  1. Dungeon is an pretty fun MINIGAME in my opinion. I honestly felt that Jagex felt pressured to release a new skill so they packaged a minigame as a skill. Is it fun? yes. Is it really a skill? I would debate that it is not.
  2. Seeing as the accepted speed of training at the moment is Slayer (25-30k/hr), RC (25-35k/hr), Agil/mining(45-55k/hr) I'd rank 35-40k/hr at lvl 70ish as slow.
  3. I'd say I can get around 25-30k xp/hr fairly easily. I've only played a few solos or 5 mans a day and it's still been fairly easy leveling up. I'd say this is probably the 3rd slowest to level after slayer and runecraft.
  4. You can't eat against a 1 hit ko. The 1 hit KO hits (Super high hits, ex. the giant eyeball's 600 hit on meleers) can all be avoided if you simply pay attention. All the bosses are similar to the Nomad fight, as long as you pay attention they won't max over a 400 on you. The max any of these bosses has hit on me when I've done everything right was a 330, and highest i seen people get hit is like a 350.
  5. The dungeon bosses are a joke compared to corp. The only reason why you might think they are harder than corp is because of the horrid gear. If I see a lvl 500+ boss in the room I always make sure to get the team at least full Katagon or higher. Those armor paired with anything like a Promethium 2h is enough so that you can take it down fairly easily in a 5 people team. The only boss that I've faced so far that is irritating is the Saggitarious seeing as it can constantly bind you, pray range, and has insanely high mage def. But even that monster is just a matter of time rather than difficulty.
  6. Atm the only GS I use is AGS and BGS. Ags for pure laziness of clicking claw + clicking spec (yes, I am THAT lazy) along with lending out junk. BGS for corp is the 2nd best spec weapon after SWH. My ZGS and SGS has been sitting in my bank now for 2 weeks doing nothing but gathering dust and looking pretty. Honestly if I did not feel the need to have a full GS set, I would not even glance at those 2 things.
  7. One of two things will happen. 1. Jagex sells gold, huge money influx, item prices skyrocket due to massive inflation (We already know there are plenty of people willing to spend massive amount of real life money for in game money) 2. Jagex sells items and gold, confidence in the entire economy collapse as people refuse to buy items such as GS/Sp shields due to fear of price crash. These items however wont even come close to the devastating impact it will have on the rares market as the only leverage rares have over regular items is lost. Phats and Santas along with other discontinues literally becomes useless. Either way, the players loses. Those who buys in game gold will find that by the time they have the gold, the real value of money in game have plummeted greatly. Those who does not participate in this will also lose as the entire economy crumbles.
  8. Last part of the second article. Priceless
  9. Dragon bolts works on Kree. I've been bored and used the d bolt dropson her before hitting 50+ Even if say a figure of 90% of the item will not be sold, a MASS abusing of this bug will still bring in plenty of enchanted bolts. Let's just say the crash of the ranged ammo has begun. onyx bolts wont crash either Their GE price is already less than their alchemy value + nature rune Never knew onyx bolts alch for that much. I guess the people who managed to dupe onyx bolts really won out here. As long as they keep their mouths shut until the heat dies down no one will ever know and they'd become instant billionaires.
  10. Since this was a pretty well known bug and was widely abused, I wouldnt be surprised that more than 1billion d bolts was created in this time frame. Assuming Jagex is able to catch 90% of all the abusers, that leaves about 100million d bolts in the market. This will easily cause d bolts to crash to about 1k each. Here is where it gets tricky. If d bolts crash that low, diamond bolts and other high classed bolts/range ammo would go down with it. No one would be interested in range ammos such as onyx or diamond or ruby even if dragon bolts prices became cheap. This would cause a widespread collapse in the entire upper tier range ammo market. Those would leak to the entire range ammo market causing nearly all range ammos to crash. Now if we look at the effect even wider, the gem/bars market must also be affected. People originally training smithing using bars to make into bolts would stop buying the bars as bolts would no longer sell. Magic trainers using cosmic amongst other runes to enchant bolts would stop purchasing those runes. Gems used to create enchanted bolts would also fall in price due to wide demand collapse (dragonstone and onyx might be excluded due to other uses). My point, I don't see how the market cant get cabbaged unless Jagex does a rollback. (Which would make me very unhappy as I got 4 out of my total of 6 d bow drops today :'( )
  11. Really amazing. I still sometimes maintain that Larryr should have gotten there first in my head, but what Odin has done is just really amazing. Early congrats to him.
  12. GF mint cakes. GF double nats. Hello fast free double law/death/blood? I'm tempted to rc once again.
  13. happened all over w71. I edge tele'd with ancient and it happend soon as i finished teleing, was freaky
  14. You never know, he might be onto something here. There are small island nations that trade commodities within an economy using oddly shaped stones that are rarely found as it has been accepted as a medium of exchange. Technically, if one is to say mint cake is useless in game, a similar argument can be made to say that gold and silver is useless in real life. Mint cake for the moment does seem to be accepted as some form of medium of exchange in the rares market. How long it will last can only depend on rate of obtaining and people's confidence. Also my friend who did the gnome minigame for about a month estimated his average mint cake to come once every 2-3 hours. (Although he also recieved numerous GTP, goggles, and scarfs)
  15. RS's version of the "ENRON and Madoffs". Unfortunately, under Jagex's current system, it is not illegal.
  16. I remeber that hill was not there in RSC. It must have been added after RS2's release. As for it's significance, could be a tribute to The Old Nite.
  17. Better be safe than sorry, I will be making my pw into something even harder to brute force as well as additional procautions. Although to be honest, if I do happen to be hacked It'll finally be the end of the drug that is known to me as runescape :/ (Yes my name is on the list >.>)
  18. ROW's effect is minuscule, I always use zerker i even before the fero ring.
  19. I like to point out, according to the RS Trading cards (lol, still cracks me up everytime I think about it) Jad is stronger than Corp Beast. Pretty sure that source is a bit inaccurate.
  20. Would be neat to know. It surprised me a lot when I realized that living rock creatures possibly have 0-1 defense (Turmoil defense was 15%). Also for people who thinks this is a useless project, ask all the dharokers who's looking for monsters with low def + high hp :P Not to mention this gives a whole new perspective on slayer tasks (Would you rather block something with 1 def or 100 def?)
  21. The cooking article did not say that much to me. Seemed like only an attempt at getting a new food introduced. Also completely excluding Papple pizzas is a bit annoyed (the food that is capable of preventing ko's the best. I like to see a tuna potato save someone from 5 50+ hits in a row.) I agreed with RSw44's article completely on pmods. Pmod quality has been decreasing day after day. In fact, I've seen many pmods who often abuses their status to threaten other players, being elitist and refused to help newer players, and in fact being idiots all around. Jagex really need to rethink how they pick out their mods because at the current state, the pmod sophistication and maturity is at an all time low. It is almost as if they are picking these player's names out of a hat and randomly handing out crowns to anyone with half way high stats.
  22. This seems to be the standard approach, but I'm wondering why? (I haven't tried it yet.) It seems to me that against something that uses three attack styles, you wear mele armour (which protects against both mele and range) and pray mage. This is especially so if, as I've heard, you do the big damage with the axe. So if I wear full bandos (or torags), dragon boots, zerker ring, it seems I could withstand most attacks and get better hits. Is the answer that her mele attacks are stronger than her mage? you could do that, but personaly i wore melee legs ,switching between a dhide and mage top. also, she uses the same style in a row for awhile, so you can change prayers with her. personaly, i went thu the entire quest banking once. (and that was more to store stuff than to restock.) Used ahrims + axe with rune xbow in inven. pretty easy.
  23. I got tired of the 3 dagganoths piling vargas so I ended up ice barraging that part. Other than that it was fairly long but easy and fun.
  24. There are hidden updates in RS all the time. In fact there is a sticky completely dedicated to them on here. You should post it on there telling them to add it to that sticky.
