make something of myself, rather then just sit there slaving off for millions of pixalated squares. If you still wish to say that this is just an excuse I've made, then atleast find out what other people did. I myself did many countless hours of boss hunting aswell, I have recieved 2 sara hilts, 3 bandos, many chests/plates, many sara swords, ect. The main purpose of this whole topic is for people to talk about what made them lose interest in the game, but that they dislike staking. I know, just as OP does, that I was stupid enough to stake away all my riches, but that isn't the reason I dislike it. So before you go on and make yourself look like a tool, at least read OP's post. PS: This DOESN'T belong in the rants, this is discussing peoples thoughts about their desire to play. So [----] off all of you ignorant [-----]. Thank you, Come again. Read your own post again. Look at how much you complained about your luck. Then go back to crying about how you have no interest in the game because you're too lazy to put any effort into anything.

  5. Wait I don't get this.... so you acknowledge its your own fault you staked your bank, but you say free trade made you this way and so magically you can't make money anymore? Last I checked, Corp only takes around 30m in equipment + a BGS lend to start making a solid 2-3m/hr. Bandos team just needs ags lend with around 10m in equipments to start making 1-2m/hr. Frosts can make 4m/hr. If you don't feel those are worth your while now then don't do them and really quit rs because you lost your motivation. Don't try to justify yourself by saying everyone else can make more money now so you can't play anymore. In case you pull the omg you didn't read your post argument. I'll take this time to completely dissect your post for you. Paragraph 1 - I'm ok with you up to this point. At least you're still admitting it was your mistake for staking your bank. Paragraph 2 - "Why even bother? Why slave away clicking endlessly, actually putting effort into something, only to make 1/100th of some lucky guy in three times the time it took him. It leaves me in a bad spot." Then stop playing. Don't blame your own inability to be successful on other people's success. That's like saying "Bill Gates and Steve Jobs sucks because they can make money faster than I can" Paragraph 3 - "All the people getting lucky or getting hookups. We have the stakers potentially making millions, and while most will lose it again, some are smart and bank it away slowly." Friends gift stuff to each other. Its polite and if I feel like giving my friend an AGS then I'm allowed to do so. As for stakers making millions, most stakers I've seen quit and stop playing because they lose their bank. It's only the 1/10 stakers that actually make bank. Then there's the responsible ones who won't stake more than 50m a day because they know the risk. I could care less what other people's luck can get them because it does not affect MY game play. I play this game for fun and not so I can be an attention hog yelling out to the world saying LOOK AT ME! All this showed me is your jealousy at other people's success once again. "We have the Runescape YouTube heroes taking money off their fanboys or whatever you prefer calling them, for nothing" - Its their fanboy's choice to give items to some successful video maker items. If you feel your fanboys aren't dedicated enough because the last good vid you made was the climbing boot vid and that you milked that for all its worth then make another vid about the Jagex conspiracy in staking. -Something about merchants flipping items that I don't care about- " I am none of those three things." - So? Just because now people can make money (Or more often lose money) Staking, pking, merching, etc doesn't mean your old money making methods don't work anymore. "Knowing this, I find it really hard to get myself back to actual moneymaking grinds, and profiting paltry amounts in contrast to the above three." - I'm sorry, did I already tell you to quit? Everything else - If you feel this strongly, quit rs. Or you can do a We Pay We Say/PayToNotPK campaign, wait 3 years, wait till the referendum to remove free trade is out, then click on that bright yellow YES button. --------------------- Do not say you're not blaming FT. You said multiple times that FT Has taken away your want to continue playing this game. Quit or suck it up and start rebuilding. "All in all it has ruined my enjoyment on the game" "I would have never imagined this would be the thing to ruin my love for it." "I find it really hard to get myself back to actual moneymaking grinds"
  6. I'm guessing you like the FT update. 300m -> Around 3bil in a little over a week. Grats lol Get Full torva to look hawt with the hat now (:
  7. I understand what the OP means. As a woman who plays this online game it is terribly annoying when people comes up to you making sexist and frankly childish/insulting remarks. I plan on leaving my filter on at all times. When I speak to my friends we usually talk on IRC so I do not need to worry about in game chat as much anyways. Overall I'd say this was a good update simply because it gives the people a choice to either deal with the profanities or to censor them.
  8. Grats on being kicked from cc in the end rofl ;) i think white might be at or above max cash. Not too sure though. That guy who staked with you is a serious idiot not to have brought a titan with him in a summon on duel lol. Would have sucked for you if he remembered his steel titan ;) Was that the glitch or just people using the healing summon? Look at the mini map, he's in the summon arena, the other guy was just an idiot.

  10. What if they just actually make a new RS currency? Brand new in like Eastern lands. Have new armor weapon that's only purchasable with the new currency and allow for it to balance out in RS eventually. If say the new currency is used to buy items on the same tier as Bandos/Arma or even Barrows that could lead it to become 1:1000 exchange rate to gp allowing for Phats to be buyable again. It'll probably be a bit of work but I think it might be a simpler solution to the max cash problem RS is having. Also introducing some more macroeconomics to merching might make merching interesting. Imagine if the GE becomes as sophisticated as the IRL money market. Would give merching a whole new meaning in RS.
  11. Good move by Jagex tbh. More investors = more capital = more room to expand. From a business perspective it is a nice step forward. Selling out isn't necessarily a bad thing, the last time Jagex sold out was when RS was advertised to the Miniclip community, look at how many new users started off that way. Old school players might not like the Miniclip move to even this day but it is undeniable that Jagex would not have expanded to the company it is today without that step. EDIT: Would be nice if Jagex actually goes public and starts selling shares, I would certainly pick up a few (:
  12. Oohhhh...never mind, you were trolling this whole time. You almost had me there. dat 4 female team (110 109 117 114 dg) ggs was at that gd for a good 3 minutes and I ended up solo'ing half of it before one more came to help (yes I said gtgd in chat) brb getting sharpshooter and berserker while keying Save a few ones that can actually key themselves, there's no hope for them exotic creatures ;( Owait saw the last line. You're still a sexist pig though. xx
  13. Yup, got it. It doesn't do anything if you click cancel. I'm not sure what it is though.
  14. Just want to point out, a poll alone doesn't tell the whole story. Anyone can key less than 20 minute DGs by suicide keying (had a 14 minute large because a 200m xp keyer was keying it and suicided the whole way). 60 minute also doesn't necessarily mean it can't be fun. I mess around occasionally with clanmates of mine who needs to get a chaotic weapon by going at their pace getting familiars I would otherwise never make and getting full tyrano along with my hex hunter just to see what I can do with it (Watching them Gawk at my constant 550s+ on bosses is fun). I just as easily can finish dungs (although since I got the hhb I have refused to key unless I'm with friends only. No prime plate = keyer's hell) in under 20 when I want to but it is just fun sometimes going with friends and messing around. Basically what I'm saying here is don't assume everyone wants to finish floors in under 20 minutes and be "uber pr0z" at dung getting on runetracker's top 42 xp gain every day. You assuming everyone wants that is just as annoying as they are to you when they clearly show you that they just want to relax and finish a floor at their own pace.
  15. I thought it was pretty intuitive that Rushers -> 3bo, nonrushers -> 117. I rush, therefore I never touch 117. Never really have a problem except for maybe 1 person in a given week. Uh, no. 117 = chickens running around with their heads cutoff. 117 is not a non-rush world, it's a "we don't know what we're doing" world. From what I understand, the quality of 3BO teams is slipping very fast, so it's no longer synonymous with pro-rushing. 148 is supposed to be a rush world, but I would actually say that it's become a non-rush world for the most part, which is very odd considering its origins. w53 is still generally ~25-30 minute a floor. Definately a drop off from pre-FT, but it's still tolerable. w148 also had some 3bos leaking into it seeing as its hard to get teams in 53 nowadays so 148 quality is actually getting a bit better. I'd still say w117 is a non rush world seeing as people make full katagon/gorganite + worldbearers

  17. It's not really obvious that a 138 rusher will do better than a lvl 3 skiller. Because a lvl 3 skiller can lower the combat level of the monsters. Pro lvl 3 skillers are able to provide a constant flow of prayer potions and melee potions for the room clearers to turmoil and pot the entire floor. Which is why some people like DGing with a single skiller, as, it CAN be faster than with a 138 rusher in his place. And I never said anything about someone who is not efficient at DG being mutated or diseased. I said they lack manners. You make it sound like I think there's something inherently wrong with them. No, I just dislike their attitude towards social circumstances. and for the THIRD time this thread. I didn't say I judge people for doing floors slowly. I said that if I was forced into a position where I had to dg with 4 ppl who liked DGing slowly. I would DG slowly. I said, specifically, multiple times. That the majority of scenarios, are that of rushers with a few slower DGers. And that if these slower DGers think they are entitled to DG slowly even if they are in the minority, they are just very selfish. While you think they're selfish for DGing slowly, they're thinking you're selfish because you're telling them what to do as if you own them. Who are you to tell people how they're suppose to play a game? If everyone plays this game like you then we'd all be the same levels with the same xp saying the exact same things. Much rather have some variety like there is right now.
  18. there are good lvl 3 skillers that can pull their weight in dungeoneering floors, and are accepted in clans like 3BO I know people who go out of their way to DG with such certain skillers who've made a name for themself. So yes I would fault a lvl 3 skiller for sucking. idk what PKing has to do with this. That's not team related. There's nothing wrong with a person wanting to do a floor in an hour. There is something wrong with a person wanting to do a floor in an hour, when 4 players on the team want to do the floor in 20 minutes. And the person wanting to do the floor in an hour is stubborn about his preferences. I mean, hypothetically, if I were in a team with 4 slow DGers. Sure, i'd be polite and oblige and do a 1 hour floor with them so they can have fun. (granted I would never put myself in this position in the first place) But, I'm pretty sure most DGers prefer fast floors. Heck, lets make a poll and find out. A level 138 who knows how to rush will always make a team faster than a lvl 3 who knows how to rush. And you're missing my point. You feel that any one who's not efficient in DG is somehow mutated or diseased. But that is nothing but a prejudice based off of your own opinion. To your reasoning I would see a lvl 3 skiller as the same as someone who wants to do a floor in an hour as opposed to 20 minutes. The lvl 3 skiller could have leveled himself up so much faster had he went and trained his combat to just 100 in around a week to unlock many new training spots to help himself level faster. Off topic: Have you ever multi pked or been in a PKRI? That is VERY team related. Judging from your personality and how I've seen you post though with your idea of efficiency is king, I doubt you would participate in those activities many people on RS view as fun. If I don't judge you for skilling 24/7 getting your total level up (which I see as being dull) why would you judge someone for wanting to relax and do a floor slowly?
  19. You're basically trying to argue that since both parties are frustrated, neither is at fault. Fault exists, I don't understand what you gain from brushing it off as just a matter of preferences. Would it be a fault for someone to make a lvl 3 skiller? They would be able to level up much faster if they leveled combat instead to unlock better skilling locations. Or what about a person pking? They could be making more reliable money at frosts or DKs. If those are fine, why isn't it fine for a person to want to do a floor in an hour as opposed to 20 minutes?
  20. I'd agree if the community was actually well segregated between slow and rush DGers. Because then slow and rush DGers could both have the respective type of fun they want. But it's not. Pretty much everybody who dungeoneers will encounter dozens of other players who are infinitely worse than themselves. And these encounters are frustrating because they waste people's time. There would be nothing wrong if this did not happen, but it does. Dungeoneering is a situation where, most players, will be forced to play with players they are not familiar with. It's just common courtesy to not waste other people's time in these scenarios. And in this case, it can be done by not sucking. It is true that in your mind you feel that you meet many DGers who are worse than yourself. However, many of those people are this way by choice. I have nagged at many people throughout my time DGing to try get them gtgd faster or gate a door. However, many DGers just enjoy a slower paced DG where they can go at a more relaxing pace. For them w117 is actually perfect because at that pace no one would ever die and everyone in that world would be happy that they did a good floor. For DGers such as you however, you view that as unacceptable with good reasons. At the end of the day, it does not mean they are not DGing well, it just means they prefer to be slower. Haven't you ever just sat at a bank talking with a friend for an hour just to talk with them? Would you view that as an unacceptable waste of time? I certainly would not. If you're doing something you enjoy, then its a perfectly good use of my time on RS. It is only when they feel that they are DGing slow and that they want to improve themselves, then I show them a door to a different method. At the end of the day though, the most I can do is to point them in a direction. It is their own choice if they want to join the DG rush community with 3BO or stay in a slower paced DG with w117. P.S. You might think that they are wasting your time, but they might also think you are wasting their time if you get frustrated and start directing them to do certain things. If you don't like it stay in 3BO worlds or at least w148. This might just make both of you happier in the long run.
  21. Some people like taking longer in dungeons by making armor, chopping trees, fishing fish and killing every monster. There's nothing wrong with that. I don't see people judging others by making pures (which in a way is also inefficient) or making solo accounts where they have 0 interaction with other players. Hell there are even players that refuse to get p2p just because of some sense of grandeur or preference whatever reason those players choose to stay f2p when training in p2p would save both time and effort. It doesn't mean they're wrong or that they're freaks, it just means they're different than me. They have their own community and I have mine. Its no different with dungeoneering. There are players that enjoys doing slow dungeons and have friends just to participate in that, and there are dungers like me who refuse to accept a teammate who can't finish a floor in 20-30 minutes at least. All this says is that I'm different than them. Basically what I'm trying to get to here is that people are different. If you don't like rushing floors, you made a choice not to rush and you have to live with the results of your choice (smaller community of people who're willing to dung with you). If you like to rush floors, you also have to live with the fact that there are less and less "pro" dungers to dung with and it'll be harder to get teams. It's not being noob/obnoxious/elitist. It's just people being different. This honestly makes the game more interesting otherwise we'd all be maxxed total levels with the same total xp because we are all the same player.
  22. Am I the only one who thinks the new gnomes looks cute? X_x
  23. Know a couple of my friends who got their banks cleaned because of this. I'm resisting the temptation to tell them I told you so.
  24. For now my 3 binds are Prime 2h, Hood, and Hex Hunter (Got it 2 days ago and I must say I love it). If a 4th bind was to come out I'd probably get Sag/Primal Body. I'm more used to Primal since I did 60m+ xp using a melee platebody, however now that I have a HHB I should consider the range bonus on Sag. Most likely test out Sag and switch with primal to see which I like better. A 5th bind would probably mean I'd bind a Blood necklace since I have never needed more than a Prom plate to dung before and I doubt I'd need one now. 6th bind probably then Sag/Primal legs depending on my testing. Anything past that I'd need to do some heavy consideration.
