  1. The Undead Mage (The one weak to crush and lowers your stats and drops Celestial Staff) is a variant on the Sagittare. Although the Rammernaut could also be a variant since they both drop the same type of notes (weapon ordering) We're currently missing bosses which drops Primal Platebody, Primal Platelegs, Primal 2h, Primal Spear, Celestial top, Celestial Bottom, Sag top, and Sag bottom. My bet is judging by the previous patterns, the 2 Demons will drop either 2h or Spear. Not sure on much else though.
  2. Botters are slow reacting dummies programmed to do the same motion over and over again, I can see a slayer bot coming out but I'd like to see a Corp or gwd killing bot arrive and not get crashed by a good team. So if a boss hunting bot does come out, thanks for making my kills faster and giving me more loot. Anyways, my point above is, if you dont want to be affected by bots, do something that takes more skill/reflex/intelligence than something a robot can do. Idc if its solo merch, rune pk, hybrid pk, clan pk, boss hunt, rune mining, greenwall hunting or what ever. If you don't want to be affected by bots, don't do the same repetitive activity that a bot is doing. P.S. I also like Stonewall's posts. Morning and blade are also two of the most intelligent posters on these boards.
  3. CLS has an epic stab bonus, watch this guy use CLS for his iron dragons task. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yud7cGvYngo CLS has the highest stab bonus of any non pvp weapon in the game, +107. Its 10% more but 25% slower. And we already know that the guy in that video isn't all that smart or knowledgeable. He's using both bandos boots and DFS when he is praying melee and using super antifires. I second this, and aside from his [developmentally delayed]ed equipment, he's very slow. He takes his sweet time picking up drops and attacking his dragons. Not exactly a prime example of a master slayer. He'd be better off using the CLS on slash, too. I've powerslayed with CLS. At most it was 10% faster on kills than whip. I thought I was going nuts at first so I brought both CLS and whip on tasks at abby demons, dark beasts, among a few others. Dragons cls won out big time. Everything else the difference is barely noticeable. I was one of the first to get a CLS and one of the biggest advocates for CLS when dungeoneering first came out. I'm 100% convinced now that rapier > cls in probably everywhere except bandos and sara gwd. Now if only I can refund my chaotic kite and long for a rapier and maul or rapier and staff, that'd make me happy :(
  4. Impossible to say. Because atm there is no medium item for a trade from divine to phat, a divine is either = to yellow or = to purple. Which means, those who only have a divine and want to convert it into a phat can, depending on luck, either lose a huge amount of purchase power or gain a huge amount of purchase power. My belief is that Divine is still between a yellow and a purple, and that the new 3a items will fill in as the new medium item for these trades to go through. Then we can actually get a better read on how much a phat/divine actually cost.
  5. Nothing? Also, is Divine higher than yellow? Because I'm seeing more yellow for divine offers than before.... If Divine > Yellow now then I must have been living under a rock. Last I checked Yellow > Divine > Purple. I'll have to go ask a few friends of mine to know what's going on better though. I know that. I'm just saying that more people are trading in thier yellow partyhats for divine + offers...This leads me to speculate that Divines might be higher atm. but im not 100% sure. Street price market seems to be in shambles right now. With the loss of crowns and onyx, the fact that pump and disk are very close to losing all their steet value, and the lack of other items to fill in those spots, there is no transition items as there have always been since the original rare buyout. My guess is we'll have to see where everything settles after the class 4 clue update to see where everything will eventually settle.
  6. Nothing? Also, is Divine higher than yellow? Because I'm seeing more yellow for divine offers than before.... If Divine > Yellow now then I must have been living under a rock. 7. It took Divine about 6 month for the last major update. So I would get used to waiting.
  8. What you are suggesting is price manipulation of items for the sole purpose of gain at the expense of others... Something most that post in here are not interested in doing. Either that or you're suggesting something similar, which would just lead to Jagex making them unsellable like with weeds. No def not that kind of thing... I was thinking more along the lines of Summoning pouches or something along those lines. This is how it would work (idk just a thought tbh) Steps: 1)Choose item 2)Manip the price of that item privately with a handful of people 3)Get the price of that item to... X 4)Use that item as "junk" to trade off with rares. That way you get the "street" price of whichever rare you choose and you spent very little time "making" the junk. The reason this is different then a regular merch clan is because they would probably be an item nobody sold to begin with. Im pretty sure this wouldnt be at the expense of others either :x although i might be overlooking something from my own plan lol. Just a thought, i figured people already do this (see Arctic Bears tbh) You just defined price manipulation then said it's not price manipulation. Lol.
  9. None repetitive, decent xp rate, not a hard skill. I've noticed this about a week into release :/ only reason people say dung sucks is because of stubbornness to be honest.
  10. That's actually untrue. While arcane ss was bought out a friend of mine put in an offer for arcane sigil not even close to the ge update time without offering for max. It was bought for mid in about 2 hours time and he sold the shield on ge for max 4 hours later.
  11. Lol, sucks to be you. By the way, since cs'd items sell at mid in ge, it doesn't matter if you try sniping it or not. The sigil goes to a random offer. Sniping only works for items actually put into the ge by another person.
  12. Soul wars cape cost like 120k or something to replace. I lost it in PvP once before I knew this and facepalmed myself. Also I like how my skill capes look. At least my herb/rc/slayer/prayer ones I like to keep in my bank. When I'm not bank standing/being bored though I tend to use Fire/Ardy3/Spottier/Soul Wars.
  13. Lmao. Would certainly make translating 1337sp3ak into english easier.
  14. The prices right now don't support your statement. They're still crashing. My honest opinion though is that these items were panic dumped from the anticipation for level 4 clues. Once the level 4 clues are released there will be another crash due to people wanting to free up money to buy the potential "new" 3rd age as the new pumpkins/disks to buy partyhat. whether that crash would be a real crash or just another panic dump can only be determined by how people actually value these new items. My opinion is that if these new items are as hard as Jagex says (Killing boss for rare clue, ~30 minutes-1hr on clue with the same probability as 3a to receive the new high classed TT items) then they will take over as where 3a used to be before the first 3a crash (the one that led to the phat buyout) and become the new hot item for half a year-a year. All of this can be affected by probability of drop, the popularity of the new TT update, and the pricing of thee items in the GE. Difficulty/time in doing the clue will also play a major factor. For example, from the tip it thread talking about the new puzzle (celtic knots) i have absolutely no idea where I would begin on such a thing. To sum up: Easy level 4 clues with high probability and low ge pricing = GWD crash Hard level 4 clues with low probabilty and high ge pricing = GWD stable
  15. Everything's bought out again. Crash was originally due to the expectation from lvl 4 clues I believe. However the panic selling lowered the price way too fast so it was natural they'd get bought out. Claws selling at max now, although I'm not investing in them because it just seems unstable with the crash unstabalizing everything. Would be a pretty easy flip opportunity if you know what you're doing though.
  16. Any rare is a good long term investment  I think santas will reach 150mil by Christmas. Well the reason I ask is it's either a santa or a mask, and I don't like the look of masks. However hearing rumors about how many santas are still left is a little unsettling. Just know that there are A LOT more santas in the game than masks It's a good long term investment if your idea of long term is 2-5+ years. I don't like discontinued items because the price changes on those items are capped. Therefore you can make more money with short term merchanting as long as you are good at predicting items.
  17. i sense that the new tt will serve as the top notch currency to buy partyhats, which will either shatter the reputation of disk/pumpkins, or simply accompany them together. I agree, if there is a new 3a standard reward for the level 4 clues in fact, it may even be of equal or greater value than some of the lower phats. We all remb how rare 3a was and how long it took those things to crash from their street price before finally being buyable in ge.
  18. You do realize few things: 1. Bots are affecting to the supply of raw materials in a huge scale. This means the rigged supply drops the prices and forces legit people to either stick on inefficient methods (= compete with autoers) or just accept the fact that cheating has taken down one method. Basically by accepting botting you accept the fact that people are forced to get raw materials from botters, do non-buyables through non-profit methods and gain money from pvm/pvp/merchanting. If the market system worked perfectly, the supply wouldn't be rigged and the people in need of raw materials would have more choices: either get it by yourself (as it would be more efficient than now) or buy from a cast of people that basically doesn't exist at the moment. In other words: if there was no bots, people could actually get more for their yew logs and thus moneymaking and skilling methods wouldn't be so limited as they are now. Also removing bots would mean a fairer dividation between the ones who supply and the ones who are supplied. 2. Botting is away from skillers. Look at hunter for example. First of all their achievments are devalued as the levels are more common and there's in some cases (i.e. when you have mid levels in most of the skills and 99 hunter) a huge doubt casted over the methods you used. This doesn't exactly encourage people to train the skill: there are easier capes to get and as they are generally macrofree (compare the number of autocookers to autohunters for example), they don't give you the same judging. On the second thing: certain things have become more or less painful for legit players to do. As we used hunter as an example, lets stick on it. If you want to train your hunter, the actual skilling methods are really limited. The 2nd problem is that the most common hunter spot is crowded as the night club's toilet due autoers. In other words training certain skills is either really painful due artificial activity at the very few useable spots or you have to rely on secondary methods. 3. It rigs hiscores. Ok sure, basically hiscores are correctly showing the order of the people. However it fails in one thing: it doesn't tell you are you the one who has actually worked 1005065th hardest for mining for example: there are multiple accounts out there that have gained unfair advantage by using third party programs to boost their performance and thus appears to be higher on the lists. People actually do care about hiscores and the way how they've been jumping from "best of the server" and "top 1k" to "top millions" just shows it. 4. Autoing takes up server space and customer support resources. This means that productive hours and resources are being wasted on things that shouldn't be there in the first place. Sure it might sound "nothing" if few people waste in total ~10 working hours per day looking at macro reports and few people do fulltime antimacro programming. However all that time could be put on more productive things, such as game engine updates and other customer support related issues. 1. Botting allows those who choose to be efficient to perform at a much higher level. It's the same in real life. Unless you pay $60 in real life for a T-Shirt you're probably wearing clothing from a sweat shop, our IRL "botters". You choose to be inefficient and afk train with the botters so you can only blame yourself on the tiny profit/hr you're making. 2. If you really care that much about the high scores I can't speak for you. I personally play the game for fun instead of for ranks so I probably don't understand how you feel. 3. Same as #2. 4. This is the point of this thread though. To see if Botters are actually worth the resources for Jagex to hunt down at their own expense. I personally report botters I see along my way while in RS but is it actually worth getting less updates and higher membership prices to combat the bots? I personally feel that it's not worth it cleaning up probably the small population of RS who bots in exchange for resources that Jagex can spend on improving Dungeoneering, releasing new quests, or developing new gameplay/graphic updates.
  19. Long term is what ever their alch prices is. For the short term though, I'd say its pretty stable. Sure it crashes every now and then, but it is nearly always followed by a buyout and fluctuate between the same average.
  20. Apps. I personally like to correct someone who is new to a clan in gearing, setting up banks, or training his stats to become the best warrer he/she can be. Then again I am a perfectionist so if I really do manage apps my clan would probably die out from the lack of new members ;)
  21. If you do not want bots to affect your way of making money, do not compete with bots. It is your choice that you rather make 100k/hr fishing sharks rather than 1m/hr killing Green Dragons or even PvP tricking. The Opportunity cost for you to do a relazing skill or get decent xp is that you'd lose out on making millions doing another activity. It is your own choice and no one is forcing you to stay at that choice but yourself. Opportunity cost. You spent the time cutting yews and miss out on millions and wonder why you can't make money faster. No one is pointing a gun at your head saying leave the yew tree and I'll shoot.
  22. Not sure if this will matter but I thought I might as well put it out there. For the most popular MH gear in the GWD for melee (Not including corp since Warrior Ring has no stab bonus). My point here is to illustrate the percentage gains by both Berserker ring and Warrior ring in a high defense situation. This is the Base Gear I have started out with. The only Stats here that matters is Slash and Strength since we are using a Godsword and that any half decent MH knows Defense in this gear no longer matters for anyone. Neit Helm Fury Bandos Top + Bottom Barrows Glove Fire Cape Dragon Boots AGS. Slash - 155 Strength - 169 Warrior Ring Benefits +4 Slash(2.58% boost) imbued +8 Slash (5.16%) Berserker Ring Benefits +4 Str (2.37%) imbued +8 (4.73%) So basically, the way I see this is, you can either use an accuracy approach to hit 2.58-5.16% more often (hitting 1 less 0 in 39 tries to 1 less 0 in 19 tries) or use a Str approach and hit 2.37-4.73% higher on hits (AGS max without spec is 649, so a 4.73% boost makes it 680(679.6977 but RS rounds up) Allowing for a 0-31 extra damage each hit. Therefore, the question isn't a matter of hitting something like 500-500 vs 530-0 but a matter of 500*19 vs 530*18. Disclaimer: Due to no one able to come up with a true RS hit formula, the above calculation takes in very high amount of speculation. Therefore it is only a theory and can only be taken as such.
  23. Depends, if you prefer PvP, arcane (Unless you're not in +1 worlds). If you prefer PvM then Spectral.
